Pre-Ordered, employee failed to place my order, didn't get phone.

On the 14th, I gave BB Mobile $50 and got the gift card, but the employee who set me up failed to actually PLACE the order for my phone. She admitted this when I showed up on the 21st, and her manager explained that everyone who had pre-ordered showed up to pick up their phone on the 21st except for three people.
They placed my order (as they were supposed to on the 14th) and said I might get a phone IF the three remaining people who hadn't yet picked up their phones failed to do so by COB on Sunday the 23rd (today).
I'm tired of taking "There's nothing we can do about it, sorry," as an answer when I did what I was supposed to do a week before release. I even asked them if that was all there was to it. It seemed pretty simply and easy to me and I was sure there was something missing in the process.
Now it looks like I'm part of the group of people who, according to most recent news, will have to wait until October 21st or later to receive phones.
It's not a bait and switch. They're not 'calling it a preorder when it's something else' like I see other people on the forums claiming. The receipt I got even says "prerorder, physical reservation," and specifies 32G Black as I requested.
The store is in Melbourne, Florida, on New Haven. Anyone else had this happen to them?

It appears, at least for the Melboune store I frequent (or used to frequent), that the "not even getting the shipments" problem has not happened to them for all AT&T phones. Word I'm getting is that Sprint and Verizon have failed to meet their agreement with Best Buy to have their phones to them by release. This is admittedly between Best Buy and Sprint/Verizon as to how they'll deal with each other in the future. Understandibly, as far as any Sprint or Verizon customer's concerned, this is Best Buy's screwup. From a busines standpoint, it kind of IS. Best Buy trusted Sprint and Verizon, and they got screwed, and now they have to eat crow and anger customers who happen to go with Sprint and Verizon.
I seem to be the SOLE AT&T customer at the Melbourne store that is angry, and it's only because this new minimum-wage chick at the store messed up (even though she had a non-new person behind her telling her what to do the whole time), so the most I can hope for is that they'll get a shipment in on Monday that has my phone in it.
I keep telling myself, it's a want, not a need, it's just a phone, but darn it... I was really looking forward to having the 5. I have a 4 (never got the 4S) that I've had since the day it came out, and though it's served me often and faithfully, I was really looking forward to that 5!

Non Pre-Orders can't get phones till 29th now!!!!!!!!!!!

You might as well throw your sleeping bag and Coleman stove back into the attic, as AT&T as just announced that due to incredibly strong demand, it will not have any iPhone 4 units for sale in stores until June 29th. Anyone who pre-ordered for in-store pick up or home delivery will get their device on launch date provided they ordered before that infamous cut-off.

I'm just mad because I tried to pre-order online the day it was released. But because of their system crashing and a known error on their web site (I called and they confirmed both that day) I got screwed on my pre-order.

I'm in the same situation. I was up trying to get on the Verizon page at 11:55, kept getting the ECPD error. When finally got through, the Silver Iphone Plus 64 showed arrival of 9-19. At every step of the process, it seemed that I was ordering a phone that would arrive on day1. At no point did it say this was an estimate. At no point did it say it might change. In a big yellow box, it said "9-19". Ordered it, then got confirmation email stating it should arrive at 9-19. Seems like all should be good, right? Order site said 9-19, I've got a confirmation email saying 9-19, done and done.
Then I check the website, and suddenly it changed to 10-14?!?!?!? I feel like this was a bait and switch. I was able to pickup an iphone5 in a local store on launch day, and would not have locked myself into a preorder through Verizon if I had known this would happen!
So, that leads back to the original questions. Lets assume I walk into a Verizon store on 9-19, and there is an available iphone6 plus just sitting there, can I either get that phone as fulfillment of my pre-order. Or, cancel my pre-order and buy that phone right then and there?

ATT pre-order and still no phone

i pre-order on the 15th at 11:00am est order got cancel on 20th at 1am est i reordered on the 23rd at 10:00am est, i just got of the phone and i was told
"all the 2nd wave of phones are going out on the 29th every one should have a tracking number by then, that IS be for Every onE that order through ATT they are shipping out the rest of the pre-orders because they are trying to clean there back log,"

My pre-order didn't show up and I enabled automatic downloads after I bought it.

