Pre Plus won't sync more than latest 3 months from Google Calendar. Need help.

[previously posted in WebOS Software section, but I now think that might have been the wrong place; only one reply; no answers]
I was a very happy owner of my new Pre Plus until I tried to sync my multi-year Google Calendar to my PP, when only the last three months of my GC data would sync to my PP.
Some higher level Palm techs and I spent quite a lot of time on the phone, trouble shooting and testing. Ulltimately, we were unable to solve the problem. The last tech I spoke with acknowledged that currently there are performance problems with the PP if a lot of GC data is downloaded. Apparently Palm has decided (for now) to prevent us new PP owners from choking our PP's performance by limiting our initial downloads to only the most recent three months of GC data. I was told that Palm is working on this problem and it probably would be fixed with the next update.
I've searched the forum and didn't see any other mention of this problem. Any one else experiencing this problem?
*** My questions: Can someone at Palm tell me (1) Is this is a problem that is being worked on by Palm/Verizon? (2) If so, should be fixed soon? (I only have about 10 days left in my 30 day trial of the PP at Verizon. If I can't have all of my GC data on my phone I will have to turn it back in before the trial period ends.) (3) Can you suggest some other trouble shooting I could try? (4) Can you suggest a workaround?
(I can provide a somewhat comprehensive list of the trouble shooting already tried and my Service Request Number, if needed.)

The time period for syncing calendar events is a setting.
Go into Settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Scroll down to you get to Calendars. Where it says Sync, you have an option to change how long you want to sync.
The Default is Events 1 Month Back, but you can choose All Events.

I have a new Palm Pre Plus - can I have more than one Google G-Mail Account on the phone?

I have a general G-Mail account and it has started getting too busy with advertisements etc. I'm thinking about changing to a different e-mail address but don't know what yet.
I have an old Palm Centro I used to Synch with my laptop. Now I need to do this with G-Mail. So I created a unique g-mail account that would only contain my calendar and contact information - i called it "palm.last name" - made sense to me.
When I try to add it to my Palm Pre Plus I am unable to sign in. I'm wondering if you are limited to the number of Gmail e-mail accounts you can have on the phone. If i can only have 1 then I don't want my e-mail to be "palm.last name" and give that out to people - that would not make sense to them.
I already have a Yahoo Account and I'm thinking about another Yahoo Account to keep some e-mails and instant messages separate from my personal Yahoo. If I cannot add more than 1 account, this is going to be a problem.

Hi, and welcome to the Palm Support Community.
You should be able to add your second Gmail account without any problem...I have two Gmail accounts on my Pre and have no difficulties.
When you say you are unable to "sign in", I assume you mean you are unable to sync the email and calendar on your new account? Double-checking your user name and password are the only things that come to mind.

ITunes won't sync more than one ringtone

I have a brand new iPhone 4.
Trying to manually sync some ringtones the iPhone shows only one of them in the custom ringtones in the settings menu.
I have the same ringtones with the same method of sync in another iPhone 3Gs.
Any idea what could cause this problem?

i have exactly the same problem with my iphone 4. if i create a new ringtone, it will synch temporarily. It gives me enough time to fool me into thinking i've managed to fix it and even allows me to assign the new tones to contacts. I can even synch several times without issue. But give it 24hours and good ole marimba is the default, and all but one ringtone remain.
If it makes any difference, these ringtones are self created using a CD i own and have ripped into itunes, then converted using the itunes method (resize to less than 30s, export to aac, then change the postfix to .m4r and reload).
Also worth noting is that they show up and can be played in the itunes>library>ringtones.
Any help would be oh so appreciated (before i pull any more hair out).

IPod won't sync more than 22songs

I have an iPod touch with sw her 2.1.1 and iTunes ver 8.my iPod used to sync fine,but after a recent motherboard change and subsequent windows vista reinstallation,after copying 22songs,iTunes hangs on my computer and iPod screen keeps showing "sync in progress"I tried leavin it connected for even hours but finally I have to cancel sync and close iTunes from windows task manager.I tried restoring the ipod and also reinstalling iTunes but it din't help.can some1 pls help me...

it appears as though the problem is with the podcasts themselves. When I tried to upload them directly into my ipod I get an error on a run of about 6 of them that say they're not compatible with my Gen 2 Ipod. Weird, but the lsat few from recent days are working like they are supposed to. I can only suspect that the load to itunes is in error. Too bad itunes doesn't give you the same error report as when you try to get the podcast direclty over Wifi using the ipod itself.

When I open Firefox, I get a message saying my INSTALLED version is more than a few months old, and I need to upgrade. But when I check for updates, there are none. I run v. 3.6.13 Mac, the latest version. Does it want me to install the beta v4 or what?

This message appeared in the last 2 weeks. I was traveling and using a variety of internet portals. But it's still appearing now that I'm home, so that probably is not a factor. I have Firefox set for auto download/install of updates.

Firefox 3.6.16 has a newer build and release date than Firefox 4.0 does.

Create a new user login (with a password) for your stuff.
This way, your data won't get mixed up.

Adobe Reader XI won't open more than one PDF

The latest Adobe Reader (11.0.02) won't open more than one PDF at a time. Seems to require continual re-install for each open. And each time I install, it says the application is already present on my machine, yet I cannot find it anywhere. Any suggestions out there?

Can not sync more than 420 songs

I am currently using an i phone 5 (64GB).
I have an issue where i tunes does not sync more than 420 songs from my compute (Window 8) to my i phone.

Battery won't recharge more than 14%

I have a Pismo G3 and when I recharge the battery, it won't recharge more than 14%. Also, I have to reset the date and time each time I turn the computer on. It was working perfectly for more than three months. Bought it recently.

Sometimes that is how they go south. You might try the conditioning thing once or twice as a last resort.
You might try OWC for a replacement battery. I just got a fresh one for the TiBook a couple of months ago which has about twice the actual capacity of the older ones. Can't Sync More Than 12 Songs!?

I just bought a brand new shuffle and I'm telling it to sync all my songs in a playlist (approx. 500 mb) and it only copies 12 songs... All the checkboxes are checked and I have no idea why it won't copy more than 12 songs (when I have about 100)...

Try this instead: Start iTunes, go to the Store menu and Deauthorize your computer. Now play one of the songs you purchased from the iTunes Store that won't sync. When prompted enter your Apple ID and password. Now try to sync them again.

TS4123 This is not correct solution. I have fresh copy of Windows 7 64 bit and I have the same problem. Autorun only shows the Bonjour service. It started when try to sync more than one iphone.

Autorun only shows the Apple Bonjour service. It started when try to sync more than one iphone over WiFi. I have two iphones and an iPad. I turned off syncing over WiFi and still has high CPU utilization. One of the CPU's is pegged at 100%. It is the AppleMobileDeviceService.exe process.

For the record, I then followed the suggestion of MarcDCMB in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4291206 of just manually restarting the Apple Mobile Device service in Windows services.msc once each time after starting iTunes and the service no longer hogs CPU after that service restart. Not too painful as a work-around, and apparently an effective one, but clearly not a solution to the problem. Again, as above, all the other solutions didn't work for me and I have no conflicting software as far as I can tell. So you'd have to say this Apple's problem.
Also FTR, I am still on the 5.2.0.6 version of the Apple Mobile Device Support MSI and I don't know if that is relevant to this work-around working but my sense is that it is NOT relevant. I'll report back on this thread if I re-upgrade and the problem returns in spite of the service-restart approach.

Just plug in the second iPhone like you did the first and tell it what to sync to and you'll be good to go (just make sure the second iPhone is named something different than the first!)
