Preflight icon like Links icon

Hi!
Since preflight work on a regular basis in the background it would have been nice to preflight status was indicated by facility.
As a result, the mock-ups I could immediately see the faults such as incorrect colors, image scaling beyond the norm resolution.
I leave for discussion.

Then, yes, you can. The main part of the "reflection" is just a portion of a circle overlaid on the image with a white gradient. If you put that shape over almost any image, you'll get something really close to the look you're going for. I've uploaded a doc to iWork.com that you can deconstruct to see how it's done. I have a pornographic search title in the banner at he op of the page just below the bookmarks shortcuts icons. It appears when that part of the screen drops down a bit when the on screen keyboard opens up. Its a spam like link that won't go away.

I have a pornographic search line on the top banner of Safari just under the bookmark icons that appears whenever I open up the onscreen keyboard and the top drops down a bit. Don't know where it came from the iPad is only one day old brand-new. I've tried getting rid of this by resetting the entire iPad but that didn't work. The link if I click it opens up a Google page listing links to see videos. Need to know if there's any way to make this thing go away permanently.

You saved it on the bookmark bar. Hit bookmarks, bookmark bar, edit, then hit the minus to delete it.

Any ideas on getting facebook 'like' links working in SMS and MMS? A few issues Apple might fix please?

I work in a Mobile Marketing company where clients use our bulk SMS / MMS messaging service in Australia. A few things I've noticed where iPhones are falling short in comparison to the competition in RECEIVING messages (and I hope are fixed because I'm an apple fan) - a few inconsistencies:
* Facebook links eg "Like us at http://m.facebook.com/example"... Last night the link worked on my iphone when I sent it from our platform to my handset. (4s Firmware 3.4.03, Version 6.1.3, Telstra) It took me to the page on safari, and even earlier this morning it did - yet now it won't (and I haven't made any changes). I have tried restarting, (soft and firm reboot) as well as ensuring I'm logged in - or out on another page. The link does work on computer as well as on my collegues (4s 6.1.3, Firmware 3.4.03 Vodafone au 14.1) and it IS working there - but not sure for how long (considering it was working on mine earlier too) FYI It also works on 9 differnt android versions of handsets in the office here too.
* occasionally this happens with shortened links too (like a shortened google map link). There seems to be no pattern to the issue.
* When clients send MMS through our platform, the delivery on the iPhones is inconsistent. eg, the client can send WMV / GIF / JPG with a Title, Header and Footer message. The artrwork should fall in the middle of the header and footer. However another inconsitency - sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't. I can't see any pattern of it as the layout changes intermittently (from minute to minute). This particular issue is limited to iPhones on software 6 versions.
* In a message, when the LAST WORD in SMS / MMS is a 'link; - like web address or phone number to call, OCCASIONALLY it does not come up as a link (therefore recipient is unlikely to type it out to get to it). Again, no pattern, just 'sometimes' does this happen. Have tried putting a space after it, that doesn't work. Only if another word is put after it will it always work.
* Got feedback yesterday that NO LINKS in message (landlines, mobiles, web address) were working on iphone 5. Not sure if this is a constant or another inconsistent link?
Anyway, I'd really like our clients to be able to use a "like us on facebook" link in their messaging with success... could Apple please look into solving these inconsistencies?

You are not addressing Apple here. We are users like yourself.
The only thing I could think of in regards to this issue since it has worked on some occassions and not others is what if you deleted cookies and history from Safari. Does that make it work again? While SMS/MMS are a carrier function, I also know that some texts from different phones to the iPhone can produce strange results if the other device is using some type of font that is not supported by the iPhone. If you search the forum, you might find something related to that if you search for "strange characters in SMS" or something similar.
When you produce these bulk SMS, do you write just the link, or do you write the HTML code in the SMS?

quick question: I have an img displayed by my bean as:
"<a><img src=\"images/delete22.png\" onclick=\"openStrutsLayoutPopup('popup');return false;\"></a>";the button works ok and does its work, except one minor issue: when the user place the mouse over the delete img, the arrow doesn't turn into a 'click hand'. does anyone know how to force the arrow to turn into a hand (just like when you place the mouse arrow on a hyper-link)

.swf after insert in DW acts like link

I just upgraded while working on a site and pulled everything
into upgraded software and now the flash inserts in my dream-weaver
page look and act like a link but are going nowhere. there's a line
around them all until click and then it goes away. Anyone else had
problems with this and would you know how to eliminate this issue?

How to make a similar panel like Links in InDesign (Problems in UnDo case of DocObserver).

I want to implement the similar operation as that of the Links panel Plugin.
Whenever a new image is placed on the document its should populate in the tree. And when it is deleted it should disappear.
I am able to do that by using a DocObserver, but the issue is that in when an object is placed on the document it populates on the tree but when Ctrl+Z is done it does not get disappear from the tree though it diappears from the document.
Similar is the case for the deletion of any image frame, when deleted it disappers from the tree but when it is undone it though come back on the document but does not appear on the tree view.
The code was working fine in CS2 as i was able to use the case

(theChange == RemoveFromHierarchyCmdBoss || theChange == kAddToHierarchyCmdBoss )) in the update but in CS3 there is no UnDo support for coading so I am unable to trap that event in the update and remove the object from the tree.
But positively there would be some way to implement the required operation as it is done for the Links panel.

