Premiere CC (2014) Blue Screen Restart During Export

I have been having an issue where my PC will enter a blue screen and restart when exporting a video in the newest version of Premiere. I tried creating a smaller sequence, rather than the 15 minute export I was doing, and the same BSOD appeared during the export. I am exporting to h.264 and I have tried changing the GPU acceleration to software only. I ran checks on my hardware and nothing came up. Games are running fine, I even was able to export a video in AVID... I don't know what it could be and I even tried re-installing Premiere.

  • Premiere Pro CC Blue Screen Crash on Export or Playback

I just  bought a new hard drive, reformatted, and thought maybe this time I'll evaluate Creative Cloud because I've been wanting to purchase but have been holding back.
I signed up for the trial and installed Premiere Pro CC.
Well the application gives me a blue screen of death and hard reboot every time after either a few minutes of project playback/scrubbing or a few seconds after rendering. Same blue screen if I just open Media Encoder and try to export a Premiere sequence from there. No crashing with Photoshop CC, even when manipulating 3D Extrusion layers.
I contacted chat support and they said this avenue is my only option for support because I haven't bought yet. Well I have a hard time buying something I know doesn't work from the beginning...
    My setup:
Freshly installed Windows 7x64 SP1 w/updates and latest drivers.
    Nvidia GTX 770 2GB w/ latest nvidia driver 334.89
    Intel Core-i7 970, 12GB DDR3, all stock timing, no O/C.
Passes all stress test and diagnostic test, no hardware faults found.
I suspect this is CUDA / MCP related issue. Maybe the GTX 770 and/or drivers 334.89 are not compatible.

  • Premiere cc 2014 don't let me export thru media encoder its stop and close the software after few min

premiere cc 2014 don't let me export thru media encoder its stop and close the software after few min

Peferling... I have a positive update! I went to the area that typically made things die. I noticed it was at the tail end of where I inserted a sequence into another sequence. I also noticed I had three tracks in that section with graphics. So I copied all the tracks from the inserted sequence... then removed the inserted sequence and re-inserted the actual tracks. At this point I no longer had an inserted sequence. I then simplified the three tracks of graphics into one. Re-applied my transitions and did last tweaking. I once again tried exporting as H.264 HD... et voila! It worked! Something must have been breaking it.
For now I'm okay and have been able to export into other formats. I want to thank you so much for your input. Regards, Nelson

  • Blue screen restart

Blue screen restart when I use numbers and try to multitask. Is apple fixing this soon?

Safe Boot by restarting your computer while holding down the "shift" key.  Safe booting disables all nonessential processes, often times allowing you to start up when you would otherwise crash.
As of OS X 10.5.6 Safe Boot deletes the dynamic loader shared cache location in the /var/db/dyld directory.  A corrupt cache here can cause the blue screen crash.  Once you restart normally, the cache will be recreated.  This should take care of the issue.

  • Encore CS4 Missing Frames/Stops Starts  and Blue Screen Crashes During Playback

I'm opening Premiere Pro CS4 with the default presets of HDV Capture, HDV 1080i30 software only mode. I'm capturing from my Canon HV20 using firewire HDV out 1440 x 1080. All goes well during the editing process but when I Dynamic Link and playback in Encore CS4 I observe dropped frames or stop and starts in Encore timeline sequence. At times I may even crash Encore with a Blue Screen. While still running Encore I can go back to Premiere Pro and play the timeline sequence with no issues. I will mention that I have the Matrox RT.X2 installed. But when starting a project I'm doing software only and disabling RT.X2 hardware playback. If I remove all effects in the timeline sequence and then Dynamic link to Encore the playback is normal with no effects. I did exported the Premiere Pro CS4 project using Adobe Media Encoder CS4 with a setting of MPEG 2 Blu-ray 1440 x 1080i 29.97 High Quality. I than import this MPEG2 back into Adobe Encore CS4 and it plays without dropping frames or hang-ups.

