Preferences in Mail only shows signature pane

When I go to Preferences in the Mail menu in OS 10.5, the only thing that appears is the signatures pane. There seems to be no way to see or adjust preferences for other things, like rules or filters. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

With this Preference panel open, click on View in the menubar, and choose Show Toolbar. The Toolbar has only become hidden.

Iphone Mail Only Shows "Load X More Messages"

My iPhone's mail program just recently broke. My situation is as follows:
1 Work IMAP account
This account worked fine in the past (sending and receiving), but now for some reason whenever I check email it shows "Load X More messages... <newline>X messages total, 0 unread", where X is whatever number of messages is in the inbox (confirmed through another computer for example). I can click on the message and it does the normal UI syncing animations,etc, but the message remains and I cannot view any email.
This also appears to only be happening with my INBOX, because if I hit the "mailboxes" button and pick one of my IMAP subfolders, I can see messages there just fine.
I've tried restart the phone, replacing the email on the phone through iTunes, etc, and nothing has changed (except the X number of messages of course).
What can I do!!!

I tried doing a full restore but that didn't solve anything - even when I choose not to restore my backup, but started from scratch. Funny thing now is, I checked my mail on my phone when I hadn't checked in a while (normally I check on my mac first so it can filter out the spam) and while it still shows the "Load X more message", it ALSO shows my inbox! Crazy. Apple, where is a fix for the terrible email client you've put on the iPhone?

I was setting up CS5's GPU preference settings and clicked on ADVANCED and was surprised to see only BASIC as my only available choice.

Email (gmail) only shows up in the "in box" on iPhone, not on main computer

I need help with my gmail account as it relates to the iPhone.
Certain mail like Facebook alerts, bills and other general type mail only shows up only on the iPhone, not on my main computer's in box. I can find the missing mail in "all mail", but I would like to see it in my in box. Help please!

Hello again... I have the 5S with current capacity of 56 GB and available space of 28GB. (I have several big big rule books and pdf files for work on the phone). There are currently a total of 1627 photos (yes, I know that's a lot...but there used to be even MORE, and I had no problems before ios 8.02) on the phone, and I have done routine purges and deletes and backups to my PC and the Cloud.
When I did the first update to ios 8.0, of course, I found out quickly that photostream and camera roll disappeared, but I was smart enough to figure out that the upgrade created the folder "recently added" and I was able to reinstall the Cloud on my PC and my photos are streaming nicely to the PC and my Ipads (two of them) when I get home to wifi.
Then I did the ios 8.02 upgrade last week. Used my phone to take photos this past weekend while away on a trip, and darn, one of the photos that I really needed, disappeared. I thought perhaps that the problem was "operator error" by the person who took the photo of me. But then last night, I was taking some photos and lo and behold, the same thing happened to me...twice...... the photo image was in the little "icon" box, and I wanted to "share it". So, I touch the icon of the photo, but the photo did not appear in the "recently added" bunch of photos. The previous photo was there. I took another photo, and it appeared normally in the "recently added". <shrug>. Took a few more photos, and once more... the icon showed the image, but no image was in the "recently added" folder.
That's all that I know as of now...... today... no problems. all photos (took about 20) all appeared in "recently added" as they should.

It is running the next operating system (Lion?). Does anyone know how I can get all my old mail back on my iMac. It is my primary computer and I need some of those old messages. I have tried to rebuild the mailbox but it has not done anything.

The mailbox behavior says: Drafts (not checked) store draft messages on the server, Notes (checked) show not in Inbox, Sent (checked) Store sent messages on the server Delete sent messages when (option never selected), Junt (not checked) store junk messages on the server Delete junk messages when (option never selected), Trash (checked) moves deleted messages to the Trash mailbox and (checked) store deleted messages on the server Permanently erase deleted messages when (one month old option selected).
I have not set up any rules that I know of other than a signature, in the very least I have not changed any.

You need to create HTML signatures for use with the Apple Mail apps. You can't just throw in a logo, it has to be stored on the internet and it's location coded into your signature. You may find a service and an app that helps you do that in the iTunes App Store.

My mail inbox only shows about 10 days of mail. Need to search back a few months. How do I do that?

Example of a rule that would delete messages:
If neither of these is your problem I suggest you check with Yahoo to see if there is a setting on their service that could be deleting messages.

Messages folder only shows e-mails not SMS messages.

Hi I have just changed from a pearl to a Curve 8900 and I am having a little trouble in getting the same functuionality.
My messages folder only shows the e-mails I have sent and received and not the SMS or MMS messages that I have sent and received. This means that when I receive a SMS/MMS I have to go into the main Blackberry screen and scroll to the 'SMS And MMS' icon but I feel that I should be able to access sent/received SMS messages from the 'Messages' icon on the home screen. I can create SMS messages from the 'Messages' icon but they don't stay there after they have been sent.
I may have explained this rather poorly but any help would be aprreciated. The only thing I have done to try a fix this is pull the battery but to no avail.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
On the Blackberry go to the main message queue, menu, options, general options.
Scroll to SMS and Email in boxes, select combined. Now SMS will show up in the main queue

Exporting animated gif to web shows only a transparent pane.

I have created a very simple four frame animated gif in CS6. It plays and transitions fine, but when I come to save it to web the preview pane is transparent.
I used 'create video timeline' as my timeline option.
I must be doing something basic very wrong, but can't figure it out.
Any help please!

In terms of replicating the problem, this is what happened to me.
I created 4 frames of animation in the Video timeline. For each frame, the image only showed for a short time and then disappeared until it switched to the next frame.
I'll illustrate the problem.
1. When the playhead is at 1, I see my image just fine.
2. When I move the playhead, the image disappears, despite all the layers still being visible.
3. I open the dropdown menu for each frame and see that the Opacity markers don't extend for the whole frame. Essentially the content disappears before it reaches the end of the frame.
4. I highlight the opacity section and hit delete, so that no change will take place.
However, you say that the animation plays just fine inside your Photoshop document, leading me to believe that I haven't solved your problem yet!

Using the menu and instructions I created a signature ID and customized the signature; however, when I go to sign a document it only shows the name layout or graphic image? Hi macmac57. I don't memorize my numbers anymore, so I know how important it is to have all your contacts on your phone at all times. Did an update occur or a new application download when your contacts disappeared? Have you been backing up your device with your computer? You can try to restore your contacts from your last backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
Are you syncing your iPhone between multiple computers? This can sometimes create issues with your contacts. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1474

I am also having problems with a site I am building. No matter what websafe font I use it displays as New Times Roman in FireFox. The correct fonts show in both IE9 and Chrome.
In addition, text shifts in FireFox. I have to position other text objects farther and farther apart as I go down the page or they start to overlap. Nav buttons and other images also have to be positioned in the wrong place for them to be in the correct place when the page is opened in FireFox. FireFox should display pages correctly by default. I can't expect th average user to have to tweek his/her settings to display my site.
I have been recommending FireFox on my website as the best browser. I might have to change that and abandon FireFox myself.

How do I only show one adressee when sending a group e-mail?

I use ACT database on a PC and would like to buy a Mac but I have one problem. When I send an e-mail to a group, in the "To:" it shows only one person, not the entire group. I work with the media so each editor or reporter thinks I am sending an e-mail only to them which is the protocol in my business. Can I do that on the Mac?
(In other words, I am sending out a news release to 50 editors. I don't want each editor to see that I am sending it out to 49 other editors. I want it to say TO: that particular editor, From: me)

Yes by placing all contacts in the Bcc: (Blind Carbon Copy) field which can be added to the Mail.app message header by default in addition to the To: and Cc: fields.
