Premiere 5.5 won't load-Mac

Was using Premiere last week and all was fine. Took a week vacation and now Premiere won't even load—no hardware or software changes to the computer. Boot seems to stall out at 'Loading ExporterQuickTimeHost.bundle' see photo.
Any ideas?

Usually, when QuickTime stalls on loading, it's because of a bad QuickTime importer component (often an AVI importer). Remove all extra/third-party QuickTime components and try again.

Help! Premiere Elements 7 won't load project

Premiere elements 7 won't load my project. Icon just spins - for about 10 minutes - then it freezes. Figures that I am so close to finishing!!! What are my options? Can I copy the project and open on another computer? Can I download a newer version of Pre and upload the unifinshed project?? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, PrE does not offer that many options, if a Project goes "off."
However, these would be my first steps, and pretty much in this order:
Go to the PrE AutoSaves, and change the View to Details, so you can see the Dates/Times. Try Opening the very latest one. Note: if you have not changed the default, there should be five AutoSave files, and they should be located in the PrE AutoSave folder, in the Project's heirarchy. You want the latest one, not the one with the highest increment. AutoSave 03 could be newer, than AutoSave 05.
If that does not work, then try this - Move your Assets to a new location. Then, Open your original Project. As it loads, you should be presented with "Where is file _____?" and that is what you want.Here is the tricky part. If you have many Assets, and hopefully they are in the same folder, or a few folders, and not spread around the system. I would move all Video Assets to a Video folder, all stills to a Stills folder, all Audio to an Audio folder, etc. as you want to isolate things. When presented with the "Where is file ____?" navigate to the folder with that file, and locate it. PrE will then relink to all used Assets in that folder. This is why I would segregate Assets by type, to isolate the problem, if possible. If all of your Video files load fine, you will get a "Where is file ____?" for the stills, or the music, and repeat. If the Project fails on one Asset type, then you have located the bad Asset by type, and can repeat the exercise, by segregating each file in that Asset type, to a unique folder, navigating to each folder, when prompted, until you find the bad Asset.
In the tests above, never do a Save, but only a Save_As, so as to not overwrite the original PREL file.
Good luck, and hope that it is a bad Asset, and nothing more.

Premiere Pro CC won't load and I can't uninstall it.

Hi, I was using Premiere Pro yesterday and it worked fine. I haven't done any updates or anything. Today I tried to use the software and it doesn't even load the logo. As soon as I open Premiere, Adobe's App Manager pops up on the dock and then goes away. Premier Pro stops loading soon after that.
I'm trying to uninstall the program and it's not even responding. I don't know what else to do......
I'm using a 2011 IMac with OSX Version 10.9.4.

What codec packs do you have loaded? With a straight installation I have had any problems loading my Sony AVCHD 1920 x 1080 files in any version of Premiere. What is your source of your media?

Premiere Elements 8 won't load recently saved project

I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 8 to create a highlight video. I made two videos last year and didn't have this problem but this video is slightly longer. About twenty minutes total consisting of approximately 100 video clips. I've added one more group of clips and not when I try to load the saved project I just get a gray blank screen. The load message finishes but nothing appears. The drop down menus are mostly still grayed out. No good selections except to press load project again. This causes a system error that shuts down the application. Any tips or tricks are appreciated.

Bill, here is the good news.
I updated the Quick Time like you suggested but no help. I updated the video driver but no help. I disabled the hardware acceleration but no help. During this time I realized the problem started after I upgraded McAfee. I remembered the new McAfee Real Time scanning effected my Outlook software. So I disabled the McAfee Real Time scanning and then Premiere Elements 8 would successfully load my saved project. What a relief. I went back and Turned On the McAfee Real Time scanning but changed the setting to only scan programs and documents, not all files as previously set. I'm back in business and really appreciate your help. Thanks a million.

Premiere elements 11 won't load

Premiere element 11 will not load on my Windows 7 PC. Running the adobe premier elements11.exe file has no effect at all.
Any help would be gratefully received!