    Try to remember this:
Encore "Tries" to playback from premiere pro.  If you have a full set of previews available, it will play those, but you are probably seeing a lot of dropped frames and choppy video if your previews in premiere are set pretty low.  What you can do to combat this--in my experience--is export your video from premiere into a whole file in full format (in a non-lossy format with full frames, and in it's proxy equivalent;  I use Prores LT for many projects, and export that as a final output from premiere), then have that encode in an h.264 format (which will maximize smooth motion and quality playback).  Now... ...In your encore project, you should be outside of your original formats and in the intermediary that encore will recognize, so you should have it "Locate transcoded file".  Once you have done so, it will playback that movie in the preview.  I've done it.  With CS6 and 4gb ram with a vidcard at 256mb and a core2duo 2.16ghz, it plays fine.  With CS4 the encoding takes a while, and if you go to dvd, even longer for compression to work properly.  I use Compressor to output AVCHD .264 stream and an AC3 file.  When I locate the transcode for BD, I locate the .264 file first, then I get asked for the AC3 file.  This allows me to import them both, and have Encore encode them into the transport stream without transcoding.  I use Distributed processing to get the job done quickly, as I have minimal access to several computers and have connected them by that method for a Render Farming setup.  It works well.  With a hardware based device playing back your files, you won't see the same performance in Encore.  It has to make two hops already to get to your video, and adding a third (goes from encore to Premiere, then to codec, then plays normally;  third step is to external hardware, which eats up processing like crazy when it has to come all the way back to an encoding output to screen through encore, adding more steps for the system along the way) really can slow down the performance in Encore.  IF you take the Steps out by encoding a finished playback stream, Encore will handle it quickly with it's own processing.  It really does work well.  If you don't like it, make your changes in Premiere, then re-encode with your hardware and make an h.264 file for encore again.  You can use AME, but you'll always get standard Blu-ray (old file-stream format; lesser res and quality).  You can use Compressor to make AVCHD which allows for 264 output that is PSF or progressive that is interpreted as simultaneous fields (fake interlace), or even solid progressive formatting for AVCHD compatible players, and you can render-farm it to speed up the encoding process.

  • Premiere CC 2014 causing auto-restart?

    I have a MacPro 3,1 with 10.10 and 32GB RAM.
During editing in Premiere CC 2014, the computer has auto-restarted twice in the past hour.  Both times, I was doing something different in Premiere (dragging several clips forward in time & rendering all video) so I'm unsure as to what triggered it.  The footage is stable and on a clean, problem-free external RAID.  I also noticed that now, two of my 4GB DIMMs are not recognized. (note: all DIMMs have tested positively with Rember, and are of the same manufacturer)  In the meantime, I have removed the two DIMMs in question and now have four DIMMs on the top riser, two on bottom.  The two slots that have caused problems seem to be fine now, but with every restart, things changes—that's why I do not believe the issue to be the actual DIMMs themselves.
I have the crash report and need to rule out issues in the crash report if there are any.  I will post the report if the smarter people out there believe it to be necessary.  I HOPE the problem is with Premiere, the RAM and not one of the risers.

I had a similar problem with Arri Amira Prores 4444 footage and found out the cause from the Arri website:
"When AMIRA footage is ingested into Premiere Pro, the appropriate LUT from the camera is automatically applied as a Lumetri effect, which can be toggled off if necessary."
The way to switch it off is to right-click the imported master clip(s) and go "Remove Masterclip Effects" , the cause of the baked-in look.
    Hope that helps.

  • Blue Screen & Restart when trying to shut down

I've been having this problem the past week or so where when I try to shut down windows, I'll get a little blue screen error after the "shutting down" screen (literally a split second), then a restart of my computer. I can never just shut it down completely anymore, I have to wait for it to restart and then shut it off manually. Now from previous knowledge I know that a blue screen and a restart generally means theres a hardware or software error, but I'm wondering what's causing it to do this. I recently installed an external DVD drive...could that be the problem? I don't know. If anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to fix this, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

this seems like a different problem than the display whine, but a windows blue screen can happen when a +/- incompatible driver is installed. I don't know if you needed to intstall something with the external drive? Maybe de-install related software and check if there are some update patches from Microsoft.

  • Blue screen appears during start up

Hi! My macbook before it bacame a blue screen, shows that the start up disk is almost full but i ignored it...and then suddenly it doesn't start up anymore and shows only blue screen with arrow...pls help! I don't know much about computers! :(

    Boot up in Safe Mode.
Startup your Mac in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot takes much longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Once you are in Safe Mode, you need to delete data in order to free up disk space, ie., photos, video, etc.
When you are in Safe Mode, control click the MacintoshHD icon on the desktop then click Get Info. You'll see Capacity & Available.  You need at least 15% available disk space.
Then click Restart from the Apple () menu.

  • Blue screen appears during start up and freezes

During start up the apple logo appears and locks up. Re booting results in blue screen. After re booting 3 or 4 times finally boots fine.

If you are still not working properly you might want to try the recovery mode http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
It is a useful link to keep in mind.

  • Boots to windows startup screen, flashes blue screen, restarts and repeats

    HP ENVY H8-1414 Product #H3Z00AAR
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Alright, so here is my issue. I turn on my pc and it gets as far as the windows startup screen, flashes a blue screen error for about half of a second and then restarts it self. My HDD is recognized in the bios. Tried a memory test in diagnostics and it passes.  Tried a hard disc check and it passes the SMART check but fails the Long DST with a failure ID of 0GF21L-0006LR-WPVX0K-61C703 (no idea if those a zeros or O's)
I've also tried the startup repair but it did nothing. So I removed the hard drive and tried to use it in a different PC but had the same issue so I figured the hard drive went bad. Then I tried formatting a spare hard drive and installed a fresh copy of windows 7 on it, tried it on a different PC and it works just fine. However, when I try to use that hard drive on the HP ENVY I get the exact same problem even though it worked just fine on a differenct pc.
I purchased this PC refurbished about 3 months ago, the warrenty just ended a week ago.  There have been no hardware or software changes on it at all. This thing worked flawlessly last night... I locked the computer before bad and I woke up to this. No power outages over night or anything. It just doesn't make any sense.

