Prem Pro CS3. Title screen resizes itself.

Each time I open the titling screen it will gradually enlarge the two left hand panels (a little each time I open it) eventually squeezing the right hand side properties panel (fonts etc) down to almost nothing.
I have to keep dragging things back to resize all the time very annoying.
Can anyone please tell me how to stop this annoying fault.
Thanks

Actually somebody presented a "fix" for this.
If I remember right, the "fix" was to put the tools-bin in the bottom of the Title-screen (but it could be somewhere else).
It was a long time ago, but maybe a search will bring up something.

  • Prem Pro cs3 causes windows 7/ 64 to become corrupt

Having installed prem pro cs3 in win 7/64, I get frequent crashes and eventually windows reports that windows explorer is unable to start. This means that win cannot start or if already running cannot access anything. Can only be cured by a new installation of windows.have repeated this process several times with Prem the only program installed. Might work ok for a few days then it starts all over again. Any ideas anyone? Hve tried restore and repair etc. No good.

  • Encore in Prem pro CS3

Have spent a while looking how to get encore to work in my downloaded trial copy of Prem pro CS3
    I have put in markers
when I go to export Encore is light greyed out and not in dark grey am I missing something??

I don't have the link handy, but the last time someone asked about this I went to the download page and then looked at the FAQ
There are SEVERAL steps to take to convert the PPro3 trial to real software... part of which is not just download "some codec stuff" but actually downloading AND installing Encore3 (and OnLocation?)
So... you need to download AND install more software, not just codecs

  • Screen resizing itself

When my computer comes out of sleep, the screen has resized itself slightly, either by leaving a small gap around the edge or growing or rotating slightly. Its annoying cos I have to go back to CP and change it all back.
Why is it doing this, and how do I stop it. Thanks

    robertcamb5,
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
Is it fair to assume the geometry also resets when you do a cold start from power-off? If the geomery you set isn't sticking on wake from sleep / startup, and doesn't return to normal after the screen degausing, another possibility is that the geometry settings you're making aren't being saved properly to parameter RAM (PRAM) which stores such settings when the computer is turned off.
If you're seeing anything else to suggest that the PRAM battery may be drained, you can easily replace the battery as described in eMac - Do-It-Yourself. The classic symptom of a bad PRAM battery is the date resetting to years before the current year (depending on the Mac model, that tell-tale date has been 1904, 1956, or 1970, and those are just the ones I recall off the top of my head).
i fthe only thing amiss is the screen geometry, I'd suggest resetting PRAM combined with System Preferencs> Display> Geometry tab. In the Geometry tab, click on 'factory defaults'. Don't make any adjusyments yet, instead, restart the computer. As soon as you restart, press and hold down command-option-p-r keys until you hear three sets of chimes, then release the keys and let the Mac start up. Back in the Geometry tab, click Factory Defaults again (this time there should be no change). Now make the changes you need to tweak the geomttry to your satisfaction.
Some tips: if you need to rotate the screen or adjust the pincushion or traapeziod adjustments, first use the width and height controls to shrink the screen in a half-inch or so. That gives you enough space to play with the other adjustments. When the display is straight, you can adjust the position to center it and then use the height/width controls to grow ot towards the physical display limits. A tip: don't go all the way out to the hardware limits. Leave 1/16 to 1/8 inch margin; I've found any CRT (Mac, SGI, or PC) is more stable long-term if you avoid the full limits.
When you have the display set to your liking, close System Preferences and then (key step) shut the computer down. This is more of a pre-OS X habit, but at least with earlier Macs there was a common observation that not all PRAM changes would always be saved across a resatrt, but that a shutdown and cold start did make the PRAM changes stick.
After waiting 30 seconds or so, do a cold start. If the display looks good now, you should be OK (I did that with my eMac three-plus years ago and it's been fine since). If the display still goes off, repeat the process, but instead of resettng PRAM, reset NVRAM / Open Firmware by restarting while holding down the command-option-o-f keys; at the "Welcome to Open Firmware" black text on a white screen type in the following commands and press return after each (case sensitive, no spaces):
    reset-nvram
    set-defaults
    reset-all
The Mac should restart after reset-all (if it doesn't, type mac-boot and press Return)

  • Strange problem between Prem Pro CS3 and Canon ZR950

I bought CS3 and a Canon ZR950 thinking they were compatible. I ended up having to install Firewire and using the special 4-pin to 6-pin cord. It almost works.
According to Windows XP the drivers for both the "Canon DV Camcorder" and the "Texas Instruments OHCI Complaint IEEE 1394 Host Controller" are working properly. The firewire works properly with other devices. When I place the camcorder in PLAY and insert the cable the computer recognizes it as a camcorder and gives me choices of programs to use - Premiere Pro, Windows Movie Maker, Vegas Movie Studio, and Media Import 8.
I've tried uninstalling the camcorder drivers and when reattached they self install again "correctly". If I use Windows Movie Maker I get a warning "An unknown error has occured" and it stops working. If I use Vegas Movie Studio 9 I get an eror message saying "Microsoft DV Camera and VCR" could not be opened. If I use Roxio Media Import 8 I can get it to start the camcorder screen replay but none of the other computer program controls work and it's doesn' save anything or show up on the computer screen.
The only one that gets to the next step is Premiere Pro. It will actually open and wait for input. When I select Capture the window opens but nothing works until I go to the Settings tab, Device Control, Options button. There I select NTCS, Canon, Standard, and Auto detect. There is no specific choice for the ZR950. It only goes up to Z70. I've tried various settings but it doesn't make any difference.
Here's the strange thing. Regardless of whether I change the options or not, even if I only open up the Options menu and close it again, the controls on my computer screen will now control the camera for playback, foward, reverse, stop but it will only show up on the camera screen, not on my computer screen. In addition, there is no capture going on. In other words, I can use my computer as a giant controller to watch my videos on my camera screen, but that's it.
I suspect there is something wrong with the settings on the camera, but haven't gotten any word back from Canon yet. Any suggestions you can offer here would be appreciated.

