Preloading of next webpages (in forums, search results...)

Hello all
I was wondering if it's possible to enable the "preloading" of next webpages when reading at forums or search results. I find this functionality which allows to just scroll down the page instead of clicking on the "next" button very convenient on the mac version of safari.

@potzki: No, your markup for sitemap seems fine. But like Ken said, the image is not available on the server. Also, do note that the sitemap is only an 'indicator' for Google and will help Google in understanding how your site is laid out - since it is you, the sitemaster, that creates the sitemap and pushes it to Google. But, it's not end of the road for Google. It will cache other areas of your site - unless you've explicitly told Google not to using robots.txt file.
One more observation - your domain name is like way tooooooo long - forget google, for regular people to type into. Is there a specific reason you chose this one rather than a short, concise one?

Signature corrupts forum search results

Using the _iWeb '08_ forum's +Search Forum+ bar to look for the string "hit counter", the second page of results is corrupted — apparently by a signature in what is currently entry 21. Forum search results have no titles?

I searched this forum and the search results have no titles, which means I can't click on them to see the posts.

I'm using Firefox on Windows 7, and sometimes search results have a clickable title/link to the post. But sometimes the results only have the author name, forum and date (not very helpful).
For example, searching for: page imposition CS5
Results show only name, forum, and date.
But if I search for: page imposition
I get post titles that I can click on.

Ability to jump to a particular set of Search Results same like google

Hi,
_Ability to jump to a specific set of Search Results_.
Currently we are able to show 10 records on screen at a time in the Search Results table. If we want to see the next 10 Records then there is a dropdown and on it we need to select the "more" option. Then next ten records will be displayed.
But now we dont need the "more" in the dropdown. We need to show 1-10 ,11-20, 21-30, 31-40....Or else we need to display the page numbers same like in Google or our forums search results page.
Directly we need to select the required range and directly jump there.
My current poplist is showing that 0-10, more. But i need +0-10,11-20,21-30,31-40,41-50, etc.,+
But we have 300 results in the table and we do not have the option of showing 0-10,10-20,20-30,30-40..
Simply it is showing 0-10, more. If we select more then it shows 10-20. we cannot jump to the required range (ex:30-40).

I have a couple things I would add as well:
"An option to link/ unlink ALL selected mask layers, instead of having to go down manually doing it on each masked layer." that wouldve saved me literally an hour at work today.
My request is to have a "liquify all" option where you can essentially easily batch all selected masks or layers and apply a saved mesh without having to do it manually.
As a person who professionally uses photoshop for 8 hrs a day every day this feature would save me an easy half hour on many files. It also would cut down on the "mistakes" we make by missing one random but essential mask.
One more suggestion is to enable "warp" in transform to work with the "transform again" command as it is the only one of the forms of transformations that does not allow it.

How to display the search result without reloading the whole page

HI,
I have separate fragments for Search Box to enter keyword and Search Result to display the result. Also I have different sections within the page to put these fragments. So how could I display the results without reloading the whole page.
Also if I have next button in my search result area, how could I display the search results in next page without reloading all other sections present in our page. Please let me know if any service or idoc function present such that result could be shown in search result section without reloading whole page.
Please let me know how to restrict page reload for every action within a page.

This is default behaviour of the template of your space. You can create a new page template and than you can create a region for the search results.
Or you can create a custom taskflow were you use the webcenter taskflows to search for the space.

Thumbnail images in Google's search results?? (Using Adobe Muse)

Hi there,
I've been hunting around a lot of pages (including webmaster tools) My question is simple, but the answers don't seem to be!
Does anyone have an easy and fast way, of adding a thumbnail that will show up next to a website search result in Google?
This is obviously a site designed and uploaded directly from Adobe Muse.

How to prevent images from loading with google search results?

Since I updated to FireFox 18 I have been getting images (miniature webpages) with my search results with Google. I thought it was a google problem but I don't have the problem in IE.
Please advise.

