  • Crash while burning to blue ray

While burning a blue ray disc it's getting all the way through the media encodeing but then crashes and does not finish burning the disc. For the heck of it I put the disc in my blue ray player and it will not recocnize the disc.
Also when I burn a standard DVD it will get to 96% complete and then I get an error that says that the target device is not compatible, but when I put the disc in  a DVD player is plays just fine. Is there a problem here or should I just live with it?

For the moment here's some more information that may help. I had a real computer guru work on this computer, it's better then it was but I really feel that it just is not up to the task for video editing.
    Hewlett-Packard Company
    model; a6330f
    processor; AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ 2.80 GHz
    memory (RAM); 3.00 GB
    system type 32-bit Operation System
And a great big sticker on the side from Hewlett Packard that says "The perfect computer to edit you pictures, video and music". Yeah right...  From the start I could not get this computer to edit any video (it came with Microsoft Movie Maker), it would lock up every one or two clicks of the mouse. That's why bought the Adobe Premiere Elements 8 program, but it locked up too. At least now that my friend worked on it I can do some editing before it locks up, and now I can burn a standard DVD (it wouldn't do that before either, the verdict? HP installed pile of junk for a DVD drive so I updated it to Blue ray since I had to replace it). Now it will barely burn a DVD (see what I said about it above) and I don't have a prayer of getting a blue ray disk to burn. I tried it again today, it encodes all of the menues just fine and most of the media too. Right at the end the program just crashes and askes me to send in a crash report. Very frustrateing.
I really think that the biggest problem is that this computer just does not have enough processor, but I'm not very good with computers so I really don't know.
I need to read your article...

  • IDVD 7.0.4 crashes while burning disc/image

When I try to 'burn' my project to disk or 'save as image' iDVD 7.0.4 crashes without any warnings after rendering the menues right at the beginning of the video render.
Main video in project is AIC (758x592, Quality: middle, Progressiv/Linear PCM, 48 kHz, 16 Bit) exported by iMovie'09 with some chapter markers and video-enhancement as recommended in the forum for best quality and then imported into iDVD.
Earlier project shared to iDVD directly from iMovie burned without problems. Can the codec be the issue? Dropzones use certain parts of the same videofile and they render without problems, I can see them completed in the iDVD-project-package.
    Additional questions:
    1. why is the file exported with iMovie that large (also with successful project; eg.: orig. file 3, 98 GB, exported file 11,95 GB)? (chapter markers and video-enhancement for the whole file?) Makes archiving a trouble.
    2. is there a way to replace the main video in the iDVD-project without distroying the manual menu-/text-/... edits (more titles on one menu, etc.) I made earlier? When I import a whole new videofile in another format (for testing the codec issue), iDVD takes the chapters once more and creates the template-conform menues again, partly overlaying my older ones.

Just to offer condolences. I have been greatly disappointed in iDVD -- crashes more often than burns successfully. Lots of wasted time waiting for a burn to be successful, only to find toward the end of the process, I get a msg "rendering" a problem, or couldn't complete, or crashes and then I have to stand on my head to get the DVD to eject. Have the issue both with movies I've downloaded to iPhoto and with photos downloaded to iPhoto that I've turned into Slideshows. Wish I had awnsers for both of us -- or however many of us that are out there....

  • Premiere crashes while converting

    Hello,
i've got a Problem with Premiere and I hope you can help me.
I finished a project for one of my customers with an older version of CC (~ march 2014). Now I want to chance some things in the project with CC2014.0.
Premiere opens the project but shows, that the project has to be converted. After that the program crashes every time(screenshot) while identifing media and says the program doesn't work anymore.
I've got several backup files of the project but it happens with all of them.
    Thanks for your help!

Unless the things you want to change require features that were added in CC2014, my advice is to make the revisions in CC (7.x).
If you uninstalled it when you installed CC2014, you can reinstall through Creative Cloud. The various major versions can coexist on your computer. I have CS5.0, 5.5, 6.0, CC7.x, and CC2014 on this computer.
If you absolutely need to do the revisions in CC2014, then please provide a copy of the project. Even without the assets, we might be able to figure out why it won't load. Even if we can, however, I can't promise that we'll either be able to fix the project so that it loads in 2014.0.1 or that a fix will make it into the next release. You can also try to troubleshoot it yourself by loading the project in CC, removing parts of it and saving a copy, then see if you can open the copy in CC2014. That way you may be able to isolate the part, perhaps a single sequence or clip or effect, that is causing the problem.

  • Crashing while burning

I am facing the same problem as Schucon with iDVD6. I spend hours waiting for my iMovie/IDVD6 to burn on the inserted blank CD. It goes through all the processes and crashes just before the "burn" step at "enabling the audio". I then have to force quit and start over, only for it to crash again at exactly the same step.
Please help, this is very frustrating.Thanks.

Hi Sue and Len, thank you very much for your suggestions. I tried them and it worked. I left it to burn overnight, put the computer on 'Never Sleep' and ignored the fact that it looked 'dead' during the Audio Encoding phase... and IT WORKED! I couldn't believe it, I had been working on it for a few days unsuccessfully.
All the reward goes to Len Geoff and Sue, thank you very much!

I'm trying to burn a DVD and it gets to Processing DVD Menu (2 of 2)(I think that's the wording) and just freezes.
I've let it sit there for 10 to 20 extra minutes and nothing happens. I get the "beach ball" every once in a while yet nothing else. I can't force quit and the only way to get out of it is to hold down the power button until the MBP turns off.

You can try resetting the SMU and the PRAM but you should also consider the possibility that the drive no longer works.

  • Premiere crashes while opening project

    Hello Adobe Premiere community,
My project (which I was about to picture-lock) cannot be opened. After opening Adobe Premiere (or simply double-clicking on the project icon) the normal loading bar appears:
The loading speed is as fast as it was previously. Sadly, when the loading is completed a error prompt appears (without any error numbers etc.).
    ***TRANSLATION:
***Adobe Premiere Pro CC stopped working.
***Windows is searching for a solution to resolve the problem.
and then sadly no solution is found:
    ***TRANSLATION:
***Adobe Premiere Pro CC stopped working.
***The program stopped working because a problem appeared. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Yesterday the program and project were working perfectly fine (using adobe premiere was the last thing done on this laptop).
Although my laptop is not extremely fast (i5; 8gb RAM) I doubt that is the problem because it worked fine before.
Do you have any suggestion about how to resolve this situation? Can it be linked with having only 2,3GB left on the main system hard drive?
    Please help, thank you.
    Sincerely,
    Aleksander

My Windows computer had several Microsoft updates yesterday... did you have updates this week?
If yes, it MAY be that some Microsoft change had made your graphics adapter driver to out of date
•What is your exact brand/model graphics adapter (ATI or nVidia or ???)
•What is your exact graphics adapter driver version?
•Have you gone to the vendor web site to check for a newer driver?
•For Windows, do NOT rely on Windows Update to have current driver information
•-you need to go direct to the vendor web site and check updates for yourself
    •ATI Driver Autodetect http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool
    •nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Does your laptop have dual graphics adapters?
Go to the Windows Control Panel and select Hardware and Sound and then select Device Manager... In Device manager you click the + sign to the left of Display Adapters... and see if 2 are listed

  • Unknown error 2130906112 while burning DVD in Premiere Elements

Hi am trying to burn a DVD using Premiere Elements 3.0. My computer will go through the lengthy process of attempting to burn the CD. At the very end, the drive pops the DVD out and I get a message that states: Unknown error 2130906112. I have burned successfully in the past, but am unable to now. I have tried to do this about 7 times with this specific project and have had no success. I have used two different types of DVD+R (Memorex and Verbatim). My project is approximately 56 minutes long. Any help and/or advice is greatly appreciated!!!!

