I am working for an upgrade project from 4.6C to ECC 6.0. I need some clarifications regarding use of SPDD.
im intend to clear certain database before proceed with SPDD using new z program, can i execute this z program before SPDD completed? please kindly help.

Hi Ritu,
For MI applications , we have to do application component developments in both ABAP and Java.
In general MI Application = Java Component + ABAP component.
Java component means , which is running on the client device , we are accessing the MI applicatiion throught the Java component .
For running this Java components , we need proper runtimes.
Currently we have JSP Runtime and AWT Runtime .
JSP Runtime supports JSP applications and , AWT Runtime supports AWT applications.
If u have basic knowledge for application developments in JSP and AWT , then no problem with Java component development.(there is no need to know in detail about J2ME and XML).Basic knowledge of XML is necesssary for Client side application development.
Refer these helps for Client Side application development.

Was my ipad actived before I had used ?

I have just bought a ipad today. But the estimated expiration date of warranty is 6-Aug. Was my ipad actived before I had used ?

If the estimated expiration date is August 6, 2015, no it hasn't been activated before. It does say "estimated" doesn't it?

Bug: "Move to" in email application doesn't work if activated before message fully loads

I've hit this many times when going through email. If you click on a message in the email application, then go to "Move to folder" in the top-left menu before the message finishes loading, the list of folders in the move dialog will be completely blank. The only way to get it to work is to wait until after the message loads or to navigate back and then do it again after letting the message load.
I hit this a lot for my Gmail account as I use this feature a lot to archive and categorize mails that I don't need to read the contents of to Gmail labels.
Known bug? Going to be fixed?

RuleFrame and BR's that should be handled the PRE or before triggers.

When a business rule must be handled before INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE of an record, it looks to me like it cannot be implemented using a CAPI.
For example the following BR:
'When value of column is NULL use default value retrieved from other column.'
Do I have to defer from CAPI implementation and use TAPI to implemented this BR in PRE-TRIGGER? Or is there a better way that fits more in the CAPI structure??

From the CDM Standards & Guidelines Library, volume 2, chapter 7:
"However some change event rules should be implemented using the derivation expression mechanism given in Oracle Designer. This mechanism should be used when a value within the inserted or updated record must be derived or calculated as before the data is written to the database. [...] If more complex derivations are required, you will probably choose to create a derivation function as part of the Custom API, and then call this function in the derivation expression. Note that you must then set the
derivation expression type to Function Call."
For default values you may be able to use the Default Value property of a column (can also be a CAPI function call). However, it will only be applied if that column was not included in the insert call to the TAPI. Otherwise, you will have to use the Derivation Expression, and in the CAPI function you will then have to make sure that it is not executed during update, for example:

Transport Management: Syntax Pre-Check before Importing

Hello experts,
Today we imported a new transport in the productive system; after import we got syntax errors in the system. The transported report includes a function call; this function module does not yet exist in the productive system; other transport including the function module was not yet imported in the productive system.
Using SE09 we can determine conflicts in different transports, however it is not possible to determine missing objects called from other objects (such as calling of function module).
Is there any possibility to do a syntax pre-check (or type of simulation) of objects in target system before importing the object?

Before releasing the transport we do all checks, such as syntax-check, consistency and for inactive objects.
This is not the issue; what I need is a check against the target system (Productive system).
Development system --> Quality system --> Productive system.
Before importing the transport I will check, if there any object called in my report/program, that is not yet existing in the productive system.

Waiting for Pre+ fixes before buying

I finally got the approval from my company to get the Pre+ on Verizon (switching from ATT). My company employs 66,000 people so the approval process on new devices takes some time especially if you want to use EAS.
Now that the time is here, I find myself waiting for a few critical issues to get addressed before retiring my trusty 680.
1. Double keys being entered - one big reason for not getting the iPhone is lack of a keyboard. Have an unreliable keyboard seems even worse. I hope 1.4.1 addresses this problem
2. GPS not locking or not accurate - I use Telenav multiple times per week. I believe that I can port the Sprint image to the Pre+, but all the problems reported about GPS locking make me worried.
Lastly, the AT&T pitch about being able to talk and surf the web at the same time has some appeal. I am on ATT now. A Pre+ on ATT would be an easier migration since I just swap the SIM. The GPS application problem would be addressed too since ATT supports Telenav. Now if I just knew how long "in the coming months" was!
The thought of StyleTap on the iPhone with HotSync coming soon makes my head hurt since I could then use Datebk6.
Any advice?

