PRE 9- installed extra content from DVD, but still getting prompt?
I just installed Premiere Elements 9 from DVD.
I also installed the second DVD of extra content.
When I start up the PRE 9 program, I get a prompt warning me to "Install Full Content- a reduced set of content... has been installed. You can install the full content by inserting your content DVD or downloading it."
Even though I had already installed the second DVD of content (which was a LOT of content!), I put in the DVD again. This time, the installer wanted to REMOVE the content, so I took the disc out before going any further.
I am not sure if the additional content was successfully installed or not. If so, how do I get rid of that popup prompt?
When I have a project open in PRE9 and open the Disc Menus tab, there is a dropdown box of menus by filter, including Entertainment, General, Happy Birthday, etc.
If I click on Entertainment, for example, I have a choice of Art in Motion, Music video, Performance Star, Broadway, Popcorn, or Stage. There is a Main Menu and Scene Menu for each of them. Happy Birthday has Balloons, Birthday Party and Kids Party. Etc.
Do I have the additional content properly installed, or is there supposed to be more than this? If there is, how do I get the PRE 9 program to recognize what I already installed from that second disc?

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
16.0 GB RAM
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor 3.20 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series graphics card

I have a white Macbook 2009 on OSX Lion. It came with the OSX Snow Leopard CD, I erased the HDD and am trying to install the OSX from disc but am getting "cannot install OSX from disc" message. What can I do?

When the installer is done and the computer is back up and running run Software Update to get to 10.6.8

Have firewall exception but still get prompted every time
I have DropBox added to my firewall exception list to allow it to accept incoming connections but every time I login i still get the system prompt me to asj if I want to allow incoming connections for DropBox.
Anybody have any idea why is this happening and how can I stop it?

I'm experiencing the same problem with a bunch of programs on both my MacBook Air (which I just bought a few days ago) and with my iMac. Both are completely up-to-date, but the issue has existed on my iMac for almost a year (just after I bought Snow Leopard). I've tried everything from trying to fix permissions to reinstalling iTunes, Vuze, etc. right down to wiping the drive and reinstalling everything from scratch.
I've even called Apple support about this problem, but I never get a strait answer, just a who bunch of mumbling and guessing and vague suggestions. I'm going to take my Macbook Air to the Apple Store in my town this coming week to sit down with a "pro" to figure out whether Apple actually CAN help or if I need to become a darn developer myself to fix the issue.

I lost connectivity to internet thru Firefox a while ago. Contacted my ISP and we tried many things before discovering it was a Firefox issue, not a modem or router or browser issue. Even after uninstalling/einstalling Firefox fresh, I still cannot connect to internet and get the "Unable to connect- Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.yahoo.com" message.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Identities are exempt from auth, but still being prompted
Six of the seven identities we have are set to exempt from authentication, as is the global policy. The one identity that requires authentication is disabled. Yet some users get intermittent prompts for credentials in Firefox, and in some cases with Outlook as well.
What might be causing this, and is there a way to turn this off?We have a routing issue where these users are hitting a different Ironport appliance than the one they should be using. So it is working as expected...

Hi all. I have tried installing itunes and quick time many times and have finally got quicktime but no itunes . I have followed apple support and disabled anti virus and everything etc and also tried installing itunes manually from tools but still get error code. also when getting to apple mobile support and starter etc i get verify that i have sufficient priviledges ? Anyone know what the heck all this is about guys ?????

I downloaded Motion 5 extra content several times, but where is it? Motion 5 doesn't seem to recognize it and I'd like to confirm its on my disk somewhere. Any ideas?
Applications you download from the Mac App Store store any extra content within the application package itself.
To see if you have the content, right-click, or control-click the Motion 5 icon, and choose "Show Package Contents" - in the new window that appears, open the Contents folder. If you have downloaded the extra content you'll see a folder named Library Content, which should be around 1 GB in size.

I couldn't open the files from a Canon XF 300 into Final Cut Pro 7, so I downloade the plugin from Apple but still can't open the files. I opened and clicked on the installer icon. I'm not sure the plugin was actually installed. C

Message was edited by: BigDealCam123As you probably know the Canon plug-in enables Log & Transfer in FCP7. I'm not sure whether it works with Final Cut Express or not.
Look in Applications>Canon Utilities. I'm running 10.6 as well and that is where it's located on my machine.

was asked to update itunes last week and since then itunes won't open, un-installed it and followed the necessary steps then tryed to install it from scratch but still no luck. It says it has been successfully installed, but no sign of it on my computer.

created a movie in IMOVIE and transferred it to dvd but cannot get it to play on my dvd player. i downloaded the free Burn program since i don't have idvd on my new mac the dvd comes up disk error or cannot read. I am using a dvd-r dvd and my dvd player says that it uses this type of dvd. Any suggestions. I spoke to an Apple Support person who helped me burn the dvd but it still didn't work...help???
There's a difference between a data DVD, and a DVD-Video. I believe you made a data DVD, which can't be played in a video player. The Burn feature of the Finder can't author a DVD-V, just data discs.
I assume you made a Project, and put clips from your Event Library into the Project. But then, how did you output your Project, using the SHARE menu?
When I pull down iMovie '11s SHARE menu, "iDVD..." is one of the options. It's the job of iDVD to make the menu that appears when you insert a DVD into your player (that says the title, and chapters, and extras, etc.). You need software that will made a DVD-V disc. Lacking that, you might be able to go to Share/Export Movie... or Share/Export using QuickTime... to get your video into a format that software like Roxio's Toast could burn. -

I have gone through the procedure for downloading and installing the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, but still get the same messages when I reopen Firefox and revisit these sites.
There does not seem to be the same problem with Safari, which runs the latest version of Adobe Flash Player with no trouble.

For Firefox on 64 bit Windows, you need the 32 bit Flash version version because Firefox is a 32 bit application.

I was trying to upgrade to itunes 10.x on Windows 7 Pro. The installation stuck at the stage "Registering iTunes automation server". I removed the Antivirus software and re-install iTunes again. But still get same problem. Any solution?

In short:
a) press Windows key + "R", enter "cmd", and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter (= runs as admin)
b) enter "netsh winsock reset" and pres enter
c) reboot the computer

Unfortunately you've discovered too late how important it is to maintain an up-to-date backup of your iTunes library (and all other data of value). You could, before wiping the drive, have considered making use of a commercial data recovery service that could (albeit at considerable cost) have extracted your library from the hard disk, even if virus infected.
In the absence of that option, you will need to restore the content of your library from its original sources:
Depending on your location, you may be able to re-download any iTunes Store purchases that are still available on the Store
Likewise, most digital purchases from Amazon (including auto-rip copies of purchased CDs) should be available from the Amazon Cloud and via the Amazon Music application - the same may be true of other commercial sources for digital downloads
Content imported from your CDs will have to imported again
The specific situation that you describe regarding the music imported from your friend's external HDD suggests that either the source is badly organized and/or originates from a source other than iTunes (other media players may use alternative tags for information like artist, title, album, etc. that are not wholly consistent with how iTunes handle these). Without details of the issues you're seeing it is difficult to suggest a remedy other than going through the media album-by-album, track-by-track, and correcting the inconsistencies.
In the absence of a backup or access to the original library data there is no option other than painstakingly recreating your library as described above. As you do so, you'll now realize how important creating and maintaining backups are - in my case I have at all times three separate duplicates of my library, in two different locations, where none is ever more than a week old compared to the content of my master library. -
When I start iTunes I get the following message. "A required iTunes component is not installed. Please repair or reinstall iTunes (-42404)". I have installed the latest version of iTunes but still get this message. Can anyone help?

iTunes has various components bundled with it that it requires for general usage. I advise that we completely remove iTunes and all of these related components, verify that they have been removed, then reinstall. To do so, please follow the steps in this article:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

Note: it is important to remove the 7 components in order. Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
If the above does not resolve your issue, I recommend we reset the SC Info folder:
