Pre-order cancellation

I pre-ordered an album that is slated for release next week and I was wondering will I be refunded upon cancellation? I purchased the pre-order January 4th and cancelled the order January 24th, but the item had already been charged to my credit card.

Never mind! Mine fixed its self when i went back into itunes.

  • Reward Certificates And Pre Order Cancel

    Hello. I previously pre ordered Evolve using a 10 dollar reward certificate. I hardly cancel pre orders so this has never happened to me. I was wondering if I canceled it would I lose the 10 dollar reward certifcate? I pre ordered it awhile back so I'm sure it's expired. I plan on ordering another game right away with it and the money I had down on the pre order. I've completely lost interest in Evolve. After seeing the all the future dlc costs I don't care much about this game anymore.

    While the $10 certificate you applied to your Evolve pre-order may have expired, the point value ($10 = 500 points) should repost to your My Best Buy™ account 3 to 6 business days after you cancel the pre-order.  The certificate would have been considered fulfilled when it was applied to the pre-order, so the expiration date should not come into play.
    If for some reason you do not see 500 points repost to your account after 6 business days or if you placed the pre-order on BestBuy.com and want help cancelling it, then please feel free to send me a private message and I will see what I can do to help.  You can send a private message by clicking on the blue button in my signature labeled "Private Message."

  • My pre-order cancellation isn't working!!

    I recently pre ordered an album on itunes but then changed my mind and want to cancel it. I went into my account and went into 'manage my pre orders' and cancelled it that way. However, i then searched the album and it told me that it was still pre ordered. I do not want it any more and I don't want to have to pay for it when it is released. I have also tried signing out and then back in, and also turning my lap top on and off again. HELP!!!

    Is there a cancelation fee on pre-ordering games online? I know I am not charged for the game until I pick it up in store, so I know I don't have to worry about doing a return. Just a curiousity question. Thanks!

    I pre-order my games from BestBuy as I purchased the Gamer's Unlocked Membership. BestBuy convinced me to sign up for their BestBuy Mastercard. I was qualified to enroll and was directed on how to change my previous VISA purchases to the MASTERCARD purchase for the pre-order. Now I come online to check on the status and go pick up one of the pre-orders and BestBuy canceled ALL OF MY ORDERS.
    I lost my pre-order bonus for The Last of Us PS4 edition. What the hell??

    I'm not much of a gamer, but as I do place pre-orders for other items, I can imagine being equally as frustrated if this had happened to me multiple times. I apologize for any inconvenience this process may have caused you.
    Orders can sometimes cancel if we are unable to verify some pieces of your information.   • Random 4s Pre-order Cancellation

    This may be long and a borderline rant (it is), but i'd like to know if anyone else has come accross a similar problem and what they did.. anyways ill give the entire story of our troubles from ordering to re-ordering in a timeline type perspective (the times may not be correct, just trying to show how the events unfolded)
    October 8th:
    12 PM: access website to pre-order
    12:20:  arrive at confirmation screen  for 3 iphone 4s (16gb white, 16gb black, 64 gb black) and multiple accessories
    12:25 : after reviewing our items 1 last time, the website did not apply any discount to accessories as it said it would
    12:45: called verizon wirless after re-doing the order to see if that would work.. customer services determines that the discounts on accessories isn't registerying
    1:00: In order for the discounts to go through, the order must be done over the phone
    1:20: In order to compensate for our troubles, the clerk must do the transaction in 2 seperate orders to give us an even better discount on the accessories
    1:30: we receive two confirmation emails, one for accessories, one for the phones
    1:40: terms and conditions accepted (extra step for purchases over the phone)
    Later that week around October 11th or 12th:
    Accessories received
    Today (October 17th):
    8am: "Your iphone 4s pre-order has been cancelled" There is NO  reason in the email for its cancellation
    8:40am: it has been determined that noone can figure out why the order has been can cancelled, the only solution is to re-order the iphone 4s.
    8:45am: clerk states that the 16gb models are sold out everywhere around me
    9:00am: phones have been re-ordered and delivery is pushed from a tentative date of oct 21st, to oct 28th.
    9:10am: NO comepensation has been given to us
    This is rediculous and I am furious.
    My family spends quite a fortune on Verizon products between FIOS (cable,phone,internet), 4g network cards, 3 verizon wirelss smartphones, and 3g on the ipad when my parents travel.. to be shafted like this is insane...
    The least they could do is bump us up to keep us at the october 21st delivery date.
    Not only did we almost get scammed out of discounts from a faulty website but now they straight up cancelled our order with no reasoning. We have been able to determine that it deffinately has nothing to do with the credit card and is straight up due to Verizon's system but they stated there is no reason and we simply had to re-order it.
    I am also skeptical as to if the phone is actually sold out in my area and will be making calls.  I feel like she said this to score herself some commission.
    Has anyone else encountered a similar problem with their pre-order and is now forced to wait a whole extra week?

