Preferences properties and deploymentPlan

Hi,
I see according to this documentation that you can make preferences properties :
It also exist configurations properties but they are not what i need.
Then, i want to make deploymentPlans for differents environnements.
I see according to this documentation that we can change values for configuration properties, partner links... :
But nothing for preferences properties except changing directly in BPELConsole.
Any idea or documentation on this subject ?
Is it possible to make deployment plans with preferences properties ?

Hi,
Finally, i haven't found any solutioin except ant task to replace preferences properties.
I will have a look to your tool Marc, seems it could help :)
what exactly you meant by it doesn't search and replace wsdl and xsd?
In fact, there is a search and replace for wsdl and xsd files.
You can give a list of filenames, with search/replace string. This part works.
But when you give bpel.xml in these filenames => no search/replace done in it.
For bpel.xml, you can only change according to tags values (concerning partnerlinks, jca, configuration properties).
These tags don't include preference properties.
Thanks for help all.

  • Blank windows from Adobe Reader X preferences, properties and more...

Hello, I have blank windows from preferences, properties, print, edit ditcionary and many other items. I am using Adobe Reader X (10.1.1) and Windows 7 64bit Any suggestions? Thanks

    James,
I'm sorry to hear that you were having the same problem under 9.5.  I had recently updated to Adobe Reader 10 under Windows 7 and yesterday my "default printer" simply disappeared from the options on my control panel.  I re-installed my printer, but today whenever I would open a PDF document and try to print it, the document would simply close with no further ado.  After a bit of trial and error, I ended up uninstalling Adobe Reader 10 and going back to Adobe Reader 9.5.  Now everything is working just fine.

  • Should I load properties and or preferentces into a hashmap??

Would this make any difference performance wise?
I use properties mostly for localized labels so it shouldn't affect much as they're loaded only once. But my code is checking preferences quite often...
On the oder hand prefferences are writen to storage asynchronously but... is this true for reading? does the jvm maintain some kind of preferences cache or does it access back end for each prefference read?
    Thanks in advance,
    David

oh, I'm sorry if I didn't express my question correctly, let me try again :-)
I'm using both properties and preferences for two distinc pourposes:
First I use properties for localization. I'm not really bothered for performance in this case as these are read only once at startup anyway. I was jus curious.
Second I use preferences for application configuration data persistance. Say the current db url, or some path... This preferences are to be checked a lot of times during programm execution, hence the question.
If preferencesr were not cached by the system then it would make sense to load them into a hashtable at startup and use this instead. If they were in fact cached by the system then I would preffer to stick with the convenience of having the jvm storing them automatically at shutdown time.
Third: there are probably many performance problems in your code,This I'm sure but I've to try caching any problem I can see :-)
Fourth: Property objects are loaded once and then cached.Ok, this part is now clear thaks to your reply and the one from sabre which, of course, I thank a lot.
    Regards,
    David

    Hi r,
Make sure you close iTunes before shutdown.  And you're quite welcome.

    Hi r,
It sounds like you're running Lion?
Have you tried running Verify and/or Repair Disk?
Have you tried running Repair Permissions?
Do you have at least 15% free space available on your HD?

  • Regenerate the security files : SecStore.properties and SecStore.key

    Hello Expert,
I have a big issue because I lost the both files : SecStore.properties and SecStore.key from the directory /sapmnt/SID/global/security/data. I tried to regenerate the SecStore.properties  from another instance. And when I tried to connect via Configtool I have the following error message : The encryption key (usually in the key files) is
not  the key that is required to decrypt the data in the secure store file or the system name is wrong (SID).
I think that the idea is to generate the new key file.
Could you please help me to find a solution to solve this issue.
Many thanks in advance for your greatfull help.

  • TS3989 New MacAir but  photostream does not work.  Message though everything is on. "In order to use Photo Stream, you have to be signed into your iCloud account in System Preferences." And,

New computer but Photostream does not work.  I am signed into my account but get the following message:  In order to use Photo Stream, you have to be signed into your iCloud account in System Preferences.  I go to system preferences and then get a message that says that my account cannot be accessed.  However, I am using my icloud account for email and other items and it works fine.  Any thoughts?

Are you getting this messages in iPhoto? If so try the following (again?):
Log out of iCloud in the System/iCloud preference pane and disable Photo Stream in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.  Then log back in and re-enable, respectively.  That should jump start Photo Stream.

  • My system preferences have suddenly disappeared! I have the language and text icon but that is the only icon that is displayed! where have my system preferences gone and how do i get them back??

I went to my system preferences today and they are all gone except for my language and text icon! I have the language and text icon but that is the only icon that is displayed! where have my system preferences gone and how do i get them back??

Double click on the picture of the HD on your desktop, then look at the bottom of the window that opens.
First check the S.M.A.R.T. status on your HD: Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility > in the panel at left, select the first item in the list/your HD mechanism > look atthe bottom of the main window next to S.M.A.R.T. status and see if it says “Verified” or something more ominous like “Failing.”
If S.M.A.R.T.status is "Verified," run Repair Disk: Boot from install disc (insert disc > restart > immediately hold down c key and keep holding it until you see “Preparing Installation”) > at first screen select the language and click Continue > click on the Utilities Menu in the menu bar > open Disk Utility > select your HD in the panel on the left side > click Repair Disk at bottom of main window. Run this at least twice, and keep running it until it says “appears ok” twice in a row. If that doesn’t happen, you may need a stronger utility such as DiskWarrior or if the directory is damaged beyond repair, you may need to reinstall the OS, or you may have a damaged HD (repair utilities can only repair the directory structure, not the HD itself). When this is finished, quit Disk Utility, quit the installer, and restart. Once booted normally, go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility and run Repair Permissions.

