Pre-Pay account Phones

Hi, I have a lg chocolate I've had for 3 years now and have about $250 built up on the pre-payed acct. the phone is now acting up and I have to get a new one. Is there a listing of pre-pay eligible phones I can use? Will any Verizon phone(i.e. A "Smart"phone) work? I really don't want to get a basic phone I would like to upgrade the devices features, not step backward.

You can go to the prepaid section of verizonwireless.com and see the currently available phones. If you want to use a smartphone, you can, but it will cost more than a contract account.
I believe you can transfer all the money and apply it to a regular account; the prepaid board and Minniehaha will likely have more answers for you.

    I bought a pre-paid phone from best buy and set it up for a pre-pay account and just realized that they never gave me my $10 of airtime.  I searched the box and can't find any code or instructions telling me how to receive it.
    Is this something i take up with verizon or best buy?  please let me know.

    The Ten dollar free airtime should have automatically been  there when you activated the account.  Call Customer Service at 1-888-294-6804 and ask about it.  Or go online and check you balance there to see if it has been added.

    i opted for a pre-pay account as a second line on my partners contract line as we've just moved to the US and have bad credit, but does anyone know how i can change the number? i went to AT&T and was told to change it via the port on the apple site??? can anyone help or shed any light on this??

  • Closure of BT Mobile Pre-Pay service on 21 March 2...

    I've just read the announcement of the Closure of the BT Mobile Pre-Pay service.
    Whilst I understand the reasons behind this, I do still keep my dongle with me for emergency use when there's no wifi available.
    My Pre-Pay account currently has £96.29 credit - which, according to the announcement, will not be refunded!
    There's no way that I'm going to use this credit to the service been closed on 21st March.  Can the credit be transferred to my main BT Bill?

    Sorry for the delay in providing some clarification on the question raised here.  I have spoken with team involved in the closure of prepay mobile to find out if there is any way to transfer or refund any remaining credit that you have left on your dongle, after the closure of the service. , I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the answer is no.
    Since we ended the sale of the BT Mobile Broadband Dongle on 27 September 2013, customers have been informed through messaging on their Mobile Pre-pay accounts on bt.com, the automated telephone service and Connection Manager that we are intending to close the Mobile pre-pay service on 21 March 2014. If a customer has any unspent credit after this date they will not be refunded.  We feel that this is sufficient notice for customers to spend any credit they have on the dongle.  I am very sorry that this has not been enough time for you to spend this credit but unfortunately if it is not used then it will be lost.

  • What About My Port Into Verizon Pre Pay?

    I activated a Moto X onto Verizon Prepay and then per CS agent I called in and asked for my old Page Plus number to be ported to this phone.  Verizon did give me a number when I activated it late last night.  They asked for my Page Plus account number, but not my pin number I have with Page Plus.  I am really worried about this port in happening.  I have many business contacts and want to keep my same number.  Now when I went and checked on the Verizon website port status they say they have not record of my port request.  What should I do?  Does anyone have any experience with porting into Verizon pre pay and specifically from Page Plus?  Thanks!

    wife has been with verizon since it began....verizon took over company she had service with.. ok now then..2 smartphones ..... 2yr agreement+1gb shared data plan 150.00 plus taxes.........now pre-pay =no agreement.....4gb EACH PHONE for $140.00..... what gives?  so in  a nut shell she must cancell her 20+ year account to have a pre pay plan that can be set up on auto pay? verizon had better get a clue. she is ready to go elsewhere if that indeed is the case. common if you can autopay your prepay why dont verizon just give her the pre-pay plan and let her keep existing account that is all set up and has been over 20yrs?  and they call it CUSTOMER SERVICE? WOW

    The lugs that hold the base onto the phone are not strong enough and the base often needs to be replaced. Give the base (the bit with the button on it) a tug to see whether it's broken.

  • Why do i get a busy signal when calling my pre paid flip phone?

    I recently activated a old pre paid flip phone and I added minutes with a refill card on my verizon wireless account online.  It shows the payment as well as the calls I made to it  but it never lets me get through to the person.  What is the glitch?????

We don't have access to prepaid accounts, but the number to call is 888-294-6804. Please make sure you select the correct option, but you must allow the prompts to finish before making a selection. If you don't, this may be why you're unable to get through.

    Wow! Purchasing a new computer and monitor should be a fun and exciting experience, and instead, it sounds like it’s turned into a complete nightmare. I can only imagine your disappointment when you found two charges relating to its purchase on your debit card account, and I’m sorry for any aggravation this caused. 
    As I want to provide you some piece of mind, I pulled up your order number using your email address attached to the forum. After review of its payment information, I found we collected only one payment.  However, when orders are first placed on BestBuy.com, a pending authorization should show up on your bank card to make sure funds are available for the order until it is fulfilled. From there, the authorization should drop off and the collection charge should appear.  This is the case for your one charge of $1,051.69.
    It also sounds like an error may have occurred when you initially attempted to place your order,  resulting in one of your gift cards not registering properly and the order not being completed.  Your card’s issuing bank doesn’t appear to have recognized this and pushed through the pending authorization. This occurred a second time when your account information didn’t quite match up with what we had on file. Please know that we haven’t ordered a collection of these funds and your issuing bank should release the two pending authorizations within 5 to 7 business days.

    AT&T does not permit the use of iPhones or any other smart-phones on pre-paid plans. You will have to pony up for a post paid plan that can be properly provisioned for an iPhone.

  • Just opened a new daily pay account yesterday. Both days I have had random numbers calling me.

    I think that verizon pay people to call these daily pay accounts just to try and get them to answer. Of course,that means an extra 1.99 per day that they get.Anyone else had this happen.     budone isn't a Verizon employee.  The Verizon employees who post on these forums are clearly marked with VZW badges next to their names and the title 'Wireless Employee" beneath their screenname.
    I also agree with his assessment of your situation.  Phone numbers are re-used, and prepaid numbers in particular are likely to be abandoned without notice given that many people seem to forget to refill their accounts.  If no one has your number yet, log in to MyVerizon or call *611 and ask to have your number changed.  They will do it for free if you explain that you are getting phone calls that are not intended for you.
    Verizon is not calling you just to make money off you.  If you want to avoid being charged for the calls, just don't answer your phone, and use another phone to check your voicemail if they leave one.

    The nano SIM should come with the phone if you set it up with a carrier.
    If you purchased an unlocked phone, you'll have to contact your carrier to get a nano sim card.

    Greetings all:  I've looked through the support communities and don't see this particular question.  I opened an iTunes account quite a few years ago and my daughter and I made purchases and shared home libraries and all was well.  However, as she's gotten older, her taste in music has changed and some of it is dreadful.   It keeps downloading (from the Cloud?) to my iPhone.   How can we separate her purchases from mine?  We have five devices authorized (her laptop, tablet and iPod and my iPhone and my laptop.)     On your iOS device:
    Settings > Music > turn Show ALl Music off
    This will hide purchases that are not locally on your device.
    In iTunes create a Playlist with just your music and sync only that playlist.

    An update here:
    It seems the company has been listening to what you requested...  Adobe has quietly begun offering a new direct pre-payment option for CC subscriptions.  This can be used to purchase 12-month plans for either individual or education memberships.  By paying annually in advance, students & teachers can now get an even larger discount.
    Also note that Amazon no longer sells the prepaid Creative Cloud key cards; they stopped carrying them late last year.  However, in addition to direct from Adobe, they can still be purchased elsewhere like at BestBuy.com.