Here are the specs for your HP ENVY h8-1414 Desktop Computer. According to the specs, this model came from the factory with Windows 8 installed. The "blue screen" and restart are normal for Windows 7, when it encounters an error, unless you have altered the default settings.
The LONG DST failure is indicative that the hard drive has failed or is about to fail. Unless the hard drive is moved to an identical or very similar computer, Windows will encounter a "blue screen. This is true with the original hard drive moving from the h8 computer to the other computer and the test hard drive from the other other computer moving to the h8 computer.
Try placing the "test" hard drive in the h8 computer and installing Windows 7 from a DVD or USB stick. If you have any problems, please post back with full error messages and screen shots. Also indicate what stage of the install Windows 7 was doing tat the time.
    Please send KUDOs

  • Blue Screen Error during starting Windows Server 2008 R2 (VM on Hyper-v WinSvr2012) Using a Physical to Virtual (P2V) VHDX.

    Hi There,
I'm trying to migrate one of my physical Windows Server 2008 R2 to Virtual Environment (Hyper-V on WinSvr2012).
(The original physical machine had multiple partitions on the windows HDD and 2 other boot able OSs where installed on 2 of those partitions ...) So anyhow,  After heaps of trouble shooting and fixing the boot records, it finally started booting the
Windows but when it got to loading C:\windows\System32\Drivers\Classpnp.sys
and it crashed, a blue screen poped up saying "A Problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer ... ) and then system got rebooted automatically.
I have tried chkdsk, also tried copying a new classpnp.sys to replace the old one but no hope. I don't think is not a damage file issue. Not sure, but it is probably related to changing the HDD devices or SCSI/IDE controllers?
    Any idea?

    1. You have placed your problem in wrong forum. Address your problem to Server forum instead.
    2. I do not think it is liable configuration. I have not heard about migration of multiboot HDD. Try to split it. Pay attention to better preparation. I would expect separate target VM.

  • Equium A100-549: Blue Screen error during Recovery CD installation

    Hey,
I recently purchased a Toshiba laptop, everything worked perfectly until my laptop was attacked. I got rid of the virus and went to reformat due to lots of problems occurring. The main one being a error has accursed and "Blah Blah" program needs to close. Also i kept getting loads of errors.

    Them types.
Now then the Toshiba reformatting disk said simply put the disk into the CD drive and turn off. I did this, great. The toshiba disk said press F12 upon starting and click run the CD. The CD fires up and gets half way thro reformatting.
I suddenly get a blue screen error. I thought oh well ill reboot and carry on. This is where the problem started. Because i was half way thro deleting/reinstalling windows i was missing some files. I go to reinstall or try to use the Toshiba CD I get a blue screen error.

Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause this Stop message, as may other hardware problems (e.g., incorrect SCSI termination or a flawed PCI card).
Any ideas what i can do? I don't want to send the laptop back to Toshiba to fix however im thinking this is the only way out.
Please if repplying try to keep technical lanuage to a minnium. Many thanks, Dan.

    Hi
Its very strange because the installation from the Toshiba recovery CD should works properly and without any Blue screen messages.
Usually if the BSOD appears if there is a serious software problem or something wrong with the hardware.
I dont think that the software on the recovery CD could be corrupt.
Did you try to install the OS from original Microsoft Windows CD? It would be very interesting to know if the blue screen will also appear.
However, I think your notebook is new and the warranty is valid. In my opinion you should ask the Toshiba service partner for the help because the guys could start the diagnostic test and could locate the fault.

    Hello -
I recently updated my Premiere Pro to the 2014 version. I opened my project in the new 2014 release and kept editing, but now when I want to export I can't. It fails every time at the beginning of the export and then gives me "Error - unknown error"
I've tried copying the sequence into a new sequence AND a new project. I've tried exporting with all different settings, to no avail. I have cleared the media cache and the preview files just in case. Cannot fix this! Need to export for a client so any help would be appreciated.

Does this error come up as soon as you start the export procedure.
Did you try to export it through the Media Encoder?

Getting a strange bug when trying to batch export.
The source clips are 4K MP4s. When exporting individually I use the Match Source button in the export dialogue and it correctly matches to the 4K frame size when sending to queue in Media Encoder.
If I select multiple clips and batch export them, selecting "Match Source" they come out as NTSC DV 29fps 720 x 480. The only way to work around this is to manually enter the frame values in Media Encoder after queuing.
