Pre-order link Crashed????
It seems that the pre-order link for the iPhone 4 has crashed!
Apple Online Store (pre-order started at 4:00AM ET on 06/15/2010)...attempted to order 2 black iPhone 4 (32gb) individually for family plan to ship to my house and it kept giving me local store pickup option.
so I ordered via my AT&T Premier (business) account for 2 black iPhone 4 (32gb) - two separate credit card transaction - and the process took less than 10 minutes.
Pre-orders for iPhone 4 will begin to arrive on June 24, 2010. Orders will be shipped on a first-come, first-served basis. The date of actual shipment and receipt of your order is not guaranteed and may be subject to delays.
iPhone 4 will ship within 3 to 5 business days regardless of the selected shipping method.

I'm reading all these discussions and my head is exploding. I was up @ 4am yesterday banging away like you all.
My criteria was this; I was eligible for upgrade @ $199 with the activation fee waived (sweet). I wanted to pick the phone up at my Apple store because I trust it more then brown.
When I clicked the pre-order link, there was NO option to have it sent to the store, it could only be sent to my house. Let me repeat that, NO option to send anywhere but house. It even says it "Pre-order your iPhone 4 from the Apple Online Store and we’ll ship it free — directly to your door and ready to use."
So I went to the reserve in store process. There was NO WAY TO PAY for it up front. Let me repeat that; NO WAY TO PAY for the reserved phone. So I received my confirmation email and said there is a phone waiting for me on the 24th!
I called 2 Apple stores and chatted online with 3 Apple support people and they ALL, every single 1 of them, said the same exact thing. The only way to pickup in the store is to go through the reservation process. The store will have 2 lines, reserved and general. The reserved will be there all day for you to pick up.
So, does anyone have some proof that you pre-ordered it, paid for it and have it sent to your Apple store, not your home to pick up?timmayb wrote:

This time for this phone things are very confusing. I preordered yesterday for in store pickup got through the verification process saw that all my data and cell plan info were correct. Then at the end I got the message "see you at the store". Bring picture id. Nothing else, no confirming email as of today, nothing showing under my account in the on line store. I just came from the store that I picked for my phone to go to and there is nothing in their system either. So I went down to the AT&T store in that mall and preordered it there, no issues. It's just as well since I'm ordering it under my wife's number to get the discount and would have to go there any way to make the switch. I've read other posts from people that saw the same thing on line that I did when they ordered, "see you at the store" but no other confirmation. I'm going to assume that it means the order did not go through. So keep that in mind if you got what I did. -
I pre ordered a album and got songs then it came out so itunes sent me a confirmation and it said to go to available downloads and gave link so I did and it did nothing for me and when I went to the album I wanted it said it was purchased so how do I get my music and don't even see available downloads in the iTunes Store

I pre-ordered an album and it says it was purchased in my itunes but it hasn't downloaded yet and I never got an email giving me a link to download it. Is there a way to get the link resent in an email?

Check in your iTunes folder on your computer to find the files. If they are there, then drag on top of iTunes to import them in. If they are not there, then report the issue to the iTunes Store.

Anyone have their iPhone 5 pre-order shipping confirmation and working tracking link yet?
For anyone pre-ordering an iPhone 5, please post when you have a UPS/Fedex shipping tracking link that actually works and indicates that your iPhone 5 is in transit and whether or not it is scheduled to be delivered on Friday the 21st to coincide with when the iPhone 5 will be available in stores. And did you pre-order through the Apple store or through one of the carriers, e.g. Verizon or AT&T? And did you pre-order early on Friday the 14th or are you hours or days back in the pre-order queue?
Wahoo! Just finished up my pre-order on Verizon's site. (Apple site still displaying "We'll be back" page as of 3:18 AM EST). Definitely says 9/21 DELIVERY, not SHIPPING ...

Hi. I pre ordered an album from iTunes using my iPhone 4S. Once released I received an email with a download link. I followed the link from the email which took me to iTunes Store. There I found the album & all tracks shown as purchased but with no apparent way of downloading. When I check for items to download, it isn't there. When I check purchased items purchased, it isn't there either. It only appears when I tap the album cover from the front page & then only as purchased.

Check your Music app to see if it already downloaded. You can also check iTunes on your computer to Check for a available downloads. If you are still not able to get it, then report the issue to iTunes.

Hi I got an email from itunes saying that my pre order was ready and when I click on the link from my ipad it takes me to the itunes store app and then it doesn't do anything help with this please .
<Link Edited By Host>Thanks for your advice, I went to the apple shop today for a face to face meeting with a tech and he checked everything and could not figure out why I was having this problem so we decided to give up on that account and create a whole new one for me using a different email address.
Now I can download apps on both my iPhone and ipad2.
If anyone is reading this in Brisbane Australia go to the Chermside apple shop and ask for Wade. He was fantastic!

You aren't charged when you pre-order an item, you are only charged when it's released and you download it - at any point up until them you could cancel the pre-order, so you are only charged on downloading.

You can always pre-order your new iPhone online and then start the mail in rebate by following this link: http://bit.ly/GGnDDC Or you can always go into the store location and do it all in store on the 19th when the phone is launched. Not sure what is going on here. I pre-ordered an album. One of the songs was available for instant download so I have that in my library now. I received an email saying that the rest of the album is available for download. When I go into my purchased songs as instructed, it only shows 2 other songs from that album. Not sure what I need to do.

Where to Pre-Order iPhone 5? Apple or Verizon? Verizon Plan?
Hi, so I plan to pre-order the iPhone 5 tomorrow morning, but I'm not sure where I should do this. I have Verizon, so should I preorder on their website, or Apple's (assuming the website is up and running)? I plan to do this around 6:30 am Central time, so about 4 hours in. Is this soon enough? I'd like to make sure I get it on the 21st.
Also, I'm part of a family plan that we've had on verizon. We have two iPhone 4's both with unlimited because we were allowed to keep it on those phones after they removed unlimited option. The other two phones in the plan are basic phones, and the iPhone 5 will only be replacing one of the basic phones right now. So will it make us change the plan right then and there during preorder from verizon or something? And when we do have to change to a share everything plan, is 6 gb data er month enough for 2 moderate/slightly-heavy data users, one moderate/low data user, and one non-data using basic phone?

At the aforementioned time you point your browser to http://www.apple.com/store click the links on the store that are representative of the iPhone 5, choose your carrier, enter the requested information and follow the pages. Just like placing an order on most any e-commerce site.

I pre-ordered Midnight Memories last week and it came out today. When I go to the album on iTunes it says purchased, but when I go to my Music it doesn't show up. I got the email that told me to click the link to download it, so I did and it isn't working. What should I do?
Same thing happened to me. Go to iTunes, then at the bottom of the page click on the account link, sign in to the account that you bought the music from then a box will pop up that asks if you want to download the album.
(I did this from my laptop, not my iPhone.)