Did we establish yet if this is a "it worked before but not now problem" or "it never worked" type problem?
Given you have Premiere Elements 11 on Windows 7 (presumed 64 bit)...
Make sure that Premiere Elements 11 is closed. Right click the Taskbar, select Task Manager/Processes, and do an End Process for any Adobe Premiere Elements process that you find opened.
Make sure that you are working with the Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active.
Then...
Go to
Local Disk C
Program Files
Adobe
Premiere Elements
11.0
and, in the 11.0 folder, find the files named Adobe Premiere Elements 11.exe and Adobe Premiere Elements.exe. Double click the Adobe Premiere Elements.exe file and see if Premiere Elements 11 opens. If it does, create a desktop shortcut for it and open the program from it. That choice will have you bypassing the Welcome screen when you open the program.
If the idea goes nowhere in the direction of a solution....
Do the deletion of the BadDrivers.txt file via
Local Disk C
Program Data
Adobe
Premiere Elements
11.0
and in the 11.0 Folder is the BadDrivers.txt file that you delete.
and
Make sure that you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements.
Make sure that you are running the program as Run As Administrator or from a User Account with Administrative
Priviledges.
If no success, at this point, Help Menu/Deactivate within the program, close the program, do an uninstall in Control Panel area,
use ccleaner on the system, then reinstall the program with firewalls and anti-virus disabled. Speaking of anti-virus, at the
very beginning of all this, you might want to disable the anti-virus to determine if it or one of its updates has gotten you into
your present situation.
An, if all else has failed to work, there is always creating a new User Account with Administrative Priviledges and just opening the program there.
Let us review the results from the above and then decide what next if necessary..

Add On...My desktop and laptop both have Intel HD Graphics and present no issues on Windows 7 64 bit and Windows 8 64 bit with a variety of Premiere Elements programs.

Premiere 5.5 won't load

All of a sudden Premiere CS5.5 won't start. CS5 version does.
Tried "run as administrator", did a system rollback to yesterday.
Nothing added, nothing updated. Any thoughts? Not a great way to start/end the day.

Try resetting the preferences and plug-in cache.
Holding Alt (or Option) while starting the application clears preferences.
Adding Shift clears the plug-in cache.

I have reinstalled Adobe Premiere Elements and done the CCleaner and now the program will open but crashes moments later.

Premiere cs5.5 won't load on windos 8

When I load my CS5.5 Disk on Windows 8 everything loads except Premiere. It is just not there!!

PProCS5 and later is ONLY 64bit... is that Win8 or Win8.1?
Do you find the EXE in the program folder?
My CS5 EXE is in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS5
What is your exact brand/model graphics adapter (ATI or nVidia or ???)
What is your exact graphics adapter driver version?
Have you gone to the vendor web site to check for a newer driver?
-If Windows, do NOT rely on Windows Update to have current driver information
-you need to go direct to the vendor web site and check updates for yourself

Premiere Pro CC won't load my project

However I am able to load the project on another computer running Premiere Pro CC. At my home computer the program launches, and I select the project I want, but the assets and sequences don't load into the Premiere windows. However if I open another project (that I have only worked on using my home computer) I have no problems loading the project.

Hi, I am having this exact issue. In my case, both versions of PPro are exactly the same, base version installed from Creative Cloud client with no plugins used.
Project opens with no issues on one pc and wont open on the pc it was originally created on. It does not crash or say 'not responding' but assets and sequences wont load
as Kristine describes. I have tried creating a new project and importing the old one; the assets appear but the program seems to freeze up as I cant interact with anything and
hear the windows ping noise with every click. The project is very simple; a low bitrate .mp4 video with .mp3 and .wav sound effects added.

Premiere Pro CS6 won't load audio volume.

When I open my project I get this:

Everything you need to know:
Mac OSX Snow Leopard
Premiere Pro CS6 (Production Premium)
Project imported from FCP7 XML, although I have removed all effects etc from that import. All filters and adjustements have been made in premiere.
I've copied all the clips into a new timeline, restarted premiere, rebooted, don't know what else to do.
Please help?

