Preflight Panel. Could this be DONE?

Hello.
I'm fairly new with creating custom panel for Photoshop CS4/CS5 and I'm just wondering if creating a mini Preflight panel that reports details about an active document is possible. Similar to the screenshot below.

With Configurator you can do it but configuring a "script button" ( through your own script)
but it will display data only when you click the button
If you want a panel as shown in the image you should use SDK and FlashBuilder:

I run Netflix on my ATV. I am interested in setting up the automatic play for episodes. Could this be done? And if so, how?

When I run Netflix or Hulu in my PS3, I can enable automatic episode play, which is great when I am cooking or cleaning, and my 4 year old is watching a show. However, upstairs I run Netflix and Hulu via the Apple TV. Hulu allows for automatic episode play but Netflix doesn't. Is this something I can control via the ATV, or is this an issue with Netflix? Any info will be apreciated!

Firefox updated me 3 times in 10 days. each time i can no longer access my emails nor can i change the password. only through the techs end could this be done. it has happened again . what's up?

The "Photos" view has been replaced by the Media Browser.
Most applications will show you the Photos icon in the Sidebar, when you need to select photos in a file chooser dialoge. Mail, Safari, the iWork apps. See Terence Devlin's User Tip: How to Access Files in iPhoto
For example, in the File > Open dialogue in Preview I am seeing this in the sidebar.

If you're referring to desktop icons, right click on the desktop > Show view options > check "show item information".

I don't know about the first letter cap but the spelling is simple. Edit - Spelling and Grammar - Select While Typing and Correct Spelling Automatically.

In the lefthand sidebar of Finder, under 'Shared', I encounter in addition my TC, another computer, identified by a long name starting with 'hp'. I don't have another computer. What could this be? And how to get rid of it?

In the Finder sidebar, under 'Shared', I encounter my TC, as well as another item with a long name starting with 'hp'. 'Get info' shows it to be a 'PC'. However, I don't have a PC. It cannot be my printer (HP), since that has anoter name.
I can not access the item, which has me a 'guest'.
What could this item be? And how to get rid of it?

It's almost certainly your hp printer and is showing the WiFi adapter MAC address after the HP.
To verify, look at the printer configuration page via Bonjour in Safari. The settings tab shows the Mac address in the bottom left hand corner for my model of HP printer.
I'm sorry but I can't explain why that would show up in the finder.

It is quite common for the program size listings to be wrong. To check the actual size of the Firefox installation, you can manually check the size of the Firefox [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installation_directory installation directory]. It is is typically around 26-30Mb, and the default location on 32 bit Windows is C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
There are also a couple of other locations where Firefox stores data, check the size of the following folders as well.
Firefox also stores user data such as bookmarks and passwords in the [[profiles|profile folder]]. It should be inside this folder C:\Users\''username''\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
Firefox stores temporary files in the cache. To find the location of the cache, type '''about:cache''' into the location bar. It should be inside this folder C:\Users\''username''\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
The last 2 folders are normally hidden, you may need to set Vista to [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial130.html show hidden files and folders].

I do not believe this. I have been going nuts trying everything as in prior posts, and this has been a problem for users at least since 2010. I had this problem a long time ago and didn't pay too much attention to it because it was my iPad, and I depended on my BB a a base calander to feed Outlook. I became very concerned within the past week when I switched my BB to iPhone 5s, and was carrying both because I still needed to carry the BB for new calander enteries to sync up to Outlook 2007.
I had followed http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 and delete the apple s/w and re-installed. But according to the previous post, it appears that the issue was in the data - which was not deleted during all these deinstalls nor overridden with the new installs.
I am a XP user, so my files are in documents and settings/(username) both application data and \local settings\application data, but I also have safari and quicktime installed as well and didn't want to just blow entire high level folders if I didn't have to.
So I followed http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 then purged several apple folders in my windows profile and this definitely blew apple computer\preferences away. What I did was a little clumbsy, and desperate, but it worked. I am finally back in business.
However, I would like to see someone fine tune this and determine if it was just the preferences folder that needed to be deleted so that iTunes needed to rebuild it, or if there were other filoes that were apparently corrupted away, just to get this to the minimum number of steps to fix the issue.
BUT THANKS - This has been the most HELPFUL thread to get me syncing agai!!!!

FYI, your iPad will charge much faster if you plug it directly into an electrical outlet.
When doing the reset, as Jackkcc suggests, make sure you let go of both buttons fairly promptly after the apple image appears, then wait another 10 seconds or so for the iPad to start up. Note that a reset does not alter any data or settings.

What software do you own? Give details, please.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.
It's not something you can learn in a forum, question by question. Teaching someone Photoshop from scratch exceeds the scope of this or any other forum.
The process involves isolating your face, by selecting it and deleting the unwanted parts around your face or with layer masks, then placing it as a new layer on top of your target image, making sure it's the right size, color, lighting, etc. Google for tutorials on any of those elements you are unfamiliar with,

InDesign CS5 crashing when preflight panel is turned on

I was working on CS5 file (originally created in CS3) and saved it without a problem. The next day I tried opening it, but was ID was crashing all the time. The file has 132 pages and around 450 linked files (TIFFs and EPSs). I managed to open it when I switched off the "Live Preflight" and could work with it, but of course I couldn't package the files - everything just froze, so I had to terminate ID in the Task Manager palette.
When I was again able to open the file, I exported it to the .idml and then tried re-opening in CS5, but after 45 minutes of processing I gave up. I decided to copy all the pages to a new document, but now I cannot open the file even though the "Live Preflight" is turned off. The ID just crashes every time. I thought it was because of my hardware (3 GB of ram, Core2Duo processor), so I tried opening it on a brand new i7 / 16 GB of RAM, but ID crashed on that machine as well. This is very frustrating, since I am on a deadline due in two days and have no idea what to do anymore.

It sounds highly likely that the file has become corrupted. I see you tried to export an IDML. Copy the original file and all linked images to machine with the most memory. Restart the computer, and try again. Give it plenty of time to work and don't quit out. You have a lot of images.

TS1398 Very weak WIFI on my new iPad MD511LL. Tried Apple suggestion, but they didn't work. Signal is variable from zero to two - never shows three 'bars' even on stronger wifi system. Could this unit be defective?

Just bought it last week. Have synced it with my main computer. It gets WIFI most of the time, but the signal never goes above two bars (curves) even when I'm in a strong WIFI area. Rest of the time it varies between zero bars (no service) to two bars - slow, slow, slow.
Already did the recommended shutdown and the WIFI on and off suggestions made by Apple. Already compared to other equipment, which receive a solid, strong three bars at all the same locations. Since this is the WIFI only model,quite alarmed at the problem. I need the WIFI to be able to pick up the signals better.
Could this be an antenna problem?? Behaves this way even when not in any case.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Well, I really would love the new unreleased mac pro however , I'm not sure of the expected cost , Everyone speculates from $3,000 to $8,000, in which I may have to wait a while to purchase.
To the point .... I want fully functional thunderbolt ports to be on the current mac pro's .... wonder if anyone had workarounds yet?... or could I chain the the current mac pro to a mac mini to make that happen?
