Precalculation Server error after 10 broadcasted workbooks
Hi gurus,
i have a question concerning broadcasting workbooks. We are using the newest precalculation server with patch 13. The first 10 workbooks are calculated and sent via email. The rest of workbooks calculated are sent as a job but the RSRD_Log transaction shows an error. It begins with "Unresolved exception occured in the precalculation server" then next message "System.Runtime.InteropServices.comException. The RPC server is unavailable (Exception from HRESULT:xxxxxx) "
Then some other messages are displayed. Then at the end it says cannot precalculate Workbook. In rsprecadmin the server is green and ready.
Is there any restrictionin sending via Email?
How can i get the server again to continue sending?
How can i clear the queue, to get the precalculation server ready to continue scheduled workbooks?
Thanks and kind regadrs,
Murat
Hi Edward,
we are testing the broadcast functionality and we want to go live first week in september. I hope you remember and suggested me the note which came out in CW33 with the precalculation server patch 13 . we are using it but still NVs but there is also the issue with the sizing. Last night we scheduled 16 times the same workbook.All 5 minutes one workbook should be sent out. 2 Precalculation server were set up to deal with them. In the SAP document "How to ...Troubleshoot Information Broadcasting (BEx Workbooks)" in chapter 2 it is mentioned that when ycurrently you can have 10 workbooks in the queue. Therefore we set up 2 precalculation server with 10 workbooks capacity. Then we set in the Broadcast setting the load balancing option without selecting any precalculation server. My intention would be the first 10 workbooks should be broadcasted with one of the precalculation server. After he has reached his capacity the next workbooks would be broadcasted with the second precalculation server. Am i wrong?
When i check the queue i see the 16 workbooks in "Queue Overview of Proccessed Error-Free Precalculations" but with a duration with 0 seconds. the log says in RSRD_LOG says as described before the first message is "Unresolved exception occurred on the precalculation server" then "System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x800 0706BA): The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception" and at the end "Cannot precalculate workbook ZBROADCAST_TEST". I can see that when load balancing the second server is not used.
But while seraching for precalculation server it says "Precalculation server PRECALC_2 has only 0 free instanzen => not selected" but why. it has never been used why 0 instances free?

Internal Server Error after implemeting a Merged Appl_top
Hi folks,
I have been plagued by an issue since a long time. I'm implementing a merged appltop on sun solaris (5.10) on 11.5.10.2
Basically its a clone of two nodes into a single node. After merging, the services are coming up good. Apache is running well. But when opening the AppsLogin page, it is blowing up saying Internal Server Error.
When looked into the mod_jserv.log, it shows the below error.

Question - Trying to use Icloud on a PC - I get a server error after I put in my e-mail and password. Why? I can sync up all my devices from Itunes with my MaC, Iphone and IPad but I can't do it with my PC
I regret that you're having trouble setting up your email, corbad! You're on the right track with your incoming email address. You might also try incoming.verizon.net or incoming.yahoo.verizon.net as possible alternatives, and 995 as the port number. Please let me know how that goes!

Precalculation Server for Information Broadcasting
Hi Folks,
Do we need Precalculation server to use Information Broadcasting in BW7.0?
I am especially interested in using the Filling OLAP Cache functionality in Information Broadcasting to fill OLAP cache for one workbook.
Need your help on this.
Regards,
SnHi Raghavendra \ NS,
We have only one application server. The issue might be because of the broadcast settings which I am giving to fill the OLAP Cache.
In my current query there are two variables one is on business unit and the other one is on calendar month. Both the variables are optional.
Business Unit variable accepts multiple single values as input and the calendar month is selection-option variable.
Now My problem is if I fill cache with a variant, without providing any value for Business Unit variable (i.e for all the business Units ) and Calendar month values as 01.2010 to 11.2010, then when I execute the query for Business Unit x and Calendar month 10.2010- this is not picking data from cache instead reading from the database. Ideally this selection is the subset of the cache which I have filled.
The query is picking data from the cache only if I give the same variable values i.e no values for Business Unit and 01.2010 to 11.2010 for calendarmonth.
My requirement is to fill the cache for all the Business Units and all the calendar months of current year. This cache should be accessed by the query even if user selects one or multiple or all the Business Units and a single or range or all the calendar months of current year.
I might be doing something wrong in settings of BEx broadcaster. Please throw some light on the settings which I have to make in this case.