  • Every time my IMAC is unused for a period, then goes to sleep mode, it loses it's wireless connection and when I wake it up, it DOES NOT automatically reconnect. I have to go to systme preferences network and request that it reconnect.

My iMac is set up wireless.  Everytime it's allowed to go in sleep mode, it loses wireless connectivity.  Then, when I wake it up,  I must go to System preferences,  Network,  and request it to reconnect to my home wireless network.   It always does this successfully, but it's quite annoying that it seems unable to achieve this on it's own.  My iPad 2 and kindle can do this,  why not my iMac?

This appears to be a known issue, there are a couple of things both of you should do, first file a bug report in www.apple.com/feedback.
The next thing is more a work around than a fix. Instead of putting your computer to sleep just put the display to sleep. You will find this in System Preferences - Energy Saver. Set the computer sleep to Never and then set the display sleep to what ever time you prefer.

  • SOAP Use Adapter-Specific Message Properties and Variable Transport Binding

    Hi Friends,
I am new to use to Soap Adapter. Please help me out bellow doubts.
1.When you use Use Adapter-Specific Message Properties and Variable Transport Binding .
       2. Where exactly  we r using below parameters.
Remote User : (technical name: SRemoteUser )
Remote Host : (technical name: SRemoteHost )
SOAP Action (technical name: SHeaderSOAPACTION )
To transfer further header fields, set the relevant indicator. You can then store the following attributes and their values in the XI message header:
    Variable Header : (technical name: XHeaderName1 )
    Variable Header : (technical name: XHeaderName2 )
    Variable Header : (technical name: XHeaderName3 )
    Thanks&Regards
    G.Bhanuprakash

    Hi,
1.When you use Use Adapter-Specific Message Properties and Variable Transport Binding .
SAP Help says both are needed to be checked when you want to process adapter attributes
Configuring the Receiver SOAP Adapter - SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure - SAP Library
These attributes can be get/set using dynamic configuration and their technical names are what you have pasted:
Remote User : (technical name: SRemoteUser )
Remote Host : (technical name: SRemoteHost )
SOAP Action (technical name: SHeaderSOAPACTION )
To transfer further header fields, set the relevant indicator. You can then store the following attributes and their values in the XI message header:
    Variable Header : (technical name: XHeaderName1 )
    Variable Header : (technical name: XHeaderName2 )
    Variable Header : (technical name: XHeaderName3 )
Remote User - the username used to send a message to the adapter engine using SOAP
Remote Host - hostname which the remote user used
SOAP Action - SOAP Action of the XI webservice (sender) / SOAP Action of the receiver webservice
Variable Headers are additional key-value pairs in the HTTP Header that could be accessed in the XI Header using dynamic configuration. The limit is only three though.

  • I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures for my Mail is not showing up. I have the signatures inthe preference panes and selected for the email address, but when I make a new message, the signature shows as none and doesn't give me a choice

I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures for my Mail are not showing up. I have the signatures inthe preference panes and selected for the email address, but when I make a new message, the signature shows as none and doesn't give me a choice. Yesterday, the signatures were stacking instead of switching to the one I wanted to choose.

I had this and fixed it.
I had upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures in Mail were fine. But then about a week later, I got a new computer and used Migration Assistant to copy my stuff to the new machine. Upon opening Mail, I had all the correct Signature information in the Preferences>Signatures window, but nothing worked.
After lots of hunting, I found the Signature Folder. It's in:
    Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
Looking at my previous setup (which works) I saw in that folder two types of files: .webarchive and .siganture
Looking in my new machine's Signature folder, I saw only the .webarchive folders, not the .signature folders
Since this was literally a clone of my previous setup to a new machine, here's what I did:
    1. Quit Mail
    2. In Problem machine, go to
    Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
    3. Move the Signatures folder someplace safe, but out of the MailData folder
    4. Get the Signatures Folder from the working install (like a backup) and copy it to the MailData folder on the problematic machine
    5. Start Mail on the problem machine
This worked for me. I don't know why Migration Assistant didn't copy the full signature folder, but this fixed it. It worked perfectly partly because I had just backed up with Carbon Copy Cloner and the very next day set up the new machine. I don't know where Lion or earlier versions of mail stored signatures, but the absence of the .signature filetype seems to be the problem.
    Hope this helps

That sounds like a compatibility issue with an add-on that you have installed, as reported by a number of users in both Firefox 22 and Firefox 23 over the last couple of months. If you would provide a listing of your installed extensions ''(as you were prompted to do when creating this thread)'' maybe one of us can advise you which extension is the mot likely culprit. You will need to re-install Firefox 23 to do further diagnostic testing.
As far as the compatibility of Firefox 23 and Win XP SP3, Mozilla has verified they are compatible and not one user ''(including me on two separate PC's)'' has reported a problem with compatibility.
