Preallocation tock check

Our client want to have check on movement type 999 for preallocation stock.
I have checked wm movement type 999 for the preallocation.
I am confused on the how to create scenario to test this. Can you please explain how can I test this scenario.

Ok, now I got it, the German titel on that transaction is quite different to preallocated stock, and we are actually not using it at.
As you rightly said, LT51 is used if there is no stock for a material.
999 movement is used to move existing stock between bins.
This sounds pretty contradictory.
why would one maintain a preallocation if you have stock that could directly be used?
why was an existing preallocation not fulfilled when the receipt was done?
why would one ignore the preallocation with the receipt and do it uncertain events like a 999 movement.
The check can be activated to any movement and this check is carried out with the putaway into the destination bin

My main concern is getting a means script-wise to mimic the functionality of the batch I posted. The syncing has never been an problem for our engineers (that I know of). The batch is but a task we can only run on xp, so I wanted to be able to
try to migrate the task over to windows 7. If the task is outdated and unnecessary, as I told jrv, I'll suggest that it is to the sys admin. To me it is a scripting question, I'm a programmer at heart and look to find ways of automating tasks with
code. I'm new to Powershell and not experienced with system architecture design.

Again - there is no way to do what you are asking. w32tm is the only utility that matches time but you are not using it correctly. You are reporting the offset but not the delay. The only accurate way to test sync quality is by running a tape.
This is a function of w32tm. THe tape will show you the variance over time. The other way I have used is to set the time service to generate a log and scan the log.
Win32_UTCTime will tell you the time at remote servers but it cannot tell you the network delay.
If you are only interested in matching seconds then you can use it as well as the w32tm query that returns network time. These can be extracted and converted into time objects.
As an exercise to learn PowerShell this could be useful. Just capture the output of w32tm and parse it in PowerShell.

You desktop guys need to get out more often. Learn to use computers. They can be very helpful. Stop plating with hardware. Desktop support will be gone within a few years as we move to the cloud. Only application support will
remain. The classic PC and member server are pretty much obsolete.

Picking Preallocated Stock

Hi,
I have done the required configuration for preallocated stock and recieved them to my Issueing area (916) directly. For this I have maintained in LT51 entry for the material concerned.(The entry is not requirement specific and i have maintained my average consolidated days requirement)
Now, i would like to know the process whereby while picking for a delivery how to ensure that the system automatically picks from this bin in 916 area. Since the stock is already in 916 area ideally is should not be creating a new TO at all and just need to allocate the stock to the existing prealloacted stock in 916. Please help with the process to do so.

If you want the system should check only 916 storage type, then for the movement type activate the source storage type as 916. So in the system, whenever system is creating a TO for the movement type it will check only in the source storage type.

Tick tock noise before Mac boots up

Hi - had a really weird experience this morning on hitting the power button on my MacBook Pro. The screen went grey in the normal way but my Mac made a strange tick tock noise. Not hugely loud but it really sounded like a old fashioned clock. Eventually my Mac booted up and appears to be working normally but I am now worried that there is some thing wrong. Any insight into what might be wrong (or even if there is any thing to worry about)? Thanks, Tom

It sounds like it might be the HD making the noise, possibly with the heads parking/unparking, or possibly a fan being a little reluctant to get started on a holiday weekend.
In any case, I'd run Repair Disk just to check on the HD; also check S.M.A.R.T. status while you're there. Repair Disk: Boot from install disc (insert disc>restart>immediately hold down c key and keep holding it until you see “Preparing Installation”)>at first screen go to Installer Menu>open Disk Utility>select your HD in the panel on the left side>click Repair Disk at bottom of main window. Run this at least twice, and keep running it until it says “appears ok” twice in a row. If that doesn’t happen, you may need a stronger utility such as DiskWarrior or if the directory is damaged beyond repair, you may need to reinstall the OS, or you may have a damaged HD (repair utilities can only repair the directory structure, not the HD itself).

IF-statement in Personas that is checking if control is inactive?

I have this simple script in screen personas that is clicking the option: "Attachment list". Everything is working great if there is attachments.
If there are no attachments the option is "inactive" or "greyed out". This will result in a script error.
I thought this was going to be an easy fix by adding IF statement to the the script. But howerver I specify the critera for the IF statement the script will always try to click the Attachment list. The condition will simply always be TRUE.
Am I missing something here or is it not possible at this time to script an IF statement that is checking if the control is inactive or similar?

There is another way, but it will get a little tricky.
Outside of the transaction IE03 you can check for the existence of attachments for a piece of equipment by looking in table SRGBTBREL. Field TYPEID_A will be "EQUI" and field INSTID_A will be the equipment number, zero-padded on the left to 18 characters long. Use SE16 to look in the table and you'll get the idea.
You could wrap this test in an RFC-enabled ABAP function and call that from your Personas script button. Use the return value from that RFC to decide if attachments exist or not and how the script should respond. Details for how to write such an RFC and call it from a Personas script are in this blog: Calling RFCs from a Personas script.
Like I said, this isn't straightforward and perhaps Personas scripting should include an active/inactive test in addition to the exists/doesn't exist test. Until then, however, there is a way if you don't mind a bit of ABAP programming.

