Preferences and quick tools not saved

How can I get Acrobat X Pro to save the preferences and quick tools after being closed? The quick tools that I've added remain in the registry file. It's almost like there is some other registry file that the software is using.

I have created a sales order. for that i created a deliery.then i created shipment .and i have put pick qty and batch.
it gives a message Express document " Updated was terminated "received from author XXXX.
and picking is not saved and i'm not able to do PGI.

Analyse this error in ST22 - ABAP runtime error or in SM13 - update request.The system will show the error update records in red color. Click the error & see the problem in funciton module.THis may be because of no ranges problem or any changes in print out program. Also if u have any BADI activation for the sale order & any changes in this program also leads to this error.

FTP login and password are not saved on some sites

On some of my sites the FTP login and password are not saved
(even though the "saved" box is checked). Dreamweaver 8.0 on XP
SP2. I can export the site information and then import the same
file exported and there still will be no login or password placed
in the login or password window. I opened the exported .ste files
in notepad and found the login correct and the password incorrect.
I uninstalled Dreamveaver and reinstalled still same
problem.

Ok, I just spent about 3 hours on this. Here's the latest
that I've found. I had looked at the knowledgebase and my registry
matched what was suggested. As this has been an ongoing issue for
me, I thought it was still an issue. Apparently 8.02 did have some
improvements.
I can only guess that many of the 36 sites I have in the Site
Manager lost info before the .02 update.. or I hope so.
I did however discover that there is still what could be
considered a minor bug. I went in to Manage Sites and selected edit
for all of my sites, fixing the ones that had lost their user/pass
info. I'm not positive, but I think only the last edited site kept
it's data.
I discovered after many checks on all the sites, over and
over and over, that it appears that they are now holding the data,
but, if I add the user/pass, I must not only click the OK button to
close that particular site, but I must also click the 'Done' button
before only that one will be saved.
So, I thought I was fixing logins when in fact I was only
fixing one at a time.. Completely closing 'Manage Site' seemed to
hold one new set of login data each time. Seems that it shouldn't
be this way.
But I must say, I am rejoicing at the moment, as I actually
have all my sites set up with FTP info and I am now looking forward
to hopefully adding more and maybe they'll actually be available
for the next editing session.

Updating preferences in ID cc not saving

I'm using InDesign CC - saved and re-saved my preferences but still will not default to inches when I creat a new doc. Still shows up as pics. Why??

I'm using InDesign CS6 [but not on the Cloud]. During the past month or so, my Units & Increments preferences have changed from Inches to Picas over a dozen times. I close all documents, open Preferences and choose Inches. Then create new document...Repeatedly...Over and over. Preferences show as Inches for a day or two, but then revert to Picas.
Also, my Workspace constantly reverts to Essentials. But, I have custom Workspace saved and have to constantly choose my custom Workspace to see the tools configuration I've used for over 5 years.

When I click on the popup to remember password it doesn't take. The popup just sits there. I close it and password is not saved. How do I fix this?

This is not just problem sites like gmail or yahoo. Every site I go to is having this same problem. Window pops up asking to "remember password for x on x" and I press the "Remember Password" button and nothing happens. The popup just stays there like it didn't register my response. Finally I close it and ultimately the password is not saved. It's clearly a bug but I can't figure how to fix it. Any suggestions?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

It is possible that there is a problem with the files key3.db and signons.sqlite that store the encrypted names and passwords in Firefox. 
Rename the files key3.db and signons.sqlite in the Firefox profile folder. 
You can add .old to the file names (key3.db.old and signons.sqlite.old) or move them to another folder to make it possible to undo the action. 
You need to set a new Master Password after renaming or deleting key3.db and all currently saved passwords are lost. 
If that has worked then you can remove the renamed files that are no longer needed.

Selection and Type Tools not working in InDesign CC for Mac

I have just recently downloaded InDesign CC (I use Mac OSX.9.2) and got the World Tools plugin to typeset in different languages.
However, I am having trouble using the selection and type tools. In about the first half of the file, the type tool displays the pointer/dashed box/I-beam icon and doesn't put the cursor in the text when I click on it. I can't click to select text as I should be able to, and if I try to click and drag, all I do is end up creating another text frame. But in about the second half of the file, the selection and type tools work the way they should.
When I click and hold on the type tool, the cursor changes to the crosshairs icon for creating text frames and the "W: H: " dialogue box for text frames appears.
How can I get the tools to work properly in the entire document? Is anyone else having this problem?

