Pre 10 - unable to upload projects to video sharing websites

All my projects are in PAL-AVCHD_HD_1080i 25. the option to upload to video shearing sites does not work. Why?

Leaving the Internet aside for the moment you may well find your PRE experience better without McAfee anyway - in recent times many problems posted to this forum are solved by disabling McAfee during an editing session. If you have no strong allegiance to the product you might consider installing the free Microsoft Security Essentials, it uses less resources than some of the big name commercial products.
For the firewall click the Start icon and type firewall. From the options that appear select "Windows Firewall" from the Control Panel section. You can then turn it on or off.

Unable to upload Projects

Hi,
we.ve beening using robohelp now for about 2 years.
recently we have noticed we cannot at all upload any project
files.
No permission changes have been made.
We are now using robohelp 7.
on iis6 2003 sp2 server.
When trying to publish, on the client side we are seeing;
Publishing has been cancelled. Connection Failed. Please
check connection and post again.
Native error: cannot accept uploading file. Further
processing is stopped.
Infact, what we have found that when this happens, it is able
to actually create a single html file and directory which is part
of the project on the web server. So, this itself should rule out
permissions.
Also upon loading the Configuration manager on the webserver,
we are now recieving error; unable to create virtual directory:
roboengine.
we can confirmt eh virtual directory exist and is present in
IIS.
We have run port analysers on a test environemtn we have, and
have confirmed that transfer are over port 80. Which is definately
open on this server.
we have also confirmed that no a/v protection is halting the
transfer process.
We have had 3 of our own technical staff working on this
issue for 3 days without any succcess. Unfortunately, as we are in
Australia - we cannot recieve technical support from adobe, which
we are extermely dissapointed in, considering we have just spent
$10k au in licenses for this product recently.

How can I upload projects to my own website?

When I create my own photo slide shows, or collages or whatever I want to be able to just upload them to my own personal website. Just like you can with the Jalbum software. I tried using the option to upload them to the website Adobe creates for you on their website but it doesn't work properly. Photos are blank and/or missing, and it's a hassle to notify people of it, etc. I want to know if there is a way to save them in HTML format or whatever so you can just upload them to your own personal website with out having to use Adobe's website and you can just share it that way. Thanks for your help and time!

Unable to upload photos to any website

I am unable to upload any photos to any websites.
When I try to upload photos I just get the rainbow wheel and I either have to force quit (it shows the browser in "not responding") or if I leave it long enough it will "quit unexpectedly".
The uploading process encounters error as soon as I hit upload and it opens the box, I am not even able to choose where I would like to upload from.
I have tried this using the browsers: Safari, Opera, and Firefox.
I have tried to upload photos to facebook, craigslist, shutterfly (I can upload to shutterfly using their extension in iphoto), walmartphoto, and a few other b/s/t forums.
As far as trouble shooting I have erased cookies, emptied cache, deleted my history, shut down all applications, restarted my computer, done a virus scan, reset preferences, unblocked and reblocked pop-ups, reset safari, made sure software was up to date, uninstalled and reinstalled Opera and Firefox...
This has been going on a few months now so I have searched people having similar issues and have tried a few of their tactics but it seems as if their issues were to a specific website so I have not found anything that even slightly improves the issue yet.

I'm having exactly the same issue. This is the first time I've tried to do a bulk upload of photos to Flickr since upgrading to Mavericks.
@Rudegar: SaifMaster said that the old Java single file uploader did work. This isn't an issue with Java, it could be an issue with Flash on Mavericks though

I also have this problem, as does everybody else I know who has tried to use the video in icloud. As the original poster says, they can be uploaded, but will only play on the device from which they were originally uploaded, appeaering only as images which display an endless buffering symbol when "played" on any other devices with which the photostream is shared.
Has anyone been able to get this to work? And if not, why is there no acknowledgement from Apple that this bug exists and will be addressed in an update (now running 7.0.2 and still no improvement)? It was, after all, advertised as one of the attractive new features of iOS 7. So why the stony silence?

I keep getting the following error message while sharing my iMovie to iDVD. "Unable to prepare project for publishing" error (-2125). I'm running iMovie 09 v. 8.0.6 on a iMac with OSX v 10.6.8, 2Ghz core duo, 1GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM. Any ideas why?

That particular error comes up for a number of reasons, sometimes it's the size of the movie you're trying to export. Bengt Wärleby a longtime contributor to the iMovie Discussion Group has advised a number of people on this error code, so I am going to link to his latest advice he's given to anyone trying to export to DVD from iMovie: Bengt's tips for great DVDs.
Specifically, try bypassing Share to iDVD by using Share to Media Browser instead.
In the Share to Media Browser dialog box choose the Large Size.
When(If?) it gets through that process, quit iMovie altogehter then go to iDVD.
Create a new project and click on the Media button near the lower right hand side of the Project Window.
Then click the Movies button in the Browser window just above that.
Under the iMovie star icon you should see the name of the project you shared out from iMovie.
Drag that into the project and burn the DVD.
If it's still to large or you get the same -2125 error code trying to Share using the Medium size instead. But again if you really get stuck consult Bengt Warleby's User tips:

I am unable to upload any photos to photo sharing sites?

