Premiere CC doesn't recognize my Nvidia card

I am getting an error message that says "This project was last used with Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA), which is either not available or not certified on this system. Mercury Playback Engine Software Only will be used." I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M which was working before... what happened?
My system:
I purchased a refurbed MacBook Pro directly with Apple in 2012 and it came preinstalled with an Intel HD Graphics 4000 (built in) and NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M (via PCIe). I am running OS X 10.8.5 and Adobe CC (mostly Premiere).
Is it the driver? When I look for the updated driver for NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M there doesn't seem to be an option for this card/operating system configuration? How is this possible and is this the cause of my problem or is it the Premiere program?

CUDA is definitely not an option in my Premiere CC Project settings. My CUDA version is 5.5.28. After Effects seems to be fine now. In AE and Photoshop the other day it had come up with an issue about GPU not being present any longer.

That is not a configuration that After Effects CS6 will use for the GPU acceleration of the ray-traced 3D renderer.

The Quadro K5000 was added to the whitelist for the GPU acceleration of the ray-traced 3D renderer in After Effects CC (12.0).

IPhone doesn't recognize my SIM Card after update to iOS 5.1

I updated my iOS to 5.1 yesterday and after that my iPhone doesn't recognize my SIM Card. What has happened to my iPhone?

It was probably jailbroken or hacked to unlock it. If that's the case it is now bricked. You may be able to find an answer on Google, but you cannot get help here.

Photoshop CS6 doesn't recognize my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M GPU?

I just bought a brand new Alienware M17x R4 with Windows 8 Pro x64 and Photoshop CS6 won't recognize my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M GPU?
I've already updated Windows 8, Photoshop and the Nvidia graphics driver.
Any ideas? I spent so much on a nice graphics card but now it seems PS CS6 can't even use it. It's using the Intel HD4000 instead:

Adobe tested the following video cards before the release of Photoshop CS6. This document lists the video card by series. The minimum amount of RAM supported on video cards for Photoshop CS6 is 256 MB. Photoshop 13.1 cannot display 3D features if you have less than 512 MB VRAM on your video card.
Important: This document is updated as newly released cards are tested. However, Adobe cannot test all cards in a timely manner. If a video card is not listed here, but was released after May 2012, you can assume that the card will work with Photoshop CS6.
Adobe tested laptop and desktop versions of the following cards. Be sure to download the latest driver for your specific model. (Laptop and desktop versions have slightly different names.)

Okay, I figured it out...duh.
My bad...or rather, Nvidia's bad!
In their app profiler, they set Photoshop to use the "default" settings, which defaults to the integrated graphics. By changing the profile to make it use the discreet graphics, it worked!
This also fixed my issue of the background flashing / flickering.
I know that's a known bug with Windows 8 + AMD (http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/image-background-transparent-or-flickers.html)
However, Adobe should look into this same bug occuring with the Intel HD4000 integrated GPU, because this happened with my laptop.
Maybe that bug doesn't occur on systems that only have an integrated GPU, but on systems with Optimus, it's definitely a reproducible issue.
When I switch back to integrated, the issue pops up again.
It's nice that Nvidia provides an option for us to either use the integrated or discreet graphics, however, Adobe needs to follow through and make sure that Photoshop doesn't wig out when we're using the integrated GPU. Sometimes, your customers need to do work on battery power, so the integrated flickering /flashing /transparent background bug definitely needs to be fixed.
Personally, I can get 6hrs out of this laptop running the integrated GPU, but when I use the discreet, that cuts it down to only 2hrs.

Itunes doesn't recognize iphone sim card after installing io5

I sent hours trying to upgrade my Iphone 3gs to io5 and now Itunes doesn't recognize the phone sim card, I only have a message saying 'There is no sim card in the Iphone you are trying to activate'. Iphone is no longer under warranty, so I don't know what to do if doesn't work any more.

Premiere Pro doesn't recognize my monitor resolution.

My monitor has a 2560 x 1440 Pixel Resolution 27" LCD Display. I just switched from Premiere Pro CS6 to Premiere Pro CC. When I open the program, it says my monitor does not meet the minimum size requirements. It clearly doesn't recognize the high-res display. The video playback looks ragged. How can I fix this?

Well we need a lot more hardware data. What GPU? How much VRAM? What driver version?

Adobe Premiere 13 doesn't recognize my DVD burner

I am running Premiere 13 and am trying to burn a DVD. I can burn the project to a folder, but cannot burn directly to a DVD. The program doesn't recognize my DVD burner. When I use Windows Explorer to copy the files to a DVD, the DVD will not play in my DVD/Blue Ray player. The player recognizes the DVD -R format, but shows a blank screen, even though I have created the project with menus. Any pointers would be appreciated. I am running Windows 7.

Set your Premiere Elements DVD output to a folder on your hard drive and then use the FREE Imgburn to burn the folder to disc for DVD... Premiere Elements 13 WILL write a DVD or BluRay to an ISO (send the author a PayPal donation if you like his program)

Solaris 9 x86 doesn't recognize my lan card and can't get the drivers

Hi guys! I have a problem with my solaris os.. It doesn't recognize my realtek 8029 lan card and this means that i can't download the drivers from the internet.. Anyway i got the drivers using my other installed OS ( slackware linux 9 ) from the www but there's a problem it seems that i cant mount the harddrive where the driverz are..neither linux->mount solaris hd disk nor solaris->mount linux hd disk do the trick..(+ i don't have a floppy drive ) Any ideaz how to transfer the drivers from the hd disk where the linux is installed to the solaris disk..?

