Preferences window won't display along with other windows.

I am trying to edit my preferences. It only displays a little hint of a window with an X to close it. The same thing for reporting a bug. Basically I have not been able to get one popup application window to display.
I am on Vista Ultimate x64 with dual monitors running in 2650x1600 resolution.
Basically I can't even report the problem as a bug since that feature won't display the window either. Hopefully Apple is monitoring this board.

The same thing is happening to me in XP. I couldn't even log on to this site as a window (probably asking to save my password) is popping up but all it shows is a small title bar with an X. No preferences, can't report bugs or even customize the toolbar.

No, if you have a current version of Win 7 installed on a computer and have used the Product Key to activate it. The PK's are only good for one computer.

Some windows won't display?

For some reason, some of my windows in dreamweaver will not display correctly, or much at all. For instance, when you first open dreamweaver and select "new dreamweaver site" all I get is a window that displays a few text fields and then whatever is behind that window (almost like the entire window is transparent, except when I move the window, it doesn't change to match what is behind it) My system exceeds the dreamweaver minimum requirements.
I operate on windows xp
I am running the trial version.

I have, Thank you. I kinda sorta fixed the problem, I discovered that when I move the window off of the screen, it appears correctly, annoying but I dont know what else to do.

I wish to display an image which is stored in my database along with other contents on the page.
I am able to display the image on an entirely new page but I do not wish to display it on a new page. Neither frames etc fit on my current page design.

I have a byte stream in which i have stored the image from the database (the image is stored in databse as blob) in that jsp.When i use output stream object to display the image from the database (as suggested by many in this forum), the image is displayed in a new page. I wish to display the image along with my other elements like text etc in the same page.

Unfortunately iWeb cannot read or import previously published files, only generate them. You'll have to recreate your site from scratch.
However, Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing files, image, audio, video, etc., from the published site in the recreation of the site.

This is a clear case,that you are trying to post some documents
which does not match with the selection parameters.
I feel the above problem could be due to some document/s (open items of
the earlier years)are incorrect which is causing the reported problem.
Kindly run the challan update program for smaller date range so that you
can find the faulty document.

As per my analysis we found some documents, here We have made advance payment to vendors with TDS and again rised invoce to vendors with TDS and these documents have been nockedoff in F-54.
We have many documents of such nature and as per me it is because of these documents the system is throwing error. Pls. advice as to how to proceed on this.

AS it stands now, in order to use the calculator that comes with the Dashboard, you cannot read from a list of numbers in, lets say, word or excel. The dashboard is full screen and nothing can stand along side it. Is there a way to get the calculator from the dashboard to appear along with other programs? What Mac OS are you using? It should be setup automatically if using 10.7.2 or later after moving to iCloud.

Just to address the last point: check your History menu to see whether you have the Restore Previous Session option and use that if you can. If that is grayed out or doesn't restore everything, check the Recently Closed Windows and Recently Closed Tabs lists for other pages.
The unwanted window may be generated by an add-on. Try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Any improvement?
Here are some other things to check:
(1) user.js file that changes Firefox startup behavior and overrides your preferences. This article describes how to track that down and delete it if you have one: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]].
(2) Possible hijacked shortcut. Check the "target" of the desktop icon you use to start Firefox to see whether it lists the unwanted page. To do that:
right-click the icon > Properties > Shortcut tab
For 64-bit Windows 7, the Target should be no more and no less than this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
(3) Possible undisclosed bundle items. If you have installed any free software recently, check your Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a program for surprises. If you click the "Installed on" column head to group by date, it is easier to spot bundled junk. Remove everything suspicious or unrecognized.
(4) Supplemental clean up scans. Our support article lists tools other Firefox users have found helpful: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]].
Hopefully that cures it.

I have a requirement where in I have to display the employee wise leave details for a particular month data passed as parameter to be displayed will be some thing like below
per_all_people_f.employee_name, per_absence_attendances.date_start, per_absence_attendances.date_end, per_absence_attendance_types.name, '01-JAN-2012','02-JAN-2012','03-JAN-2012','04-JAN-2012',..........,'31-JAN-2012'
Test_employee, 02-JAN-2012, 04-JAN-2012, sick leave, N,Y,Y,Y,N,N,N,,,,,,,,,,NSo if the parameter passed is JAN-2012 and the employee has taken leave from 02-JAN-2012 to 04-JAN-2012 the values will be Y otherwise it will be N, Similarly if the passed month is FEB-2012 so the columns will be as below
per_all_people_f.employee_name, per_absence_attendances.date_start, per_absence_attendances.date_end, per_absence_attendance_types.name,'01-FEB-2012','02-FEB-2012',.......,'28-FEB-2012'The last date columns should be dynamic

I hope this answers your question.
If not, post your best attempt, along with a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all the tables involved, and the results you want from that data. Sinmplify the problem. For example, even though you're interested in all days of the month, post a problem that only involves, say, days after the 26th of the month. We'll help you find a solution that works for all days.
In the case of a DML operation (such as INSERT) the sample data should show what the tables are like before the DML, and the results will be the contents of the changed table(s) after the DML.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
Always say what version of Oracle you're using (e.g. 11.2.0.2.0). This is always important, but even more so with pivots.

Login window won't display list of users

I had 2 users, my main admin account and the default "guest".
And it bugged me that each time I restarted the Macbook Air, unlike with my previous Macbooks or with my iMac, I didn't see a list of users to choose (and then enter password) but just a "name" and "password" fields.
This appeared all of a sudden after an OS X update a few months ago. At first I thought it was a new thing... sorry I really can't remember WHICH update. But I know it wasn't like that when I bought the Macbook Air last January, and it appeared suddenly after a restart.
At the time I panicked since I didn't remember right away what the heck my user name was. It's not like I use it regularly! Thankfully I remembered. And forgot all about it until the next reboot.
And I finally decided to look into it, and realized it's a simple setting I should be able to change.
But I can't!
My settings were already set to "display a list of users" and NOT to "name and password".
To make sure, I created a new "test" user (which I should've done as soon as I got the MBA anyways).
I also tried selecting "name and password" option... hoping there was a mixup somewhere and the options were "cross-wired" somehow (ok, I didn't really believe it would work).
And putting the option back to "users list".
logging off inbetween each change.
I shut the MBA off completely too.
But nothing works.
I still only get the name and password fields.
My settings say one thing, reality shows another.
It's a minor thing. But it bugs me big time.

Triple-click anywhere in the line below to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:

Paste into the Terminal window (command-V).
A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. Post the contents of that window, if any — the text, please, not a screenshot.
If nothing appears in the TextEdit window, post the contents of the Terminal window.

New Safari Window won't display

I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard at my work computer (they don't allow Lion yet). I ran the updates which upgraded Safari to 5.1. However, now I can't open a new window. It shows in the window menu that they are open, but they won't display, and I can't get them to. If I hit Command-L it will highlight the url field, but won't allow me to type anything. I've tried going back to Safari 5.0, uninstalled all extensions, deleted cache, reset everything etc. I now don't have any of my work-specific bookmarks and an unusable browser. I've deleted preference files, cache files, etc. It starts like normal, but if I close the window, or open a new window, it is locked up. Is there any way to fix this?

Anti virus software installed?
Does the same thing happen in another user account?
How about third party plugins?
