Pre-Order single won't sort correctly once album downloads

I pre-ordered Ryan Adams "Easy Tiger" and got the single "Two" immediately downloaded. When I downloaded the rest of the album today, it did not re-download the single with the rest of the album. When I tried to fix the sorting issue by changing the info fields (album name, track number of X, etc) nothing worked. Itunes and my Ipod still put this song at the end of my album. This drives me nuts. Any help?

I'm having the exact same problem with the exact same album - Ryan Adams / Easy Tiger, and the single Two.
I have noticed that the album tracks are marked Explicit, while the single is not, but that's the only difference I can see.
Like jtrieb I've tried changing the album name and fixing the track number to be 2 of 12 to fit in with the rest, as well as sorting by track number and then album, to no avail. It insists on remaining at the bottom of the list.
Note that I'm not using iTunes for Windows (found this thread via search), but iTunes for Mac OS X.

I have pre ordered a song but now I can't download it.

I pre ordered ' The Tea Street Band - Push The Feeling On EP' when the band first put it up for pre order.
Last night the band made the download avaiable for download, as I attempted to do that it would'nt let me download it, suggesting I had to buy it again.
I am very disapointed with apple in this situation, I know £2.49 is not a lot of money but they should make sure this does not mean, me or other people in the same situation have to pay for a download again.

Free Pre-Order Singles not included on the Album once released

Hi there,
I've had the following issue on a few albums I've purchased after already having the single. Most recently is P!nk's new album 'The Truth About Love' offered a free single of 'Blow Me (Once Last Kiss)' if you pre-ordered it. When the full album was released it skips giving the single and show's it like it's not even part of the album. This is easily fixable in iTunes however I use Match and the Cloud for my music on my devices and it still shows like it's only a single and not part of the album essencially discluding it from a continuous playback of the album the way the artist intended. I believe this is in the system as a way not to aquire duplicates but I would prefer it the other way round since having a duplicate is better than having an 'incomplete' album according to my phone and other devices even though I have the song in it's single format.
Apple please fix. In the mean time is there a way to fix this in the Cloud/Match? Thank you.

I had the exact same issue this week for a Pre-order album as well. I would recommend canceling the Pre-order and download it again as you mentioned it has not been charged. This article will walk you though the process.

Gwen Stefani Pre-Order single automatic download not working

Gwen Stefani Pre-Order offers to download a single track now and then the rest later when the album is released.
Ordered the pre-order but the track didnt download.
Now on my THIRD reply to try and get apple support to understand what is happening, so far I have a one track credit and told to download the song...only problem...its a pre-order you cannot download the song.
Why do apple employ people in iTunes support that dont know how iTunes works?
Why am I on my THIRD reply to explain the same problem?
Why am I wasting my time?
Exaspirated at having to fight apple these days, maybe i'll go back to microsoft, it all seems to be much of a muchness at times!
As you can tell this latest problem is only the tip of the iceberg in recent months and its beginning to wear me down.

Support appear to have gone into a huddle and promised me a reply once they sort it out.
Guess we arent the only ones to complain.
Maybe as this is the international version someone lazily copied the US version of the page and didnt notice that bit of text with the promise and therefore it was never setup in the UK store or elsewhere?

Editable DataGrid won't sort correctly

This is the weirdest behavior I've ever seen...
I am working on a datagrid (editable="true"), and for some reason the thing does not want to sort correctly. It is a basic datagrid with itemrenderers for each column so that we can edit in the grid. Sorting should happen on a header-click, but if you click the header, it seems to simply select the first row, or another random row, and doesn't sort. It does fire the "itemEditEnd" event. However, if you click anywhere but the header, drag the mouse to header and then let go, (mouseUp on the header), then it sorts perfectly fine (and doesn't fire that event). If I take the "editable=true" off the datagrid, it sorts fine on header-clicks, but then the datagrid won't save.
Does anyone have any ideas? There isn't any custom behavior on the header, though I could add some if it would help. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing seems to help.

I have noticed in the livedocs under, "Working with item renderers" (currently as I type this post the livedocs is unavailable, so I am able to give you a URL) there is a Datagrid that functions incorrectly when the user clicks on header columns. I am not sure why they haven't fixed this yet, but is this similar to what you are experiencing? I believe on the same page, they mention about the differences with creationComplete and dataChange. Are you listening to any of those events? creationComplete is rarely used in an itemrenderer. dataChange is used more often which I have noticed that a conditional statement is needed to prevent strange behavior (perhaps the same as you mentioned).

Pre ordered music won't download

I preordered candice glover's album a while back and it said when a single from the album is released it will automatically download to my phone. A new single was released yesterday but it hasn't downloaded, what can I do?

Songs from albums I pre-ordered aren't contained in the full album, Why?

I've pre-ordered or pre-purchased music singles for albums that later were released. When the pre-order was available or I purchased the entire album the singles that I had initially purchased are not included in the album and I can't get them to appear in the album.
I called support and they had me delete the album and then re-download it but same issue, it wouldn't download the pre-ordered songs. Now it even shows them as Purchased but provides no options to download them.
Very frustrated and they weren't much help. Maybe someone here can...

The example below shows the Lorde album that I purchased. It is missing songs #1 and #3 which are contained in the singles of other albums.

I have the exact same problem. I guess iTunes wants us to edit the pre-album singles info to make them appear in the albums but it's stupid. Some singles are even re-edited or re-mixed for the album versions, they're not even the same songs.

Pre-orders Charged to Creditcard but not able to download

I have had a pre-order that was available yesterday. Apparently I am not able to download because Itunes is telling that the Itunes store is currently not available, please try again later. Normal downloads are working fine!

I had the same problem with my season pass to The Office. I sent an e-mail to Apple's ITS customer support group, and eventually received credit for the purchase. It took several e-mails back and forth, and they had to change my password in order to get into my account, but they did admit to having a problem on their end. Podcasts won't sort correctly

For some reason, my This American Life Podcast is now showing up as KQED Writer's Block podcast.
I've rewritten every single tag, including the ones in the sort field, so I can't imagine why this is happening.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas to fix it?
I had this problem in iTunes 8 as well as iTunes 9.

Alternatively you can use the "Check for Available Downloads" feature in iTunes on your computer by choosing Store > Check for Available Downloads to begin downloading your pre-order.
That "Alternatively" step usually does the trick for most folks, but if your issue persists, you can try the steps in this article:

I pre-ordered One Direction's new album Four, and have received all of the available songs except one, which was the first to be released other than "Steal my Girl", titled "ready to run". It states that I have pre-ordered the song, but will not show up in purchased, even though I know it is available from looking at the album not signed into my account. When I sign in, it just states it was pre-ordered but has no options for download. How can I download it?
