Predefined the Transaction S_ALR_87012284
Hello,
if you open the Transaction S_ALR_87012284 you will find on the tab outputcontrol the field
scope compression. In these field is figure 2 predefined. I want to predefined the figure 3.
Is this possible to predefined this field with figure 3?
Can You explain me how it works?
regards
Mathias
The you'll need to use a transaction variant. Search on the forum. Like e.g.:
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/40d1443e-0184-2c10-c68d-c612f771fe6f?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true

How do I create a new Work Center for the transaction launcher and links
Hi
The requirement here is for me to find out if I can create a new Work Center that will contain up to 6 assignment blocks and each block having either links to websites and BW reports, or triggers to R/3 applications via the transaction launcher.
Can I do this purely through customising or do I need to create a new view using BSPs? If I can do it through customising please could I have a few pointers to what component I would need to use/copy?
Regards
DeclanHi Robert,
Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
Just so I understand, if I want to show a work center I need to link it to a component / view? I think this was the original query - do I need a developer to create the view that contains the 6 blocks with their links to reports, transactions and websites? I think when I talk about blocks I mean 1 viewset containing 6 views. There is no SAP standard view that would suit my requirements is there? Even if the work center had 8 views, I can always hide the two views in configuration.
After the developer has created the view, I then reference that component in the target Id in the define logical links section of my work center.
If my understanding is right, then it follows that it is not possible to create a user specific work center without some development.
Is this correct?
Cheers

Error while running a BDC for the Transaction F-02
Hi,
I'm getting an error <b><i>"Parking not possible during Batch Input"</i></b> while running a BDC for the transaction F-02.
When i click on the error message it displays the message [b<i>]"In Customizing, you can control whether an error message is issued."</b></i>
How to solve this issue?.
Waiting for ur replies.........
Regards
N.SenthilHi,
When you are doing the recording in SHDB, and in the same screen where the TCODE to be recorded is given, there are options that you can choose called "Recording Parameters"...Select the checkbox which says "Not a Batch Input Session", this will set the sy-binpt variable to " "(in a recording by default it is "X")...and you will not get this error...
Also make sure while writing the BDC program to make use of the "bdc options" parameter which has this property to switch of sy-binpt...
Refer below theard for sample bdc code for f-02.

NAMED_SEQUENCEs: The transaction is no longer active
Hi all,
I am currently trying to get Petstore 1.3.1 going on WLS 7.0.0.1 an got
into quite some trouble (btw, does anyone have experience with this
cofiguration?). After successful deployment in /application I tried the
"populate database" link on ~/petstore/index.jsp and got:
java.sql.SQLException: The transaction is no longer active (status = Committed). No further JDBC access is allowed within this transaction.

Hello -
We are attempting to use a design where a connection will remain in use over multiple
transactions.
Is there any way to get weblogic to allow this? No, at least not jts connections. Non-XA connections need our management to
ensure all the work gets committed or rolled back atomically. It doesn't
cost anything to always obtain jts connections in the context of the tx
they are needed.
Besides XA, you could get a plain non-transactional connection and do your
own jdbc commits/rollbacks...

Thanks for any advice.

Application Parameters not working in the Transactional iViews
We had created transactional iViews for calling the standard SAP Transaction: IQS8 and IQS9. Here the issue is that we would like to populate the default screens for these 2 transactions with different set of default values.
So, we created variants and sending them as an application parameter to these trasnactional iViews. When we call this iView it is displaying these default values as per the variant which we are sending. But when executing that transaction, it seems those application parameters that we send through the iView are not being used to call that transaction.
How to enforce the transaction to make it use the application parameters as default values, does any one has any idea?
Please let me know if any one of you have a solution for this.Hi Venkat,
You might want to try the following approach:
1- Create a new transaction code in your SAP system (using transaction SE93 - maintain transaction) which would be a transaction variant of the transaction you want to call with a specific variant
2- Create a 'SAP transaction' iview that points to the new transaction code you created (SAP information <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/88/266a3e54a2e946e10000000a114084/frameset.htm">here</a>)
Hope this helps.

The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur.
We have a windows server 2008 R2 Virtual machine and we are getting the following Warning Event.
Event 51 Volmgr
The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur.
Any idea what is wrong with this server? Why this event is occurring?Hi Jitender KT,
Before going further, would you please let me know the complete error message that you can find (such as a
screenshot if you can provide)? Please check and confirm in Event Viewer if there other related event you can find, such as Event 57 and so on. Meanwhile, can you remember what operations you have done before the warning occurred?
Based on current message that you provided, please run
Chkdsk command to check if you can find error. The issue seems to be related to the storage device. Please refer to the following similar question.

In addition, please also refer to the following link. It should be helpful.

Portal Runtime Error while checking the Transaction in Portal
Hi all,
We r in the phase of setting the configuration of Portal. We did the the template installer but when iam checking the transactions in Portal ( System Administration--> Support--->SAP Apllication) , it is throwing me the following error.
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : N/A
Component Name : N/A
Missing Property 'ClassName' in property file for layer'Transaction/WinguiSSOLayer'..
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
Can anybody help me in this regard.
Thank in Advance.Hi Niyati,
I guess check through -->
Under "Personalize > User Profile" the checkbox "Activate Accessibility Feature" must be unchecked!
as, people earlier also faced this issue and SAP provided this solution.
Also an alternative solution for this is like --
Go to:
<Drive>\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<Instance No.>\j2ee\cluster\server<Server No.>\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap\property\Transaction
and see the content of the 'WebGuiSSOLayer.properties' file.
One of the entries is ''ClassName'. The value on a 'valid' portal is: com.sapportals.portal.sapapplication.itsdetection.ITSDetectionLayer
If it's not the case, then go to:
<Drive>\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<Instance No.>\j2ee\cluster\server<Server No.>\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd
rename the file 'com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.par.bak' to 'com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.par' open the par file and edit the file ''WebGuiSSOLayer.properties' (add the relevant entry for ClassName).
Save the file (still with the par extension)
Restart the portal (if everything is OK then the bak extension will be added to the filename).
Just try this, hope it works.
Reward points if helpful

Doubt in layers of the Transaction
Hi Gurus,
Can anyone explain what is the difference between following 4 at the transaction level. How each individual will helpful in the transaction process....
1) Item Categories.
2) Item Category Group
3) Item Categories Usages
4) Item categories Determination.
With example is greatfull......
Regards,
Sap Adherent.
Moderation: Kindly search before you postHi Pepe,
Thanks for the response.
As you mentioned they have different statuses.
In the status profile they maintained the lower and higher values (1-10) for all the listed.
So, does this impacts the visibility of the drop down?
I thought that, it (high/low) only acts not to allow the user to change the statuses from bottom to top.

Drill down facility which leads to a particular tab in the transaction
Hello Experts!
Could anyone help me on this please?
I am displaying a number of sales orders on an ALV grid. A user can double-click on a particular field say "partner no." of any sales order that is displayed. This should open the transaction crmd_order for that particular order number at the item level with the tab "Partner" being displayed. Is this possible? If yes, how do i go about implementing this? I am using OO concepts for the ALV display. Sample code will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,

What DataSource does your testalias refer to?
- If it is a custom DataSource, you must have created this custom DataSource also.
- If it is the default DataSource, you shouldn't have this problem in general...
In either case, you can try deploying your DataSource and/or DataSource alias together with your application:
