PreClusterCreationValidationFailure when trying to create a cluster through the Azure Powershell

I'm currently working on with Windows Azure in order to set up a cluster up and running, following the steps from
here. But when i tried to execute the command i got this error:
New-AzureHDInsightCluster : Unable to complete the cluster create operation left behind state: 'Error'. Message: 'PreClusterCreationValidationFailure'.
I had a look into the
this, but i was kinda confused with it. What does the input values mean in it? Is it the
ClusterSizeInNodes? and also could this error occur due to the same cluster name being already exist?

Hi,
Yes, you went through the correct link. 'PreClusterCreationValidationFailure' means there are errors in the user input values that is supplied while cluster creation. Input values can be:
1. Cluster name (if the name is duplicate)
2. Password (does not match the required password policy)
3. Storage account location (the cluster region and the storage account region needs to be the same)
ClusterSizeInNodes should not be a problem unless you are providing a very huge number. You can try creating the cluster from the portal with the exact same details you are providing in your script. The portal will validate and highlight most of such validation
errors.

Error when trying to create/edit users in the tree domain from exchange

The scenario is we have one forest and two different domains in tree domain architecture(Forest : expo.com)(tree : dept.com) with windows 2012R2
We have deployed exchange 2013 in another server with windows 2012R2 based on expo.com.
When I try to create new user for dept.com I am getting the below error. but the same is working for expo.com

For user account in dept.com, we should create it on DC in dept.com domain.
By my understanding, we have install Exchange 2013 in expo.com domain, there are no Exchange that install in dept.com domain. If I misunderstanding, please be free to let me know.
If that, If that, we should create link mailbox for user in dept.com domain. In the Exchange forest, for each user in the accounts forest that will have a mailbox in the Exchange
forest, create a mailbox that is associated with an external account by the following link:

RAC: ocfs-option disabled when trying to create database with dbca.

Hi everybody,
I have a really weird problem running dbca in my 2-node RAC installation on Red Hat ES.
The software version of both oracle clusterware and rdbms is 10.2.0.2.0, meaning the latest patchset has been applied.
I have installed and configured ocfs, and 4 different ocfs-partition are neatly presented to the operating system. I can save files and browse the ocfs file system, everything seems to be working fine.
Also, srvctl status nodeapps -n <nodename> shows that oracle clusterware is running nicely, all the components are up including the listener, which I used netca to configure.
However, when trying to create a cluster database using dbca, the option to use ocfs is not enabled, e.g it is "grayed out" in the Oracle Universal installer. So is raw devices option. The only option left is the ASM, which is selectable in the OUI.
In addition, I can indeed run scripts manually and create a single-instance database and use the ocfs-partitions for the datafiles, redo logs and archivelogs. No problems at all!
Do any of you guys have the slightest clue what can be causing this behaviour? Of course I have raised an issue with Oracle Support, but while waiting for an update, it doesn't hurt trying the forum.

"Recovery partition not found" when trying to creat recovery discs.

I received the following error message when trying to create recovery discs for the first time "recovery partition not found" HP G61 401SA Notebook and it is a couple of years old and has windows 7 as th OS.
I specifically purchased DVD-R discs for the disc creation, which was advised from HP site was the only disc suitable.
Am I doing something incorrect or is there an issue?
Is this why I am unable to also create a back up - are the two things related?

One more thing, could you advise on how much space the recovery might be approximately - I will need to make sure a USB has enough memory available. Take another look at the disk management window. The partition sizes are visible in the descriptions. My HP loaner has a large recovery partition at >20GB. That mean I had to use a 32GB usb flash drive Most others are smaller and a 16GB usb flash drive will suffice.

When I try to update Safari through the AppStore, an error (NSURLErrorDomain error -1012)(-1012) pops up. What do I do?

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors. You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

Error when trying to create a new Voyager Workspace through Infoview

When trying to create a new Voyager Workspace through Infoview, I get the following Error
"An Error hs occured while attempting to connect to the OLAP server.Failed to initialize(The following component Microsoft OLEDB Provider for Anaysis Services 2005 returned server error(An error was encountered in the transport layer;the peer prematurely closed the connection"
I clicked on New Voyager Workspace & then it displays the list of connections available. When, I click on any connection , then I receive thefollowing error

An Insight of our environment regarding this, we have an clustered environment with Voyager Installed. Platform is Windows Server 2003. We have all the required Microsoft client tools installed on the Production Servers.
This was working fine earlier. We were able to create Voyager WorkSpace at one instance of time. The problem at that point of time was the MDAS Server was not showing up in CMC, i.e as we had clustered environment, only one of the MDAS Server was showing up in the CMC. it was missing the other MDAS Server. but, at that time we were able to create Voyager Workspace.
So, in order to view the other MDAS Server in CMC, we had changed the name of the Server in CCM for both the MDAS Servers.
In detail, Server A.MDAS Server & Server B.MDAS Server- they both were not showing up in CMC. only one of them was showing up in Servers list in CMC.
So, in CCM we had changed the name of Server1.MDAS server to be Server1 &
for Server2.MDAS Server to be Server1 as well.
AFter this both the MDAS Servers were showing uo in CMC.
but, when I login into Infoview & click on new Voyagerworkspace & select a connection, I recieve the follwoing error

Hi,
Try to create the objects again and take the screenshot of SU53 when you get the error and see the authorization object for which you are getting the error here.
It is possible that you dont have development authorization.
Also the issue could be that the system is not configured to create the objects begining with Z.
Check this with basis as well.