    I received the same email this morning and was furious. No explanation for the cancellation given in the email so I called customer service. I too had attempted to pre-order my iphone 4s 16gb online on the 8th but also could not complete the transaction online and was forced to complete it over the phone. The CSR told me about an accessories bundle that over the course of our conversation I decided I did want to purchase it but was then was told that they were sold out. Nevertheless, I still purchased the iphone, listened to the terms and conditions recording and then gave consent, confirmed the sale, and received the confirmation email stating deivery by 10/21/2011.
    Fast forward to today. I called CS and spoke to rep and told her about my email. She checked my account and said that I hadn't consented to the terms and conditions within the 4-5 day time period one has to do that and so the order was automatically cancelled. I told her that I had in fact consented over the phone to the sales person when I ordered the phone. She apologized and said that for some reason it did not get put into the system and so she would have to put the order back through with a new shipment date of 10/28/2011. I said that that was unacceptable as I would be without a phone and was counting on the 10/21 arrival and I had given consent- I relayed to her the automated recording I had to lilsten to and she said, "oh, so you got that far through the process?" to which I responded, "yes, I made it through the whole process, gave consent, agreed to insurance, paid and got confirmation." She put me on hold- came back on and said that she would contact one of my local stores to get me a phone, I told her that they sold out but she still put me on hold and tried and of course found out that they don't have any anywhere around me in my state.
    She then told me that she spoke with their Internet Services and was told that there was a glitch in their system and 60 million customers orders appeared to be canceled, but weren't really even though emails went out stating that they were. She said that I should receive an email later today stating that the order is going through as originally scheduled. I asked why she had said that it had been canceled because I had supposedly not consented to the terms and conditions and she said that that was part of the glitch. I don't know what to think personally- but I am not happy and really won't believe this until I see my phone arrive on the 21st. Has anyone else received this email??

    1. Choose Store > View My Appie ID, then click Manage Pre-orders, which located in the Settings section at the bottom of the Account Information screen in iTunes on your computer.
    2. From the Mange Pre-orders screen, click the Cancel button to the right of the pre-order item you would like to cancel. You'll be asked to confirm your pre-order cancellation.

  • Pre-Orders always last?!?

    Im currently waiting on the delivery of an iPad. I have to ask, why oh why do Apple deal with pre-orders last?
    I had to wait on my pre-ordered iMac, and I waited as there was a shortage of parts on the i7's. But why wait on the iPad? I seriously thought that like other companies it would be a case of getting the pre-orders out for the day of release. As of writing this it is the 1st of June, with delivery expected on the 7th. They were released here on the 28th of last month. If I had of known that pre-orders were dealt with last then I would have just bought one in store.
    Can anyone shed any light on why Apple deals with pre-orders last?

    I guess it depends on what model of iPad you pre-ordered (assuming the 16 & 32 gig models being the most popular) had you ordered the 64GB the production run may contain fewer number.
    You also have to bear in mind that the iPad was launched in 9 countries simultaneously so available stco would have to be distributed between all 9 countries (again assuming each country iPad was launched in, like here in the UK, were accepting pre-orders, they too would have to be allocated stock on a first come first served basis.
    The demand for iPad is huge. I was lucky to get one on launch day from my local Apple Store.
    I guess you could check your nearest Apple Store for stock, if they have the model you pre-ordered, cancel your pre-order and go into the store and buy it.
    I'm sure Apple will get it to you as soon as they can (although I do not work for nor speak for Apple)

    I recently pre-ordered an album that I no longer want.  I canceled the pre-order but my current balance on my account hasn't changed.  I spent $17 on the album, and want to know if there is any way that I can get that back.

    if you purchase a itunes gift card you will not be able get your money back. unless if it has never been used, such as enetering the bar code then you can probably take it in to the original store where you bought it from with the receipt. 

  • Can't purchase a song from an Album that I cancelled the pre-order for?

    Ok, so here's the deal, I bought a £15 voucher and made some purchases, the first of which was the pre-order of an Album that was released today (Sunday 24th). I didn't know however, that the cost of the purchase was deducted from your balance once you actually downloaded the album, and I've spent my credit to the point where I'm pennies of being able to pay for the pre-order of the Album. I decided however, to hit cancel pre-order and simply just download the songs that I could afford, then download the wrest at a later date. However, the album that I've cancelled my pre-order for, still displays as 'Purchased'? I was able to download one song for pre-ordering the album, but that was a deduction of 99p, the price of a single song. I'm curious why I cant't purchase the wrest of the album individually, am I tied to the pre-order because I downloaded a song that was advertised as 'Early Access', or do I now have to pay the full cost of the Album because I've surpassed the deadline to cancel the pre-order (if there is such a thing).
    Some one please help me
    P.S. I've only been using iTunes for less than a week, so I'm pretty much a noob.

    Delete the problem track from the iTunes library, allowing iTunes to move the track file to the Trash. Then download the track again from the iTunes Store via this procedure:

    and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

    So i pre ordered the Linkin Park album The Hunting Party, and when I did it, two songs were automatically downloaded to my library, but then more songs were released and they didn't download to my library even though they were already available. I did some digging up on the internet and someone told me that an email was sent to my email adrees noticing me that the song from the album I preordered was already available and ready to download to my library, but once I entered my email there was no mail that said that, so I  cancelled the pre order thinking that if i preorder it again I would get the songs, but to my surprise the money I spent on the album was not given back to me even though i cancelled the Pre Order. Is there a way to get it back or am I screwed? Alos if there is a way can somebody tell me please?

    Do they show as purchased in the store and do they show on your account's purchase history ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.