  • Prem Pro CS3 audio becomes intermittent after a while

This has been going on for a while and I have only now decided to do something about it:
While working on a project in PPCS3, after a while the audio starts to become intermittent. Its as though a buffer has become full and the audio data demand is more than the buffer can supply. I can't seem to find a way to Purge any buffer (if there is one). Are there settings I can adjust to prevent this?
My system is XP64 SP2 RAM 8GB Quad CPUs
    Scratch locations: C: 66GB.  J: 1.2TB
Re-starting PremPro solves the problem for a while and it then starts all over again.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks.

Yes, I'm planning on going to CS5.5 but I was hopeing to stay with my present XP64 OS set up, so any other suggestions would be appreciated. I'm not sure all of the AFX plug-ins that I use are happy with Win7

  • Keeping Prem Pro 2 and CS3 together.

I have just installed Prem Pro CS3, and await my Matrox RTX2 tools Ver3. In the meantime I would like to still use prem pro 2 with Matrox RTx2 tools Ver 2. Unfortunately, when I try to open Prem pro2 it fails to open beyond the initial flash screen for a second or two. Does anyone know how I can have both programs working on the same system?

Just in case anyone else is having this trouble - I've managed to solve it I think! - Install CS3, then just repair Prem Pro2. It seems to work.

  • Trial Première pro CS3 combined with Sony DHR-1000NP/No sound rendering the Première Project

    Dear friends,
I am a belgian and I have many years of good experience with Pinnacle DV500, Adobe Première 6.0 and the Sony DV Recorder DHR-1000NP.
As I want to make a further step, I downloaded the trial of Adobe Première Pro CS3; I installed this trial on 2 OTHER computers, Windows Professional XP , SP2. With both I have the same problem!
I get good .avi's from my DV tapes, played with the same Sony DV Recorder DHR-1000NP, over a fire wire, connected with the OHCI of the computer.
When playing the obtained Première project, the video and audio on the screen and the amplifier of the computer, are perfect; the videosignal over the firewire and the Sony DV Recorder DHR-1000NP is also perfect, but there is absolutely NO audiosignal reaching the Sony DV Recorder DHR-1000NP.
Who can explain me how I should manage that problem?
    Thank you for helping!
    With my best regards,
    Marc

    Beste Marc

  • How can I make title screens in either Illustrator or Photoshop and import them into Premiere Pro?

I'm having trouble finding the identical aspect ratio to import either an Illustrator or Photoshop title screen into Premiere Pro. There are so many ratios to choose from with Premiere Pro that I've about lost my mind. I was able to import Photoshop title screens into iMovie with no problem. I'll be importing the finished video into my YouTube channel. I want it to be widescreen but have no clue which ratio to use. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I always start with New Image in Photoshop, and then choose a Video Preset, that matches my PrPro Sequence. I use one with Guides. I usually choose to create that New Image with a Transparent Background.
Once complete, I just do a Save_As to PSD, which will be Imported into PrPro. If you have Ps Layers, you have two choices on Import: you can Import as Footage, which will Flatten your Layers, or you can Import as a Sequence to keep the Layers separate. Depending on what I will be doing, I might select one, or the other. If you Import as a Sequence, you can then animate each Layer individually.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Can animated titles created in Titlemotion imported into Premiere Pro CS3?

    Hi,
We are using Titlemotion Software(Standalone Version)for creating animated titles.
We would want to use these animations into Premiere Pro CS3.
We can save the animations made in Titlemotion as
    1) an FX-script,
    2) a targa sequence &
    3) a '.VIA' format.
'VIA' files created in Titlemotion do not get imported into Premiere Pro CS3, Premiere Pro informs that they are not supported.
Is there any way to import a .VIA file into Premiere Pro CS3?
    OR
Is there any work-around wherein animations created in Titlemotion Pro could be taken into Premiere Pro CS3?

Save as a targa sequence with an alpha channel.

  • Fade a title in Premiere Pro CS3

How can I fade a title in/or/out in Premiere Pro CS3???

Ann's Cross-dissolve will probably be exactly what you want, and is very simple too. If you want more control, you can also Keyframe the fixed Effect>Opacity to suit. Also, other Effects (say Gaussian Blur), can also be added. More work, with more potential and control.
Still think that Ann has nailed it.
    Good luck,

  • Premiere Pro CS3: How do I get rid of hundreds of short horizontal lines all over the screen?

I have taken over a high school computer lab. We have Premiere Pro CS3. The Premiere Window gets peppered with many hundreds of horizontal dashes that interfere with readability. The dashes are uniformly about 16 pixels long and two or three pixels thick. They seem random in how many appear at any time. If I resize the window, they diminish and then come back. Occasionally they are gone completely. They never appear outside of the Premiere window. These dashed lines do not appear with other programs. We use Photoshop, Illustrator, and many other programs with no problem.See the attached image.
The machines have Pentium(R) 4 2.80 ghz; 2 gigs ram; Nvidia graphics card Gforce 8400 GS.
I have never run across this behavior before. I would appreciate any help. Thanks,
    Geo Monley

Probably a bad video card - or a bad video driver.  First, try to reinstall the video driver.  If that doesn't work, replace the card.