Checking null and not null values

We have a job schedule table that has a column for each day.
JOB_ID, TIME_ID, MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU
1 1 X
1 2 XSince the same job can be on different days and times, we need to check all the instances of
that job.
Sorry for the formatting - the X is an indicator; i.e. Wednesday and Saturday.
How can we solve this?

Check for null and empty - Arraylist

A null check might not be you best option. If your requirement is you must have both the date and time component supplied in order to populate EventDate, then I would use a Script Functoid that takes data and time as parameters.
In the C# method, first check if either is an empty string, if so return an empty string.
If not, TryParse the data, if successful, return a valid data string for EventDate. If not, error or return empty string, whichever satsifies the requirement.

Contact form check boxes will not work on a Tablet

I created a website (Desktop) and a mobile version (Phone). I did not create one for a tablet but have relied on the Desktop version if someone views it on a Tablet.
Here's the thing, I created a contact form with checkboxes. It works great on a desktop (because people check the boxes with their mouse), however, it doesn't work on a Tablet, when you try and check the boxes with your finger.

From your post it appears that you are using an earlier iPad, which can only update to iOS 5. Some developers do offer compatible versions of their apps for people running older iOS versions, but ultimately it is up to that developer to make an older version. Checkbox item: How to get all values checked?

The report query is simply

All the 4 columns have a column condition like
instr(':'||:P46_COLS||':',':ONE:') > 0to ensure that column is rendered only if the corresponding checkbox is checked.
The report has Dynamic column headings with the following PL/SQL function body
return 'ONE:TWO:THREE:FOUR';To my (pleasant) surprise, this works very nicely. When column TWO is conditionally not rendered, its corresponding column heading is also skipped with no effort on my part. Nice.
Question:
Instead of "hard-coding" that string ONE:TWO:THREE:FOUR in the 2 places I mentioned above (checkbox item source and report heading), is there a way to access the "all values checked" version of that LOV item so that it will dynamically pick up the latest LOV changes? The way I have done it currently, if I change the named LOV, I need to also change those 2 places where I have hardcoded the values.

I thought about that but the LOV has dozens of values, each with a verbose display value and a return value of the column name (upto 30 characters) and the display values are still being "worked on" by the users.
So, the "all columns" string would be a big, unweildy string that would be hard to edit.
It is much easier to edit, resequence and generally work with a Shared Component LOV defined as a Static LOV because you get that nice page (4000:4111) where you can read everything nicely formatted instead of a STATIC2:<big long string>!

I am having trouble with my MacBook Air 13 inch June 2012 MacBook Air5, 2 4GB RAM details below in Etresoft report. I recently upgraded to Yosemite and am having system trouble. My computer crashes and I have to force quit to restart. When using webmail there is a black screen for a split second between pages. This did not happen before. I am worried that it is not running properly and perhaps I need to revert to the previous operating system. I only have a MacBook Air and no need to share images between a tablet or phone so I did not need the new photo sharing software of Yosemite. I wonder if I don't have enough RAM to run it? I did not run time machine before I made the upgrade as I did not realise the significance of an upgrade as not very Mac literate. Any advice on whether my system is in danger... most appreciated! I am writing a book and making a back up but this machine is my lifeline and my work is conducted through it. It ran perfectly before... the Yosemite upgrade has perhaps highlighted some problems and it has unnerved me!

When you have kernel panics, the pertinent information is in the panic report.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
In the Console window, select
          DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
          View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". Select the most recent one. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.

Use of Checkbox in Report for calculation and determine checked records

Application Express 4.0.1.00.03
I have a Report based on Invoice table which displays unpaid Invoices.
Also I have added one check box (Not a column in Invoice field) to each row of the report query, the user will be check to pay the Invoice, on checking of the Invoices I need to
1. Calculate the total of Invoice Amount for selected Invoices.
2. After selection of Invoices User will click on a Button which will open the Payment Form (New Page or Same Page Region),
but some way I need to know the Invoice No. of each Invoice row selected so that I can use all the selected Invoice No's for creating the Payment.
3. Any way to add a button on each row of the Invoice that will be used for the Payment of that Invoice only.
One way can be to create a column to save the check box value which I am aware of, but am looking for other alternate if possible.
Hoping for some good solution.

How can I make it read only, there is no such attribute which can be set for report column as it exists for Items.

</script>Also I checked from the Page source "CB_PAY" and "BAL" have names f01 and f02 respectively.
Even now when I check or un-check the Value in TEST item is not displayed as required.
Anything more is required, what am I missing.

I can't use word because a box keeps popping up saying that it can't find the spell check files?

I open Word and there is a pop-up message saying that word cannot start the spelling checker because the files may be missing and to make sure that the spell checker files are installed or use the Microsoft installer to install spell checker. I have never had this problem with Word before and spell check has always been fine. What should I do?

Since word is made by Microsoft you should post your question on their own forums for their Mac software as Apple Communities only provide support for Apple products:

Hello,
I have configured automatic credit control for sales orders.
When a confirmed order quantity is entered, I get a warning message plus the credit block, just as I need. If I have no confirmed quantity of the items, I get no message, just a saved order.
Our item confirmation is done only on what is in stock, not on RLT, so it is common that an item has 0 confirmation. I need a credit block if the value would otherwise exceed the open credit limit? How can I do this? I've tried both the static and dynamic checks, but they only work with confirmed quantities.