Can you change the type of iphone that you pre-ordered before launch day??

I pre-ordered the 16GB Black iphone for pick up at my local Apple store and think i should have ordered the 32gb instead. Was curious if anyone has called to change their phone type from 16gb to 32 or 32gb to 16gb. Thought I would check here before calling them and bugging them.

Transferred activation, before replacing Failing Disk,

we had to use a tombstone backup to prevent corruption from propogating to new Disk
the problem is the only good backup image available had an activated install of both AA2 and AA3
the last time I had to do that was on another system
and I was presented with a "repair activation" window
now on this system I get a full activation window for both AA2 and AA3 which doesn't function on either
normally when I change a disk
I transfer the activations first
then take the image and restore to the new disk the unactivated product
this normally works
but we had no choice in this matter as the disk was just about fried
would uninstalling and reinstalling allow the activations to proceed?

a full restore to the same disk gives no change in activation status

rather gives the following
"activation information is invalid"
(which occurs when launching previously installed product recovered from backup image)
then after uninstall re-install sequence
"yer 30 days is up"
and the following dialog is presented when attempting activation in either case of new HDD

Terminator - Prompt if a process is active before closing window

HI. As the title says: I want to get a prompt in Terminator (a terminal emulator) if I accidentally try to close its window while a process is active inside it. Eg.: If I have vim open inside terminator, and I carelessly press the window manager's close button, I want a prompt asking for confirmation.
Now there was a sane default by which it automatically showed such a prompt, but I (quite stupidly) told it to never prompt me again. Later I wanted it back. But I couldn't find where or how I could change that preference. I have tried going through its "Preferences" gui and also searched its default config file:
~/.config/terminator/config
but I have had no luck. I have also checked DConf Editor by searching for 'term', 'terminal' and 'terminator'. Again no luck.
I was hoping someone here could tell me how I could fix it. Currently I have resorted to running a screen session, so that I don't lose my work. But I hope I can get that prompt back.

It's possible to obtain this prompt when trying to close multiple tabs / terminals / windows. I've made some modifications to my /usr/share/terminator/terminatorlib/container.py based on the Launchpad version. The construct_confirm_close function makes it possible:

Issue with calling a method activity before page render

As illustrated, I defined a default method activity (binding to a method in managed bean) and a view activity activity in a bounded task flow.
When I launch the application (running the view activity), following error is encountered -

Credit Card activated before receiving it?

Out of curiosity I just called Banana Republic to ask if my new credit card had already been sent out to me because I kept receiving a message asking if I wanted to activate my new card. I thought that was strange and wanted some clarification if maybe it had got lost in the mail or other. The rep told me the card had to just been sent out on the eighth of this month and it would take the estimated 7-10 business days but then she said "It looks as though your card has already been activated" That definitely made me go "Customer service rep say what ?" She could clearly sense my uneasiness with this news and told me maybe I activated it on-line already. I don't recall doing it so I kept telling her so and asked if that's a occurrence that happens? She said no and that made me even more uneasy. To end this story she unactivated the card and told me to just reactivate it when I get it at home. I just wanted to know if anybody has ever had that happen to them ? I will be watching my account for the next few days just to make sure there is no funny business.

It's great to hear that you are either considering or have already applied and been approved for a My Best Buy credit card! It is my understanding that you would have one opportunity immediately after being approved for the credit card online to use it. Outside of this browser session, I believe you would need to wait for the arrival of the physical card. Sadly, this means if you apply and are approved in store, you would not be able to use the card online until you receive it.