For the last two days I have been unable to upload any photos regardless of size to a professional photo sharing website. I have tried everything possible such as disabling my Norton services, emptying the DNS cache, clearing all browers histories and all cookies. I've tried creating new accounts on the website and nothing has worked. I then tried to upload photos to another site and when the photo started to load it said that I lost internet connection yet I didn't. I am able to use my daughter's dell and can upload photos just fine on any site with her computer. I did a live chat with Norton and they ran me through a series of things as well and said it is something with my mac. Does anyone have any suggestions???? I'm at a complete loss and beyond frustrated with this entire experience.

Hi, Thank you so much for the info.... I really do appreciate it. We had the laptop updated by way of a system upgrade with RAM and an additional SSD drive. Once reconfigured all programs were reinstalled but Iphoto is not among them. Iphoto was on the laptop when purchased so we have no additional discs. Before the laptop was updated we backed the photos up to an extrenal hard drive so we have them, but cant access them. Could I purchase Iphoto 8 stll? Would this work? We would also require an external CD drive as we no longer have the disc drive in the laptop (I think the extra new bits took over). You may have noticed I have very limited knowledge on computers so any help dispite how simple it may sound to some would help me greatly. I just want all my photos back .... Thanks inadvance... Captivate - bitrate suggestions for rescaled project w video only capable of "custom settings" publishing

Hello all, it seems Captivate really limits your MP4-video publishing/encoding options when you've rescaled the project (e.g., 150% size so 'stage' can accommodate both powerpoint and video). I want to publish in MP4 video but Captivate blocks my attempts to use any of the 'preset' settings (e.g., iPad, youtube.., etc.). It will only allow me to publish with "custom settings" which means I need to select the target and maximum bitrates, which Captivate seems to have as 2 and 4, respectively, as defaults. (9 is the max available, btw). I can also choose if I want to republish each frame (or 'slide', can't remember which). I published the first time with the custom setting defaults (2 and 4) and also checked the box for republish each frame/slide. I just now played the resultant MP4 file saved on my computer and the results are really horrible -- continual stuttering and restarting of the audio and video (and a seeming improper synchronization with the powerpoint slides (somewhat different from the slide change points that I had selected and saved previously in the "edit video timing" option under "video". Again, this is just from playing it from my harddrive. I didn't even bother trying to stream it as the results would probably be even worse.
It almost seems as if Captivate can't even handle the basic task of producing a powerpoint presentation that has one long video spread out across the different slides, with the video sharing space on the (enlarged) stage.

UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange - works for most but not for VIDEO.

• streamingDV, AIC etc. (not .avi, .mp4, .m4v, .wmv etc as they are containers not codecs)
Pictures
• in what format ? .jpg, .bmp, .tif, else ?

• from where/what format ? iTunes, .avi, .mp3, .aiff, else ?

I fixed the problem.. but it was very, very strange. I had a very long section for credits and set the line spacing to 1.0.. for some reason this caused it. I removed it, and it worked fine. I put it back, and I couldn't preview or play the video.
I don't know why that could cause that big of a problem, but it did..

Where do Your material come from
• Camera
• External hard disk
• USB-memory
And all are connected so that iMovie can find it ?

• Finalizing project - I never do as I never understood the gain to do so
• Share as HD to iDVD - never give any gain but if it works the resulting DVD is less quality than if SD-quality was shared

Share Media Browser - "Unable to prepare project ... error occurred (-108)"

Finally got my sequence rebuilt after discovering bug/quirk with iMovie (details later). When sharing movie either via/Media Browser or "Export Movie" option after 10-15 min. get this exact message: "Unable to prepare project for publishing. The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred (-108)." It plays wonderfully in preview (full screen or normal) from beginning to end. Any ideas?
Bug/quirk discovered. Long time on this project. Had it exactly like I wanted, would generate movie and have mysterious background audio when video tracks were purposely muted. Playing within iMovie environment it worked flawlessly and would only show up in rendered movie. Also the background audio didn't match the playing video clip but was coming from other included clips elsewhere in the movie. BIG mystery. Tried breaking apart movie and re-doing. Still crept in. Finally discovered I had duplicate video files in the ./iMovie Events/ directory, "<filename> 1.mov". I surmise that iMovie is using the most recent duplicate, "<filename> 1.mov" which I was muting but the rendering process was using the original "<filename>.mov" clips. Still a mystery on audio not matching clip but it could be due the trimming I had done throwing the timing off. The duplicates happened when I had moved/copied video content in "Event Library" to manage disk consumption. It failed somewhere in the process and I ended up with duplicate video clips. The aforementioned quirk/bug still appears to not be corrected with latest update as it still occurs.

• Turn off TimeMachine during use of iMovie - use to set Heap Zone right
• Turn off Mac totally and re-start - Frees up RAM
• Secure a minimum of 25Gb free space on Start-Up hard disk - so that iMovie and Mac OS can store it's temp.files here. IMPORTANT
