Pre: Weird cycle of email refreshes when swipe deleting many emails during a sync

I keep seeing this obviously buggy behavior. Has anyone else run into this?
In the Pre email application, I open up an email folder (not my Inbox, but a folder I've marked as a favorite) that gets about a hundred new messages per day. As soon as I do the new messages start flooding in as they are downloaded. During this I start swiping them away to delete the ones I know I don't care about from the subject.
After doing this a number of times in a single session (usually around 5), the email application gets into this weird cycle as I watch it where:
1) Emails that were already downloaded start disappearing from the bottom of the list
2) Then all of the emails in that folder disappear from the scree
3) All of the emails start re-appearing like they're being re-downloaded, with just the subject line, INCLUDING messages that I already swipe-deleted
4) Repeat over and over, sometimes up to 15 minutes depending on how many emails are in the folder and how many I deleted before it started going crazy
This whole time the email sync spinner is going and the number within it is continuously changing.
I may have seen this on GMail sync, but most notably it happens to me with my Exchange 2010 mail account. Note: I have my mail account set to download all mails within the last two weeks, if that matters.
Needless to say, this makes my Pre pretty much useless to me to go through any serious amount of discussion list email. Ideas/thoughts? Is there an official way to report a bug on this if it's not known?

That's what I've started doing, but that's not a very good solution for a couple reasons:
1) That solution is basically akin to just not using the Pre for managing email
2) This weird cycle thing happens to me even if I don't start deleting items on large folders too
This definitely seems like a bug that should be fixed by Palm.

How do i set up my mac, iPad and iPhone so that when i delete mail on one it syncs and deletes it from the others at the same time?

You need an IMAP-type email service rather than a POP-type mail service. IMAP automatically does what you want. Contact your email provider to see if they offer IMAP.

Here is how to do this:
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click Manual Setup
Click the Disks icon at the top of the AirPort Utility window
Click the Disks tab below the icons
Click Erase
The "Quick Erase" option will only take a moment or two
Now you can backup your MacBook Pro. If you connect an Ethernet cable from the MBP to one of the LAN <-> ports on the TC, the first backup will go 3-5 times faster than wireless.
Once you have the first backup done, you can use wireless for subsequent backups since they will only take a few minutes

Explorer doesn't refresh when moving/deleting

I recently started using W8 and at the moment when i change the name of a file or add a new file to a folder i have to manually refresh the folder in order to view the change. I have read about similar problems in W7 but the solutions dont seem to work.

I found a fix for my situation that had identical symptoms as yours. After tons of Googling and trying numerous suggestions and nearly resorting to a reinstall, I found my problem was SIMPLE! I had noticed that there were some times when I could change a
file/folder and it responded instantly, so I started to observe what was unique. I noticed if I browsed to folders in Windows File Explorer under "This PC", any changes/refreshes worked fine, but if I browsed to the same folders by going into
any folders pinned under "Favorites", they needed to be manually refreshed or revisited. It turns out the problem was the links in Favorites were broken. I copied my user profile in the past during the install of Windows 8 and so some of these links were referencing
the old "Start In" path on the shortcuts. SOLUTION FOR ME: Delete any custom links in Favorites, then browse to the folder in This PC and drag it back to Favorites to create a new, correct link. Works like magic now.

When I delete many movies, why is my hard drive not showing more space?

I have deleted many many movies, but my hard drive does not register any more space available. I delete my movies from Vuze, using the "delete from computer" button. Shouldn't that trash all copies? I am thinking there must be another copy somewhere for my available space to not change.
I would appreciate any help on this.

When I delete an email in my inbox on my iPad it disappears everywhere- it's not on my MacBookPro inbox nor trash, it's nowhere to be found-nor on my iPhone. I need to be able to delete inbox messages on my iPad when traveling but still see them in my inbox on my MacBookPro when I get to my office. How can I do this? The steps are pretty much the same as the gmail account used in the instructions, you may also be able to refresh the email folder list on the mac

HT4207 I have same problem. But my archive is off and was never on. I downloaded a bunch off apps and it changed. I can swipe delete, but there is no longer a delete button to hit after I read the email? Confused

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

I was having some weird issues like this until I deleted my email account and reset it up as IMAP instead of POP. It's worked beautifully since then.

Pre won't download email from one particular sender

This has not worked since I have purchased this phone with webOS 1.2.1.
Email sent from one particular email address will hit my POP server, show up in webmail, download to my mail client, but it never shows up on my Pre. Every other email that I receive shows comes in properly, except this one message.
Some of the troubleshooting I have attempted:
- Removing the account and adding it back to the Pre. Message will not show.
- Using webmail to forward the message to myself. The message does show
-Composed a new message with the same subject and body of the message and sent to myself. The message does show.
So it seems that it would be something with the sender, but if the Pre is just a POP client, then anything in the inbox should be pulled down.
Has anyone else experienced anything this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is another Email client open when this email comes into your webmail? If so the server will mark it as read and the Pre will not download it to the device. If I may ask where is this email coming from? ie hotmail.com, live.com, gmail.com. Please do not give me this persons full email address. I just want to see if we have other users with the same issue.

Just noticed that when I close my mail app by double clicking the home button and swiping up it dies something weird. After doing this when I open my mail, instead of showing all my mailboxes it automatically opens one of them instead. Anyone know why?

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information. Tableview getting refreshed when changing data in the rows

Hi Gurus,
Iu2019m doing a BSP with MVC. The requirement is as below.
In the main page there is a button u2018Create Orderu2019, to create a sales order, once I click this button, another screen (pop up) comes up and within that I have a Tableview display with the below fields with the data of 20 records.
Material no
Quantity
Delivery Date
Here user is allowed to choose the quantity and delivery date by selecting each row.(with MULTISELECT option in BSP)
The issue is after I select first row and change the quantity and date, and if I click on second row, the Tableview gets refreshed to enable the second row to be editable and the changes what I did on the first row are also refreshed.
So i want the Tableview not to be refreshed when selecting the multiple rows. So that I can keep the changes I make to the quantity and date fields Can you please suggest any method.

You need to capture the value entered by user in Quantity and date field and update the internal table with these values for the current selected row.
For ex.

Now the internal table lt_fields contains all the editable cell values , just update the internal table of your tableview with these values.

you can try to contact yahoo if this is the case with them

My provider is gmail through Rogers in Canada. I use Thunderbird. My iMac is set for imap. I am unable to find where it tells me what mu iPad is set for. I've checked settings: mail and can't find it.

Don't know which email host you are using, but if this is a POP account, you can't do it. If IMAP, then deleting one email should delete it on all other devices.
