Premeire Elements 7.0 Video Card Error

I have created a movie using the program and most of it appeared fine while I was building it.  The "text overlay" I have running across the top however keeps kind of fading in & out.  The video appeared fine however.  I figured it was maybe a display problem on my monitor so I kept going.  After completion I burned it to dvd and now, not only does the text flicker & fade the video is all messed up too; flickering between what looks like a positive & negative image.
During building the bottom left corner showed the little yellow icon and upon clicking I got this message:
"Desktop Display Mode has been reset because the video card returned an error.  Please reset the Destop Display Mode in the Playback Settings dialog as this may impact your playback performance"
This message leaves me confused as where to go.
I have used the program before to build various movies and never encountered this issue/error before.
I'm pretty sure all the software on my computer is up to date as I always run the update programs.
I have searched the issue but only come up with a 3 year old post that lead to no answer.
Please help !

So Im wondering , if either of those items were actually the issue, would all my other movies be just fine...and also just to see; I starting to re-create the problem movie(bringing the raw video in and titling and so forth and so far it's fine.
Any other suggesstions ?
And if I have to re-create this entrie movie (thankfully its only 15 minutes) is there an efficient way to see what I did to my raw video (as far as cutting & clipping) so I could duplicate that easily ???

  • CS6 Premiere Pro video card error message

I do believe my CS6 programs WERE working, but...  When I try to load Premiere Pro, I get the error message about not finding a video card.  The suggestions and solutions (listed elsewhere on Adobe) have not worked:  run as administrator, install latest drivers, etc..  I have a Dell Inspiron 560, Windows 7, and an integrated video of Intel GMA X4500.  How can I get my Premiere Pro to load?  Do I need to install a video card (if so, what are the recommendations--ATI, Nvidia, etc..).  I started with CS5 and upgraded to CS6.  Thank you.

Ask in the Premiere forum for specifics. also make sure to run all updates. The 4500 was only supported in one of the point updates.

    Hi Louise,
The error isn't really about the video card, its the access violation,
the video card is simply Deski gathering environmental info at the time of this access violation,
It is the same one that Madhu is reporting.
    UNHANDLED EXCEPTION CODE : c0000005 DESCRIPTION: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
    Since you are probably watching this thread, I'll copy my reply to him here;
    Hi,
This is a very general error. It has to do with windows memory handling.
More important then the actual error is what caused it,
I've seen this in a number of situations:
    - very complex reports (a lot of variables/formulas, many dataproviders)
    - very big reports (a lot of data rows retrieved in the dataprovider(s))
    - corrupted reports (they might not open up at all).
So what you can do depends on the situation.
    - empty the dataproviders.
    - reduce complexity (get rid of unused formulas/variables, especially with older reports, they tend to stay even if they are not needed anymore).
    - set the view to structure before you make changes (if you save in this view, make a copy, since it is possible that the report won't allow you to put it back in normal view).
If you still cannot get the report to save, try saving it as a template.
Start with a new report, re-do the dataproviders and apply the template.
Since in your case it is other users that get this error, if they get it while building their own reports,
it may be needed to educate them on this.
If they have the error running predefined reports, check those for the points mentioned and redistribute.
    Hope this helps

  • Video card error after new driver update

I have a nvidia gt 630 video card in this pc.  It has a 450w power supply, 8g ram, and windows 10 pro.  With the upgrade to windows 10 the videocard quits working with the new driver.  I have spent the last 5 days trying fixes with nvidia they recomended I try HP so here I am.  When I check the error I get a window pnp error and it said further installation required.  Nvidia thought it might be a bios issue but it was fine before.

Nope, it's not a hardware issue.
The cause, yes. However, that firmware update might have – a guess – broken the hardware forever. Again, it could just be coincidence. I am not able to rule that out from the distance. You have two options: Wait for a firmware patch (which might do a lot of magic and repairs hardware) – or go for Nokia Care Centre.
    Sensonic wrote:
Taking the phone to the Nokia Care Center and replacing the mother (main) board is not (IMO) a reasonable cure for this problem.
The first step of bug fixing, is getting aware of the bug. Nokia Support Discussions are designed in such a crazy way, that this step might not have taken by this thread. I am just an end-user like you, but there are very different statements whether this board is monitored by internal support.
By the way, the next step is to reproduce this bug – for this, Nokia requires a faulty unit, normally. Therefore, I recommend to go for the Nokia Care Centre option – because waiting – until your warranty might be gone – might not be a good alternative.
Or stated differently: Sit and wait might end in catastrophe in this case.
    Sensonic wrote:
    I suppose it's not a hardware issue.
To double-check, we have Nokia Care Centre.