Search results relating to forums

Hello SDN,
I would like to suggest that the search results relating to the forum should be showed more like a tree, at this moment there is a display of the same topic , the same number of times people have responded to that, instead there could just one topic with + sign next to it or a down arrow.
In my opinion then one would be able to get the answer to the question quicker.

Google search result causing spry error on webpage

I have a webpage with some dynamically generated spry elements. The webpage seems to work as is should and generates no errors. However, when the page is accessed through a Google search the page generates the following error...
Caught exception in Spry.Data.Region.prototype.evaluateExpression() while evaluating: {ds_RowID} == {ds_CurrentRowID} Exception:SyntaxError: invalid object initializer
This error is being caused by Google generating malformed URL in its search results; like the following...
mywebpage.php?row={ds_RowID}
I suspect that this error is being caused because the link is being generated by JavaScript which Google is having difficulty interrupting. Is there a way that I can fix this and make Google interpret the link correctly?

OK I think that I have found the problem. On the first page of my website I have the following Spry element.

This is where Google must be picking up the link. My question now is how do I properly link the elements on my first page to correct Spry data elements the supporting page, so that the page keeps functioning like is now does.

Firefox 14.0.1 is NO longer showing the Norton SAfe Web icon in seacch results. The toolbar is there but NOT the safe web icon next to the URL in search results

After updating to Firefox 14.0.1 my search results NO longer show the Norton WEB Safe Icon next to each result. It worked fine before the upgrade. The Norton tool bar is there and when you click on the site the safe web report is there but NOT the icon in the search results.

Norton released updates for Firefox 14 early the same morning as the release of Firefox 14. Norton usually releases updates on the same morning as new Firefox versions. Have you updated Norton through their LiveUpdate?

I used to have AVG free antivirus software on my computer. I uninstalled it, but every time I open Firefox and do a search, it comes up with AVG Secure Search results. I have tried the about:config stuff from the forums, but it is to no avail.

Had AVG free version. After Firefox updated to the newest version, AVG Secure Search results are the default. I have researched the issue for the past 3 days and have tried every option available on forums, etc. Nothing seems to work. This is very annoying and I'm about ready to switch to google chrome.

I ended up finding a solution.....went to Firefox tab on top left of browser screen. Went to help, restart with add-ons disabled. This takes you to the Firefox Safe Mode text box. Select "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults. This seems to have worked, as there is no longer an AVG Secure Search directed screen. Also, I installed Avast. Have had it on my tower PC and another laptop for 2 years with no issue. Screw AVG!!!

Search results "next n" issue

I have a basic search results screen. I contains a few parameters and a search button. When I click the search button the results come back 25 at a time. The "Next N" group toggling is giving me some problems. When I do my initial query the first 25 records are returned. Then I click the "Next 25" link and it sends me to the last group of records. For my case I have a total of 201 records returned so it goes to the 201 record. After that, I click on the Next and Previous links to toggle through the data and they work just fine. For whatever reason it only gives me problem the first time I click the Next 25. Is this a known bug or is there a setting that I have failed to set? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I am new to OA Framework so I was suprised to even see it after I created the region with the region style of table. I did not make any changes to the code. Whatever was created by Jdev is what is there. I am assuming this is not a known bug then.

Having problems using search function on FM forum; no results ever found

I've done searches on topics that I know exist, but I never get any results. I never used to have this problem. Did something change?

fwiw, the forum search functionality (within forums as well as over all the forums) seems to be having issues over the last several weeks. I haven't had any search results for several weeks, tried 3x different browsers.

Error in search results on forums

Searching the Designer discussion forum for the word "extension" delivered several messages. In the search results the subjects and authors of these messages did not match. This seems a bug to me.

Do you mean this: you would select a bunch of links with your mouse, then right-click and choose something like "open all these links in new tabs"?
There are extensions like that. Here are a few examples, but since I don't use them myself, I don't recommend any particular one. You can check the reviews and try the one(s) that sounds good to you:
