Pre-rotated stills from psd: don't show as rotated in psd, rotated in pr

there must be a sensor on my camera (shot on my canon 5d) that tells photoshop which way is up, because, though they were shot vertical (sideways) as stills, photoshop automatically shows them oriented correctly. yet, when i import them into premiere (cs3) they show sideways. for some reason the rotate function is spotty and produces irregular results in premiere, so i'd like to rotate in psd (version cs3) pre-import... but they show vertical already in psd... if i rotate them, they still come out sideways. anyone ever encountered this issue? thanks

Many organizer-type programs, do NOT actually Rotate the stills, but just add instructions in the metadata to tell an image viewing/editing program, how to display the image.
To get the image to actually Rotate, one needs to Open the file in, say PS, then do a Save of the now corrected orientation.

Movies from iTunes don't show up on Apple TV

Everything else from my library does (music, photos, TV shows), but I can't get the movies from my library to show up on my Apple TV. Here's the kicker...when I go to the movie section in my library (from the Apple TV) all the posters are scrolling on the left, but only one or two of them are selectable from the menu on the right.

They weren't checked in the library. Duh.

Sent items from ipad don't show up in entuorage

I noticed that when I send mails from the ipad they would not show up afterwards in the sent items of entourage. At the same time once I use entourage all items from the inbox on my ipad disappear. Does anyone know what I need to do to get this work?

POP by definition doesn't "share" folders. Sent messages from one machine are invisible to another. Messages deleted on one machine are gone, period. IMAP, used by MobileMe and Gmail, may be better for your needs. I don't use Yahoo mail, but I'd be surprised if this weren't "working as intended" (by them, if not by you.)

Games from ipod don't show on iTunes?

I have a 5th Generation iPod nano and I bought one of the click wheel games (Reversi) over a year ago. I no longer have the game file on my computer anymore but the game still remains on my iPod. I want to delete the game but when I go to the Games tab in iTunes, it's not there. It just shows 0 games. Everything is updated and connected, but nothing. I'd really like to delete this game without having to restore my iPod to original factory settings.

Emails sent from iphone don't show up in sent folder.

For some reason any emails I send from my iphone don't go into my sent folder. It has become a pain. I sometimes use my phone to send business emails and I'm not always sure if they have even sent and don't have a record of them.
The emails I send from my computer are in the 'Sent' folder on my computer and my iphone. It's only the emails that I send from my iphone that aren't in my 'Sent' folder on the iphone or the computer.
Server settings are the same as on my computer. It's just like my iphone doesn't save the sent emails.

Ensure that the Camera app is closed on the device that took the photo. Photos will not upload from an iOS device to My Photo Stream until the Camera app is closed.

Audio Units from NI don`t show up

Hi, good morning and happy eastern from the norwegian mauntains. I`m new to this forum and hope to get som help. Tried to search the forum for solutions but didn´t find any.
Just installed my Komplete 3 package from Native Instruments und downloaded and installed all updates. Logic Pro8 can just recognize Reaktor 5 in the Audio units manager though I tried to validate.
I tried to reinstall in "custom setup" from the Komplete 5 DVD and chose audio units, but this didn´t help either. I´m also a owner of Cubase 4, -all my Native plugins work great there...
Any bright heads who can help??

Have you downloaded the latest version of Reaktor - it's 5.1.5 - this will be compatible with Leopard (also version 5.1.4 is working with Leopard).

My bookmark folders from FLOCK don't show up when adding a new bookmark and I can't organize my bookmarks like I could in FLOCK, why?

OS = W7 +64, Acer Aspire laptop.

If you open the Bookmarks Organizer (Library dialog) using Ctrl+Shift+b, can you find your folders anywhere?
If not, how did you import your Flock bookmarks into Firefox?
If you see them there but not in the Add Bookmark dialog, perhaps there is a problem with that dialog.

HT204150 Gmail contacts don't show up

Contacts from gmail don't show up on iCloud contacts or mail accounts or contacts on ipad. How do you set this up to make these sync?
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

How do you have your gmail account set up? If you want your contacts synced you have to set it up as an Exchange account. Google for the proper instructions.

Pictures don't show up in the movie

I'm doing my first project with iMovie. The pictures I added from iPhoto don't show up in the movie. Instead it says that the "original clip is missing".
I added them as it is explained in the guidelines...