As you know, linking and unlinking of images are performed by the
kAddLinkCmdBoss and the
kRemoveLinksCmdBoss respectivley. These are most likely broadcasting the change on the
kDocBoss on the
IID_ILINKSMANAGER protocol. If you attach an observer to listen to this protocol you should be notified correctly, even during undo.

Why do Facebook External 'Like' Links not connect properly in Firefox but are ok in Internet Explorer?

You may of noticed the "new" 'like' pages spreading wildly across facebook. You know the ones that go to a website like: mylikebook.com, bawaal.in and many others.
WELL i can't for the life of me get it to actually LIKE the pages.
I click the 'like' button.
A popup window appears and loads an address.
The page changes from 34,000 people to YOU & 34,000 people
the popup closes..
the page changes BACK to just 34,000 people
the popup reloads...
it does it al again...
and again
and again
and will keep doing it until i close the page...
BUT it doesnt add the page to my LIKES

Named anchor like link in textfield

I'm trying to get links in a textfield that link to
paragraphs in that textfield. The same as you would do in html
using named anchors.
For now I've an asfunction href in the text that searches the
textfields text for a certain substring using indexOf. This gives
me a position index of that substring in the text.
Then I use a search for "\r" to get the number of lines
before the position index is reached. I then use this number of
lines value as a scroll value for the textfield. This works but
since the textfield is textwrapped I never get the correct amount
of lines, because the textfield actually has more lines than it has
"\r" linebreaks.
Does anybody have an idea how to solve this issue?

Instead of inserting an tag and style it so it looks
right. Then replace the z with a when you save it.

Best way to Restore Database to create a new Database having different dependent objects like linked server names in the procedures

Am creating a new test server by cloning the production server. Creating Dbs by restoring the production backup but wondering is there any best way to update the linked server names in open query of few SPs other than manual checking and updating.

It will not update the stored procedure rather it generates the scripts. You can validate and execute the script later.

Looking for a script like Link Optimiser

I'm looking, very unsuccessfully, for a script that will Resize all the images in my document to 100% - this script also had the option to open the image in photoshop and sharpen it.
I had it a few years ago but can't seem to find it now. Any ideas?

I have one in development...opens the image in photoshop with the crop from ID. (does not sharpen or save)

Windows Vista network Icon, next to the little speaker Icon vanished on me.

No is hasn't been figured out by anyone yet. I've done everything that the experts had to offer. Nothing has worked yet. I've put the operating system in twice. It was there than vanished again. Not worth it a third time. I just can't figure this one out.
This last time it vanished when I rebuilt the index. I can't open the properties in the local area connection. Untill I discovered the hidden Adminitrator Account. I can open the properties with that account, Not with the other. But no network icon anywhere...!!!
That little icon has been driving me nuts. One of you out there will find it. It can't hide forever...!!!

Im using Dreamweaver 8, and I was wondering if there is a
tool that allows me to insert a small little icon next to an
internet browsers web address (ex: the little "Y!" to the left of
the address bar, or better yet, the little macromedia "m" on this

Does it look like "linked chains"? If so, you are connected to a HotSpot such as provided by an iPhone.

It does not appear possible to either open all of the (or selected) links on a page in tabs nor print all of the pages in tabs (like a book).

In applications that use a browser control or open web pages, there are frequently (nearly always) mechanisms to open multiple links on a page in tabs, print all (or selected) tabs, or print all linked pages (the latter is pretty much universal as an OS call). Additionally, like Links (in IE) or Bookmarks (in Mozilla) can be 'named', so can 'tabs'. Some editors (and applications) permit tabs to be 'named'. As I recall, in an editing mode, Netscape used to do this, just like you could edit a page. For authors and researchers, this would be invaluable primarily because neither are frequented by earnings capable of affording those spendy apps like Adobe or Corel that do that, because programmatically it is reasonably simple to maintain an association of symbolic links, and that Mozilla could immediately become the browser of choice as IE can do nothing of the sort (well, may be new IE can).

If you need to open a local SWF file you will need the standalone player (Projector) from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Note that the download is the player, not an installer, so you will need to make the file association manually.

Long list of links

I'm writing a site that has a long list of links.(approx 150)
They are
broadly in 3 categories. What is the best way to display
these without
too much scrolling etc. Currently I have the major links as
icons
surrounding an Iframe containing the rest of the links.
I had thought about dropdown lists, and collapsible lists,
but I wounder
if there is any other way to achieve this. I would prefer not
to have to
use javascript, and my hosting package does not have any
inbuilt
database support.
Hope this makes sense.

If it were me, I would probably just create a main page
linking to 3 pages
for the 3 categories, and simply list the links on each page,
with a little
set of navigation links on each page, something like:
LINKS MAIN PAGE | CATEGORY 1 | CATEGORY 2 | CATEGORY 3
I'm kind of Amish about these things, but I think most users
much prefer a
straightforward HTML interface than iframes, etc.
