Premiere CC 2014 update, where is H264 SD 16:9!!!!!!?
I just updated Premiere CC 2014 and I can't find a way to export H264 SD 16:9 aspect ! and I have done last time 3/4 days ago before the update and now after this update I did same thing i usually do with H264 and the result is always 4:3 !! I've tried everything and no 16:9 aspect rate! even if i made the same settings i've done other times!!

Can I ask u what do you do with Level option/settings under profile!? I usually keep like that (3.1) just like i always did with profile!! never touched it!

All apps updated to 2014 perfectly, except for Premiere Pro. It keeps failing. Anyone else having this issue and have a work around?

Please don't take this the wrong way, but in the future, I would advise you to not update any project files until a project is complete (if at all possible). If you feel you must update, please make sure to duplicate your project file so that you have a working back up. This is something I was taught years ago and has served me well as a crucial back up step.
You can also check your Auto Save folder or the Creative Cloud folder for a potential backup, if that preference was set correctly.

You can't really roll back a project file, per se. You can try opening the project in XML format in older versions. That works most of the time. You can certainly roll back Premiere Pro to a previous version, however. Our college lab runs Premiere CC 2014 - 2014.0.1 release 8.0.1 (21) build. The CC updater says it is updated. A student has premiere pro 2014 - 2014.1 release 8.1.0 (81) build. The student cannot open up her premiere project in the college lab. Why is that? They both subscribe.....Hello Jeff,

Render and preview issues with Premiere CC 2014 update
Rendering issues: Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014.0.1 Update does not fix" Occasional instance where sequences could never finished rendering"
It's been 3 days 3 technicians and still same issue. Everything has been tried except starting over which is not an option. Worked
fine in CS6.
1. Optimization of windows and tweek premiere memory settings,
2. GPU updates,
3. Software only render,
4.render section at a time works (but who has time for that),
5. Tweek virtual memory, - clean cache, clean temp files,
6. hardware considerations, drives, etc...
7. Other
Ceremony completed render except for export in older computer. Please fix issue or give money back until you do!
The rendering of footage of:
1. render worked (on complex Ceremony 19 min sequence with AVCHD format and HDV) in an old computer. - Core 2 DUO Quad 8 gb ram 2g
b GPU
2. Same sequence of Ceremony (19 min sequence with AVCHD format and HDV) did not work in the faster computer. - i7 QUAD core 16 ram
1 or 2 GB GPU
3. Reception sequence of HDV footage only did not on both computer.
Please call the exterminator and get rid of all the bugs. I am spending more time
troubleshooting than editing….and that is badYou really aren't reading what we write.
Let's break it down:
Suitcase isn't working with the new application versions, because Suitcase has bugs in it's code or just doesn't know about the new application versions.
The only way to fix that is to fix the code for Suitcase.
Suitcase is written by Extensis, so only Extensis can fix the code for Suitcase.
So you are waiting on Extensis to fix their code to work correctly with the new applications.
This is not about the CC 2014 applications, this is about Extensis code not working, and Extensis needing to provide an update to make their code work.
To get a working version of Suitcase (which requires fixing bugs in Suitcase), you need to talk to Extensis. -
Plugins + Mediacore disappear after most recent Premiere CC 2014 update?
Just updated to the most recent version of Premiere and when I loaded a project, I found that all of my plugins had disappeared. Thinking it was just a Mediacore issue, I went to Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-Ins and found that my 8.0 folder was missing! And more than that, almost all of my plugins (Red Giant, Twixtor, FilmConvert) were missing from the 7.0 folder!
Any idea of what's going on and what I can do to fix it?
**EDIT/UPDATE:
Anticipating that I might be instructed to re-do my search for the mediacore by starting at Macintosh HD (Instead of user library), I found an interesting (but unhelpful) difference from when I started at my user Library - I also found my plugins folders for CS5 Through CS6, which contained all of my plugins.
The 7.0 folder was still empty, and the 8.0 folder was still missing. See screenshots:Sort of found a fix:
- Simply moved everything from my CS6 Mediacore into the 7.0 Mediacore, and that put all of my plugins back into CC 2014.2
- Had to reinstall FilmConvert, which isn't too bad, but it's annoying that I have to update all of my RedGiant plugins again. May as well reinstall everything.
It's weird how the 7.0 folder now communicates with CC 2014.2, and its super inconvenient that it basically got rid of all my plugins post-CS6. Luckily just reinstalling to the 7.0 seems to work. -
Premiere Pro 2014 update: previews & keyboard remap not included
Just a heads up everyone:
when you update to PP2014, be forewarned that when you open your PP7.2.2 project and Save As, it will open in PP2014 without any preview renders intact. So you'll have to re-render those timelines again. Also, if you've remapped your keyboard, be sure to save your keyboard shortcuts before you leave 7.2.2 because that's gone too!Re: Paths to files wanted ...please remind us all ... CC2014 re set up.

