Pre-Ordering Music

I pre-ordered a album about two weeks ago and it came out early in America and I even got a email telling me about it and it says I still have to pay for it. Yet my friends went well. I'm very confused about this and I don't know what to do.

You've received the email saying that it's available for downloading ? Does it show in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone for downloading, or does the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option on your computer's iTunes find and download it ?

HT203174 cannot download pre-order music track

Today a message appeared when I started iTunes telling me a pre-order item was ready to download, but when I tried to download it a message said "this item is currently unavailable. Try later." When I use the 'Check for available downloads' option in the Store menu it says 'all items have been downloaded'. I only receive the 'Pre-order item available' message again if I shut down & re-open iTunes.

Problem solved itself after Windows Update, shut-down & restart. Not sure if this was a coincidence, but it solved the issue.

Downloading a pre-ordered item
When a pre-order item becomes available, you will receive an email letting you know your pre-order is available for download.
If you've enabled iTunes to automatically download prepurchased content, then your pre-order content may already be downloaded to your library. If not, simply click the download link provided within your email notification, and your pre-order content will begin to download. Alternatively you can use the "Check for Available Downloads" feature in iTunes on your computer by choosing Store > Check for Available Downloads to begin downloading your pre-order.

Pre ordered music won't download

I preordered candice glover's album a while back and it said when a single from the album is released it will automatically download to my phone. A new single was released yesterday but it hasn't downloaded, what can I do?

Tap Settings > iTunes app then tap More at the bottom of the display in the menu then tap Purchased.

Click "Manage your account"
When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
Click Password & Security
You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.

If an item isn't yet available, you may be able to pre-order it and download it when it becomes available. When the pre-order item becomes available, your account will be billed for the pre-order, and the item will appear in the Purchased section of your account. From the Manage Pre-Orders screen, click the Cancel button to the right of the pre-order you want to cancel. You'll be asked to confirm your pre-order cancellation.
Note: You can't manage pre-orders on iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.

Why can't I get my pre order to download on my iphone?

I downloaded some pre ordered music to my mac this morning but I cannot get the music to show up in my purchased items on my iphone so I can download it there also. I'm at work and cannot sync my phone with my work computer so I would like to redownload the music directly to my iphone. The account is the same so why can't I see the music in recent purchases? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have same problem....I get 'paused message not enough memory'. .deleted stuff have plenty of memory..still getting message. Searching for suggestion???

Pre-order items from the iTunes Store
If an item isn’t yet available, you may be able to pre-order and then download it when it becomes available.
Pre-order an item: Click the Pre-order button next to the item. When the item is available for download, you receive an email notice. You aren’t charged for the item until you download it.
Download a pre-ordered item: Click the link in the email notice or open iTunes and choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
View, cancel, or see the expected release dates for pending pre-orders: Choose Store > View My Apple ID, and click Manage Pre-orders.
When you pre-order an item, you may not be able to download it at the exact moment it becomes available for regular purchase. You’ll receive an email the same day it becomes available to let you know when you can download the item.
Some albums or collections you can pre-order include a song that’s available to download immediately. When you pre-order these items, the available song is downloaded and you’re charged only for that song. I pre ordered and album and an early release song was added to my music. However it says complete pre order and if i click that it says "Already Purchased". None of the other songs on the album will downloaded onto my music either. Help

I preo ordered the album "Lost Isles" by Oceans Ate Alaska and the first early realease song, "Floorboards" Was instantly downloaded into my music library. However, today, a new song was released early called "Blood Brothers". It hasn't been downloaded into my music library and will let me purchase it for 99p. The album also says next to it "Complete Pre Order" but if I click that it just says "Album already purchased". Please tell me how to get the album without having to individually buy each track when they are released, costing me at least another £7. :/

Pre-order Failure - Music not downloading.

I pre-ordered Lana Del Rey's new album Ultraviolence back in May and it was due for release today on 16th June in the UK. It turns out that when the release date had been reached the album didn't download and will not download. On my iTunes on my iPhone next to every song there is a sign that says purchased however the song has not downloaded as is unable to play. In my music library, there is the option to "complete" the album which will cost me a further £10.99. How do I get the music to actually download rather than having fades out "purchased" signs everywhere. It's extremely frustrating especially since it's a pre-order. (In the purchased area of iTunes it shows the album as being purchased)

Look under the Store menu in iTunes for the "Check for available downloads" command and select that. You may find the track there to be downloaded. If not, check the Purchases area of the iTunes Store and you may be able to download the missing tracks there:

In list view, select the album column. To choose which columns appear, select an item on the left side of the window (a playlist, for example), choose View > View Options, and select the information you want to see. You can also Control-click a column heading to select columns to display.
The column selected determines how tracks are displayed. For example, clicking the "Name" column displays all tracks in alphabetical order; clicking the "Album" column displays the tracks in album order; clicking the "Date Added" column displays the tracks in the order that they were imported into your library. Columns also have a disclosure arrow at the right of the column (when selected) that you can click to reverse the order.