My pre ordered song didn't show up in my library. Apple told me to enable automatic downloads, i did and it is still not showing. I've tryed downloads from the purchased page but there is no button saying download.

Make sure you're using the iPhone sync cable (older iPod cables will not work for sync, only to charge for example)
Try quitting iTunes, unplug your iPhone from your computer, reboot your machine, do not open iTunes, (with your iPhone awake) plug in your iPhone via the USB sync cable, iTunes should open with your iPhone as an accessory.
Sometimes things glitch :P

After your pre-order, when will the phone ship?

So i'm looking to pre-order on the 3rd (like everyone else is, it seems lol), and I had a question: if we pre-order on the 3rd, when will it ship? Same Day? And if so, does that mean we should be looking to receive it on Saturday the 5th (if we choose 2 day fed ex)? Or will we receive it on Monday the 7th, or even later? I only ask because I know it has to be signed for, and I'd like to have it shipped to my work, but if it's going to arrive on a Saturday, I'd want to have it delivered to my house (since my office will be closed on Saturday).

In-Store Video Game Pre-order - Should I get email confirmation?

Yesterday I pre-ordered The Witcher 3 for XB1 in store, I have a gamers unlocked account that was used, the cashier said that I should have received an email confiormation of the purchase but I did not, was he incorrect?

It is regrettable to hear you may have run into a few hiccups at the store while picking up your copy of the game. With that said, it seems the store was able to address the various issues that arose to get you walking out the door with a copy of The Witcher 3.
Typically transactions take 15-20 days to post to one's My Best Buy membership, so it would be after this time frame that you should see the $10 bonus certificate for pre-ordering the game posted. If you should not see it after this time frame, please let us know so that we may take a closer look!

How has the pre-order process work for phones?

I have some questions pertaining to prior phone pre-order processes. I will be upgrading to the next iphone, whenever it launches. When I pre-order do I pay the full price for the phone, or do I just pay the upgrade price? Also, do most pre-ordered items arrive the day of launch, or do they ship day of launch?

What price you pay is completely dependent on whether you are eligible for a subsidised upgrade from your carrier.
Usually, most pre-ordered items are scheduled to be delivered on launch day.

Pre order concern. im getting paranoid

Hey guys. After all the crashes and stuff that happened today, i was somehow able to get through late at night. I obtained an order number and printed out my confirmation. However, im concerned that i have not recieved an email confirmation which is said to be recieved shortly after the transaction. The website is still down and i cannot track my order status. Is there a chance that my order did not go through? Im getting scarred lol

I was going to have mine sent to my office. AT&T requires that the phone ONLY be sent to the physical address they have on file. Also some credit card companies have this restriction. I know ordering from another company I had to call and get my credit card company to add my work address as an approved shipping address on my account. So it could be either or both of those.
You can do a pre authorization for them to leave it, but if you have had packages stolen probably not a good plan. I am on vacation that week, so I am cutting my days away by one so I can be home all day. I hate it, but I want my phone.

Should i cancel my pre-order and buy one at a store

I pre-ordered a red ipod touch 32gb 5th generation ipod on october 4th, people are saying that you can buy them in some stores. im wondering if i can get it at a store why would i pre-order it, the whole point of pre-ordering in the first place was to be able to get it first. what do you guys think? also do they come in red if you go to the store to buy it?

Pre-order is being axed...

My friend just got a call from bestbuy that his pre-orders for white one is no longer guaranteed and they are not sure when he will get it. He is very upset because most of other places are now even taking pre-orders for black ones. Basically, he was about to be screwed. He decided to get black one, but he is not very happy.
He ordered from different store and I ordered it from another, but what is going on with white ones...
I understand that apple is going to have low supplies, but canceling a reservation? that's cold. If I get this call, I would go crazy.

Essentially, all existing pre-orders for the white versions will still be fulfilled whenever the store receives the inventory from Apple. We do not know when that will be exactly. Any store system showing iPhone 4 inventory is only what we ordered. This does NOT mean that Apple will provide us with that many on launch day.

Why such a hassle to get our GTAV pre-order bonus money?