  • IMac Display/Video card "error"

Hey ppl, just had the most random thing happen to my new iMac Core Duo 20" today. ive had it for under a month, and its the standard model from Apple. I had a few Apps open, and was using VLC to play a video file.... suddenly, the entire display goes washed out(very bright white/yellow) with a few colored bands going from top to bottom. I could hear the audio from the video playing...but i couldnt make the display get back to normal (force quit, etc). So i had to do a manual reboot of the system and all was fine.
Anyoneelse here experience anything like this ? or anyone here know why something like this would happen ?
    Cheers

this could be caused by any number of things. i would reset the pram holding apple-option-p-r and that might help. but i would also run the apple hardware test. you can do that by booting to your install disk holding the d key. could be the logic board. but could also be inverter, or video card. it could even be software related. i would definitely run apple hardware test though and see if everything checks out. • Paralells Desktop video card error

I recently purchased a Mac Pro, which I love by the way. However when using Paralells Dektop to try to run a PC game, I get an error message that says something to the effect that the graphics card in my computer will not support the game.
    How do I correct this?

Make sure that you allocate more then enough memory if you use Fusion (Parallels I'm not sure if it is still 1.5GB) and that you set cpu processors to use more than the default one core (you can't allocate 3 or more though, not sure how it will handle octo-core).
Some software looks to see if DirectX 9 or above is supported (there is experimental support for 3D).
With Mac Pro, though, I'd install Windows on its own drive, and then let Fusion or Parallels "take over" (there are some bugs, Fusion will disable your nvidia or ATI drivers in favor of "generic" video so you have to reinstall when you get back to Windows the first time, a result of VMware Tools patches).

  • Video card error - No resources when sound card installed.

    Hi
I hope that someone can help me here :/
I just bought a x-fi Sound Blaster card... I installed it and booted up PC.. When windows loads the screen and colours are at their minimum.. I look in device manager and there is a yellow warning icon on the device (GeForce 6800 Ultra).. It says, unable to find enough resources, please disable another device in the system.. I disable the sound card and re-boot..no change.. I tried to go on the internet but the browser kept crashing.. I took the sound card out of the PC and everything is fine now.
Has anyone come across this before? I'd appreciate any help on this
    Thanks
JonSince it's the sound card causing the problem, I thought it'd be ok to post here

Hi?Thanks for the replies... I've tried 4 PCI slots with no luck.. My AGP was already set to 256 ?One thing that I did notice was that after installing the SB software.. The test signal would only come through the left speaker... The speakers work fine with the on-board sound (which has been disabled btw).. I checked the settings and everything seemed as it should be...So this is either to do with the conflict or it's a faulty sound card.. IRQ's are a tricky subject for me.. There are lots of settings in the bios..Everything is set to auto currently. With the Sound Card out, the graphic card takes IRQ 6 (as told by device manager) in the bios it says it's assigned IRQ .. When the SB was installed, I forget what IRQ it had but I'm sure it was neither or 6.. Thanks for any further suggestions?Jon

    Order of Troubleshooting...
    (1) Video Card Driver Problem
Does the computer use a NVIDIA GeForcce video card/graphics card? If so, stop and read the announcement at the top of this forum.
It describes the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA video card driver problem and gives the fix. For your convenience the following is a
copy/paste of the Announcement. Very important to rule in or out the known Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA Video Card Driver issue.
Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA Video Card Driver Roll Back
If you are a Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card and you are experiencing Premiere
Elements 10 display and/or unexplained program behavior, then your first line of troubleshooting needs to be rolling back the video card
driver version instead of assuring that it is up to date.
Since October 2013 to the present, there have been a growing number of reports about display and unexplained workflow glitches specific
to the Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer has a NVIDIA GeForce video card. If this applies to you, then the “user to user”
remedy is to roll back the NVIDIA GeForce video card driver as far as is necessary to get rid of the problems. The typical driver roll back has
gone back as far as March – July 2013 in order to get a working Premiere Elements 10. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has taken any corrective
action in this regard to date, and none is expected moving forward.
Since October 2013, the following thread has tried to keep up with the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA reports
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1317675
Older NVIDIA GeForce drivers can be found

    (2) "Movie" Properties
We need to know the properties of your source media, such as,
    Video compresson
    Audio compression
    Frame Size
    Frame Rate
    Interlaced or Progressive
    File Extension
    Pixel Aspect Ratio
We could direct you to video and audio properties readout programs, but let us see if we can get the information needed from knowing
the brand/model/settings for the camera that recorded the video.
Please check out these 2 important concerns, let us see what you have, and then we can decide what next. The video card driver matter may fix all.
Do not hesitate to ask if there is anything that you need help to understand what is needed.
    Thank you.