    Great news!
I just can't see which is highlighted while doing so. I think it has to do with the template I chose in Premiere Elements while designing the movie.
The lack of the Sub-picture Highlights (the official name for the indicators of which Button one has navigated to), could be caused by several things:
1.) the inability of the PS3 to adequately display them. Like I said earlier, most people, that I know, use the PS3's for BD playing. The specs. are different for those, as opposed to the DVD-specs. I just do not know about the PS3.
2.) could be a problem with the Template. Which one did you choose? I'll be glad to check it out (if PrE4 has it) and report any issues that I find. Did you modify this Template, say in Photoshop/PSElements? Could be that one of those modifications turned ON all Sub-picture Highlights.
3.) could be a problem with the "authoring" phase of the Project. This is after the editing, and is where one assembles the Assets (Menus, etc.) and does the navigation. As PrE is semi-automatic, it does most of this for the user, with little intervention. Still, there could be ways to accidently mess something up here, though it's highly unlikely. Now, in my authoring program, all is done by hand, so I have hundreds of opportunities to make a mess of a Project - PrE shields the user from most of these.
    Now, to your questions:
Can I use the Img software for all burning projects including CDs?
Yes. You can do most forms of burning, including CD's (Audio, Video or Data), so long as you have the right types of files.
What is the best way to organize and store my video files?
This is the $64,000 question. So much depends on what one has, how they are likely to need to access them and what equipment they either own, or wish to purchase. I'll give you my scheme, though it might be overkill for you. Still, you can get an idea and are free to adapt any part of it for your needs.
I work with several types of Assets: original (or stock) still images, Captured (stock, or client-supplied) motion, Audio (original, stock or extracted from the previously mentioned motion Assets, Menus (Templates and original creations), Titles (same) and then my Projects.
I keep the originals on both a NAS (Networked Attached Storage) drive that is networked to all of my computers, and also on external storage HDD's. I also back up to DVD-Data discs. For Captured, original Video, I also store all tapes and do NOT overwrite/reuse any. I only work with Copies of any of the Assets (the Captures are probably the exception, as I have the tapes, should I need to re-Capture).
I use several media browsers to organize my Assets. I then locate those necessary for a Project, and create a folder structure for that Project. Copies of the Assets are placed in that folder structure, beneath the Project name. Again - these are Copies, in case something happens.
Depending on what I need to do, the Scratch Disks (set with Edit>Preferences) are usually kept within the Project's folder structure too. Same for Exports. As I use a different program to author DVD's (Adobe Encore), I create my Encore Project within this structure too. The files that I Export from PrPro (my NLE of choice), are the ones that I then Import into Encore for authoring the Project.
When done, I Archive the editing Project and also the Encore Project, to another external drive. I will always make one additional copy of my output DVD as a backup, as I can use ImgBurn, or another utility, to Copy DVD.
After all of this, I can then safely Delete my entire Project folder from the system. Remember, it contains no origianl Assets (other than Captured materail), as I have everything on the NAS, plus an external, plus the backup DVD-Data disc. Right now, I have about 30 1 - 2TB external HDD's that I use. Some are for backup, and some are to allow me to move my Projects between my laptop or my workstation.
Hope that this helps. As I said, it's probably overkill, but much of the work that I do is for clients. If they come back with a change, or a problem, I want to be able to help them immediately.
    Good luck and good questions,
    Hunt

  • Premiere CC 7.2.2 crashes when trying to export via Media Encoder and Encore crashes while DVD build

    Hello,
    My computer is a:
    2x Intel Xeon Processor E5-2650 (2000 MHz, 20MB);
    16x Kingston DIMM 8 GB PC3-8500 ECC Reg.;

1x 240 GB OCZ Vertex 3 SSD (system disk)
    Tyan S7050GM4NR motherboard
    Windows 7
I freshly installed Windows 7 and the CC-Apps PremierePro, After Effects, Media Encoder, Photoshop and Speedgrade.
When I try to export any video from premiere to the media encoder premiere crashes without any error message. The problem is not the project: I created several new projects and even if I only have one Graphic-File/Bars/h264-video in the timeline that I try to export: premiere crashes. When I export directly from premiere it works, but there is no chance to go via media encoder. The strange thing is that I can export from after effects to the media encoder without any problem...
Second Problem: Encore crashes also. Everytime I try to build a DVD => Encore crashes
    Does anybody have an idea?
Here is what I already tried:
Yesterday it worked fine today it crashes when I export from premiere via media encoder.
    1. Bars+Tone => export => crash
    2. Video Project with 2 short h264-files => export => crash
    3. I used Software only renderer => crash

  • Premiere Pro and Media Encoder crash while rendering H.264

Very recently, a problem's popped up where Premiere Pro and Media Encoder (CC) will crash while rendering H.264.
It's only while rendering H.264 - other formats seem to work fine.
And I don't mean that it returns an error, I mean it hard crashes with a Windows "Adobe Premiere Pro CC has stopped working" popup.
It doesn't crash at a consistent time during the render, even on the same project. Occasionally, it won't crash at all, but this is usually not the case.
I've tried disabling CUDA and my overclock to no avail. Please help!

On the topic of opening a project on the exact same version of Premiere Pro CC 2014 (yes it is definitely up to date, and the 2014 version), to overcome this export crash problem that ZachHinchy has brought up - you can't. Technically speaking, one should easily be able to open a Premiere Pro CC 2014 project from one system on another system running the exact same up to date, legitimate version of Premiere Pro CC 2014 without any kind of error. But for some reason, this has been disallowed(?) by Adobe. It has facepalm written all over it. Does anyone agree that this is at least a little bit silly?
I have tried exporting a Final Cut Pro XML from my project to try and open the sequence at uni on a Mac, so I can render my project when I finish my edit. It half works - the clips are there, but the sequence is gone - i.e. 12 hours of painstaking sequencing and micro-edits that had me at several points in time wanting to insert my hand through my monitor with enough force to make a large hole. I really cannot afford redo this sequence, as my assignment is due tomorrow, and I have to work at 6 oclock in the morning, so I also cannot afford to stay up till the early hours of tomorrow morning. Wish me luck that some miraculous event has taken place overnight that will somehow allow me to just open my project, on the same version of Premiere, on a Mac, without hassle. (Apple OS is not friendly to anything but its own selfish nature, so I am having doubts).
Adobe please, if you can do anything at all to help, you will save my assignment, and my faith will be restored. Otherwise, I'll just get my money back and buy Final Cut instead.
    I cant even
If I find a way to fix either of these problems, I will post straight away.

  • Premiere Pro CC Crashes While Rendering With Mercury OpenCL

    Hi guys!
Every time I try to render a ~2 min video in H.264 using the OpenCL renderer which is fully supported on my 7970 (2x Crossfire) the program crashes while rendering. (Usually around 28%)
If I switch to Mercury Software renderer, it renders perfectly.
I am currently using AMD 13.6beta2 drivers, and PPCC is fully updated, any suggestions?
Additionally, for the half minute that it tries to render with OpenCL before crashing, by checking the GPU utilization % in AMD catalyst overdrive, it seems to not be utilizing the gpu at all... And then promtly crashes of course...
I hope I can fix this problem soon... Really dissapointed with this adobe product.
    Thanks a lot!

Rendering without any effects ----------> Still Crashes
Disabling Crossfire ----------------------- > Still Crashes
    Reinstalling Premiere ---------------------> Still Crashes
Physically Removing the 2nd GPU -----> Works
So, is there any way I can get this to work while having both GPUs physically installed in the computer?
It would be quite a hastle to remove the 2nd one each time I need to use PP!
One odd thing also is that from watching the gpu utilization while rendering H.264 1080p, the GPU is only being used to about 30%, and very intermittently.... I would imagine things would accelerate quite a lot if it actually utilized the whole GPU!
    Thank you very much guys!
