Premier CS3 Essential Project Housekeeping Query

I hope someone will help with their experience
I have created several home film projects over the years, which take me a long time as I am constantly working out how to work the program. Typically after a year or so and I become more accomplished, I wish to revisit the old projects to iron out those glitches and blemishes which will finally make the film fully professional.
The problem is all the files are someplace else, colour bars keep appearing and usually a whole series of 'where is .. file' appear and I have to go and search around and find them and then it seems that I have to go look for them again the next time I open the file. Also a whole bunch of quite large files are thrown into a folder somewhere not very well signposted with not very intuitive names/extensions which cause further uncertainty as to what is what and probably might be part of the problem also.
I'me sure this does not happen to most users who have basic housekeeping skills and procedures, and I am wondering if someone could enlighten with some simple workflow guidelines which will get me out of Free Parking and up and away in film making and essentially bring all my efforts of the past to fruition. I typically  move files from disk to disk to offset strorage problems.  Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
Most of that "housekeeping" starts when one chooses New Project, and then progresses from there.
For each New Project, I create a Project Folder (in some cases, these will be under a "Client Folder," but are often just located on E:\. Under each Project Folder, [Project Name], I create sub-folders, say Videos, Audio, Music, Still Images, Captures, etc., and in Edit Preferences, I point the Scratch Disks to "Same as Project." Everything is in the [Project Name] folder hierarchy.
In my case, and with the exceptions of Captures from miniDV tapes, I keep the originals of all of my Assets elsewhere (on a NAS in my case), and will Copy all of them to the appropriate sub-folders. I will then Import those Copies into my Project. Everything stays within the [Project Name] folder hierarchy. This makes everything easy to handle.
When one Imports an Asset, PrPro creates a link in the PRPROJ file, in XML code, with the Absolute Path, i.e. the full Path to where that Asset is located. In my case, say for a Video file, the Path will be: E:\[Project Name]\Videos. Note: if anything changes with that Path, one will get the "Where is file ____?"query. This is any part of that Path, including the file's name. PrPro will follow that linked Path, when reopening that Project, and if anything has changed, been Deleted, Moved or Renamed, PrPro cannot find it, without the user's help. This is where you are having issues.
If one has Imported Assets from all around a system, there are two potential problems: if anything changes in the Path to those Assets, PrPro is lost. If one Moves their Still Images to another folder or sub-folder, PrPro needs your help. Also, PrPro can have issues, when one uses Project Manager to archive a Project, where Assets are scattered about. This is one reason that I work with Copies of all Assets, and keep them in the [Project Name] folder hierarchy. Project Manager can locate everything easily, and depending on the settings that one chooses in Project Manager, all Assets can be archived, along with the PRPROJ file.
For archiving older Projects, the Project Manager is a great tool. I would read all about it in the Help File, as there are several useful settings, and understanding what each offers will be VERY helpful.
When one has used Project Manager, and they have a folder structure, as I described, one should check the archived Project (the output from Project Manager), to insure that EVERYTHING is in place. I archive to a set of external HDD's. I then test each archived Project, and when I am certain that they function 100%, and that all Assets have been included, I will just go to the [Project Name] folder, and Delete it. This takes ALL of the sub-folders and Asset Copies with it, but I never do that, until I have fully tested the archived version of the Project. Housekeeping is then just three clicks: select [Project Name] folder, click Delete, then OK.
As mentioned above, the reason that you are getting the "Where is file _____?" is because something has changed in that Absolute Path, since the Assets were Imported into the Project - could be a Move, a Delete or a Rename. In the "Move" area, it could be that those Assets were on an external, and that day, the OS assigned the drive letter H:\, but today, when you plug that same external into the computer, the OS assigns the drive letter G:\. The way around this is to set the drive letter of each external HDD to a unique drive letter. Then, every time you plug it in, it will always get the same drive letter. If you work with those externals on several computers, then you must go into the OS on each computer, and set that drive letter.
Good luck, and please spend some time with the Help File, on Project Manager. If you then have any questions with any aspect of Project Manager, drop by here, and ask what _____ means, and someone will help explain that to you. Several options, and each has a use, and is important.

PS - do not recall if PrPro CS3 had a manual, but if so, then spend some time reading of Project Manager there.

  • Premier CS3 is demolishing my DVCPRO HD 1080i footage

    My project looks BEAUTIFUL on my original timeline but by the time it is encoded to standard DVD specs (progressive or interlaced) it looks almost like VHS. I have read the discussions about what the CS3 deinterlacing does to our beautiful HD footage.
    I have also read the very detailed work arounds posted by Dan Isaacs. I really appreciate the extreme technical knowledge and talent that Dan and those who follow Dans procdures have. I on the other hand am just a professional editor/producer that has been doing video production full time for 20 years. I do not have the knowledge or time to follow this procedure.
    All I want is for Premier CS3 to render my HD footage into acceptable DVD quality. Is the new CS4 going to do a better job of rendering DVCPRO HD 1080i???? Or do I need to go to a different editing program after using Premier since the days of 5.1???
    Please Help if you can...
    Thanks,

    Unfortunately, the links to the original articles are possibly broken now - forum changeover. However, you *might* be able to locate the new links via Search. It's different now, as you have to initiate the Search, Enter, ignore what is found, then go to Options. There you can set the criteria for Forum, and then add Dan to the list. That *should* get you close. Might take some doing. If I can locate Dan's excellent articles in the new forum, I'll be sure to post the current links. Until the Google (and other) 'bots complete a full sweep of the new forum, and compile the new links, older articles just might be out in limbo.

    [Edit] Here's ONE for you, but it's mostly Dan's replies and not the main How To article that I'm looking for.
    [Edit 2] Here is ANOTHER, that looks like the original article, but seems truncated, in that this link goes to Jeff Bellune's reply, which, IIRC was way down the thread. Maybe the original is lost forever.

  • Trying to open Premier Pro 1.5 PC file in Premier CS3 on Mac... help! pLEase!

    I have an old demo for my business that I'm trying to add to, and insert new footage.  This version was last done in Windows XP on a PC with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.  I'm now using a Mac and want to be able to open this with Premiere Pro CS3 on my mac, and edit with all elements in place as is.  Is this possible?
    The error message says it can't open it and to consult the manual, which I don't have with me while I'm on the road traveling.
    I would be SO grateful if anyone is able to help me out.
    Warmest Regards,
    [email protected]

    Let's see if I can get this right. Pr through 6.5 was X-platform, and then with PrPro 1.0 (often called PrPro 7.0, or Pr 7.0 - yes, confusing), Pr went to the PC platform ONLY. Then, with CS3, PrPro became X-platform again. What this means is that if a Project was created with PrPro 1.0 thru PrPro 2.0, it was ONLY on the PC. To Open one of those Projects on the Mac, one must find a user on the PC with CS3, and get them to Open that Project, then Save (would do a Save_As, or Save_As_a_Copy to keep the original intact), and then Copy that CS3 (converted) Project to the Mac. The trick is finding a person with CS3 on the PC, and asking for help. If I had CS3, I'd gladly do this for you. Regardless of what some ads might indicate, PC-users are really nice people. There should be some PC-users with CS3, who will offer to help you. The process is very simple, takes but moments, and the biggest issue is just getting the files (not really THAT large) back and forth.
    Were it me, I'd Copy things over to an external (note: to be X-platform, that must be FAT-32 formatted, and could prove to be an issue with the ~ 4GB file size limit) HDD, with everything on it, then ship that off. If one just works with the PRPROJ file (Project file), there will need to be some Asset re-linking, but that is not the end of the world.
    Good luck, and if you do not have a PC friend with CS3, wait for some offers to pour in.

    PS - BTW - where do you reside, as that might make things easier?

  • Items in project report(query) are listed under the "not assigned" (column)

    Hi All,
    Items in project reports (query) are listed under the "not assigned" (column name) Why it is so ?
    Start query : project reports & ask for period April 2008 (Period from/to). .
    You will see items listed under  Not assigned WBS Element (column name)
    If you choose for a period of April until June 2008 then you see more items under u201Cnot assignedu201D .
    Items should be under Assigned (column name) & not under the Not assigned (column name )
    Any suggestions highly appreciable.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    How are you displaying the ITEM field in the BEx query designer? Is it displayed with "Key and Text"? If so and if the text is not loaded for this master, this may happen.

  • Premier CS3 how to save your settings (Presets) ?

    I installed my Premier CS3 on my new PC and wanted to use some of my old PRESET setting that i have saved on my other PC...
    Ok here its :
    On my old PC i modified let's say a Trapcode plug in and saved it under PRESET , basically i chnged certain prameters within that plug in and saved it under a new name, now that i upgraded my PC and reinstalled my Premier on the new PC, is there any way i could go to my old PC and somehow save that file and use it on my new PC, so when i try to use my old preset, i get the same settings ?
    thanks !

