I take this to mean that you have an embedded Intel graphics display chip. Is that correct? I would check with Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager (the exact syntax might have changed with Win8), to verify exactly which embedded graphics chip IS installed. From there, you can also get the installed driver number and date. I have had several laptops, that had nVidia chips embedded in the MoBo.
If you do have Intel, my first stop would be to the Intel Web site, where I would plug in the exact chip, say Intel HD 4000, or whatever chipset you have, and then Win8, to check for an updated driver. If your embedded chip is nVidia, or AMD/ATI, then THAT would be the Web site to check.
Since you have a Lenovo, their Web site would be the next stop, to check for a newer video driver. Many major companies, such as Lenovo, Dell, HP, Toshiba and some others, will re-wrap the the video drivers, to perform best with their hardware and their version of Windows. Some of those companies are better than others, when it comes to releasing new drivers.
As for the launch icon, were you on Windows, before Win8, I would suggest going to the Start button, then All Programs, and locate PrE, to attempt to launch it from there. One could also use Windows Explorer, to navigate to the Adobe folder, with PrE 11 in it, then Dbl-click on the EXE file. With Win8, so much has changed, that I do not know the exact steps to take, to launch the program, without a Desktop icon. If things to work, and you can launch PrE, you should then be able to just create a Shortcut on the Desktop, unless MS has removed that feature. I know that they tried to create a Desktop, that looks like a smartphone, but I think that some of the "classic" functions are still available, albeit hidden from view. Maybe a Win8 user can give you assistance in this area?

There are 5 Ipod devices in the house and we deperatly need to get this fixed.

Need a fix!

Hopefully this helps: I had one plugin (Vectorworks) which I deleted and now it opens. Try deleting any plugins if you have any if you've run out of options. Took me hours to figure that out.
On a side note, Yosemite sucks. Spread the word.

ITunes 7.7 Launch Issue

Hi,
I had a working iTunes 7.6 installation on 32-bit Vista.
I've installed iTunes 7.7, which installed no problem and displayed the licence agreement screen to me. I then clicked 'Agree' and it went away.
I can see it running in my task manager, however see no GUI.
Rebooting the PC, 'fixing' the installation, uninstalling and reinstalling haven't helped.
I click the iTunes icon, it shows me the progress bar 'Loading iTunes Library', and then the progress window vanishes and I see no iTunes. It is, however, running in my task manager.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Let's check to see first if this is a systemwide issue or if it is specific to a single user account.
Try creating a new user account (With full administrative rights) as per the instructions in the following document:
iTunes for Windows Vista: Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues
Now log out of the old user account and log into the new one.
Try launching iTunes in the new account. Does an (empty) library screen eventually come up, or do you get the same kind of behavior as you do with the the usual user account?

Workspace bug - all messed up every time Premiere launches

Hello. Ever since the second to last update, my Premiere workspace keeps getting messed up each time I run the program.
I have attached a screenshot here. All the panels are somehow squeezed to the left, the video track part of the timeline is collapsed as well. I have to manually drag everything back to the way it was every time I start the app.
Tried resetting application prefereces (holding shift-alt-ctrl while starting the app), that reset the workspace, but it was messed up again the next time I launched. Tried saving a new workspace or loading a default one. No luck.
This happens randomly. Sometimes when I quit Premiere and launch it again straight away, the workspace is preserved. Other times, when I don't use the app for a longer period of time (few hours) - it happenes again on start.
I can't seem to figure out what the problem here is. please help?

None of the things you mentioned solve the issue, I still get a squeezed workspace, even if I create a new project.
But since you say this bug is known, I guess there is nothing to do but wait for it to get fixed by Adobe.

CC / AE launching issues on Imac

I have a new Imac:
i5 processor 3.4 Ghz
cores: 4
processor: 1
l2 cache 256mb
l3 cache 6mb
memory 16 GB
I loaded the I cloud suite. Premiere won't launch at all, and AE takes about 5 to 6 minutes but finally gets there. It seems to hang up during the "initializing media core" phase.
As a newbie to Premiere, it's probably something on my end. Any answers to these issues? Can't seem to find out anything on the boards.

Report Builder 3.0 launch issue in SharePoint Integration mode

Hello,
I'm facing issue when opening the report builder 3.0 tool. Report server is configured in SharePoint Integration mode. I already have the FQDN configured for report server and in SharePoint (AAM) but still it fails when the end user is trying to access
the report builder 3.0.
Just to brief on the instance setup;
SQL box setup
1. Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard/Enterprise edition with latest service packs and updates
2. SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise edition with all features except Reporting Services installed and configured
3. SQL Engine and Agent are configured in service account (domain account)
Web box Setup
1. Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard/Enterprise edition with latest service packs and updates
2. IIS enabled with all the features
3. SharePoint Foundation 2010 with SP2 installed in advanced mode and the database server is mentioned as above
4. Farm is configured with domain account (farm account)
5. Default site is configured with domain account (site account)
6. Authentication used for default site is NT domain accounts
7. AAM is setup for default site to use the FQDN (server.domain.com)
8. SQL reporting services is installed (only) with service account (same account used which is configured in the SQL engine and agent in database server)
9. Reporting Services add-in for SharePoint Foundation 2010 is installed
10. Reporting Services is configured to use the FQDN, email settings is configured
11. SharePoint Foundation 2010 is configured to use the Reporting Services (General Application Settings) by granting the access to database, integration the report server URL with windows authentication (used the SQL reporting services service account)
12. Report Web services when clicked, open the Reporting Services window properly where it shows the SharePoint default site URL and on click shows the proper folders configured for use for reporting services
13. Report Builder launch URL is specified as /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0).application
14. IIS restart done, SQL Reporting Services restart done, even web server reboot done
15. When supplied the URL in browser as

19. Also, I tried with the fresh machine, wiped out the VM, installed OS, IIS, SharePoint Foundation 2010, SQL Reporting Services, etc. again no luck, the issue remains same as "The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error."

Program launch issues

I have a few apps that sometimes will not launch. They seem to crash when you try to launch and if you keep trying they will finally work. Is this a multi-tas or app bug? Could it be faulty memory in my iPhone?

Connect your iPhone to your computer. Launch iTunes. Select your iPhone under Devices on the left.
Select the Summary tab.
At the bottom of that window you will see Capacity and Free. Make sure there is enough free storage space. Insufficient storage space could be a factor when apps won't launch.
If that's not the issue, try restarting your IPad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
Now try launching an app. If you continue to have problems launching certain apps, go to the vendor site and look for support.

Transaction launcher issue in IC Web..

Hi all,
I have assigned the "CL_CRM_IC_ABOXSAMPLE_LEAD_PRO" class in the Launch transaction.
But in the output, it is displaying that in display mode, even i could not be able search the lead transactions(PCUI transactions).
for my userid "SAP_PCC_IC_AGENT" role has been assigned
but didnt get the screen in edit mode.
When i click the "Lead" in the navigationbar, first it is showing the error that is
"Execution is not Posiible, Data flow error". when again i click on the same "Lead" link, then i am getting lead search screen that would be in display mode only.
could any body help me on this issue, it is very urgent

Hi Venu,
Have you assigned the Process_type ( transaction type) LEAD while creating the transaction launcher using Wizard. It is assigned in the step Transaction Parameter, choose parameter : create_parameters, and assign Process_type.

PS CS5 launch issue

When I launch Photoshop CS5 the New Document window is opening automatically. Not sure what happened to cause this. Any idea on how to disable it?

I image that with an accidental Save As without »Alpha Channels« checked it could happen, but that would switch to »As Copy« and should hardly happen unnoticable as that usually also adds » copy« to the name.
As a precautionary measure you could additionally use the alpha channels as Layers Masks for empty Groups to have them stored in the Layers, too. But that naturally does not address the original issue.

Photoshop launching issues

I just downloaded a rial of Photoshop (for Windows), when launching the program it appears to load up fine, then before I can use it I get a message "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly". I downloaded Illustrator to test if I would have issues with other Adobe programs, but Illustrator loaded without any issues.

Usually when you get the message a program stop working in Windows there is a crash report generated. Did you check your windows reliability history??? Here are some I see on my system. The CC and CC 2014 stopped Workings happened in Windows KERNELBASE.dll and were cause by a Nvidia drivers update. I then install a newer version and repeated testing thing in Photoshop that were causing Photoshop to stop working. Photoshop is now running better. All Photoshop crashes are not in Adobe's code, CS6 was very unstable however CS6 CC and CC 2014 with the Adobe updates applied are quite stable. Yes there are bugs in Photoshop. Still Photoshop is the most comprehensive image editor there is and those version are very stable in the Mac and PC environments if the user's system are also stable and up to date.

Premiere CS6 Issues

hello guys I jsut upgraded from premiere CS5.5 to CS6 and I am having various issues:
1st) error I get randomly:

Multicam Editing in Premiere CC Issue

I downloaded th trial version in Premiere CC and try to edit a multicam project edit about 30 min of footage saved it and close Premiere CC after reopen each cut made on timeline start with the begining of video so like i had 3 cameras and all of them start recording on diferent time i got like black image all over and sometime when i had switched to the camer x what start recording 1st is showing the image
........ any help?

Sadly, I found out the hard way. I'm another lost soul that was bit by this bug. And on my first day of editing with Premiere Pro CC after using CS6 since last fall. Day one and I already have to shelve the new software til it's fixed. So sad. Makes me really wonder actually how this was never caught and solved in all the time leading up to the release given that if you make any adjustments to your multicam that rewrite any previous multicam edits, then save and reopen the project the issue pops up. Seems like a pretty huge bug to look over or miss. If it was "known" then how can you justify releasing it? It essentially cripples this feature rendering it almost useless.
The bug occurs whenver you go back and "re-edit" or "re-write"...as in hit play and make new cuts as it plays OVER previous edits that you made on a multicam sequence. Simply start any multicam edit, make a few cuts. Stop...go back a bit and hit play and redo some of those cuts in the multicam window (which will overwrite the previous cuts you made). Now save, close and reopen...and there you have a screwed up sequence just like the above videos show.
This is very disappointing. Multicam is broken in Premiere Pro...again. Sad.

The caveat here is you must NEVER re-do ANY of your previous edits before you EVER save and close. Itunes persistent silent launch issues

The problem I have is when I double click on itunes and the computer thinks for a few seconds and then nothing happens, no error message. When I check the task manager itunes.exe is running under processes, no abnormal CPU usage. I have been having this issue for about 6-8 weeks now.
In that time I made no system changes, I have been using SP 3 for about 3-4 months now. I have tried uninstalling itunes, quicktime, apple mobile device support, apple software update, bonjour, and mobile me preferences using the add/remove programs. I also followed the instructions on the apple support website for uninstall and file removal as suggested on different post as well. I have run multiple virus scans and spyware scans using avast home edition 4.8 and spybot S & D being sure to update the virus definitions prior to each scan. I ran registry cleaner (ccleaner) to fix any registry issues. I have checked to make sure my smart card is running (per previously read posts) and it is set on manual. I had deleted the sidb file with no success as well. I also created a new user account and tried installing and running itunes there with the same problem. (this is not necessarily the order in which i performed these fixes if that makes a difference) If anyone has any suggestions for additional ideas I am open to trying anything. I could not get Bonjour to disable so I uninstalled it. Do I need to reinstall?

you should find the smart card service in the list. Report back with your findings.
It is set on Manual.
Malware can interfere with cryptographic services and also prevent a resolution so it is important to check that your system is clean before proceeding: Run a virus and spyware scan with up to date definitions.
Ran a virus scan with Avast home 4.8 with no viruses found and spy scan with spybot search and destroy with no changes to itunes launch.

When I was going through Method 4 I got this message "LoadLibrary("mssip32.dll")failed - The specified module could not be found" I got this message on both the "regsvr32 /u mssip32.dll" and the "regsvr32 mssip32.dll" commands.
I have not tried to restart itunes again. I figured I wait to see what to do next. What do you think? Vinnie
