PRE 9 update?

When loading PRE9 this morning, the download mgr advised of a program update. I agreed to the update and completed the download. I cannot determine/confirm if the download was successful i.e. Help>About nor find any references to advise the reason for this upgrade.

I would like to know the reason for the PSE update 9.0.1.0. In the Adobe Application Manager, there is this incomplete statement:
"This update fixes a problem on Single core CPU's... Learn More"
Clicking on 'Learn More' brings up the Adobe Products update page but nothing at all on the PSE 9.0.1.0 update.

I have had PSE/PRE 9 for some time. worked fine until a week ago the organizer would not open. So due to Adobe's ridiculously bad support, I finally purchased PSE/PRE 11 because the guy said I would get support for that. Turns out he was full of @#$%. I was told that they no longer support this product THAT I HAD JUST PURCHASED. Here are my problems:
I downloaded 11, extracted the files and it all just disappeared. Not in my downloads, nowhere in my computer.
I called adobe, after being transferred from sales to customer support to technical support multiple times and after 2 hours 20 minutes on the phone, a guy told me to download the trial version and just use the serials that I had just purchased. That worked, but it only has limited functionality, none of the support, help, update type of things work (gives error code: U41m1c212), it won't import my catalogs from version 9 (when I click on "import catalog from previous versions" it just disappears), and it freezes and/or shuts down if I do much more than stare intently at the screen. I have tried to download again, but after download and extraction, when it should install, it only gives me an option to UNinstall. The install helper, that is supposed to help find problems with installation won't install. I don't have a clue what to do at this point, IDK if I will lose everything if I uninstall. IDK where all my cataloging and tagging from version 9 has gone. PLEASE HELP

Do you receive any specific error messages during the installation process? What about when you open Photoshop Elements? You can check your install logs by following the steps listed at Troubleshoot install using logs | Elements - http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-install-using-logs-elements.html.

PrE 8 'updates' greyed out = can't update!

I've been having the recent problems with PrE 8 not loading/crashing and want to follow the instructions to update (An update to Premier Elements is available to resolve crash/quit issues. To install launch Adobe Premiere Elements 8 and go to Help > Updates.)
My problem is that 'updates' is greyed out and not clickable??!""

Someone on this forum mentioned that turning off McAfee solved his problem
with PE8. That suggestion is buried somewhere on this forum and I ran across it in desparation after installing PE8 on my girlfriend's computer.
Hunt (on this forum) recommends one should NEVER use real-time scanning when one is video-editing. He is right. Turn it off and don't connect to the net either. It's best to reboot your computer, turn off the scanning, and close other system tray items (if possible) and then use PE8.
I would also recommend looking for the PE .EXE (there are two) and making a shortcut to the one that is not that start-up screen. It's best to go right into the program.

Palm pre certificate update

Hi. today the root certificate of my palm pre expired and I can´t download any app from the Palm catalog. I couldn´t update the certificate and people from the HP support don´t know how to update this certificate. I followed all the steps in the HP instructions but nothing happened, so I´d like to know if somebody knows how to update the certificate or if somebody has the same trouble. Is it possible to update the certificate using webosdoctor or webosquickinstall? May be using internalz? Please help me because I can´t access the cloud services. I have webos 1.4.0 compilation 52 carrier Telcel.

Have you tried rebooting the phone? Power it off, pull the battery, wait 30 seconds and reassemble. Try to install the update again.
Both of my TouchPads and my Pre3 updated fine. I had very little Preware on them, and one tablet was completely stock.
There is a thread or two about this issue over at webosnation.com.
According to HP, if you continue to have trouble, try setting the date on the phone to July 1, 2013, turn off the Network Time setting, and try again.
Since you are running 1.4.0, you have to open the app catalog, search for the word "update", find the update, tap the "Free" button, then the "Launch" button when it finishes downloading. Now change the time to current.

Reconforming NanoFlash Audio Files On Pre 502 Update Projects

Hi, This forum has been extremely helpful. Thanks you. In 502 update the audio issues with NanoFlash files has been fixed. However, projects created before the 502 update still have issues with audio. One suggestion was to remove the PEK and CFA files form the Media Cache files so they would reconform and work. Are there any other files I need to delete beside PEK and CFA to get this work? Does anyone else have another solution? Thanks Roman

Pre-emptive Update Question, v.7 to CS3

Hi There!
Currently I own a Dual G4 867 MHz Mac PowerPC, OS 10.4.10, with Photoshop 7 installed. I'll be upgrading to a 24" iMac (2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) at the end of the summer and I want to upgrade to Photoshop CS3 at that time as well.
From what I've read, the CS3 upgrade package will update a v.7 program, but the apparent problem is that v.7 does not work AT ALL with Mac's new Leopard 10.5 OS, which all the iMacs are being shipped with. So how do I go about installing v.7 in order to upgrade to CS3?

Return to pre-2013 update for Bookmark only?

I updated my 2008 macbook with the 2013 free software so I have Mac OS X Lion version 10.7.5 and I am happy with it except for the change to Bookmarks. Is there anyway to just undo the update to Bookmarks? I want to click the Bookmark emblem on the browser quick links and have the browser window display the bookmarks with the half screen showing the website photos. I hate the drop down menu of Bookmarks because I have not discovered any way to search my bookmarks and when I do select a bookmark and want to go back to that same spot in the Bookmarks and choose one close by, I have to scroll and scroll again to find it where was; before I would hit back or open a new browser window and be taken to my current location in the bookmarks list.

