Does anyone know of a good place to find free EXS instruments or other pre-made logic channel strips, instruments, etc.?

Logic Channel Strip Instruments no longer open after Logic 8 upgrade

I upgraded Logic 8.0 to 8.0.1 and now none of the preset Logic Channel strip instruments will open. I can open all of the instruments on their own no problem. But if I select something from one of their saved presets or an instrument that I've saved, it does nothing, just hangs. There's no beach ball or logic not responding. When you do force quit, it quits logic and then upon a restart of the system, the system just freezes too. This is really frustrating because I've save a lot of my own instruments and can't get to them now. This happen in a previous session and a new session started from scratch with the upgrade. I can access all of my saved audio channel strips. Has anyone encountered this? One more bit of frustration and impediment to my work flow. Thanks, Jeff.

I've also trouble with that Channel Strips. I've saved and closed a Song with some Mastering-Plugs in the Output 1-2 ( also Stereo Sum ) and after I reloaded that song, there wasn't no Plug anymore. So all my work was gone and I am also very frustrated.
The next big Problem is working with folders. I've in most of my songs folder of MIDI and Singers and when I am working with this songs on Logic 8, I got many failure in the view of waveforms and regions.
Sometimes regions doesn't play anymore when I switched between folders in the song. That nervs me up the whole time ...
Maybe someone can help or can tell me that's why we get ProKit 4.5

in the project folder. This can be located on a local system, although by default

structure is understood by WLS 7.0 so by archiving the appropriate folder you
can transfer the Web Service in its entirety from one deployment to another.

Where is the web.xml file in Tomcat 5.5

hi folks,
i made a small appl in Tomcat 5.5 named "Name". I made a WEB-INF folder inside the Name folder (which obv is inside the webapps folder), which inside had the classes and lib folder. After running the application where do i look for the web.xml file controlling my appl?

well, the web.xml file must be done for you. Its specific to your project, you wont find in on other folders of tomcat.

How can I delete the "share" bar (facebook, twitter, etc.) from the web page I'm looking at?

A "share" bar comes up and blocks part of the information I'm viewing. I don't care to share anything on facebook, twitter, pinterest, etc. How can I stop this share bar from appearing? One suggestion was to go to Tools, Options, Content, and uncheck Enable Javascript.
I don't have a javascript box. Then what?

Although these tools may be created using scripting, turning it off probably would break half of the web. So this setting has been hidden from easy changing. (It's still there if you really need it, but...)
Does this problem occur nonstop on all sites, or only on particular sites? If you see it all the time, it might be a feature of one of your add-ons. As a quick test to rule out your extensions as the cause, could you try visiting the same sites in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)

Specifically, if you check the option titled Public Website, it will provide a link in the email sent to those you share it with that they can click to view the photos online.
Then in the sidebar you can also see the link.

Can I convert a book made in iPhoto to a quicktime movie for the web?

Please help, I have a great book that I have made in iPhoto and had printed but would like to post it to my mac website for people to be able to view with all the photos, titles, and audio. Is this possible?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. There are two ways you can do that.
While in the book mode, do a Print to PDF in the Print window but select the Send PDF to iPhoto option. This will start an Automator process that converts each page to a jpg file and imports it into a user determined album in iPhoto. NOTE: when the process is complete and it's time for you to name or select an album a window will be presented. BUT if often stays behind the other windows and you'll think the process has failed. So make sure you can hide the other windows if it doesn't present itself to you. It took me several tries before I realized what was happening.
Once the pages are in iPHoto as separate files, you can try:
1 - put them in an album and add to an iWeb photo page where they can be viewed individually or as a slideshow.
2 - create a slideshow in iPHoto, export to Quicktime and post that QT movie file to an iWeb page.
3 - create an iDVD project, add a slideshow and import the stills into iDVD to create a slideshow with music. A great gift to go along with a book. This method is explained in Tutorial #6.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Where is the web root directory in Database 10g Express Edition and APEX

I'm developing a mod_plsql application with database express edition and the APEX version that comes with.
It works fine for developing mod_plsql applications(http://localhost:8080/apex/mypackages), but I could not find the different web directories to put my static html documents, css, gifs etc.
I could also not find a way to configure the webserver.
There's no apache installed.
Can somebody help me.

Where are the Web Galleries????

I must be missing something here.. I can publish a web gallery fine from within iPhoto, but doesn't it put the index page and gallery page into iWeb somewhere? I have a link to a gallery, but it has no relation to my iWeb website. This can't be how it was designed... why would people create a website in iWeb and then have to email someone a link to a random web gallery rather than viewing it from within their own website?
I could see that I could potentially just put the link to the gallery index page on my iWeb site somewhere, but there must be a more intuitive way. What am I doing wrong?

If I drag a .Mac Web Gallery from the Media folder to the My Albums page iWeb generates a statis page based on the images in the gallery, rather than linking to the actual .Mac Web Gallery.
If I choose Web Widgets -> .Mac Gallery then I get an image that does link to the .Mac Web Gallery, but I can't find a way to format the image so that it looks like an album in iWeb (i.e. put a frame around it, make it stop rotating images and just use the key photo set in iPhoto for that gallery).