For the record I'm having this same problem. Scary, since I made a bunch of audio edits and lost that work.
Definitely smells like a bug. I'm using Xto7 to convert a sequence from FCP X to an XML file CS6 can read; I'm having to run both FCP X and Premiere simultaneously, since Xto7 didn't really do a good job. The problem occured when I switched back and forth between the two, and tried to relink an offline file in my Premiere project (where I am reassembling the sequence). Suddenly the sound would not play. I quit and restarted, and got the error above. Ugh.

Premiere Elements 9 won't load

Hi! I am in desperate need of help. I just purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 9, along with a new PC. It's a Dell Inspiron with an i3 processor, 4 GB memory, 1 TB harddrive and Windows 7 64bit.
Adobe PE 9 opened at first, but then would crash every time I tried to add a theme. Now, even if I click to open a new project, I get a message saying that it has encountered a serious error and must close.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the content. I cannot uninstall the program, because the deactivate button is grayed out. I also tried disabling McAfee. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have taken the following steps, with no luck.
-Updated to Windows 7 Service Pack 1.
-Downloaded the PRE 9 update.
-Ran Disk Cleanup
-Ran Disk defragmenter.
-Updated BIOS software
-Checked for new drivers for audio and graphics.
-Disabled anti virus
-Turned off Windows Indexing
I have 871 GB of free, defragmented space on my hard drive. I am only using one hard drive. All I have tried to do so far with PRE is use photos that I have saved on the hard drive. I haven't even gotten to videos yet!
Here are the two error messages:
"There is no drive in the disk. Please insert a disk into drive\Device\Harddisk3\DR3." (This error message occurs whenever I try to use Instant Movie or Themes.)
"A serious error has occured. The program must shut down." (This happens whenever I click to open a new project.)
I read Bill's help article and think I have done everything he mentioned. Any other suggestions? I was so excited to use this program and really want to get started playing around with it!

Internal Drive won't load Mac OS X, please help!

I am trying to reinstall OS X 10.4 on my macbook, however I get this message: "You cannot install Mac OS X on this volume. Mac OS X cannot start from this volume."
I am having to reinstall on a 160GB 3rd party HD which I bought to replace the stock 60GB. I used super duper some time back to copy the old onto the new, and then stuck it into my Macbook. Everything had been running fine except for two things, one of which was a problem.
First, when I would start up my computer, just a fraction of a second, before the gray apple would show up, it would show a file folder with a question mark on it, but this never bothered me too much.
Second, and more importantly, Boot Camp would never even initialize, saying it could not partition the drive. I ran Disk Utility to no avail.
So now, I have backed up my important files, ran a disk erase, and even tried an external, but nothing is working, please help!!!
I would really like to have my computer up and running again, and even more so to have Boot Camp operational.

I knew you knew what you were talking about, but I was confused because I was unaware that there was a difference in selecting the volume and the disk, and so I wasn't seeing a partition tab, but I figured it out. Power PC G5 won't load Mac OS X...

I have a Power PC G5 that is running the latest version of OS X. I am able to go through startup with no issue - but when it finishes, all i see is an empty desktop with only my spotlight icon showing in the upper right hand corner. I can't click on spotlight at all because when I hover over it I get the beautiful rainbow beach ball..
I have done some restarts using my power button, but the same thing happens each time..

If only... you have a backup and an emergency boot drive; had tried Safe Boot at first chance; boot into Single User Mode (Command S) and run FSCK.
Applejack would help here too. Runs in SUM also (after running FSCK is best) to then delete cache files/folders; swap files; check for corrupt plists; repair permissions. And it should be possible to just rename or move your ~/Library/Preferences to "Preferences.old" and start fresh.
Have you tried starting from your Tiger DVD and repairing the drive at all? or booting from FW backup clone? might want to set one up if you haven't already.
