Hi!
We are still investigating this topic. If you still have issues, you could consider to reset your phone to factory settings (and taking a backup before to not lose your personal content).
What would be helpful for us would also be to know, what other applications you have running on your phone.
Thanks in advance!

  • Applications not opening after Yosemite

I downloaded Yosemite about a week and a half ago and I've had nothing but trouble. My adobe applications like Indesign and Dreamweaver will not open, but in the rare instance that they do, they crash about 20 min into working in them. Mail and iTunes won't open saying that there is an error. When trying to change permissions, it says that I do not have access when I am the admin. As of now the only web browser I can use is Safari and even that will crash and not respond. I can't even open the App Store to get the latest update.
    Any help?

I have this same issue   I have installed CleanMyMac but after the problem started.

  • Apple applications not opening after Messenger update

Opening Messenger last night, a box popped up saying that there was a new version to be installed. Alongside this were ticked boxes for 'security' and another application (which I can't remember now).
I went ahead with this, but since restarting the computer I've been unable to operate my Apple applications such as Safari, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD. Finder and Preview also won't open. When clicked they all just bounce then don't open.
I can still open Explorer which I never normally use and Messenger and the Dashboard. iTunes opens but then doesn't play tracks.
I realise that I may have to reinstall software however I don't want to lose my files in iPhoto though spotlight shows me that they are still there (though they will not open in larger format) and I also wanted to try reassure myself this wasn't me being hacked either!
Have tried to trouble shoot this with manuals but as Preview won't open it's making this impossible. Be really grateful for any advice.
Am a bit new to all this though I suppose the upside is that I now realise what great Apple resources and forums there are out there!
    Thanks, Joe
    iMac 1.8 GHz G5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Hi,
think it's gone beyond that now.
rang apple support and went through the install process (as per last night) but when got to install section of the process, the achive and install option is greyed out and the only option appears to be to erase and install.
as i have photo files that i don't want to lose (my itunes are on my ipod and luckily i backed up my word files) I need to back up data by target disk mode before going ahead.
the applecare man was very sorry that he couldn't help me as i didn't have a second mac handy for this option! am going to have to find a support shop instead now.
i rang again and another guy said that they weren't meant to help non care people, but advised to open in safe mode by holding down shift key but when i did this i got through to a grey screen which started by reading:
'No debugger configured - dumping debug information' before a whole scree of code and ending with 'Panic: We are hanging here...'
All in all doesn't look good. so I'll have to go into the shop. brilliant.
    thanks for your help though,

  • Software applications not opening after 10.4.4

Hi, since my upgrade to 10.4.4, some applications will not open, especially, but not limited to, Adobe applications. I've repaired permissions using Disk Utility and have run Disk Warrior to repair my hard drive. All native Mac programs are working fine as well as Classic and it's apps. Does anyone have a similar issue or insight as to what might be the problem?

Thanks for your reply. I have reinstalled the 10.4.4 combo package but this did not correct my problem. I still cannot open many applications. I have tried everything that I know to do and I'm getting quite frustrated. 10.4.4 has been nothing but trouble for me. What sub program is responsible for opening an application when it's icon is clicked on? The icons will bounce once when clicked upon but then do not launch the applications - nothing happens. Can I go back to 10.4.3 without creating new issues? Another interesting thing occurred - I downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.05 to my hardrive and when I click on the app - again nothing happens. Please help!!!!

  • Adobe CS6 Applications not opening after installation via AAMEE

I setup AAMEE with the desired CS6 apps, disabled updates, installed the AAMEE package on the master image then deployed it out to several Mac labs. Most of the clients are fine but on some, when I try to open Photoshop or Illustrator, etc., the icon appears in the dock along with the Adobe Application Manager icon. Both icons appear and disappear simultaniously, and theres no way to force quit anything. Does anyone know how to fix this? Please help, the labs need to be CS6 ready by this Friday..
Here is the error log I get, and it keeps repeating:
"1/9/13 10:51:49.290 PM PDApp: CFURLCreateWithString was passed this invalid URL string: '/System/Library/Frameworks/' (a file system path instead of an URL string). The URL created will not work with most file URL functions. CFURLCreateWithFileSystemPath or CFURLCreateWithFileSystemPathRelativeToBase should be used instead."
    Thanks!

