Preliminary Page

Client was on 8.8 PL 18 and the Preliminary Page was configured to not show up when running reports, Print preview.
After upgrading to 8.81 PL 04 these pages are showing up again.  Also noticed that under Layout Designer, Choose Document Type drop down there is a new Preliminary Page u2013 Selection Criteria but there are no layouts associated with this layout.
There is the Pre Page Accounting, Banking, Fin, Inv and Tax like before.  Those codes start with PPAC, PPFI, etc...  The New PP Selection Criteria starts with SCPP.
I have worked to remove the Prelim off the other Choose Document Types, but not having a layout for PP Selection Criteria makes me think that is where the issue is. How do I add the layout?  I looked through Report and Layout manager
and Duplicate Layout Template.
Thoughts?

Craig,
Turning off the preliminary page is not available as an option.  Users have found a way around by directing the first page to a Dummy Printer.

  • Financial / Ageing Report Preliminary Page

    Hi Experts,
SAP prints a preliminary page when producing a few reports (ie P&L or Customer Statements).
Is it possible to switch this option off?
    Thanks

    Hi,
In the current system it is not possible to prevent "Preliminary Page - Accounting" to be printed/ emailed.
As a workaround, please kindly refer to the following workaround:
    - Open Print Layout Designer, choose document type "Preliminary Page - Accounting"
    - Open the Layout Template, chooose all the fields and set them to be invisible.
    - Save the template as default one.
    - Now when print/ email, the preliminary page will be blank.
    Check if it helps.
    Kind Regards,
    Jitin

  • Batch Number Transactions report preliminary page

    Hi Everyone,
I am trying to print a delivery document with Batches. The system prints the Batch transaction report along with the packing list which is good.
However, I do not want the first page that says - Batch Number Transactions Report - Selection Criteria page to be printed as it is of no use. Is there a way, we can disable this preliminary page from printing?
    Appreciate your input on this.
    Thanks,

  • Sudden Display issues in Firefox from Dreamweaver-built pages

Hi, first time posting and a novice at Dreamweaver and web design so please bare with me.
I'm an IT administrator for a small charity company and they decided to ask me to build them a website, I bought Dreamweaver in University and had a small try with it but never really used it since.
Now I'm no web designer but I'm trying the best I can, I managed to make a few preliminary pages for use and found they displayed correctly in most browsers apart from IE and Opera.
But Suddenly today - after no editing or alterations since friday (and it displayed fine yesterday on tuesday), it started experiencing the same issues in Firefox this morning for no apparent reason. I assumed that it would be a problem with Firefox but when trying to sign up to Firefox help I meet an "Access Denied" page after clicking to sign up. Now I know there's no point in searching their forums for that issue because of course, how can someone complain they have the problem when the fact they can't get on the forums to post is what's preventing the post in the first place?
I googled both of those issues and turned up nothing, which led me here.
The "Access Denied" at signup issue is obviously not what I'm seeking for here though, but would like to know if anyone else has experienced the issue with the formatting suddenly displaying incorrectly in browsers when they worked fine before?
Like I said, I'm a complete novice at web design and dreamweaver so feel free to tell me the coding in the website is pants, I know it is but it does (did!) the job in most browsers.
Any help at all would be appreciated.
    Faultlessdark
    www.guidonsupportservices.org.uk
PS. For an ironic laugh - note the "This website is best displayed in Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome" at the bottom of the page

My advice, although negative, would be to stay clear unless you are confident and capable of using html and css. Dreamweaver won't do the job for you and you will be biting off more than you can chew.
Having said that I've made the necessary changes so that your page will work in all browers. Just copy the whole html code and css below, paste into a new Dreamweaver document and save to your site root folder.
Do not mix measurements i.e., width 43em, padding 15px etc. I would advise staying with px based measurements as measurements are critical to if the site works or not. I don't know what 43em + 15px makes but I do know what 170px + 15px makes. I have changed the width of the containers in your code to px.

