Premiere 3.0 and Windows 7

Will Premiere Elements 3.0 work with Windows 7?

Good luck.
John T. Smith has posted several links to MS sites on running newer OS's. I went looking for these links, but cannot find them, where I suspected that they might be. He hangs out here, when not posting to a few other Adobe programs, so will probably be by with those links, before I can find them. Before you make a jump, I'd recommend looking at his links, as they might really help you.
Good luck,

  • Premiere elements 9 and windows 7 64 bit, installation and startup

Installing pre 9 on my Dell Studio x64 with the mcAfee software did not work.
I had to use msconfig to use selected start without mcAfee security center and adobe software, plus other software that had photoediting - before that I could not start photoshop elements or premiere.
After installation got through, I have not been able to use premiere elements.
When I start for the first time I get message that only a small part of the software have been installed and that I need to download the rest from the internet - yes or no for reply.
Clicking yes gets me to the page  http://www.adobe.com/se/special/premiereel/downloads/ (swedish) and clicking on any of the links launches a new windows, givit the choices to continue to download test-software or purchased software after log-in.
The premiere elements 9 windows shows nothing, it's is empty with the exception of the menu.
On the menu I can only make choice to a new projekt or open a projekt.
I have contacted support but I need to phone them on a weekday, but I work all day and do not have the software at work.
    Any suggestions?

What happens if you go to the menu in Premiere Elements and select File, then New?
Otherwise, I'd definitely recommend you replace McAfee as your antivirus. It's known to conflict with certain programs.
Both Avast! and Microsoft Security Essentials offer FREE versions. They work at least as well -- and they don't cause program conflicts.

  • Premiere Elements 10 and Windows 8.1

Any special instructions for loading and getting Elements 10 to work with Windows 8.1?
After installing Elements 10 on my new Windows 8.1, I have a problem with the video.  This worked find on my Windows 7 machine.  When playing the imported video, I can hear the audio, but do not see the video.  The video plays successfully using the native video player in Window 8.1.  The camera is a Nikon AW100, and format is MOV.

The first question is "Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements 10?"
Are you working with the program as Run As Administrator or from a User Account with Administrative Privileges?
Next, because of the current epidemic of display problems for Premiere Elements 10 users with NVIVIA video cards, I will ask "Does your computer use a NVIDIA video card? Do you have the latest driver installed? May need a roll back. But because of your Premiere Elements 10 Windows 7 vs Premiere Elements 10 Windows 8.1, I am not certain this may affect you. Nonetheless, please check it out.

I have Premiere Elements 10, 11, and 12 successfully installed on Windows 8.1 64 bit. The video card is Intel HD Graphics and no problems.
Important to know, "What are the properties of the video that you are importing into the project?" And "What have you or the program set for the project preset based on the properties of those source media?" Based on what I have read of your camera, you are probably dealing with Full 1080p30 (H.264.mov) with Stereo. If so, is your project preset

  • Premiere Elements 10 and Windows 8.1 64 bit System

Every time I try to sign in premere elements 10 appears to stop responding. I have tried reinstalling it since I am running windows 8.1 64 bit system and it appears that it keeps installing the 32 bit version. I am using the second disk that is provided, that it indicated that I should use for the 64 bit system. Any clues as to what is happening?

  • Updated to Premiere CC 2014 and AE CC 2014 and now have blue lines/blue imprints of windows and crashes after 5 minutes of use or on start up

    iMac - 27 ", late 2012
Processor  3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory  32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB
    Software  OS X 10.9.4 (13E28)
After I updated from CS6 to CC 2014, my screen started to display blue lines and/or a blue imprint of a previously closed window, and Premiere CC 2014 and AE CC 2014 began crashing after about five minutes of use. Also, an error message popped up telling me to update my CUDA driver. I took the iMac into Apple and after updating the CUDA driver in store with an Apple associate, the error message went away. They were concerned about the blue lines, and after 3 days of hardware testing, they determined that the screen was not failing, the hardware was in great shape and the lines and crashing must be a software related issue. I took the computer home, uninstalled and reinstalled AE using the appropriate installer, and rebooted. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere using the Premiere installer and rebooted again. During the second restart a blue imprint of the Google Chrome window I had had open before the reboot was imprinted over the welcome/password screen. I typed in my password, opened up the Premiere project I'd been working on and immediately, the always dramatic message "A serious issue as occurred..." popped up. I tried opening it again, saved a new recovery copy and started to work on the project. Five minute later it froze up and I had to force quit. This happened two more times, both roughly after five minutes of use....back to square one.
Obviously, this is seriously hurting my workflow. Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated!

... a blue imprint of the Google Chrome window I had had open before the reboot was imprinted over the welcome/password screen.
The apple guys said this wasn't a hardware error? I don't know software errors to save imprints throughout a restart. If I were to live dangerously and assume anything it would be that you got a failing graphics processor.
Ever tried cloning your boot drive and then doing a complete wipe and re-install of OS and CC?

  • Premiere Pro 2.0 and Windows 7 - Direct Sound Input soundcard driver problem

My XP machine crashed, I reinstalled Premiere Pro 2.0 with Windows 7, and I got the following error: 'The Currently installed soundcard driver does not support Direct Sound Input. Recording audio is not possible.' The soundcard drivers are updated. Any ideas? Here's what I have: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor  3.40 GHz 8 GB, 64 bit. Thank you for looking.

Thanks! Though I upgraded to solve the problem, this is good to know.

VERY VERY VERY EASY (now, when I solved the problem, not before...!!!)
Insert Micropone or any jack in Micropone Input or Aux Input, on your sound card or motherboard !
AND NOW YOU CAN USE PREMIERE PRO 2.0
    Enjoy

  • Premiere Pro 2.0 and Windows 7

Is Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 (and other software included in ProductionStudio PRM 1.0) supported by Windows 7?

    Harm,
Is it really that easy?  So, there is no need to download Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx)?
Of course I would prefer to upgrade to at least Adobe CS4 Production Premium, but the best price I could find was $400 on studica.com.  Or I could upgrade my Adobe Production Studio Premium to CS5 Production Premium for $800.  But, these are not options for me right at this moment.
    Thanks so much,
    Angela

  • I have a notebook that runs windows 8. Last week I bought and downloaded the Adobe Premiere Elements 13 and made a movie. Unfortunately the film was not good, it does not flow naturally. It features short breaks without stopping, which makes the bad quali

Is the current version of Adobe Premiere Elements 13 certified to run on Windows 8?

Thanks for the additional information and background on your Premiere Elements projects.
Here are my suggestions for you to consider when you revisit Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 8 64 bit.
    a. Music. Actually take your iTunes music into iTunes to convert them to .wav version. And, then import the .wav version
    into the Premiere Elements project.
iTunes: How to convert a song to a different file format - Apple Support
    b. If you have a 1440 x 1080 HD anamorphic 16:9 source at 29.97 interlaced frames per second, then you (manually) or the project (automatically) set the project preset to
    NTSC
    AVCHD
    HD1080i30
However, when you go to export the Timeline content, then you select an export choice which uses 1920 x 1080 16:9, not 1440 x 1080 which depends on a 16:9 flag to stretch the 1440 x 1080 to 1920 x 1080 for display after encoding.
    Consider
    Publish+Share
    Computer
    AVCHD
    with preset M2T - H.264 1920 x 1080i30 or MP4 - H.264 1920 x 1080p30.
The missing ingredients in this include frame rate of the original and frame rate for export. Also NTSC or PAL. I have assumed NTSC for now. Curious about the settings used in Premiere Elements 13 tryout on Windows 7 64 bit that you used for comparison to the Windows 8 64 bit results.
    Looking forward to your results.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Did you have the opportunity to update 12 to 12.1 Update yet using an opened project's Help Menu/Update? If not, please do so when you get the opportunity.
For now I will assume that your computer is Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit. Please try the following suggestions to overcome your Premiere Elements Sign In issue.

In case you did not find it, the following is a copy/paste of the Announcement on Premiere Elements 19/NVIDIA GeForce
that appears at the top of this forum.
Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA Video Card Driver Roll Back
If you are a Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card and you are experiencing
Premiere Elements 10 display and/or unexplained program behavior, then your first line of troubleshooting needs to be rolling
back the video card driver version instead of assuring that it is up to date.
Since October 2013 to the present, there have been a growing number of reports about display and unexplained workflow
glitches specific to the Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer has a NVIDIA GeForce video card. If this applies
to you, then the “user to user” remedy is to roll back the NVIDIA GeForce video card driver as far as is necessary to get rid of
the problems. The typical driver roll back has gone back as far as March – July 2013 in order to get a working Premiere
Elements 10. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has taken any corrective action in this regard to date, and none is expected moving forward.
Since October 2013, the following thread has tried to keep up with the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA reports