Cancel Pre-release update

Hi.
I was on the public beta of OS X Yosemite. After the final release I didn't updated (I thought it will update automatically and I don't need to install it from app store). Anyway.
Some time ago Apple released update 10.10.1 (14B17) that was appeared in App Store. It says "install this update on a system or partition you are prepared to erase". I don't want to install this update.
After that I've installed OS X Yosemite from App Store but this update isn't disappear.
How can I cancel this updates now and in the future?

Update failed. Windows - Creative Suite 5 Premium. Trying to update Camera Raw.

My apologies if I'm not following the correct protocol on this forum. It's my first time here.
I'm a novice with Photoshop and the Creative Suite, and until now I have only used its basic features.
However, I tried to upload a RAW format image today, only to learn that program won't accept it.
I tried to update the Camera Raw plug-in, but it doesn't want to install.
I tried updating the whole suite using the "Help" and Update menus.
It downloads the appropriate updates for my version, and apparently begins to install them.
However, after the install bar reached 60-70 percent, it stops and says installation failed.
It is properly registered product - the serial number is in My Account.
Can anyone suggest a fix for me please?

You see, I've asked this same question twice before, because Firefox has once again for the third time updated by browser DESPITE MY PLEADING REQUEST TWICE BEFORE NOT TO DO SO. but now I have a platform to make Firefox's DISHONESY public, putting them to task for specifically defying a very adamant request, NOT TO UPDATE MY BROWSER, CIRCUMSTANCES THAT have consistently, repeatedly occurred throughout all the years I've been with Firefox since 2005.
Why is it that Firefox deliberately continues to defy, ignore the wishes of its most loyal customers inflame me beyond words, when I've repeatedly made it KNOWN QUITE WELL NOT TO HAVE MY BROWSER UPDATED.
BUT NOW AFTER ALL THIS TIME, TOGETHER WITH THE INSIGHT I HAVE ACCRUED AS AN IT INDUSTRY SPECIALIST I do very well know why Firefox CONTINUES THIS PRACTICE WITH ABANDON.
1.They don't like anyone fooling around with the about:config (then why did you ever include it in the first place) the way I do.
2. They don't like anyone making incompatible add-ons extensions COMPATIBLE again the way I do.
3. They don't like anyone tampering with Firefox the way I do.
And all Firefox has to do to nullify all the meticulous hard work I spend changing about:config. configurations to accommodate my own and my company's needs and all the hard work. spending time enabling newly incompatible extensions I need to work as efficiently and effectively as possibleamong other things that I've tweaked, WHICH I EXACTLY WHAT YOU DO FOR THE REASONS I GAVE. YOU DO IT deliberately, spitefully so. And that is the definitive reason for YOUR total defiance in disregarding a customer's request. Additionally, YOU, fIREFOX feel that since YOU wrote the code, and own the code, YOU can insist USERS follow the Firefox protocols exactly as YOU demand.
Another example of YOUR dictatorial approach to browsing the web is that that YOU feel no one should dare take a gander at content that is not up to the standards of WHAT YOU BELIEVE IS purity AND ANY OTHER CONTENT CORRUPTING THE MORALS OF OUR YOUTH.

Windows 8.1 update not shown after factory reset

I had the windows 8.1 update shown on my app store but due to some problems i factory reset the laptop. when i opened it after the restore i was unable to find the update on my store. Rather it shows 96 apps to be updated

If you want to install Windows 8.1 Update 1, there are two requirements:
•Windows 8.1 is a prerequisite (vs Windows 8 RTM)
•KB2919442 is a pre-requisite update - released in March 2014 – you'll need this before 2919355 will be recognized

Where is the download for updating acrobat pro from 9.0 to 9.5.5

I've got a new computer and installed CS4 (I know, and old old version). Default Acrobat Pro installed is 9.0. On my old PC, the version is 9.5.5. I can't seem to find the udpate that would move me from 9.0 to 9.5.5. Any ideas?

Java update 6 causing constant permission errors

I was looking for a little more experienced thoughts about the numerous persistent permission errors caused by the last java update for apple's software update. I've read forum articles that says it's OK to ignore them. And the Apple Support KB page that list the dozens of errors that can be safely ignored. But it just doesn't feel right. I'm tempted to revert to a pre java update backup version of the OS, that repair permissions gave a clean bill of health to it's screen. My question is; By not updating java Do I have more risk than by running with all the constant errors caused this update in file permissions? In trying to learn more about java I found among other things these snippets from Boutell.Com
However, most people do not have Java applications on their computers these days, and most websites useFlash instead of Java for the interactive features that used to be commonly written in Java.

Removing Java on MacOS X is not recommended as Apple has made Java a standard part of the operating system and may rely on it to a greater degree than a typical Windows system.
What you should NOT do

Just wondering what others thought about this. And just how useful is java these days? Is it true Java has been dropped from OS 10.7? Hopefully, Flash is on the way out too.

I don't see those errors, but Disk Utility cannot fix anything related to symbolic links, so all I can recommend is to ignore them. Your other option is to reinstall the OS and then run Software Update, after making a bootable backup/clone.