500 Internal Server Error after deploying several times
Hello everyone. I originally had an issue with SOA not running as a service due to some issue with Windows Server 2003 and custom installation. I'm not entirely sure that problem is fixed, but unsure if it could be related to this issue.
The problem I'm having is if I redeploy an application a few times, I get the following error:
*500 Internal Server Error*
Servlet error: An exception occurred. The current application deployment descriptors do not allow for including it in this response. Please consult the application log for details
after I go to the application. This machine currently has 8gb of memory and I do know I am still using the default memory setting. When I tried to change it, all of the applications stopped functioning.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm curious if uninstalling SOA and then using the basic installation will fix most of my problems.I forgot to mention that I had to manually create the service as well which I don't think is still working quite right. The application server will run, but it's not accessible by anyone. Only once I manually start the SOA Server does it work properly, until it hangs up of course.
I'll check metalink to see if there has been any updates to the Windows 2003 problem. -

Internal server error after wpg_docload.download_file
Hello,[PRE]
In apex v. 2.1 after running this procedure:
create or replace procedure download_my_file(cislo_prilohy In Number) As
v_length Number;
v_file_name Varchar2(2000);
Lob_loc Bfile;
Begin
Select filename
Into v_file_name
From PRIL
Where cisloprilohy = cislo_prilohy;
Lob_loc := bfilename('PRILOHY', v_file_name);]
v_length := dbms_lob.getlength(Lob_loc);]
owa_util.mime_header('application/octet', False);]
htp.p('Content-length: ' || v_length);]
htp.p('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="' || SUBSTR(v_file_name, INSTR(v_file_name, '/') + 1) || '"');
owa_util.http_header_close;]
wpg_docload.download_file(Lob_loc);]
End download_my_file;]
I got window "Download file" with correct filename and size,but after I saved or opened the file, there was only:
HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error
Server: Oracle XML DB/Oracle Database
Content-Type: application/octet
Content-Length: 4056367
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="nikon.pdf"
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<TITLE>500 Internal Server Error</TITLE>
</HEAD><BODY><H1>Internal Server Error</H1>
</BODY></HTML>
inside the file.
Here are my steps:
1) I created directory object 'PRILOHY' and granted read permissions on them.
2) I created table PRIL (CISLOPRILOHY NUMBER,FLOB BFILE,FILENAME Varchar2, CISLOPASPORTU NUMBER)
3) I inserted row into the table:
insert into PRIL (FLOB,FILENAME,CISLOPASPORTU)
values (BFILENAME('PRILOHY','nikon.pdf'),'nikon.pdf',201);
4) I created procedure download_my_file.
5) I run procedure from apex process.
Any ideas, what's wrong?
Thank you
ZdenekUnfortunatelly it did'nt help.[PRE] I've tried use only this code as a database user from APEX:
Lob_loc := bfilename('PRILOHY', v_file_name);
wpg_docload.download_file(Lob_loc);
with the same error.
Thanks for help. -

Edited by: akulala on Dec 30, 2009 7:57 PMIn your middle tier (where your dads.conf file is located), do you have a file called marvel.conf (this was used in very early versions of APEX if memory servers)? If so you will either need to put your /pls/apex entry into your marvel.conf file of configure the App Server to user the dads.conf file. (I think all of this is done in the http.conf file but I am not 100%)
Also, this sounds like a stupid question but can you ensure that you only have entry in you dads.conf or marvel.conf file that relates to /pls/apex
If you are still having issues, try updating the line: PlsqlDatabaseConnectString faiz:1521:orcl ServiceNameFormat
to: PlsqlDatabaseConnectString TNS_ENTRY TNSFormat
where TNS_ENTRY is replaced by a valid TNS Identifier in the same Mid Tier home: ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/tnsnames.ora
Finally, in earlier versions you had to use a forward slash character as the last value in the Alias line i.e. Alias /i/ "E:/oracle/product/10.2.0/db/Apache/images\". I always configure this line in this way and never seem to have an issues. Not sure if this is required anymore but may be one more thing that is mis configured.
I hope all of that helps.
Let me know how you get on.

Duncs

Internal Server Error after OS X Update
I have upgraded with the latest OS X patch and now cannot open the "updates" tab in Apple Store. I get an "Internal Server Error - Read" message.
I have also noticed Simcity Complete Edition for Mac which was purchased in Jan 15 now seems to have reverted to a "beta" version after the upgrade.
App Store also will not allow me to login.
I am concerned because if this is a bug caused by the upgrade, now I cannot get to the upgrade page to download any fix.
Any suggestions?I'm having the same issue after upgrading to Yosemite. The reference number is slightly different, but the error is otherwise the same.
Possible solution to sign out and sign back into the app store:
App Store > Updates - Internal Server Error - Read

Hello Guys,
We are running ebs 12.1.3 on OEL6. Upon logon today I was a prompt to chage the sysadmin's password. I ended using FNDCPASS for a successful change:

Since then I have been unable to connect into the apps with its URL - I am getting