    Ok Harm here its..
    I used the Magic Bullet's MisFire on one of my clips, but you know how you goto effect control settings and change certain parameters and then you can save it under a user PRESET, which appears on top of all effects as  Presets, ok there we go .
    so, everytime i wanna use the MisFire i goto Presets on top of effect page and use that one instead of the actual MisFire from Magic Bullet video effect section, that way i don't have to change any parameters , its already set the way i wanted to look !

  • PREMIER CS3 - Eyedropper Tool ONLY Sees BLUE

    When I am Chroma or Colour Keying in Premier CS3 the eyedropper only sees BLUE, whereas last week it saw EVERYTHING that I would touch it to.
    I was told to buy CS4 but that's not an option for me yet.
    How do I get it to see the colours I am touching with it again?
    Xin

    My Replies will be in BOLD
    Thanks for the info.
    Now, some observations, followed by a few more questions:
    My question - 1.) when you click the eyedropper, does the cursor change to the eyedropper symbol?
    +++ The cursor changes to the EYEDROPPER as soon as I mouse-over the actual eyedropper icon. As soon as I click it, the colour in the box becomes an off blue-purple, and no matter what colour (with the exception of white) that I click on, the blue-purple colour remains as the selected colour. This does NOT happen in After Effects when I use chroma key there.
    This is odd behavior. When working with the Chroma Key Effect (my example), I start with a color swatch and the Eyedropper button/icon. Hovering over it will do nothing, until I click on that button/icon. That is when the cursor changes to the Eyedropper symbol - not before I click. Something is odd here.
    Could there be an Automatic/Options filter that is turned on that I don't know about?
    My question - 3.) what are the other settings in the Chroma Key box in the Effects Control Panel?
    +++In order the options in Chroma Key are:
    Colour - has the colour box and eyedropper icon
    Similarity
    Blend
    Threshold
    Cutoff
    Smoothing with an options drop down box
    Mask Only with a check box.
    My settings are:
    Color with the swatch and Eyedropper button/icon
    Similarity 0.0%
    Blend 0.0%
    Threshold 0.0%
    Cutoff 0.0%
    Smoothing None
    Mask Only unchecked
    Can you try those settings as a test? You can change them back after the test.
    I have shot video of this for you, I will convert it and sent it off. Can you view MPEG 2 files?
    You'd most likely know if you had a Matrox Video/Capture card. We can probably rule that one out.
    You should not need to upgrade to CS4, unless some of its features would be worth it. I'm testing this with PrPro 2.0 on my laptop, so you should get almost everything that I do. You should also NOT need to go to Photoshop for this. Something is odd, as mentioned above.
    I have no interest in moving to 4 (dollars and cents are an issue).
    Now, most of these questions mainly come from my years with PS, and might have nothing to do with PrPro. Still, these were things that could mess up the Eyedropper in PS.
    Do you have Cap Locks ON, or OFF?
    Tried both
    Do you have a MS InteliPoint mouse driver?
    No, Logitech Mouse Here
    Are you running Window Blinds?
    No
    What happens if you Ctrl-click on the Eyedropper button/icon?
    The colour becomes about 1/3 the darkness it would normally be - but only sometimes
    What happens if you Alt-click on the Eyedropper button/icon?
    It detects grays only
    What happens if you Shift-click on the Eyedropper button/icon?
    It sees gray and white but wont change the blue colour
    What is the exact version of CS3 that you're running. Tip: Help>About and look to the middle-left of the splash screen for some black text with something like CS3.0.2.
    CS3.0.0 (374)
    The video will follow shortly

  • Premier CS3 and MTS files

    So, is Premier CS3 unable to recognize and handle MTS files?  I just got an HD camcorder that shoots AVCHD and the files, which have an .MTS extension, don't appear when I browse to import into Premier.  I just want to confirm that I'm SOL.  If so, I'm assuming my only workaround is to convert the files to SD in the camera and give up on HD until I upgrade my software?  Or else, is there a plug-in or something that will give CS3 the ability to work with these?
    Thanks in advance for any advice!

    I got this yesterday and tested it...works pretty well for cs3 which is what I use.  However, the source video I converted had 6 audio channels and sound woud not go into cs3 with converted file ...so I used the same conversion program to extract the sound as a wav file, and that went into cs3 nicely...
    You would want to "link" the audio and video once in cs3..if you have similar issues someday
    This is the program I got ( only if you cannot afford cineform neoscene right now )
    AVCHD CONVERTER and export info aunsoft 29 dollars

    This is what I converted the avchd file to using that program
    hope that helps

  • Import Premiere Pro CS3 Windows projects into Premiere Pro CS5 Mac.

    Hi there people. I hope you can help me. I have had premiere pro CS3 on my windows system for some years but now run a Mac with Master Collection CS5, my problem is that my existing prproj files on windows format do not open in CS5 Premiere Pro for Mac, I get a message telling me that I need to see the user guide for importing options, I have tried to do so, but there is no information about how to do this.
    Can anyone here please tell me how to get around this, as I need to rework some of these old windows projects however my old windows system is totally dead now so I cannot open the files in the CS3 windows version either.
    Please help, oh and spare me the useless windows vs. mac arguments.
    I hope someone here can help
    Thanks

    Since you are trying to Open a CS3 PC Project, you should not have THAT many issues in CS5 Mac. Have you tried both the Open and Import - similar but different operations? Have both methods failed?
    One possible problem would be the Effects & Transitions used in the CS3 PC Project. Here is a LIST of the Transitions and Effects in CS4 for the PC, that are missing in the Mac version. I would assume that CS3 and CS5 would be similar. However, in similar cases, PrPro has thrown a more specific error message. I have only Opened Pr 6.5 Mac Projects into PrPro 2.0 PC, and these have been almost perfect. Where there were missing Transitions, I got a very explicit message, telling me what had been used that was missing from my program, and exactly where the problem existed (specific TimeCode). In my case, two Transitions just did not exist in my PrPro 2.0, and one was a 3rd party Transition, or Effect, and I did not have that. Still, the older Mac Projects Opened fine, and I just made note of where I would need to make changes. I would anticipate that similar would occur, if the Mac version did not have some Transition, or Effect, but do not know specifically. Still, based on the warning messages that I got, with such complete documentation, I'd expect similar.
    Now another consideration - Assets. If there are Assets that you cannot work with on your Mac, say DV-AVI, or WMV, those would likely throw an error. Again, I would expect that error message to elaborate a bit more.
    Do you know the details of your CS3 Projects and their Assets? Anything that you can think of there?
    Just thinking here, and unfortunately, I have never gone the direction that you are going, and with the versions that you are working with, so something simple and glaring (to others) might just be slipping past me.
    Good luck, and maybe others will have much better input on your issue. Also - welcome to the forum!

  • Fonts from Premier 6.5 to Premier CS3

    I have recently moved from Premier 6.5 to Premier Pro CS3. I have to re-edit a large project originally created in 6.5. All the titles were created with a font included with 6.5 called News Gothic. This font doesn't appear to be included with CS3 and all the font characteristics and formatting of my titles is lost when importing them to CS3. I have a couple of hundred titles and don't want to have to rebuild them. How can I get the News Gothic font so the titles show up properly as created in 6.5?
    Thanks.
    Steve Blackwell

    Steve,
    I will assume that you are on the same computer, with the same OS, that you had P6.5 on, but have now installed CS3. If that font was loaded to your Windows Fonts originally, it should still be there. Though it might have come from P6.5, if it was useable before, it should still be installed. An uninstall of P6.5 should not delete fonts, even if that program originally installed them.
    If you have lost the font, I'd go back to your P6.5 disc(s) and locate it there. Copy it over to a temp folder and then install it via Control Panel>Fonts, File>Install New Font. The installation will ask if you wish to Copy Fonts to Font Folder, make sure this IS checked.
    As Ann points out, if you use a font "manager," like Extensis Suitcase, the old ATM, etc., the fonts can reside anywhere, and will be installed, when and if, you need them. If you DO have a font manager, just make sure that this font is chosen to load.
    IIRC, News Gothic was included in almost every Adobe program, that I've had for the last half-dozen years. It's usually in one of the Goodies, or Extras folder on the install discs. If you have the CD/DVD for Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, heck almost any Adobe program, you have the font in a folder on the install discs.
    Good luck,

  • Is there a better way to do this projection/aggregate query?

    Hi,
    Summary:
    Can anyone offer advice on how best to use JDO to perform
    projection/aggregate queries? Is there a better way of doing what is
    described below?
    Details:
    The web application I'm developing includes a GUI for ad-hoc reports on
    JDO's. Unlike 3rd party tools that go straight to the database we can
    implement business rules that restrict access to objects (by adding extra
    predicates) and provide extra calculated fields (by adding extra get methods
    to our JDO's - no expression language yet). We're pleased with the results
    so far.
    Now I want to make it produce reports with aggregates and projections
    without instantiating JDO instances. Here is an example of the sort of thing
    I want it to be capable of doing:
    Each asset has one associated t.description and zero or one associated
    d.description.
    For every distinct combination of t.description and d.description (skip
    those for which there are no assets)
    calculate some aggregates over all the assets with these values.
    and here it is in SQL:
    select t.description type, d.description description, count(*) count,
    sum(a.purch_price) sumPurchPrice
    from assets a
    left outer join asset_descriptions d
    on a.adesc_no = d.adesc_no,
    asset_types t
    where a.atype_no = t.atype_no
    group by t.description, d.description
    order by t.description, d.description
    it takes <100ms to produce 5300 rows from 83000 assets.
    The nearest I have managed with JDO is (pseodo code):
    perform projection query to get t.description, d.description for every asset
    loop on results
    if this is first time we've had this combination of t.description,
    d.description
    perform aggregate query to get aggregates for this combination
    The java code is below. It takes about 16000ms (with debug/trace logging
    off, c.f. 100ms for SQL).
    If the inner query is commented out it takes about 1600ms (so the inner
    query is responsible for 9/10ths of the elapsed time).
    Timings exclude startup overheads like PersistenceManagerFactory creation
    and checking the meta data against the database (by looping 5 times and
    averaging only the last 4) but include PersistenceManager creation (which
    happens inside the loop).
    It would be too big a job for us to directly generate SQL from our generic
    ad-hoc report GUI, so that is not really an option.
    KodoQuery q1 = (KodoQuery) pm.newQuery(Asset.class);
    q1.setResult(
    "assetType.description, assetDescription.description");
    q1.setOrdering(
    "assetType.description ascending,
    assetDescription.description ascending");
    KodoQuery q2 = (KodoQuery) pm.newQuery(Asset.class);
    q2.setResult("count(purchPrice), sum(purchPrice)");
    q2.declareParameters(
    "String myAssetType, String myAssetDescription");
    q2.setFilter(
    "assetType.description == myAssetType &&
    assetDescription.description == myAssetDescription");
    q2.compile();
    Collection results = (Collection) q1.execute();
    Set distinct = new HashSet();
    for (Iterator i = results.iterator(); i.hasNext();) {
    Object[] cols = (Object[]) i.next();
    String assetType = (String) cols[0];
    String assetDescription = (String) cols[1];
    String type_description =
    assetDescription != null
    ? assetType + "~" + assetDescription
    : assetType;
    if (distinct.add(type_description)) {
    Object[] cols2 =
    (Object[]) q2.execute(assetType,
    assetDescription);
    // System.out.println(
    // "type "
    // + assetType
    // + ", description "
    // + assetDescription
    // + ", count "
    // + cols2[0]
    // + ", sum "
    // + cols2[1]);
    q2.closeAll();
    q1.closeAll();

    Neil,
    It sounds like the problem that you're running into is that Kodo doesn't
    yet support the JDO2 grouping constructs, so you're doing your own
    grouping in the Java code. Is that accurate?
    We do plan on adding direct grouping support to our aggregate/projection
    capabilities in the near future, but as you've noticed, those
    capabilities are not there yet.

  • Open jpegs from Premier CS3 in PhotoshopCS3 says locked file will not save to jpeg

    When I open a jpeg or tiff, from Premiere to photoshop, and make some modifications (like simply mode to grayscale) and try to save it back to the jpeg it refuses, saying the file is locked and I should go to Explorer, properties and unlock. However the files are not locked in the properties, so my only choice is to save as another file, re-load it itno Premiere, and put it on the timeline. I used to be able to edit directly from Premier to Photoshop, and save - on CS3!
    I have no clue what I might have done to cause this, except it is a fresh install of Master Suite on a fresh install of Vista Ultimate.
    Any help appreciated.
    Jack