I know there have been a couple of threads about this and I know they have been locked but there is no reason to not have one open. Why is it that Best Buy didn't have cards with codes on them in the game's case nor immediately print a code on our receipt like Best Buy normally does? Why should the customer go through the hassle for a pre-order bonus when we already went through the hassle of coming to the store to place a pre-order just to get the bonus? It is an awful lot of hassle to ask of customers to make the first step of coming to the store to pre-order a game, which almost guarantees that our purchase is with Best Buy. Then after we pickup the game we have to jump through more hoops to get what we expected when we pre-ordered with Best Buy in the first place. It is like dealing with the hassle of a rebate but at least there you will get some sort of real money back. This is an issue that Best Buy should handle without the customers having to get involved.

BINGO!!!! This is exactally what I'm talking about. What's disappointing is having the Unlocked membership, but not wanting to take advantage of it because you feel like you are pulling teeth just to get a simple code, that again used to be in the box or on the receipt. If they are worried about people losing it, why not do both, email and print it. Problem solved. Again, they took 1 step forward but 3 YEARS worth of steps back. I hope this is at least addressed before Christmas, actually that bring up an interesting though. What will happen at Christmas. Will the code come with the Gift, or will the person buying the game have to give the cashier the e-mail address of the person receiving the game? Dinda ruins the surprise don't you think?

Sprint Note 4 pre-order disappointment... Rant and questions!

The only reason I still shop at best buy was because prior to my current experience their price matching couldn't be beat.
I understand that patience is a venture and I will receive my pre-order eventually, but I find that I feel like I am continously being told tomorrow. It's clear that there is a lack of communication to each branch about stock or pre-order fulfilment.
I am also irritated because I have a 30$ coupon from my rewards that is most likely going to expire before I even get my phone.
What I am looking for is a clear way to get a date of the arrival of my pre-order.
Being told I can come in when I get an email seems like a cop-out. I just want a clear answer so I know when to expect my item. Not to be scrolling through junk mail to see if maybe I am one of the lucky ones (heaven forbid you miss that email since they put a 24 hour restriction on you to pick it up.)
Also would love a straight forward answers.
Is best buy selling any note 4s outside of a pre-order?
If I am able to fulfill my pre-order at a different best buy then my original location?

Why should I ever come back?
I rather hear that the employees don't know, then be given false hope. All those things that can be price matched I can just buy from the competition at the lower price.

There’s quite a buzz around the new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (understandably so), and if it weren’t for the fact that I just got a new smartphone a few months ago, this would be one I’d be interested in too. From a personal perspective, waiting for new electronics can excruciating as I like to get my hands on my devices as soon as humanly possible. It’s understandable that you’d want to know when your phone is arriving, and I’m sorry for any frustration you’ve possibly endured while trying to figure this out.
Best Buy does make an effort to procure as much inventory as possible for new releases; however, sometimes the demand is higher than anticipated! If this happens, we realize that it can cause unintentional frustration and to avoid that, it sounds like you placed an online order for in store pickup. When an online order for store pickup is placed, we do ask that you wait for an email that confirms your purchase is available. I understand your eagerness to get your hands on your new Note 4 though, so I’m sure it’s disappointing to find that we didn’t have your order ready on release date.
While we do fulfill pre-orders based on the date on which we first receive them, each store has their own list of pre-orders to honor. For example, store A has 30 pre-orders and store B has 15. If both stores receive 20 phones on release date, store A will notify the first 20 people on their pre-order list that their phone is ready for pickup. Their 10 remaining pre-orders will then have to wait until a new shipment arrives. On the other hand, store B will notify their 15 customers that their phones are ready, and the five phones will be placed on the shelf for all to purchase.
Having said this, I understand why you’d want to know when your phone is due to arrive. We’d hate to give you an exact date should your shipment incur a delay, so as a way to avoid any potential disappoint with unintentional incorrect dates, we should be providing you an email once your phone is available for pick up. Once you receive this, you should have 48 hours to pick up your phone. I apologize for any frustration that this waiting may be causing.

Pre-order and iPhone

I preordered an album and when I clicked on the email link to download on my iPhone, it sent me to the main iTunes app. When I clicked on the album, it wanted to charge me full price. Is there a way to download a pre-ordered album to my phone, or do I have to wait until I get to my main iTunes computer?

My plan is to order it when it becomes available through the website. Is it better to do so at the store for some reason?
My main reasons at this point are I would like to have my phone replaces (gen 2) and I would like it on the release date if possible with as few hassles as possible.