I have the same NIC (RTL 8029 chip), and.. the solution 4 you. :) I made this quick guide for me, so I can add netwotk support to my system, very easily. Happy to see that another person needs that info.
Follow these steps:
1. Download the file from the link below, put it at /, and unzip it.

2. Run (from command line) the command:
add_drv /kernel/drv/nei; devlinks
3. Create the file /kernel/drv/nei.conf and write
name="nei" parent="isa" reg=1,0xe800,0x1f interrupts=5;
(this is the hardware address for my card, you should find your's).
4. Create the file /etc/hostname.nei0, whick will contain the line
192.168.0.1
(this is the IP addr. I use for my internal network, change that to any other reserved addr. you like, like 10.0.0.1)
5. If you use IPv6, create /etc/hostname6.nei0 ,too, with the same contents as hostname.nei0
192.168.0.1
6. Edit /etc/hosts and add the line:
192.168.0.1 myname.mydomain
7. Edit /etc/inet/hosts and make the file look like this:
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.1 myname.mydomain loghost
8. Edit /etc/inet/netmasks and put:
192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0
9. Run from command line mode or from a terminal:
/usr/sbin/drvconfig -i nei
10. Run from command line mode or from a terminal:
touch /reconfigure; /usr/sbin/reboot
11. After rebooting, type "ifconfig nei0 plumb" to make sure the device was recognized.
It should show up in the output from typing "prtconf"
Normally, now you can use your RTL8029 card.

I'm sorry you are having difficulty trading in your phone. The iPhone 4S doesn't require a SIM card to function but does have the option for an optional Global SIM card. If you are trying to erase your personal information from your iPhone 4S please make sure you turn off iCloud first (Settings>iCloud) and then go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings.

HP Envy 17 Doesn't Have an NVIDIA Card?

I was going through my system information in order to figure out why I was having gaming issues, and was shocked to see that the only graphics card listed in the system information section of the HP Support Assistant was an Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600.
There is an NVIDIA Geforce sticker on the laptop, and when I looked up the model laptop I found that it should have a GeForce GT 740M dedicated video card.
When I tried to use NVIDIA's software to look up potential driver updates, the installer said that no compatable hardware could be found.
Why do I have a laptop that has an NVIDIA sticker on it with no NVIDIA card?

Notebook doesn't recognize installed graphics card

Recently purchased the HP Envy 15-q748ca notebook which comes with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 850M installed. However, laptop has stopped upgrading the drivers and no longer recognizes that that GPU is installed and is instead using the Intel HD 4600 GPU. Help.

I understand that you recently purchased your notebook and it has switchable graphics and it is not utilizing both cards. You have done all the updates.

IPhoto doesn't recognize pictures on card / already imported pictures

Hi all,
iPhoto '09 (latest version) on my wife's MBP (CoreDuo, early 2006, latest Snow Leopard) has always worked well for het (about 35,000 pix in the database). Last week, out of a sudden, it stopped recognizing new images when a card is plugged in (tested with two different SD cards from two different cameras). Manual importing works, but it won't recognize already imported images anymore, it just imports them again.
I already re-built iPhoto's database (by holding alt + cmd when starting up iPhoto), but it didn't change anything.
This is really strange - can anyone help us here?

Well, I was too fast yesterday. Nothing is solved.
Today my wife said that when she plugged in the card from her new camera (8 GB), iPhoto starts up but then showed the spinning wheel for 10 minutes, no pictures are shows. Then she got impatient and imported manually again.
I tested again tonight with the 8 GB SDHC card - all tests yesterday were done with a 2 GB standard SD card. And really, regardless what card I plug in, iPhoto doesn't start up. Even changing the program to start up when a camera is attached (see above) doesn't help.
So I created a new user account. Plugged in the 2 GB card, iPhoto starts and shows all pix. Fine. Closed iPhoto, ejected the card and plugged in the 8 GB one. iPhoto starts up and - just as described above - only shows the spinning wheel but no pictures within 10 minutes (364 images are on the card). Closed iPhoto again, and now it doesn't even start up anymore, no matter which of the two cards I plug in.
Can it be that iPhoto has a problem with the 8 GB SDHC card? We have been using this only for 3 weeks now, when we bought a new camera. Before the 2 GB SD card was used. However, iPhoto worked well with the 8 GB card for the first two weeks, and I haven't tried if re-formatting will help.
Any comments?

AppStore on iPhone 4 doesn't recognize my credit card!

So here's the problem: i just bought a new iPhone 4 i allready owned a iPhone 3GS so after the startup and update of the iPhone 4 i passed all the apps from my iPhone 3 on the new one, as soon as i tried to buy an app on the AppStore with my iPhone 4 it asked me for the credit card validation number i inserted it but for some reason it says to change the payment method even if I still use that account to buy stuff on my iPhone 3. Can somebody help please? Thanks a lot

This is a recent problem, my iphone 4 used to recognize my WiFi.
Also, I tried rebooting the iphone which did not help.
When I go to settings, Wi-Fi it shows "Not Connected", when I go to the Wi-Fi screen it shows my next store neighbors home Wi-Fi but not mine.
Re-booteding the router did not help.

Log and transfer doesn't recognize my SD-cards any more!

On my FCP7 log and transfer won't recognize SD-cards any more.
Log and transfer just flashes the "adding" -part and then nothing, or in some times it crashes the whole Final Cut.
I have been using the same cards, my old Canon 60D and Canon E-1 movie plugin for years. Only new thing is that I now have a Canon 6D with old 60D.
The weirdest thing is that, I have some old SD card images (made with disk Utility for back up) and when opened there are no problems.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried resetting your fcp preferences? Digital Rebellion's Preference Manager is the best tool for doing this in my opinion.