    /* Tips for Elastic layouts
    1. Since the elastic layouts overall sizing is based on the user's default fonts size, they are more unpredictable. Used correctly, they are also more accessible for those that need larger fonts size since the line length remains proportionate.
    2. Sizing of divs in this layout are based on the 100% font size in the body element. If you decrease the text size overall by using a font-size: 80% on the body element or the #container, remember that the entire layout will downsize proportionately. You may want to increase the widths of the various divs to compensate for this.
    3. If font sizing is changed in differing amounts on each div instead of on the overall design (ie: #sidebar1 is given a 70% font size and #mainContent is given an 85% font size), this will proportionately change each of the divs overall size. You may want to adjust based on your final font sizing.

  • Suppress Printing of Selection Criteria page

    Hi Experts,
Long shot - is there any way to suppress the printing of the first page summarising the Selection Criteria on printing Management Reports etc?
    Thanks

You can set the preliminary page to a print layout, that is set (in Document Properties/Page Form / Printer ) to a non-printing printer.
(There are five preliminary page in the layout designer document type list.)

  • Design view not showing true design

I'm using Dreamweaver CS3, and have an issue with design
    view.
I was editing the content of a page in design view, applying
styles from my main.css, when the page I was working on suddenly
lost all its styles, including heading & paragraph styles, and
    placement of most div tags.
My header and the div tags inside that are still visible, as
is the side navigation, although the background image for the side
navigation is not. It seems to be all my editable regions that have
    decided not to show correctly.
I've checked other pages and templates based on the main.css,
and they all appear to have the same problem.
    The good news:
    1. The CSS Styles inspector on each page shows it is attached
to the main.css, but lists only three styles under that style
sheet, all of which are named 'td img'.
    2. The main.css itself looks fine. All my styles are still
    there.
    3. When I preview my site in a browser, it looks as it
should, so presumably it IS still attached to the style sheet, it's
just not showing properly when I'm working on it.
Any clues as to what's going on?
As I'm sure everyone says, this is kind of urgent, so any
help anyone can offer will be very gratefully received!
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
EDIT: I've been playing around with previewing the site in a
browser again, and have encountered another issue, which may be
related. I can preview a preliminary page, but all my links take me
to a 'this page cannot be found' error message. I was pretty sure
it wasn't doing this when I first encountered the problem with
design view, but I could be mistaken. Has something happened to the
internal links on my site, perhaps?

In the View menu go to Style Rendering. Make sure Display
    Styles is checked.

  • Sports Templates

Okay I would like your opinions on something I'm going to try. I'm building some new templates for sports fans, coaches, little league, soccor moms, etc. I'm building the templates, creating every color theme possible and packaging up a collection of fun extra images you can use in the pages. Please take a peek at my preliminary pages (MN Viking's colors of course) and tell me if this is something you or others might find useful.
I got the idea after seeing a high-school football site done with iWeb.
    http://web.mac.com/sboben/iWeb/TeamSpirit/

I was using iWork for awhile before I realized that it had installed some cool new fonts. Check out this site.

A nice scoreboard font would be Synchro LET if you have it!

  • Print Pick and Pack

We did an upgrade of SAP 2005 from Patch 29 to Patch 44 : now, a print format of pick and pack printing, how to disable it knowing that we need module "Pick and pack"?

    Dear Ms Perrez,
If you are refereing to a blank page (page de garde) printed before you actually have your actual print out. Please review note
966477 How to drop Preliminary Page when printing reports.
If you are refering to something different could you please be more specific.
    Thanks in advance

  • Basic html page will not display for my client!