    I also realize that my saying, "that is the way it works for me," doesn't help you, since it doesn't work for you. Did it EVER work for you? YES IT DID, THAT IS WHAT IS PUZZLING, AND IN CS3 ALSO.
    Couple of thoughts/questions:
    Are you networked? YES, 2 WSIDE BY SIDE AND A THECUS RAID5 5 TERABYTE DATA BOS WHERE I KEEP MANY VIDEO AND STILLS. Are you logged in as an Administrator? I AM THE ONLY ADMINISTRATOR AND LOGGED IN AS SUCH. Are the Assets on internal (non-mapped) HDDs? IN FACT THE THECUS ACTS JUST LIKE ANOTHER INTERNAL HARD DRIVE, NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH IT BEFORE. I'M NOT MUCH OF A COMPUTER PERSON, SO NOT EVEN SURE WHAT MAPPED MEANS, BUT WHEN I WAS ABLE TO EDIT FROM PREMIERE BY SIMPLY CLICKING ON EDIT IN PHOTOSHOP, AND THE ASSETS WERE STORED ON THE THECUS, FIXES CAME BACK DIRECTLY TO PREMIERE. NOW THE SAY 'LOCKED' Any on external, or mapped-network HDDs? Are the Assets coming off of some media like CD, or DVD, and not first being transferred to internal HDDs? ALL ASSETS ARE ON INTERNAL DRIVES. I'VE TRANSFERRED SOME MEDIA TO THE SCRATCH DISC INTERNAL DRIVE AND GET THE SAME RESULT. If they originate FROM CD/DVD, are you making sure that they are not listed as Read Only, after copying? ALL I HAVE CHECKED HAVE NO CHECK ON READ ONLY. NONE ARE RECENTLY BROUGHT IN, I HAVE NEARLY 30,000 PHOTOS SEVERAL TERABYTES OF VIDEO. Windows likes to flag them that way, and it can bite you later. Anyone else on your network using these Assets? Are you using them in AE, AI, InDesign, etc., while also using them in Premiere/PS? I ONLY HAVE PREMIERE AND PHOTOSHOP OPEN, I EVEN CLOSED DOWN BRIDGE. Last, do you have Indexing turned on for any of your HDDs, as Windows loves to "lock" files, while it does its indexing. I turn this off for ALL HDDs, especially for my large externals. (Sometimes, when I move the external HDDs from workstation to workstation, XP will turn Indexing back on, and I have to disable this - happens about 10% of the time.) I HAVE RECENTLY INSTALLED COPERNIC TO DO SEARCHING, VISTA IS NOT FINDING THINGS WELL ENOUGH, IT MIGHT BE THE INDEXING, I'LL TRY THAT WHEN I GET BACK THIS AFTERNOON. THANKS FOR THE TIPS AND 20 QUESTIONS. THIS IS THE KIND OF HELP THAT THEY MEAN ABOUT RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS, THANKS
    AND PARDON THE CAPS
    JACK
    "Locking" is usually tied into permissions. That's why I ask about the networking aspects.
    Wish I had a quick fix for you.

  • Media files are not fully loaded when Premier Pro CC project is launched

    I'm working on a project for more than a month and my Premier Pro(PP) CC was working fine until yesterday. When I launched the same project today, PP does not load all media files. (There are 600 media files and PP loads only around 200). The last message I can see in status bar is "loading media files. 403 remaining..". It doesn't seem to proceed further and leaves the sequence incompletely loaded. Until yesterday, the sequence was fully rendered and PP was loading the pre-rendered files.
    I tried opening previous versions of project and faced with similar problems. Sometimes, the sequence doesn't show the red, green or yellow indicators at all. This has never happened in PP before. Wonder, what could be the reason and how i load my project to continue working.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Can you try to import this project in a new project in cc and check if that solves the purpose or not.
    Thank You

  • Premier Pro CS6 project files (in the 6.0 folder) aren't there after upgrade to CC

    I've recently upgraded from CS6 to CC and my premier pro project files form the CS6 version aren't in the Adibe folder. I'm hoping these were backed up to a hidden folder or something, or there is a way to get them back. I've still got the media (videos and audio etc). It's the project file that I cant find. Any help?

  • Can I open a CS3 pc project in CS5 on mac?

    Hello,
    I tried searching the forums and googling this question but couldn't find the answer.  Does anyone out there know?
    Also, am I able to open a CS5 .prproj from a PC in CS5 Premiere Pro on a MAC?
    Thanks so much for your help.
    Joe

    Thanks for the reply.  I haven't tried it yet... because I am still in the push to get my company to purchase CS5 for the mac. In the meantime, I'm trying to find out if I can work from my home computer and then transfer the project to the mac.  I have CS5 at home, and someone in the office has CS3. Thanks for the cross-platform workflow page.  Definitely seems like its doable, just a few workarounds necessary.  Hopefully I could finish the whole project at home (or I show up at work soon and its purchased).
    Thanks again Colin.