I have a late 2013 MacBook Pro Retina with NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB.
Ever since the Premiere CC 2014 update, on launch, I get this error right after it shows "ExporterQuickTimeHost.bundle" loading (I tried removing this, but it still did it, so I don't think it has anything to do with the QuickTime plugin):
Adobe Premiere Pro Startup Error
Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again.
I never got this in the CC version. I have the latest CUDA driver: version 6.0.46 & GPU Driver: version 8.26.21 310.40.35f08
The computer is unusable for about 4-5 mins after this happens until it all clears up. This whole process takes up 7-8 mins!
This same thing also happens with Prelude CC 2014.
If anyone knows what's going on I would be very grateful.
Thanks, MazI found a solution that worked for me. Seems to be a permissions problem. Here's the solution I found (found it here: CC 2014 startup issues : Adobe Premiere Pro):
In the finder menu click and hold on the GO menu. Hold the option button and the User library will show up. Click the User Library.
In that folder go to preferences and find the adobe folder.
Right click on adobe folder and click get info.
In the Sharing & Permissions section there should be three names.
All should say Read & Write next to them.
Unlock the lock, switch them all to read and write.
Then click on the little gear directly under the names or to to the left of the lock and in the pulldown click on "apply to enclosed items.
Then lock the lock again.
Now go to your OS Hardrive and click on Users, your user name, Documents.
Find the adobe folder there.
Right click on adobe folder and click get info.
In the Sharing & Permissions section there should be three names.
All should say Read & Write next to them.
Unlock the lock, switch them all to read and write.
Then click on the little gear directly under the names or to to the left of the lock and in the pulldown click on "apply to enclosed items.
The lock the lock again.
Wait 1 minute. Then launch Premiere.

"Tearing" issues on CC 2014 update
All,
I'm experiencing the "tearing" issues with 4K files on the latest Adobe Premiere CC 2014 update. I'm using GPU acceleration on my system and it should be able to easily handle 4k footage with CUDA and OPEN CL. All files are .MP4 format UHD 3840x2160 100mbs shot on a GH4. All files were captured on a Sandisk Extreme Pro 16gb (95mbs class 10 SDHC I). I have confirmed that files themselves are NOT corrupt as playback on the GH4 shows clean files:

So...my system is pretty darn "beefy" scoring a consistent 10,000+ score on 3DMark (93%)
A few notes:
I AM using an all SSD workflow (system OS and applications all on Samsung 1TB SSD)
Editing SSD is 500GB Western Digital (I have tried files on both SSDs....same issues)
I mention the SSD's because there are some folks that swear AGAINST them in editing etc....
I'm seeing this happen in the SOURCE window....MOST of the time it translates into the sequence after render. Whats weird is that sometimes the rendered sequence file will have "tearing" in completely different areas than the source file!
I have and AERO theme turned ON (as suggested in this forum)
Overall, I'm ready to throw in the towel with frustration. I'm reading about a lot of issues being reported with the latest CC 2014 update...with a lot of forum users saying that they are falling back to software rendering etc. The promise of Open CL computing and CUDA rendering of 6k files on an off the shelf laptop is escaping me ( A quick Peek at Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014.1 (v8.1) - YouTube )

I found that simply deleting the ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/ directory was a faster solution than taking the time out of my day to uninstall and reinstall all of my Adobe apps. I will be submitting a bug report to address the issue with the Creative Cloud updater.

Premiere CC 2014 crashing apparently with no reason
Hi again,
I had many issues in the past with PP crashes but this time i really can't imagine why this is going on..anyway...
I am working with full hd footage from my Fuji X-Pro1, the timeline is about 1 minute long.. short trailer but big problems: crashes are recurring (about 15 just today) that is annoying.
I have already searched for similar questions and I have just tried to change the render mode to Mercury Playback, deleted cache and previews, restart the os, update PP.....anything with NO visible result: now I can't even work more than five minutes that PP does crash.
Here is my setup and the last report from console.

Is there a way to take the Premiere Pro CC 2014 project to Premiere Pro CC?

Adobe Premiere CC 2014 crashing and can't open project in Premiere CC
Hi,
Till now I had been working with Premiere CC with no problems. I decided to try out Premiere CC 2014 with a new project, and I regret I did.
I start working ok, but after about an hour of editing, it freezes on playback. And its a much smaller project then the ones I've worked on CC. No color correction and very few effects yet. Its frustrating. I have to force quit premiere and start over again, for a little more time before it freezes again.
I tried to open the project in premiere CC and was surprised that I can't. I can't even save the project it appears from Premiere Pro CC 2014 to Premiere CC, just one version down??
If anyone know a way to do this please let me know. Premiere Pro CC 2014 is not ready yet.
I have a MacPro 5,1 running on 32 GB RAM, with an USB 3 raid drive. It worked seemlessly and pretty fast with Premiere Pro CC, while Premiere Pro CC 2014 gets clogged.

I have a creative cloud subscription and two computers. One at the office, and one at home.
I started a project at the office and wanted to finish it at home. But Premiere Pro won't open the project at home because it says it was created with a higher version of the app. But it says I have the latest version.
When I go to 'About Premiere' menu, it says I have version 2014.0, but at the office says 2014.1. I've tried logging out form CC, restarting the imac and logging in back. I've tried uninstalling every adobe app and reinstalling, but each time I get the 2014.0 version installed.
Please help. Thank you in advance.

After I updated from CS6 to CC 2014, my screen started to display blue lines and/or a blue imprint of a previously closed window, and Premiere CC 2014 and AE CC 2014 began crashing after about five minutes of use. Also, an error message popped up telling me to update my CUDA driver. I took the iMac into Apple and after updating the CUDA driver in store with an Apple associate, the error message went away. They were concerned about the blue lines, and after 3 days of hardware testing, they determined that the screen was not failing, the hardware was in great shape and the lines and crashing must be a software related issue. I took the computer home, uninstalled and reinstalled AE using the appropriate installer, and rebooted. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere using the Premiere installer and rebooted again. During the second restart a blue imprint of the Google Chrome window I had had open before the reboot was imprinted over the welcome/password screen. I typed in my password, opened up the Premiere project I'd been working on and immediately, the always dramatic message "A serious issue as occurred..." popped up. I tried opening it again, saved a new recovery copy and started to work on the project. Five minute later it froze up and I had to force quit. This happened two more times, both roughly after five minutes of use....back to square one.
Obviously, this is seriously hurting my workflow. Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated!... a blue imprint of the Google Chrome window I had had open before the reboot was imprinted over the welcome/password screen.
The apple guys said this wasn't a hardware error? I don't know software errors to save imprints throughout a restart. If I were to live dangerously and assume anything it would be that you got a failing graphics processor.
Ever tried cloning your boot drive and then doing a complete wipe and re-install of OS and CC? -
Editing a series for Fox - weird behavior from our system since Premiere CC 2014.2 Update
Hi all,
I'm cutting a series for Fox and we're on season 3. I cut all of season 1 on FCP7. Then dipped my toe into Premiere waters between seasons and cut all of season 2 in Premiere with excellent results. My only gripe on the previous Premiere CC versions was towards the ends of cuts when my timelines were rather complicated, I'd have a crash or two each day. Well I'm finishing up an episode this week which is the first I've cut in version 2014.2. It's WAY more stable, I haven't had a single crash in weeks. That part is amazing! The huge downside has been that my real time performance seems to have taken a serious hit even though the hardware, disk storage, video card, tower etc. are all identical. Worse is that when I'm playing back a sequence that's longer than one show act (like a sequence with the entire show in it, only 22 minutes) I'll a lot of time get a slight stutter frame between edits and that happens on a lot of edits. It's a fast paced racing competition show so say I'm playing back my timeline with a cut from a go pro on the steering wheel to a shot outside the car, it looks like there's a freeze frame of 2 frames long at the end of the GoPro shot before going to the shot outside the car. It's not only going from GoPro to non GoPro, it seems to happen on any kind of footage UNLESS I render it all, then it's fine. It's very frustrating. I've also confirmed when opening up an old show that played back fine on the previous version that this is still happening on these old projects as well. Also when color correcting in a sequence, there's generally a delay in seeing my color changes of several seconds! Premiere has always been instantaneous or very close to instantaneous when showing color updates for the past year until this update. Is this a known issue? Here's my specs:

My media is attached via a GRAID 4TB drive connected via eSata. I've also tried a different Graid attached via USB3 and another hard drive connected via FW800.
OSX 10.9.5Hi, I had the same problem.
What I found is the audio external interface needed to be reset.
So I've did this : quit Premiere, unplug my USB audio device, plug it back and launch premiere.
Every was fine.

New Adobe Premiere CC 2014 release update
Does anyone know when the next update for Adobe Premiere CC 2014.1 release might be days, weeks or months?
Hopefully days - because I've stopped using CC2014 until the 'cool' flat blue phone app colour scheme is removed.
I'll be an ex-customer at the end of January if I remain unable to work with it.
After 21 years, it seems a bit sad. -
Premiere Pro CC 7.1 Update Kills Bluray (H264) Exports...help!
Yes, there's another thread in the Encore forum about this but since it hit a dead end, maybe someone here in this forum can help since it's actually Premiere/AME causing the issue...
The problem is simple and it's cross-platform:
When you export a H264 Bluray file using the new Premiere 7.1 update (using AME Queue or Direct Export from Premiere) and drop that file into Encore CS6, it shows up as "Untranscoded" and Encore forces you to re-transcode it all over again a second time in order to burn it (you cannot manually switch it to "Don't Transcode"). Export the same exact project using the same exact settings through Premiere 7.0.1 and the resulting files show up in Encore as "Don't Transcode" so they don't get re-transcoded a second time.