@Cindy – usually all 3rd party developers will provide some information for installing and uninstalling their products. First see if you can find some information on their web sites.
Also there should be a dedicated Adobe Extension Manager app where you can look up the installed parts of InDesign. Since I do not have InDesign CC installed, I do not know exactly, but its name should be something like "Adobe Extension Manager CC".
If you start this app it will show all parts installed with InDesign (or other apps that are installed).
Usually at the bottom of the list are the 3rd party installed components. They do not state "Adobe Incoroprate System" as author. Never uninstall (remove) the Adobe ones!

If you select one, a new option is available at the right. In my case here the "Entfernen" button ("Remove" in English).

CS2 Eye dropper and clone tool not picking up correct colour from image.

Hello everyone, Can anyone help me please. I have an iMac with 0SX 10.4.4.
Plenty of Ram and hard drive space. In using CS2 the eyedropper and clone tools will not pick up the exact same colour from the image that I require. It is always lighter in shade and has on occasion been white. Any help in solving this problem will be much appreciated.

Really? Not from the pixels in the file? So the same pixels are reported with different values depending on monitor setup? This is about how the eyedropper reports pixel values, not about how they are rendered to the screen, is that correct?
Just to be sure here, this is so even with the eyedropper set to point sample?

Edit: Or do you mean that this is a known problem with 0SX 10.4.4. and Photoshop, in which the values are picked up from the monitor and not from the file data?

Usernames and Passwords are not Saved

I made sure that the security option for remembering saved passwords was checked; but the new version of Firefox is NOT saving them; I must enter them each time I visit any site that requires a username or password. There was no problem with version 3 in this regard.

You're welcome and I know the feeling, because I am a senior and get those moments myself.

Burn and Dodge tools not working on b/w sketch scan

Hi, I may have somehow eliminated information in an image of a black and white sketch which prevents the dodge and burn tools from working...is there a common mistake which prevents these tools from working as they normally should on a black and white image with multiple shades? (The sketch is not pure black and pure white but has multiple gray shades...it "looks" like an image on which these tools should work.)
When adjusting Levels for the image all of its "information" seems to be clustered around the "0" point on the far left of the Levels adjustment slider, if that helps in understanding this problem....
Did I mistakenly somewhere along the line destroy information in this image necessary for these tools to work?

It is working properly. With a partially transparent layered image, only **some** of the visible tone is coming from the image layer. The rest is coming from whatever is showing on the layer underneath. Burn and dodge will only affect the layer you're working on. As I said, I could get get B&D to affect it a little ... and that's is exactly what it should do in this case. Because the pixels are partially transparent, B&D is only going to **partially** affect the visible tone. It's altering the pixels on the image layer, just not very much because there aren't very many pixels available.
Peel off white does an incredible job. However, I would use it only once. The fact that the sketch becomes a bit transparent tells you it's removing image information.

Indesign CC - tooltip on guides and drawing tools not working

I just updated CC this morning - but the tooltip when you pull guides down or when you draw a new shape (the dimensions etc) do no longer show.
I know you can still see this in the toolbar - but it was really handy seeing near where your cursor was aswell.
Do I need to tick something in prefrences or has this fallen foul of the latest update and will need to be fixed in a future patch?
Hope some else is having the issue and just not me!

It must be a bug in the latest update as a collegue who sits next to me who hasnt run the update still gets the tool tip.

Lift and Stamp tool not working so well? White images!?

Here's a strange issue.
I worked on an image yesterday. Today, I want to copy the adjustments to another image in the same project. When I use the Lift and Stamp tool to copy the adjustments, the new image turns completely white. Even though I checked the adjustments and they look the same as the original one, the new image is all white.
Now the strange thing is when I adjusted another image today then used the Lift and Stamp tool, the adjustments copied over fine.
The only thing I can see which is different from the image I adjusted yesterday is that I had Aperture send that image to CS4 and I edited a TIFF which I stacked back with the original file.
I'll try to make a screencast available so you can see what's going on.
Looks like Apple's going to need to update Aperture 3 before it really comes out.

Thanks for your effort. I am stunned. Would be edifying to know what is happening! I thought it might be okay as I sometimes turn my image black after applying some change, but the black is only a temporary display problem as the image is correct the next time I go to use it; perhaps in my situation Aperture was busy generating new previews for presentation of the changes. Your white is certainly a different issue. Glad it's only an isolated incident and not happening for you on the other images.

Brush and Pencil tool not working in Photoshop CS5 trial

I dowloaded the Photoshop CS5 trial yesterday 2 days ago. Everything worked perfectly yesterday. Unfortunately, today...the brush and pencil tool doesn't work. Anyone have any idea why?
