Premeire Elements 10: Unknown Error 2131042560: Burn to folder didn't work

I'm using Premeire Elements 10. I kept getting Unknown Error 2131042560 at the 99% point in the burn process. I tried burning my project to a folder and was successful. I then copied the folder onto a DVD, which was also successful. However, the resultant DVD won't play in my DVD player. How do I fix this?

Premiere Elements 9 : unknown error 2131042560

Burning my projects to DVD disk give me en error at 99% : unknown error 2131042560. The project did not fail. The disk is 100% burned. The program did not give me the OK button at the end. So I have to close the program by right clicking on the program icon in the tasks bar en selecting CLOSE program.

You are correct, that PrE 8 had several problems, that did not seem to get resolved.
However, the release of PrE 9 was right on the historic schedule of most previous versions. PrE is on a one-year cycle, while PrPro is on an 18-month schedule. As an aside, I had guessed on the release date of PrE 9, based on history, and turned out to be off by about 4 working days.
As for this issue, there also seems to be one in replacement images in Menu Sets not taking, in PrE 9. I would urge everyone, experiencing this issue to read this ARTICLE and then follow the link to file a Bug Report. There appear to be issues in the authoring modules in PrE.

Unknown error when burning disc

I get an unknown error when burning playlists to blank discs. My computer begins to write the discs, but stops after a song or two.

Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here.

Unknown Error While Burning DVD

I've had hit and miss issues burning DVDs from the timeline in PP CS2 in the past, usually resolved. This time, a consistant unknown error has come up at the same point in the burn process regardless of the project, duration or file type.
Since I will eventually install CS5 after my current project is complete, it isn't critical that I find a solution. I only use this feature to make test DVDs, but I am curios as to why this may be happening at the same point no matter what footage or project file I use. One thing I know, it isn't about basic system capabilities since I was able to burn projects, come back later (days or weeks later) without changing anything and not be able to burn the same project. This may be about cache, something taking up RAM or scratch disk size. Screen savers and all extra stuff have been turned off.

Unknown error when burning a cd

every time i try and burn a cd using tunes from my itunes library some time into the burn it gets cancelled and says unknown error occurred 4310. does anybody please know what this means

yep, same problem here... really annoying and sometimes i get "missing file" errors because of it and i have to show itunes where the file was saved again.
i really hope this is gonna be fixed soon! i'm a dj and i organize my collection with itunes, it's a must for me that it works properly!

Adobe Premier Elements 12 , Unknown errors when rendering or saving or making DVD's

We purchased this software in January and have had little success it getting it to work as the errors which appear have no details to work on. the most popular error is unknown error , error converting, error rendering project. But this does not tell us what to do to fix the problem, and the staff are losing confidence in the software.
We have made sure that the users have local Full admin rights to the PC's the software is on.
Also we have second drives installed so they can put all the photos and videos and music locally ready to make the film,
We have made sure that the program also caches locally so there's no network traffic issues.
We have tried using the project archive before and also changing footage speeds as some images are from Ipads, some from cameras etc which have different rates
Some films have been fixed by removing the transitions which the programs supplies for use but have caused it to crash, but also the title pages have caused problems.
When we make the projects we also tell everyone to check that the render line is green and check for gaps etc,
We need the software to be more user friendly as it does not explain what to do when these errors occur so we try everything we have in the past but this is crazy as its very time consuming and defeats the object of buying special software to make the job easier as they were using movie maker before . Please can you help as we are losing total confidence with the product.

I've update iOS devices to 8.0 and now need to update xCode, but keep getting "unknown error -50" leaving me with a non-working internet connection - the only fix seems to be reboot of both iMac and router - any ideas?

Having updated all my iOS devices to iOS 8.0 I now need to update xCode to match. I've tried several times, and on each occasion have received an "unknown error -50" message after getting about 500Mb. After this my internet connection appears to be fully occupied, and the only fix appears to be a reboot of both the iMac (2.5GHx Core i5, 4Gb RAMm OS X 10.9.5) and the router (Netgear DG834 v5, firmware 1.6.01.34) At first I thought that the error had not stopped the download, but after waiting for 30 minutes the connection was still unresponsive, though traffic was indicated as passing through but the router status page, and no additional content had been added to the download. Anyone else having a similar problem and different ideas as to fixing it?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Premier Elements 9 Unknown Error

I'm getting the error (2130969345) when trying to build/burn a DVD. Building to a folder works fine - but ImgBurn complains it cannot burn to DVD because of layer breaks.
I found one other reference to this error in the forum - said to try other brand of DVDs - which I did.
This does NOT happen with the Premier Elements 10 trial. Please tell me I don't have to upgrade to get the functionality I'm supposed to have in the one I bought.

Error during backup to DVD: Unknown Error when burning to disc (261)

I'm writing on behalf of my brother who has an HP Pavilion ZE2120CA laptop and is using the latest version of iTunes. We were backing up his purchased music onto DVD but just after it says "Burning Disc Initialized" the disc ejects from the drive and it says this cryptic error message. We also tried connecting an external Plextor drive via USB2 - same thing. Any suggestions, white papers or documents out there that'll help us? Also feel free to talk technical to us because I am A+ Certified and while my brother is an English major he also has an intimate knowledge of computers and has several programming courses under his belt.

Medium Write Error, cannot burn CD in iTunes (Toast works fine)

I have always used iTunes to burn my CDs. Today I keep getting a Medium Write Error. I tried buring the same playlist with Roxio Toast and worked fine. Then the error happened again on iTunes.
I have been using iTunes for years on this computer. Why would it suddenly give an error? The error happens while the disc is finalizing. There is nothing wrong with the drive, as evidenced by Toast writing fine. Is there any way to fix this or do I just need to use Toast from now on?

I'm having the same problem!! I've successfully burned 3 different CD's. Now I'm getting a 'burn cancel' unknown code. Very frustrating. All CD's are good, even new!

Have you tried connecting to another FTP server in Lightroom?
For example, if you get a free Flickr account, can you login to it and upload a file to it?
If you can't upload to any server, then you have a general FTP-in-Lr problem, but if problem is only with BC then, well, it's time to start scrutinizing the BC settings..

Sync continually fails with "Unknown error." Been happening recently (used to work). Anyone else having this problem?

Mac OS X 10.6.7, Firefox 4.0.1.
Sync Now from the menu likewise fails.
Attempting to get the sync quotas from the Preferences also comes back with a similar error.

To add a clarifying point in my case, which may or may not be universal for the others having this problem as well: it came within minutes of the update to 4.0.1, so it seems likely it has to do with the new version. OP said it used to work but started happening recently, so it could be the same cause as mine, given the recent release of the update, and OP's indication that 4.0.1 is also in use.

ITunes Error 13010 - Deleting Genius.itdb didn't work

So I just updated itunes to 10.5.2 and I have 2 libraries. One isn't working. I keep trying to delete the genius.itdb file and it just keeps reappearing. I reinstalled itunes numerous times, restarted the computer. It hasn't fixed the issue. Can someone help me.

is your signature correct? Mac OS X (10.6.8)? If you are running Lion or Mt. Lion, log off and on again, after quitting iTunes, before you remove the iTunes Library Genius.itdb file. Otherwise you cannot be sure, that iTunes really quits, and it may just recreate the file with the old content when you launch the program again.