Follow these steps to access your photos and videos:

Pb G4 1.67Ghz running OS 10.4, right side of the screen 2, pixel wide vertical lines, a few days later colors posterized on pics and vid. Vertical lines don't show screen capture, but pics still posterized. Hardware test from disk shows ok.

Right side of screen started showing 2, pixel wide vertical lines. A few day later colors in pics and vid posterized. Vertical lines don't show in screen capture but pics still bad. Ran hardware test from disk, ok, adjusted color in sys prefs, new profiles a bit better but still bad, mpeg worse, jpeg bad. No better in new user account. Now a month later, right side has 8 vert lines and occasionally a slightly darker area in bottom corners for a few seconds. Reset pram, battery plugged into adaptor 99%. I can notice, for a slit second, when the screen saver is on, when I move cursor to get back to desktop, true color of image can be seen for a flash of a second.

The entire DVD containing Quick Time movies (Final CutExpress project) and slideshow was done in iPhoto. The Final Cut project was rendered prior to export to QT, the slideshow was sent to iDVD withoutrendering. The slideshow with most of the pictures from my still camera incombination with stills from movie clips and some downloaded from the Internet.After burning, the movie playback is perfect but the slideshow is not. The slideshow containing 3 differentkinds of pictures; those from my still camera looks OK; the stills from themovie clips and from the Internet are not. I don’t have much knowledge in this game, but I think NTSCwith frame size 720x480, and the downloaded picture Item Property shows most ofthem are between 400 to 500 x 300 to 600, may be both of them are not suitablefor TV screen while the stills from my still camera looks OK because they are2048x1536. Changes to PSDs in LR4 don't show up in bridge or photoshop.

I just downloaded ACR 6.7, now tiff adjustments in LR4 (PV2012) show up in bridge and photoshop when I save the metadata to file in LR4, PSD adjustments in LR4 don't show up. I'm running CS5.

Peggy, your post fixed this problem for me.
My guess would be that the Pages folder in the Mobile Documents folder on your Mac is corrupt. That does seem to happen more with the Pages folder than the other folders in there. The Mobile Documents folder is on the first level of your user library. The user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list. Move the com~apple~Pages folder to your desktop & restart Pages. A new com~apple~Pages folder should be created with copies of the files from iCloud. If it doesn't repopulate, you can open the copies in the folder you moved to the desktop & again move them to iCloud by clicking on the document title.
Saving the files locally to your hard drive & then moving them to iCloud seems to have less problems with corruption of this folder.

I finally figured it out. I had the parental controls restricting videos on my son's ipod. Once I changed the restrictions, the videos appeared.

Fill out a customer service request, they will respond. I had a problem with my account and Apple was very helpful.

Still images don't show in source monitor

Hi,
Running CS5.5 on a Mac Pro, all updated, latest software. Using a Black Magic Decklink card for output.
My problem is I can't see any still images when I load them into the source monitor. They don't show up when I preview them from the media browser and they don't show up when I import them and load them into the source monitor... Just a black screen.
I can edit them to the timeline and when I double click on them they load into the source monitor! But they don't load normally from the project window.
They are jpegs, but I've tried with png as well...

They are way too big. One is maybe ok but several.
Make the dimension at least half the size, then they probably have no trouble showing up.

Imported bookmark folders from old putor don't show as download options

Went from xp to windows7 new putor,exported bookmarks from FF7 to FF7 on 64bit machine, now when I bookmark a site the folders don't show giving me the option of placing future bookmarks in them.

Do you have rolls activated in the View menu? Can you see the photos in the Last Rolls section of the Source pane?
Those blank windows are indication that iPhoto has lost it's link to the files. In your case both the thumbnails and originals. If the originals can't be located then the rebuild cannot create a new thumbnail. So it looks like you'll have to start with a fresh library and import the original file from your current library as follows:
Creating a new library while preserving the rolls from the original.
Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same rolls as the original library. However dates on the rolls may be different but can be edited as you would the roll title.
Once this is completed you can delete the Originals folder from the desktop and the iPhoto Llibrary folder. If desired, you can keep the older library folder to try other fixes on it.
There's one way to get rid of the auto-rotated modified files. Copy the Modified version of it to the Desktop. Then open the Originals folder and locate the same files in that folder's subfolders and replace with the rotated modified version. Now go back to iPhoto and do a revert to original for those files. iPHoto will delete the modified version leaving you with the "modified original" version.
