Preferences say save passwords, but they are not saved

For some but not all sites, passwords are not remembered.

It appears that Firefox is not totally compatible with Lion. I did a fresh installation of Lion and then Firefox 5, so this isn't something that's going to be solved with a reinstallation.
I have "remember passwords" on, but they're not sticking. This goes for every site; no credentials are remembered, log-in IDs or passwords.

Your iTunes Voucher is link to the old Apple ID.

How do I install purchased apps on ipad2? It says I have purchased the apps but they are not installed.

Also I can only see them if I go to either the app store or the game center and click on purchased. Did you purchase them directly on the iPad or on your computer's iTunes ? If on your iPad in the App Store app then have you checked to see if they are on a different homescreen by swiping the homescreen to the left ? If they are on a different screen, and there are spaces on the first homescreen then you can move them :
Touch and hold any icon for a couple of seconds until the icons jiggle .
Arrange the icons by dragging them (don't drag too quickly). You can't leave gaps between icons on a page
to move them to a different screen drag them (not too quickly) and then hold them so that they are overhanging the edge of the screen - after a couple of seconds or so the display should change to the next/previous screen (depending on which edge you are holding it) and you can then place the icon.
Press the Home button to save your arrangement.
If you downloaded them on your computer then you can either connect your iPad to your computer and sync them across, or go into the App Store app on the iPad and re-download them via the Purchased tab (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519)

Are you saying that the tick-box shown in my screenshot, isn't there? (Yes, this is iTunes 11 - I've turned on the sidebar and the Menu bar. So you can see, this is a CD in my drive that we're looking at.)
If it isn't, go to Edit/Preferences/General and turn on the tick-box box
You can show the Menu Bar (with Edit on it) by using CTRL + B

You might want to try asking on the MS Office Outlook forum - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macoutlook - since those are Outlook files.

I take it you are not the administrator for the site? If so, you would be given the option to unlock the page (it will be near the top of the screen in a yellow box).
Do you have access to the site outside of Contribute. If you can't unlock it via the administrative function mentioned above, you need to go into the site using Windows Explorer (if it's a local development site) or an FTP client and find a file with the same name as the page but with a .lck extension and delete it. That will unlock the page.

Yes, that is correct. The alternative is to quit all applications prior to logging out. Lion will then have a chance to remove the saved states.

Firefox will only remember a password if you click the Remember button on the sliding bar at the top that opens when Firefox detects a password. 
If you mean a check box on a web page to remember you then such a choice is stored in a cookie on your computer.
* Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
* Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
* In [[Private Browsing]] mode all cookies are session cookies that expire if that session is ended, so websites won't remember you.
* Do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and password exceptions.

I purchased a bunch of songs on my iPhone but they are not showing up on it my computer.

I purchased a bunch of songs recently on my iPhone but they are not showing up in iTunes on my computer. They have always shown up in the past but these few haven't. I usually do a manual upload and backup of my phone, as opposed to doing it via icloud.
In the meantime, I went to the purchases for my account and see that they are listed there and I hit "report a problem". But it doesn't even ask me what the problem is....
Is there anything else I can do?

Go to View->Account and verify you're logged into the same AppleID as the iPhone
Then go to iTunes->Preferences->Store and verify that "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases" is checked.

I have signed out then back into the cloud. I have comfirmed location of the photostream folder. I have have even restored settings on my phone. any ideas on what I can do to get it working again? or do I have to accept defect, and manually save my photos?

HP Laserjet 2420 sees jammed papers, but they are not.

I have a HP Laserjet 2420 printer, I use it with a LAN for work reasons. All the computers using this printer are Apple computer with different version of MacOS X (from 10.3 to 10.6). The printer started stopping randomly and quite often as like as sheets of paper are jammed, but they are not; clicking on the "v" button on the printer is enough to resume work. The printer is apparently fine, so I do not know how to solve the problem.

Can dld newer versions of Frfx but they are not getting installed?

I am able to dld newer versions of firefox but they are not getting installed ... Currently 'about firefox' shows my version to be 27.0.1 but when I go into the troubleshooting option it shows I have version 28.0 and 29.0 in my update history. Please advise. Thanks

Obviously I have seen your post, and sorry you are having problems. Unfortunately this is likely to be because you did not take enough care on the Internet. It is all too easy to go to bad websites and pick up malware that once downloaded does things you may not like or expect.
Explanation

Finding such adware may be problematic, after all it is either downright malware which will try its best to evade being found and uninstalled, or it is adware that a minority of people actually like and deliberately download and install, usually after clicking small print saying this will happen.
Suggestions to try to Uninstall or Remove Adware
First thing to try, check which search engine is selected ? Because this is so simple and could have an effect it is worth checking what Search engine is selected for the Firefox Searchbar. You may have changed that, or software may have,and that will affect other searches including those from the address bar and the start page. All you need to do is click the little downward pointing arrowhead in the search bar and check what is in use and what is available. In most countries Firefox uses Google by default.
Check the shortcut Icons - has an address been added ? Right click the icon on the desktop used to start Firefox has an address been tacked on to the end of that. If something has changed that Firefox goes to that address as it starts up. For comparison use a run command directly. In Windows & with Firefox not already open Use keyboard shortcut Winkey+Run then when you get the run option key in ''firefox.exe'' & hit return. That will run Firefox without any extra instruction.
Adware removal 
I you have got adware, or unwanted software especially if it also affects other browsers (So check the use of Internet Explorer) look for anything unexpected installed in the Windows OS, use the Windows Control Panel. especially if only Firefox is affected check what is installed as extensions and plugins by using the addons manager.