    Yep.
Having the same problems here too. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason for this either. First, this was happening only on a couple of my Macs, now it seems to be affecting over 50% of them on campus.
I am wondering if there was a bug in a recent Adobe CS6 update that I may have pushed out when using RUM.
Adobe. I need help and quick. We are due an Ofsted inspection soon and this does not look good at all.

  • Applications not opening after choosing "update all" in itunes

    Hi,
    Bug :
I downloaded "Speedtest.net Mobile Speed Test" by Ookla, and recently noticed that there was an update for this application in itunes. When I went to itunes and chose "update all", the application updated. However after the update I was unable to open ANY third party applications (but was still able to open native applications which initially came with iphone). When i clicked on any of the third party application icons, the screen just blinked.
I deleted one of the third party applications and reinstalled it. After that only this third party application (out of the universe of third party application on my phone) would now work. Then I proceeded to delete Speedtest and reinstall it via itunes. After this ALL third party applications would work, without requiring individual reinstallations.

You ran a defective third-party "utility" such as "CleanMyMac" or "MacCleanse" that purports to "clean up" "junk" files. What it really does is to corrupt the operating system and many applications.
The first thing you need to do is remove that software according to the developer's instructions. Never install it, or anything like it, again. Then see below. If you use any iWork applications, you may need to delete them and redownload them from the App Store.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.10 ("Yosemite"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.

  • ITunes & QuickTime will install but not open after Windows XP laptop crash

Alright, this may be a repeat question from a long time ago, but I don't have the time to dig through 1,000+ posts so I'll just put it out there. Here's the situation:
*Backed up my entire hard drive including iTunes 8.1 and library to external drive using Roxio Back Up My PC (BUMP) creating a large .QIC file
*Two days later, entire computer crashes - says can't load from BOOT.INI upon start-up
*I re-install Windows XP service pack 2 operating system, install driver update and recovery disc, go through Windows Update and upgrade to service pack 3, etc.
*Do a system recovery from External Drive using same Roxio program, instead of a full restore, it duplicates the files I re-installed and maxes out my C:\ drive.
*Try everything I can to troubleshoot the problems on my own, defragment, disc clean-up, registry cleaner using RegCure, use Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, use File Duplicate Finder to wipe the dupes created by the restore, run Symantec Antivirus 2007 scan just in case, etc...
*Anyways, NOW getting to the iTunes related part: after the system restore, newest upgrade of iTunes 8.1 and Quicktime both don't work at all, they are installed in the same location in Program Files where they originally were housed, but when I click to open, it sends a standard Internet Explorer type error message, prompting either to debug, send troubleshoot message, etc.
*Finally, I un-install iTunes, re-install, same deal. The curious thing: practically all other programs work just fine, incl Windows Media Player, MS Office, all restored and in operational condition. Why the exception with anything Apple related?
Any advice would be MUCH appreciated considering I have 300+ gigs of music. Thank you in advance!!

Can you attach a screenshot or link to the instructions you are following?
You are on the 3.6 release and Firefox 7.0.1 is out. You can download and install the latest release from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ if you would like to update now. The 3.6 version will be maintained for a while longer, but you should update when you can.

  • HT2693 My Pages App will not open after I recently updated it. I'm afraid to lose all my docs if I delete the App and re-install.

My Pages App will not open after I recently updated it. I'm afraid to lose all my docs if I delete the App and re-install.

First of all - you are running the proper iOS in order to use the latest version of Pages - correct? You need iOS 6 now.
If so ....See if this helps. Maybe Pages will open after you try this.
Quit the Pages app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or ..... Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that didn't help backup and send your files into iTunes with file sharing.
You could lose all of your files if you delete and reinstall the app. That is precisely why you should backup your iPad and send your files into iTunes using files sharing on the iPad. Do you backup or use file sharing?

how to recover hp pre-installed games and office after system restore for HP Mini 210-4127se?

    Hi,
You can reinstall them from Recovery Manager by clicking on Start=> All Programs.
If you have performed a complete HP Recovery using F11 then all the software should be there. If you have performed a minimized recovery then you can install applications from recovery manager...If none of these works then you'll need USB recovery..
Here are the links that will guide you through the process:
Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 7)
Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 7)
    Order USB Recovery
    Note:
If you have HP Support Assistant installed on the computer(The Blue Question Mark) then open it ==> Complete all pending Updates & Tuneups==> Restart and Check. It may solve your problem