  • Motion fails to acknowledge compatible video card

I just received my upgrade to studio from FCP HD. From what I have read my system should meet the minimum requirements for all components of Studio.
The installer dimmed the FCP, Motion, and Compressor apps. It failed to allow the install of these components. I used the hack listed in these forums to install these apps. I have FCP and Compressor working, but I appear to be missing one of the elements that checks video card compatibility for Motion.
Does anyone knows where my incompatibility lies and what I can do to work around this issue?
    Thank you.
    David Finell

It is not just a check because Motion will run too slow. If you were somehow able to bypass the tests, Motion still would not run. It requires specific capabilities within the hardware (specifically pixel shaders) and no - there are no software workarounds.
As to your 9600 - it's not a bad card, I use one in my home system, but it's not very fast either. A while back someone posted about using a project for a benchmark for performance between different gfx cards. The thread is here, but a summary is:
    nVidia 5200....1.5 fps
    ATI 9600.......4 fps
    ATI 9800.......10 fps
    nVidia 6800....18 fps
    nVidia 7800....21 fps

  • I need a Video Card for Adobe Premiere Elements, what is recommended?

I wish to buy the Adobe Premiere Elements Video Editing. I shoot on a Cannon GL1 & GL3 mini dvd and need a video card to capture my video footage. What Video Card is recommended for use with the Premieire Elements software? and what is the price? Please advise...

    farney1946
Is the purchased Premiere Elements 12 still in its sealed packaging?
If you have not already, I would suggest that you install Premiere Elements 12 from the purchased installation disc
and evaluate its performance in your computer environment.
    a. Does the program fail to install?
    b. Do you get Display Card errors?
If you are worried about not being able to return 12 once the package is opened, then you can try the following
    a. Download the Premiere Elements 12 tryout files from the following web site and evaluate it as a tryout (full
    featured).
    http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-12-direct-download-links-premiere.html
Read and carry out carefully the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the web page to avoid Access Denied message.
    b. If the tryout performs well for you, then delete the tryout and install your purchased version with the purchased
serial number included on the packaging.
....other possibilities, but just the above for now.

  • Sudden video card drive error causing freeze

I am using Premiere Elements 11 and suddenly it started to show video card drive error when trying to create a new project or open an existing one. The error says that Adobe detected an incompatible display driver GeForce 9600 GT/PCIe/SSE2 3.3.0 and ask me to update the driver. If I click OK on this message Adobe starts creating or opening a project but freezes. I cannot even close the application as the computer does not react to Ctrl+Alt+Del neither so I have to force restart it. When it freezes I see two Adobe logo at the bottom of the screen in the taskbar as if it would try to open the application twice.
I have the latest video card driver installed: version 340.52. Moreover, Premiere Elements opened and worked without problem before and I have not changed anything in my video card driver before the error started to show up.
Any idea what can be the problem and how to fix it?

