Preboot sign-in password

I have an LaserJet 500 color MFP M575. I enter the preboot menu and select "3: Administrator" and it prompts me for a password. I have to press the up/down arrows to enter a numeric password. I set a password previously, but now it is not accepting it. Is there a default password for the sign-in at the preboot menu for all M575's? Is there a way to reset this?
Inside the EWS there is a menu inside the EWS GUI to set a Service Access Code. Is this the same code that can be used to login to this preboot menu?

Yes, I am having the same probelm. While I can sign into Skype.com using my username and password and view my account status, profile, etc., the Skype program installed on my PC will not load using my user name and password. This only happened after I was prompted by Skype this AM to Upgrade my Skype program at their suggestion for a "better user experience". Now I cannot use Skype at all...

What FileVault does in Lion and Mountain Lion is encrypt the whole hard drive, so if you don't type your user password when you start the Mac with FileVault, it's near impossible to access to the data because the hard drive can't be accessed.
In Lion and Mountain Lion, FileVault encrypts all the hard disk, so your files are safer than with FileVault in Mac OS X Snow Leopard. The thief will probably be unable to access to the files

How can I sign a password protected PDF doc?

I am trying to sign a password protected document, downloaded from a government site. I can use all button and drop-down menus and also validate the document but then, when I click on the line where I have to sign, there is only the cursor flashing and I cannot sign it. It seems that the document was created with version 8.1.7. and I have 11.0.02. Does anyone know what I have to do to sign this doc?

Is the thing you're clicking on a text field or a digital signature field?

Forgotten sign in password

I have forgotten my password to sign in. and when I click to reset it says I need a USB flash card. I do not know what kind to get or why I need this. I really do not want to use a password to sign in to the computer. Some one told me it need to be sent out for repairs. Any idea's on why I have to have this flash card and what it is exactly. I did check but there are so many I do not know what one to buy. This has windows 8 but I am not sure what bit. I know this is about a year old was boughten brand new from Best Buy and no I did not get any warrantees. any help would be great

How can I get Firefox to remember my AOL sign in & password?

My wife & I use the same computer and both use AOL for Email. Both of our usernames & passwords would come up on the Email sign in page, so we could just choose the appropriate one. Then a while ago AOL made me change my password, but the password didn't change on the sign in page, so i would have to delete it each time & put in the new one. I didn't realize that the password was stored in Firefox. So yesterday I contacted AOL & they had me click on tools then options then security then saved passwords then highlight https.//my.screenname.aol.com and then delete it. So now when we go to the sign in page, only her info is there, & if I delete hers & put in mine Firefox doesn't ask If I want Firefox to remember the password. I would like to get it back to where it remembers both again. Thank you

This website is using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving and filling the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save names and passwords and other form data.

How do I get Thunderbird to use my military Cac Card (Smart Card) as my sign-in password for my AKO account?

The army AKO email forces me to redo my password every month unless I use my Cac Card to sign in. How do I get Thunderbird to read my Cac Card and use that to sign into my ako email with? I have found a step-by-step process online (http://militarycac.com/files/Thunderbird_CAC_Digital_Signature.pdf) however when I get to the ActivClient download (step one) it tells me that installing ActivClient might make things not work. Is there an easy way to do this? Please help!

Signing requires password and I don't have it!

Hi. A few weeks ago, I experienced some trouble on how to enable signing in Reader, and got good help on:

I created my signature, enabled signing rights in Reader and managed to put my signature on a document as a test.
Now that I'm putting this into practice with a document, I find that I have to submit a password in the middle of the signing procedure. "A password is required to use this digital ID." This goes for both Acrobat and Reader.
Password? I didn't need that the first time, and I didn't as far as I can remember state any password when I created my signature.
Any tips on this?

Hi, thanks. Yes, it seems I've created a p12 file. Via the security settings, I managed to "detach" the p12 file and create a new one, with a password of my own choice. Things now seem to work quite well, but Reader has gotten a bit unstable, and both Reader and Acrobat are doing something funny after launch: I get the little wristwatch instead of the ordinary cursor it remains until I perform some action, then it disappears. Strange. Must have done something half-wrong with the security settings
In my opinion, Adobe is not very good at describing things in help files and GUI. Read this, for instance: "You add digital ID files to this list by adding one of the digital ID from the digital ID file to your digital IDs." Eh?

I just had the exact same issue. I changed my password and received a confirmation email. I am able to log in to my account on Skype.com, but not able to sign in to the Skype application on my desktop. I hope someone out there can help resolve this.

Google sign-in/password wrong

For the last few days I've been getting a "reminder" to re-enter my google account password. I finally did it today and the sign in tells me that my password or email is incorrect. I verified the information online with google and everything I'm entering is correct. I've tried deleting and reloading the account as well without any luck. Anyone know how to fix this?
