Prefixes: Landcode and Area code necessary? (NL)
Hi,
I bought an onlinenumber, I tried and tried, but a woman on the phone told me over and and over again it didn't exist. So I added the land code (031 for Netherlands) and the area code (317) for its region. It still didn't work.
Finally I replaced the leading 0 to a plus sign +
so the number became: +31 317 xxxxxx
Why is this necessary? I wouldn't put my online on my business card! Everyone would complain i'm not available because al my local people don't put in the extra prefixes when they're calling me.
So is there a way to not have to put these unnessary numbers in front?
(There is no telephone number for customer support? Only live online support for payers? What a deep shame...) I'm sorry but i'm not a happy customer anymore...

When dialing from Skype, all telephone numbers must be in the international format as you discovered. When you post that number on a business card or on letterhead, it is up to you what format you decide to use for displaying the number. In places where there are difference in dialing numbers like dropping the leading zero from domestic area codes, or additional digits to reach mobile numbers (this is the case in some places like Mexico and Argentina), you could display numbers like:
Telephone: (0317) xxx-xxxx (NL or Netherlands) / +31 317 xxx-xxxx (International)
for your number.

My iphone does not recognize saved contact number while having incoming calls due to country and area code as auto prefix. How do i fix the problem. How do i ensure that the phone recognize calls with and without the country and area code. Please text to help.
1) Open the Phone and dial *228. This is a Verizon over-the-air programming number.
2) When the system answer press 1 for "Program or activate your phone"
3) Wait for the call to disconnect. You should get a prompt stating something like, "Settings updated."
4) Open the Task Manager and kill the Phone, Message, and Contacts Applications
5) Wait a few minutes (I waited 3 just to be extra safe)
6) Open the Message App to verify the fix -
Hi There,
Does anyone know how I get voice dialing to allow me to include the area code when I ask it to call a phone number? It currently only allows me to specify 7 digits instead of 10. I have set up my area code via the Call Log options and the number of digits for National numbers is set to 10.
If you cannot configure it to allow 10 digits, is there any way to configure it to automatically include a default area code when you specify a phone number by saying the digits?
Thanks.Hi Rob,
Thanks for your input. I actually do exactly the same thing as you described. However, my question was more for those instances when you don't currently have an entry in your Blackberry for the number you want to call using voice dialing and have to specify the number by saying the digits that comprise the desired phone number.
Thanks. -
Zipcodes and area code and state name

to all, when am hireing a person in the addressinfotype(0006) in that it is asking areacode where i can find the area code and statename and zipcode.ZIP Codes have to be configured in Table T5UZC. A range can be entered. The range of ZIP Codes used in each state can be determined at the following URL, but not all services are free. The URL is: http://www.maponics.com/
If you have the other elements of the address and need the ZIP Code, use the following URL to find it. The URL is: http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp

UCCX 7 outbound dialing, problem with area codes
Hello all,
I'm just testing the outbound dialing feature in a lab, and have run into the following problem:
I have following:
outbound configuration:
general:
Customer dialing time: start (9:00) end (21:00)
dialing prefix - 9
international prefix - 00
Local Area Code: 44
Area Codes:
44 -> Europe/London
34 -> Europe/Madrid
86 -> GMT-10 (for testing purposes, does not correspond to real China time).
Then, I upload a .CSV file into a campaign with the following information:
Jane,Smith,00447111113007
Jacky,Chan,0086611115002
Juan,Pablo,0034611114001
The dialing works, the agent receives the call, accepts it, and then the call is made.
if anyone is interested, although it has nothing to do with the question itself, the calls are translated to other extension on CUCM to be able to make a call.
The problem is that, they are all treated as in the same AREA CODE, although I have clearly defined area codes for each of those countries.
when the call appears it shows on the CAD as BAAreaCode: +00060
Therefore the calls are made through to China even when it's midnight there!!!???
I know I must be doing something wrong, but I don't know what?
Many thanks for your help,
Cheers,Hi Aaron,
Sorry for being so late to answer you. But I've done quite a few tests last weekend and have couple traces as well.
Apparently, the first time I added area codes, I did something incorrect, although I do not know what exactly, because now I've added area codes and it partially worked.
Area code: 4420 - Europe/London with Daylight saving
Area code: 3498 - Europe/Madrid with Daylight saving
Area code: 8661 - GMT/+7 NO Daylight saving
The first two Area codes (Spain and London) were correctly identified, In traces I could even see:
this one is for Spain:

I am unable to change my credit card number because my apple profile shows me as a resident of the United States, although I live in Switzerland. Consequently I cannot edit my area code, zip number, State info, etc. Please advise me how to do it. Many thanks.
Hello Luis,
To update your billing information, you would need to change your iTunes Store country to be able to enter the information for Switzerland. I found an article with the steps to update this:
Change your iTunes Store country
Sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you'd like to use. Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
Follow the onscreen process to change your region, agree to the terms and conditions for the region if necessary, and then change your billing information.
You can find the full article here:

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

About a week ago I started getting phone calls on my cell phone from numbers that do not exist, including the area codes. I can not report these to the Do Not Call list because the area code is non existent. I'm getting these calls all the time now and never from the same number twice so there's no point in blocking them. If I answer I may or may not get a person who has an accent from India so heavy that I can't understand what they are saying. This is getting to the point where I just want to cry I'm so frustrated. Anyone else having this issue or does anyone know how to stop it?
Thank youI'm sorry that you are having all these troubles. I have sent you a private message.

How to find out what are the interfaces used for Job and Job Codes
HI All,
I just wanted to know how do we find out what are the interfaces used for Job and Job codes .
Thanks In Advance
SunnyHi,
Here is an idea for your request.
Basically you can create a simple query on multiprovider 0TCT_MC01.
Filter: you can use a variable for restriction of time ( calday, or calmonth) since you should be interested for a time period.
Choose following characters into your objects:
InfoProvider ( 0TCTIFPROV ) - you can create a variable for choosing infoprovider before query runs.
*Tp.[Type of BI Application Object] 0TCTBISOTYP = filter this with 'QUERY' or whatever your need is.
*BI Application Object 0TCTBISBOBJ, ( this will give you the name of the queries)
In key figures choose, Count for BI Appl. (0TCTWTCOUNT).
(number for query run)
Create a condition , for top 20.
Hope this helps.

For the new iPhone 5s - is there not an option anymore to edit imessages without deleting the whole stream? There are some things I need to keep within a stream and some not necessary, and it looks as like no editing within a conversation?
Now I also know about pulling the message to the left to see the time stamp. Good to know, although I preferred it being right where I could see it without having to do a swipe or keystroke.
-
my phone saves the same number twice, once with a 1 before the area code and one without it. It causes two different threads in my texts even of they're saved as the same contact
My wife is having the same problems as a reciever. She works in a school as a teaching assistant and her teacher sends messages that are mixed with previous texts from ages ago.
Can anyone shed some light on this problem or is it only her and this poster?

Easy Cost Planning in a currency other than Cont Area and comp code curren
Hi,
I want to do the easy cost planning in a currency which is other than controlling area and company code currency.
But I am getting the option of only these two currencies only.
Any idea how to do it?
Example:
Controlling Area currency :INR
Company Code Currency : AED
Planning Currency to be used for Easy Cost Planning :USD
Regards,
B P SinghHello,
You may try to go to transaction CT04 - Characteristics. There in tab BASIC DATA you choose Data Type - Currency Format. In field Currency enter the required currency. Save the characteristic.
Next step is to go to CKCM - Models for Easy Cost Planning. Open the Costing model and add line with the created characteristic.

When I add numbers or search from Google maps all phone numbers are coming up 1 + area code and phone number. Is there a way to turn off the "1+" and just have area code and phone number?
In areas that have more than one area code for the same geographic area, 10 digit dialing with area code is mandatory. 1+ dialing is required from land lines, but the 1+ is optional from mobile phones.
"What is an Area Code Overlay?
An overlay is the addition of another area code to the same geographic region as an existing area code. An overlay does not require customers to change their existing area code.
What Will be the New Dialing Procedure?
To complete calls from a landline phone, the new dialing procedure requires callers to dial 1 + area code + telephone number. This means that all calls in the 310 area code that are currently dialed with seven digits will need to be dialed using 1+ area code + telephone number.
To complete calls from a cellular or mobile phone, callers may dial the area code + telephone number or 1 + area code and telephone number whenever placing a call from a phone number with an overlay area code."
Since it doesn't matter using a mobile phone, I guess the databases have included the 1+ for completeness and all users (mobile and land line) can be accommodated. -