  • Windows 7 - Pci-to-Pci Bridge (Error: Code 10) - PCI Video Card

Before I state my issues I will list what I'm running and what I'm trying to accomplish.
I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit edition, not the Beta or RC. I have 3 video cards in my possession (listed below).
    - (PCIe) Evga GTX260
    - (PCI) Evga 9400GT
    - (PCI) Evga Fx5500
Out of those 3 cards I only use the GTX260 and the 9400GT. I had to 'retire' the Fx5500 because the latest WHQL (certified) drivers only provide support as far down as the "6 series" Nvidia cards. Unfortunately the Fx5500 is a "5 series" and falls below that line. I have already tried to use the GTX260 and Fx5500 in previous versions of Windows (XP and Vista), but there is no way to download and install two separate drivers for two of the same make of video card - you'll get nothing but errors. There is the option of going to a place like guru3d.com and downloading a custom supported driver that covers both the GTX260 and Fx5500, but the drivers are not certified and lack support. Therefore, I purchased and now use the 9400GT which is covered under the drivers for the GTX260 and eliminates the need for messing around with custom drivers. Also, the 9400GT has a better graphics processor and more memory than the Fx5500, so it was time to upgrade anyway.
Now that you have some background info here is my issue Whenever I install the 9400GT I get a second 'pci-to-pci bridge' entry (the other entry has no errors) that shows up under 'System Devices' in the Device Manager. The second pci-to-pci bridge entry has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark on it that refers to a problem. When you check the properties of this device it more or less says that Windows has detected a problem (Error Code 10). The GTX260 still works and even shows up under the 'Display Adapters' as a GTX260, but no entry for the 9400GT exists. I have tried the 9400GT in both PCI slots and each time it does the same thing. If I pull out the GTX260 and ONLY run the 9400GT, I still get the pci-to-pci bridge issue, BUT I do get a picture and can boot into Windows 7 without a hitch. When I do this there is still nothing listed under the 'Display Adapters' as a 9400GT or even a VGA compatible device.
After messing around with this for 10 hours (yes, I said 10 hours) I decided to dig out my retired PCI video card (the Fx5500). When I installed this card I had no 2nd pci-to-pci bridge entry appear under 'System Devices', and the one that was listed had no yellow triangle or error codes. I then checked under 'Display Adapters' and Windows 7 had recognized it as a VGA compatible device and was asking for drivers.
I have now concluded that there is definitely no issue with the motherboard or any of my hardware (including video cards). At first EVGA Support and I had suspected that the motherboard may be bad because of all of the pre-diagnostic steps I had taken during my 10 hour ordeal. I'm not going to list everything I did because it would literally take 3 hours to type it all in. Just believe me when I say that I have tried most things including but not limited to the latest bios updates (flashed 4 times and completely reset to ensure accuracy), custom IRQ management, entire OS re-installation X2, multiple/latest chipset drivers installed, multiple/latest video drivers installed, memtest testing, complete hardware teardown and re-build (adding one device at a time), and MUCH more. The only thing I did not try was installing a different OS other than Windows 7 64-bit to see if I could replicate the issue. This is a waste of time though because lets say that I install Windows XP Pro and the 9400GT doesn't have this issue... Well, that's great, but who gives a damn about XP Pro when I have been using it for the last 9 years and when I have a full version of Windows 7 that I want to use? I'm certainly not going to run XP Pro over Windows 7 just to use this PCI video card. Second, if I install XP Pro and it still gives me the same pci-to-pci bridge error then again, I've only wasted more time because if its not going to work in either OS then Im sure as hell not going to leave XP Pro installed when I can use Windows 7.
    Thanks,
    piyush

Maybe stupid question now but has your posting anything to do with Toshiba and Toshiba notebooks?

  • Can't export because of Error -50 but can't upgrade my final cut because of video card?

So I updated to mavericks later to find out you can't export in final cut pro unless you upgrade the software, my problem is that when I try to upgrade the software it says "you do not have the required graphics card"
So I'm stuck. What can I do? I Simply cannot export using any option  as I either get a compressor error -50 or nothing happens at all.
    I can't update the software. I can't export.
    APP NAP IS OFF

If the problem is with the graphics card then here is a list of compatible cards: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4664
What computer are you using? If it is an older Mac Pro 1,1 to 3,1 (early 2008) then the ATI Radeon HD 5770 should work. This is the one I've used and it has 1GB of memory. The more graphics card memory available the better. I read one account where a person had to go to 2GB of memory to avoid the spinning beachball but who knows what other resources he had tied up. For myself, I have a video-only machine and the Internet is disconnected when I'm editing and the 1GB worked perfectly fine. Oh, and with only 8 GB of RAM.
The 5770 cost $249 with free shipping about two years ago. Recommend not using a "flashed" card.
As for what to do for the interim, one suggestion would be to copy the Project to an external drive and find someone who would be willing to finish the share process. Other than that, it looks like you'll be dead in the water until the video card issue is resolved.

  • A705w-Trying to Play Call of Duty 2, error with video card

i get the error message that i dont have the right video card and that the computer hasn't initialized right.
Can i go out and buy another graphics card that will support the game?  or should i just buy i new computer.  I'd rather just get a graphics card instead of spending a lot of money on a new computer.  I went to the website www.canirunit.com which did let me know if my computer was capable of running COD 2, it said that the CPU speed wasn't fast enough and that my graphics card wasn't good enough.
let me know what i should do!

Thanks Jack Black, but I'm afraid the problem is that my Display Driver is not compatible with DirectX 9.0c. The Call of Duty 2 game installs in my computer the Directx 9.0c application, so I do not need to download the program from Microsoft website. However, in spite of having the Directx 9.0c installed in my laptop, it still does not run because I guess the Display driver should be compatible with the new version of DirectX.