I have built a new website for a client, and I have plonked
it in a folder on his server so that he can view it without it
being live, but when he views it from his office, the url (which is
correct) loads a page stating that the page could not be found. I
have loaded a preliminary design on a different server, and he can
see that. (Just to clarify, I have loaded it on his server because
his server will display php, my servers are windows and don't do
php, that's why it's a preliminary design on my server)
Everybody I have sent this url to can see the new site design
in the sub-folder, it even works on my iPhone, but none of his pc's
in his office can get to the page. Any ideas as to why? As a test,
the home page is currently very basic html, it simply says in h1
'Can you see this?' but still no joy.
There must be something he has on his system that stops his
network for accessing new files on his own website, but what?
    Thanks
    Mat

Could it be a Firewall issue?

  • New tab page shows multiple sites from the same domain

For example in the grid of sites it may show multiple pages from e.g. stackoverflow.com instead of just the single base domain stackoverflow.com (or alternatively the most used of the pages). Is there any way to limit each domain to a single page in the quick links tableau? In my opinion having multiple pages is not at all a navigational aid as sites generally provide their own internal navigation.

This allows you to group the tabs as well [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/new-tab-plus/ New Tab Plus] however it is preliminary.

  • Using SQL Transactions in a JSF page

    Hi,
I have got a problem implementing SQL Transactions into a JSF page.
    Here is my problem:
I have go an object named "database" which contains the connection and the necessary method to launch queries, connection,...
the database object is instantiated in the constructor of the page.
I will name as "the process", this :
database.connectTo(); //the instantiation of the connection
    database.connection.setAutoCommit(false);
    database.executeNonQuery("any insertion query");
    database.executeNonQuery("any insertion query2");
    database.executeNonQuery("any insertion query3");
    database.executeNonQuery("COMMIT");
(As you can see, it's just a preliminary test, the rollback is not tested yet)
If I put the entire process in a single method, everything works fine.
If I split the queries and the commit query, the commit is not launched because the connection of my object "database" is null. I mean by "splitting", the launch of the 3 insertion queries is in a method (of a button for example) and the launch of the commit query is in another method (another button).
It appears that the attribute connection is set to null after the launch of the three queries...
Moreover, nothing is inserted in the database (this logical since the commit is not launched).
    Has anyone a clue?

Your database transaction should not span two buttons. The two buttons will be called on separate requests -- that is, separate calls to the server -- and you'll have a database connection dangling out there, potentially locking other people out of certain tables/rows until the user clicks the right button.
Note also that there is a commit() method in the JDBC API.
You might want to spend some time studying some example applications.

  • How to create a Pages book template (w T.Box, table) for continuous text ?

I am new to Mac and have a body of Book text (200 pages) in MS Word done on a PC which I want to transfer to Pages for publishable quality.
My problem is that I want to be able to include images and drawings into the existing text and keep a column along the right of the template for quotes and paragraph headings.
I seemed to get this sorted some time ago at an Apple 1-1 tutorial at Bluewater which gave me a preliminary idea of how to do this ( thought I had cracked it!) using Format Advanced and Section Master Objects. However, in the doing of it, I have been unable to make it happen. I sense it's possible and just out of reach...!! Can Dennis or any others help me get this sorted please? Thanks

again: each frame has to be re-calculated.
    consider speeding-up render-processes by
    • a new, faster Mac
    • more RAM
    • purchase of Compressor, and use its 'virtual render-farm'-feature aka full-use of all cores of your Mac
    • even more Ram
    • clever 'distribution' of source files and project files onto fast (7200rpm/ fw800) external harddrives instead of one single intHDD for OS&working files
    • a lil' more Ram
    • play wit your kids while Mac's rendering …

  • Web Page Composer - GA when?

As the subject says - documentation says Q3, but does anyone have a more specific date?
We would like to bundle up the installation of WPC with SP12, but if WPC isn't available, we'll wait for SP13, which has WPC already bundled.
    Thanks.

Here's an update on the official starting date for the unrestricted shipment of Web Page Composer:
    - WPC will be delivered as separate add-on (SCA) based on NW 7.0 SPS13
    - Currently the delivery via Service Marketplace is planned for end of August / beginning of September
Please keep in mind that this is still preliminary information and there might be changes due to other dependancies.
    Best regards, Christopher