DataSource CORP_LDAP: Naming exception when trying to create principal

Using NetWeaver 6.40 SP 15.
I have configured the UME to use writable LDAP and database. Specifically, for LDAP I'm using the Sun One Directory Server. I'm able to authenticate using one of the LDAP users using a Web Dynpro app.
When I try to create a user through the NWA web app, I simply get a "Could not create user" error in the application. In the server instance "security.log" I found the following:

Thanks for your replies and SORRY for my late response.
Now, what I actually want is that though my UME is connected to LDAP i want to the portal admin to be able to create users in the portal DB. I checked my UME configuration and it says
Microsoft ADS (Deep Hheirarchy) + Database
and the name of the configuration file is
dataSourceConfiguration_ads_deep_writeable_db.xml
Now I could not understand why I am not able to create users in the DB?
Does the portal has any restriction like at any given point of time only one of the user stores can be active? Doesnt the portal allow both the user stores to be active at a time?

Solution to stop error when trying to create a portfolio

Hi all,
I finally found a way to make a portfolio in acrobat pro 9. The problems I was having were explained in the thread titled "Acrobat pro 9 has a stop error when trying to create a portfoloi"
It seems ther is another way to do this, by selecting 'combine' and then 'merge files into a single pdf' rather than 'assemble pdf portfolio'.
The merge option also gives the choice of making a pdf package and does not result in a stop error with authplay.dll.
So much for Adobe support who conuld not tell me this or respond to support requests.
All I have to do now is to remember to not click on 'assemble pdf portfolio' when I want to assemble a pdf portfolio but "merge files into a single pdf" when I want to assemble a pdf portfolio.
I would still like to hear from Adobe why acrobat pro 9 has a stop error with authplay.dll.
I feel a lot happier now.

I read through the pdf wth your emails to/from customer support. I'll have to defer to someone else because it seems you have tried what I would suggest.
If someone else does not respond with a better plan and you are willing to spend a bit more time before writing off Acrobat 9, I would try the process below one last time. (If you are using a CS suite, while authplay.dll is found in each of the directories, it does not appear that the issue extends to the other programs.)
1. Using Add/Remove Programs, uninstall all Adobe Acrobat and Reader software and uninstall the Adobe Flash Player Active X and Adobe Flash Player Plugin. If you have it, uninstall Adobe Air.
2. In C:\Documents and Settings\(your profile name)\Application Data\Adobe, delete the Acrobat and Adobe PDF folders if they still exist.
3. Reinstall only Acrobat 9.
4. From Acrobat, run the updater Help > Check for Updates and install all updates.
5. Verify Adobe Acrobat is now version 9.2: Help > About Adobe Acrobat Pro (If for any reason it is not 9.2, use the update on http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows
6. Test

While searching for a solution, I just saw your post over at acrobatusers.com (http://www.acrobatusers.com/forums/aucbb/viewtopic.php?id=15765). Looks like my advice was largely a duplicate, although your event log indicates Acrobat did not update properly.

Elements 10 organizer keeps stopping when trying to create a slide program.

When trying to create a slide program Elements 10 Organizers stops working about half way through the selection. How can I correct this problem?

I tried what you said and was able to import my movie into iDVD although I still had trouble writing the DVD (4 more times) as the titles page viewed with the wrong buttons and the sound was out of synch with the movie.
I tried once again from within iMovie and clicked the 'proceed' button instead of 'render and proceed' and this seemed to work okay.
I then went on to create the DVD which worked fantastic.
Thanks for your help which lead me in the right direction.

NI Configurator 4.1 - Crash when trying to create custom tab

For some reason I have problems when trying to create custom tab in NI Configurator 4.1.
Every time the result is same: Error - NIFCONF_ERROR_APPLICATION_EXCEPTION - Parameter is incorrect...
Any help in this?

You can try dragging the site icon of this page on the left edge of the location (Address) bar and release it on the desktop. Please try opening it. If it still shows an error it could be a problem with the system's zone permissions. Error message in Adobe Pdf in printer device panel when trying to create a pdf document. I have CS3 Web Premium with Acrobat Professional 8. I use it fine on my old computer with Windows XP. I recently got a new laptop with Windows 7. I installed all my Adobe programs, and I think they are working. When I look at Adobe PDF in the device section of the Control Panel it looks okay. But when I try to print a Word, Photoshop, or HTML page in PDF, nothing happens. I have tried printing both as File>print and using the PDF tab on the top menu bar. I look at the device in the control panel and it has the yellow error warning symbol and suggests trying to troubleshoot. I look at the document list and it says status "error". When I try troubleshooting Windows suggests doing some Home Sharing and also suggests canceling the document I'm trying to print. I tried re-installing just Acrobat 8 from CS3 (and have to use Photoshop CS4 disk for shared documents I guess). I ran into a can't locate adobepdf_dll file, so did a web search on this issue and found a suggestion that I find and use the adobepdf_dll_64 file and may have to (I did have to) remove the "_64" for it to work. I think I successfully reinstalled using that dll file- no errors came up anyway. But still when I try printing/converting a photoshop, webpage, or word document into pdf, the pdf device in control panel still gives the error status on the document and gives the same troubleshooting advice. Help?

I just compared the properties between the two computers. On the old computer it has the port as "My Documents/*.pdf". On my new computer it lists the port as "LPT1". I tried changing the port to "Print as File", but when I try printing a photoshop picture as pdf, I get a "Access Denied". I then tried to create a new port on the device control panel. I tried to create a local port "My Documents/*.pdf" port but was denied. I ten tried to create a new port type and control panel asked for an INF file. I wonder if this is where my problem lies. Thoughts?
