Register a new valid card with enough of a balance on it to be able to process the authorization or buy and register an iTunes gift card.

  • ITunes gift card and Pre-paid credit card in Canada

So I recently bought a 2Gen iTouch and wanted to buy some apps. I bought a iTunes gift card. I set up a iTunes account and went through all the proccess's and redeemed my gift card. It said successful and promted me with my account balance. I tried buying a app and was promted with enter credit card information. I don't have one. But i read the forums and found out that i cannot buy applications in canada, only music and videos.
So now i have non-refundable money on my account with the sole purpose of getting applications. Now my question is that if i get a Pre-paid credit card from anywhere will it work? or does it have to be an actual Master card/Visa?

"So there is no way to buy apps with the itunes card?"
    Not in Canada.

  • HT3702 Pre paid visa card issues

Okay so i used a pre paid visa card on itunes to buy music, i purchased the song and it charges the card and email me a reciept, then after awhile when i try to get a free app it says error has occured then i have to enter the card indo again and it still wont let me get free apps, and it says i owe yall like $5 right now, i had to go and buy a itunes gift card in order to remove the debt and get free apps, please solve this freaking problem, i should be able to get free apps they are FREE

As I understand it Pre-paid credit cards are not supported on iTunes. Something about that they do not always authorize correctly. I suggest that if you only have access to pre-paid credit cards and use them for other things other than the iTunes Store  that you use that card to purchase gift card so you are still technicaly using that credit card to make iTunes purchases in a way.

  • Refund my pre paid Visa card ?

I Tried to purchase an iPhone 5S using two pre paid Visa cards . It went through but the next morning I got an email saying that the order can't be shipped until my bank verifies the order... Considering it was pre paid Visa cards I assumed no banks were involved. I cancelled the order but money has not been refunded back to the two cards yet. It was 700$ and I need it refunded before I go home to Europe because you can't use US pre paid Visa cards there.

How long ago did you cancel the order ?
    From http://store.apple.com/us/help/payments#creditus :
To prevent any unnecessary delays processing your order, please ensure that the billing addresses on your order matches the information on your credit card account.
    When Apple charges your account
When you place an order, Apple will contact your credit or debit card's issuing bank to confirm it is a valid account. Apple requests an authorization, which holds the funds for the full or partial purchase amount. As Apple prepares your items, authorized funds will be unavailable and may display as "pending" on your credit or debit card's online statement.
If you are shipping an item, your card will only be charged after the item has shipped. For pickup items, you will be billed before your item is ready for pick up. If your order contains multiple items, you may see multiple charges on your credit or debit card statement.
If you cancel your order before your items are billed, any authorizations placed on your credit card account can take up to 30 days to expire and any authorizations placed on your debit card account can take up to 10 days to expire. Contact your financial institution for their specific timeframes.
Any gift card issued by a credit card company can be used as a method of payment on the Apple Online Store. During checkout, if you are paying with a gift card issued by a credit card company, you can combine it with one credit card.
That implies that you can't use prepaid cards for purchases. (And if had purchased an iPhone in the US then you won't get warranty coverage for it in Europe, if you had a problem with it then you would probably have had to return it to the US.)
If it's been longer than that then do you have a contact number on the receipt ? Or there are contact details on this page : http://store.apple.com/us/help/contact
(For info this forum is for questions about purchases from the iTunes store, not from the Apple online store.)

Please call us on 13 22 00 to arrange a replacement. Any credit on your Pre-Paid account will remain, but credit expiry periods will still be applicable. If your credit is about to expire, you can recharge your account to retain the credit balance until you receive your replacement SIM card.

  • Does the iPhone support pre-paid phone cards?

Just debating whether I get an iPhone to replace both my iPod Touch and my phone.
Does it support pre-paid calling cards like Bell's and the other phone companies?

The better question would be does the company you want to get pre-paid cards from support the iPhone.
For example, in the US, AT&T will not. You may be able to get it to work for voice, but as soon as they realize you have an iPhone, they will cut you off. I believe T-Mobile works fine, but you can't use T-Mobile's 3G network in the US as it's not compatible.
Check with the carrier(s) you want to use. Technically, an unlocked iPhone 4 will work on any compatible GSM network, though not all functions will work depending on the network provider.

  • LG Chocolate to Pre-Paid phone card

Ok, I have this LG Chocolate that an old friend gave to me. I was wondering if it was possible to take the phone to Verizon and get it to where I can use pre-paid phone cards on them. If so, how much would it cost.
    Thanks much.

You can open up a prepaid account with your own equipment. Here is a link provided for the prepaid website to view plans and prices.

  • I bought a pre-paid phone card . Why is this?

I bought a pre-paid phone card and my time was added but it was not added as my $45 unlimited plan and I bought the $45 phone card at the Target store by my house. I also bought $10 worth of extra bridge data with my credit card this month and it has not been added as well. Why is this? If this does not get figured out I am going to be switching to a different phone service provider.

        cutie0707,
I definitely understand needing to make sure this time is added correctly! That's very important. Our prepaid team are the only ones able to view prepaid accounts. They are available to help at 888-294-6804. They can make sure everything is set up correctly and you get everything you are supposed to!

  • Why can't you use a pre-paid credit card on your itunes account?

Wonder why an Apple person told me this would work??
Apple should read this stuff once in a while.
Some prepaid cards appear to act as credit cards to the merchant. If yours is one of them it should work, but debit cards are not accepted for the iTunes Store.
Can you use a pre-paid credit card from Wal-Mart?
Do you mean an iTunes Card, the kind sold at Wal-Mart? Sure, that will work.
"Pre-paid" and "credit" are mutually exclusive.
I believe this way of thinking about it ought to be valid: if you need a PIN code, the card won't work.
I don't use debit cards so I can't be certain if this will apply consistently, but let me know if that makes sense.

  • Can I use messaging in Europe even if I have a pre-paid SIM card?

I'm going to be in Spain in May and will buy a pre-paid SIM card with a local number.  As long as I have connection to the internet, via wifi or through the phone service there, will my friends and family be able to use my regular US number to text me?  Do I need to do anything to make this work before or after I get the pre-paid SIM card there?
I'd like this to be seamless for my friends and family to text me at the same number.

It makes sense, marklyn9063. If you are using a tablet overseas with WiFi, you will be able to access Verizon Messages without incurring roaming charges. However, in order to receive messages, you must have an active phone number.

  • HT3702 Is there any way to use a pre-paid Visa card with my iTunes account?

I just received a prepaid Visa card as a gift and tried to use this card as payment info on my iTunes account.  This didn't work, I suspect because there is no billing address associated with the card.  Is there any way to use the card like this?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
