Premiere and Photoshop Elements 10 Sign-in issue.

Hi.
Can anyone tell me why when i am running Elements 10 or Premiere 10 i am not able too sign in to my Adobe ID account?.No information comes up in the organiser or editer screens as i believe it should give my name at top of page aswell as log-on details at bottom of page.
Would appreciate any help in this matter regards Mark.

Yes, for one of those mysterious adobe reasons photoshop.com is only available in the US/Canada, so that's why you don't see the sign in. You can use photoshopshowcase.com for many of the functions of photoshop.com, but not for syncing/online backup.

I upgraded to Premiere and Photoshop Elements 12 on 23rd September

I upgraded to Premiere and Photoshop Elements 12 on 23rd September from Premiere elements 4.
Issue 1
Two days later Elements 13 comes out so I am immediately out of date and would need to pay the same amount again if I want to upgrade to 13. That's a bit unkind isn't it?
A warning to wait a couple of days to upgrade would have been a bit nicer customer care. No?
Issue 2
A further problem that's blocking me though - I upgraded by download and now can't install it to my home computer because all the links are to download 13 - where can I get a download of 12 now??

I just downloaded and paid for Premiere elements but now want the combined Premiere and Photoshop elements. How do I do this?

My headline says it all. I would like to turn my Premiere Elements order into the combined Premiere and Photoshop Elements download offer. I have already paid for Premiere Elements but would like to take advantage of the combined offer for only another $40 or so. How do I do this?
I only downloaded and paid for the Premiere Elements package about two days ago.

Did you purchase Premiere Elements 13 from Adobe Direct? If so, are you within 30 days of that purchase? If the answer to both of those questions is Yes and it appears to be, then you should explore

Under the conditions mentioned at the beginning of this reply, I am speculating that Adobe should be able to give you your money back for the Premiere Elements 13, allowing you to purchase Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements which are sold together, but are still really standalone products. How Adobe opts to do that is at its discretion.

Premiere and Photoshop Elements Downloads

Downloaded 2 files each of Premiere and Photoshop Elements, but they will not open. Two files each are in their separate folders but when I click on either I get a message that the program to open them can not be found.

Thanks John for your response. I found the problem after realizing that I was trying to open partially downloaded files. I downloaded again (complete) and they extract with no problem. Thanks again.

Styles in Premiere and Photoshop Elements not the same!

I have Elements Premiere and Photoshop v11. I created a menu using an image with some text in Premiere for a video.. Later on I decided to duplicate the effort using Photoshop.. In Premiere I used a text style called "Lithos Gold Strokes 52". Now, in Photoshop they styles are called Graphics and the Text Graphics doesn't have this Style.. So they don't seem to be the same across both applications. How can I get the "Lithos Gold Strokes 52" Style in Photoshop?

After finally having solved this problem, I thought I'd post the link to the original solution which has been archived. For me, the important thing was to delelet all registry entries related to Elements, rebooting and starting Elements again.

Premiere and Photoshop Elements Stopped working

Been using both for a year. Over the last couple weeks every time I would start one up I'd get the Adobe free trial or subscribe to the Cloud option. Finally, neither (of the paid for programs) would load. Nothing changed on my system. No new software. No other problems. If it just stopped working that would be one thing. The fact that I started getting the sign up screen to trial or subscribe right before it stopped working leaves one to wonder, doesn't it?

Good to hear from you. Hope that we can help you get your Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 7 64 bit working again.
My Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 7 64 bit experiences were like yours much of last year. For me, Photoshop Elements 12 was months without resolution and each had its problems with Sign In.
1. I strongly encourage you to take the opportunity to click on License This Product if you get that tryout dialog popping up and then to follow the instructions to get the program activated. There is no escaping the Sign In which comes with an automatic registration. That is an easy and quick resolution.
2. Please review the the following to determine if you feel that these choices and continuing choices seem relevant to your situation

When you do the downloads and installs, have you been disabling the antivirus and firewall(s)? This factor seems to have the most impact

of the examples in one of the blog posts cited above?
Think about the merits of troubleshooting one program at a time. Maybe we might get lucky, and one fix will fix both at the same time.
Often after install/reinstall, deletion of settings files in Photoshop Elements 12/Elements Organizer 12/Premiere Elements 12 might still bring some
resolution.

Has anyone experienced that Organizer in Premiere is using the data in the Organizer of Photoshop Elements? I loaded over 15,000 photos in PSE and now they are showing up in Premiere where I don't want them and it is really gumming it up. Very Slow and with memory issues. Called Adobe and after the tech researched it he said the two programs are linked and there wasn't anything I could do about that and suggested I not use the Organizer, just go straight to Edit and New Project. Anyone had problems from this lame Adobe programming?

I have a well maintained computer and I saw the same slugishness with the Organizer.
I always use a different catalog in PRE than I do in PSE.
You will need to create a new catalog in the PSE Organizer. Then when you open PRE, from the file menu you can choose to select a differnet catalog. Find the one you just created. PRE will need to restart and when it does you will have a blank organizer, which will get filed as you add media.

Adobe Premiere and Photoshop Elements deal question

So last week I bought Adobe Premiere Elements and I love it but I just found out that there was a deal where you could buy Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop Elements for $149. I really want Photoshop Elements but if I buy it individually I have to pay $99. I was wondering is there a way to just add it on to the Premeiere Elements I just bought? Or am I stuck having to pay the $99 for Photoshop elements?

You're making it much more complicated than it has to be. If you make a shortcut for the DNG converter on your windows desktop or for a mac, a desktop alias or put the converter in the Dock, you can just drop a single file on it. The converter will open and you can ignore the stuff in the window except for the destination for the converted file, and click Convert.

Cant install premiere and photoshop elements 10

I purchased the disc bundle for premiere elements/photoshop elements 10 and installed this software on my iMac utilizing the installer fix 1. When trying to install same disc on my MacBook with the same process I get an "installer failed to initialize" message. I have just upgraded the MacBook from iGB to 2Gb ram. Help???

Not on network and virus software not running.
Trial software downloaded successfully but install from both disc and downloaded versions failed on my Mac Book (2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB ram). Tried ‘install fixer” and changed date/time.
note: had successful install from disc on my iMac using the recommended ‘install fixer”.

Premiere and Photoshop Elements registration acceptance?

the above mentioned products are accepted after the entry of their serial numbers and the response is, that the server will take about 30 minutes to update the account. But the products are never listed, even after hours. Reentry of the serials is possible again, but the reaction is the same. In this manner both products cannot be used.
It seems to be a server issue, hope they get fixed again. Thank you for your help!

It is still not listed on the account page, but the "this is a testversion" banner has disappeared in Premiere Elements!
The Sign Out option has become available. Still I hope that it will be listed in the account aswell, but so far it works, thank you very much!

Learning Premiere and Photoshop is SOOO painful, please help...

I am a student who needs to take a school DVD and take pictures from it. I need to type, "what is this?" on the picture and save it. I need to type "It's a suchandsuch" and save it. So now I have two pictures. One with the question, and one with the question AND answer. I thought Premiere and Photoshop Elements were going to make my life sooo easy!!
I downloaded versions 9 (because you can't download 10, yet) on Sunday and realized it would do what I needed -although getting a picture out of Premiere 9 was ridiculously convoluted. I purchased the combo pack of versions 10 and played around with it long enough to realize they fixed the picture export problem and it was going to work well. I exported a picture from Premiere to Photoshop. I added text to it and got it the way I wanted. Then I saved it. Then I added the second line of text to it and saved it. Everything was rosy. All this functionality was over on the right side of the screen under the "edit" tab. I also noticed an option to save a text "style" or "format" or something along those lines so I could re-use it on the 100 pictures I will be editing.
Then I installed the "content pack" -all 2.45GB while I was doing something else. Now when I'm in Photoshop I don't have the same options under the "Edit" tab on the right. The text options are at the top of the screen and don't include a way to save a text "style". Perhaps it is called something other than style in Photoshop?? It's a new "language" to me... When I google "how do I reuse a text style in photoshop" in Google I get some crazy save a "shape" business, and a work-around from 2005 is number 4 in the Google search list. This is amazing to me. Of course I tried this because the help section was useless within Photoshop.
I get that this may all revolve around me not speaking the right "language" so I am unable to communicate to the Adobe "Help" gods what I am trying to accomplish.
The next thing I am going to attempt to accomplish is importing all the pictures I make in Photoshop back into Premiere and have them play as a movie with a 3 second pause on each picture. It seems logical and easy enough... Fingers crossed...
I also understand the Adobe tools may be overkill for what I am trying to accomplish, but NOBODY has anything good to say about Roxio or Nero video editing products in the $100 range, and everyone raves about Adobe. As a student the combo was $118 so it seemed like an opportunity to learn something new. I'm a former I.T. person who tried to use Photoshop about 10 years ago, but I just didn't "get it". I was not able to think like an artist or someone who grew up on Photoshop so I finally just abandoned it and used Irfanview for all my simpleton photo edits for the last 10 years. I am now reminded of why I gave up on the products way back when, but I am hoping I am older, wiser, and more patient -and that someone here will help me.

Thank you again. I get that you can put as many text layers as you want, but what I couldn't get is how to take that layer from one image and put it on a second image.
I finally got it to do what I wanted by right clicking the text layer in the layer pallet and left clicking "duplicate layer" then it asks me for a destination and allows me to select the 2nd image!! It would be so much easier if I could drag the layer to a different image or even right click the layer, left click "copy, then right click a new image and left click "paste".
Thank you so much for all your help. I never did figure out how to do it the "Microsoft" way (saving a text style and applying it to new text), but it looks like it will work so I can move forward. These DVD's take hours to watch so I thought I could save time by taking pictures of the important parts, but I've spent hours so far trying to get to that point! It's a long semester so hopefully it will pay off!
It amazes me that this is so tedious. I have to:
Export an image from Premiere as a .BMP
Open the .BMP in Photoshop
Save the .BMP as a .PSD
Duplicate a layer (that includes my text style) from a different .PSD to the new .PSD
Change the characters in the text to what I want it to say in this image
In my simpleton view I should be able to:
Export an image from Premiere as a .PSD
Click the "Text" tool and click the document
Type the characters I want
Click "My Custom Text Format" button that formats the text to a style I previously saved
Or even:
Export an image from Premiere as a .PSD
Right click a text layer from a different .PSD and left click copy
Righ click in my new .PSD and left click "paste"
Change the characters in the text to what I want it to say in this image
I've got a long way to go!! Layers. Hmm. I wouldn't have thought, but I suppose it makes sense.

Premiere Elements 7.0 and Photoshop Elements 7.0

I currently run Premiere Elements 4.0 and Photoshop Elements 3.0 on a Dell Pentium 4 Dimension 8300 with 3 gigs of Ram with Windows XP. I am considering upgrading to Premiere Elements 7.0 and Photoshop Elements 7.0. Will Premiere Elements 7.0 allow me to import my Premiere Elements 4.0 projects, or do I have to keep PE 4.0 on my computer? Also, will Photoshop Elements 7.0 import my Photoshop Elements 3.0 Collections (as created) or will I have to re-Tag my photos as well as organize them into Collections again? Thank you.

In general I think that your PSE 3 tags and collections will be carried forward when your catalog is upgraded from PSE 3 to PSE 7. What were "Collections" in PSE 3 will become "Albums" in PSE 7.
Now it is very important that in the PSE 3 Organizer BEFORE your catalog is upgraded, you do
-- Reconnect All Missing Files
-- Catalog Recover
These commands are available from the File menu of the PSE 3 Organizer. They "clean up" your existing PSE 3 catalog and a clean catalog can avoid many potential problems during the upgrade process.
You did not ask about any "Creations" in PSE 3 and I do not think the Creations (Slide Show or Photo Book is an example of a creation) will carry forward from PSE 3 to PSE 7. So it is good if the info that you do need is the PSE 3 Collection rather than a PSE 3 Creation.

The 2 I suggested above are on that list.
Be aware that the format and folder locations of the PSE catalog changed significantly between PSE 5 and PSE 6 (the 1st techdoc discuses this), so as you are migrating from PSE 3 to PSE 7 there will be some difference and how much you notice differences may depend on how deep you went in to PSE 3. The second techdoc, which discusses placing the PSE catalog in a non-standard folder location is one example of such a case. I say this not to scare you, but instead to make you aware of the potential for differences if there is initially a glitch in the upgrade process on your system.

Cannot Install the Raw 7.3 update for Premiere Elements 11 and photoshop Elements

I get an error message when I try to update the Raw 7.3 update for Premiere Elements 11 and photoshop Elements. It says to run support adviser which I did, but it says that it could not detect any problems.

You're allowed a maximum of two activations per license. So you can install them on Mac/Mac, Win/Win or Mac/Win.
