Premiere CC - had to deinstall

now trying to reinstall and going to site to download but the local MAC cloud menu - stays installed and up to date so nothing happens.
i used the Adobe CC de-install and the Menu for CC does still think it is installed so when I go to creative.adobe.com - I am able to push on a download button but it opens the cloud manager on my computer - which is evidently cancelling the download - since it thinks it is installed and up to date.
What can I do to force the update to the CC manager on my OSX machine?
THANKS

dude I found this cleaner tool. I am going to try this and hope it helps you!

Every time I've had to upgrade itunes I get an error that states:

To get around this I've had to uninstall and reinstall itunes which worked just fine.  This time I unistalled it and it will not install at all now.
Ever install meets the same error as the above.  I've deleted the temp files as they've suggested but with no luck.  There doesn't seem

  • Exporting to Media Encoder crashes Premiere Pro CC 2014

    Greetings,
I am experiencing a problem with premiere off and on. Right now it is an on problem. When I am exporting from Premiere Pro CC (and CC 2014) it will intermittently crash Premiere. I have tried this with several different audio and video formats (AVI [Lagarith and uncompressed], WAV, H.264, MPG2, AAC, etc). At the moment, every time I go to export to queue it locks up and hangs on the "Preparing data for export..." Media Encoder Launches and then it just freezes. I get "Problem Even Name: AppHangB1" over and over. Sometimes a full restart will fix this temporarily and sometimes it goes away for a long while. I managed to get a few sequences exported and then it just kept freezing on every PP CC restart.
    Here are my system specs:
Premiere Pro CC (up to date)
Win 7 64bit (up to date)
    i7 970
    24GB Ram
NVIDIA 470GTX (driver up to date)
    3 x 1.5TB internal
    4TB internal
    3TB internal
    12TB RAID 5 via USB 3.0
    USB 2.0 and 3.0 drives
FireWire audio device (M-AUDIO FireWire1814)... although, I am not using it for playback. It is connected.
Footage is from C100 H.264 .MTS, H.264.mov from 7D, and H.264 .MOV from iPhone.
All stock video plugins with a few third party audio plugs.
This problem happens with and without third party plugs, but it happens that this project uses them.
I have chatted with Adobe help twice about the matter and nothing has come of it. Log out, log in = same. Restart = same (sometimes), create new user account = same, and so on. The only thing I haven't done is completely re-install premiere, which seems a bit overkill. One of the reps said he would get back to me in a few days after he watched the issue via screen share. Never heard back.
I get the sense that this has something to do with PProHeadless.exe not launching or not running properly. When the crash happens on a fresh restart of PP CC 2014 PProHeadless is not running. I can start PProHeadless and it will send sequence to media encoder. When I try to export another sequence from the same project it crashes and I see another instance of PProHeadless launched.
Also, once the projects are exported to Media Encoder, I can encode them to any format with no problem. The problem is getting the sequences there!
Is there anything that I am overlooking here?
    Thanks for the help!

    Hi
    Premiere pro cc 2014  8.0.1 (21) build
    Encoder CC 2014 8.0.1.48
I use CC for Teams so it updates all the time.
Again when I tried to use it today by letting premiere open it by sending an output into Queue it crashed both Encoder and Premiere.
In order to shut down Encoder and Premiere I had to go into Task Manager and "End Process Tree" on everything adobe I could find because just ending Encoder did not work it would not close. I remembered that years ago when Premiere would crash we had to end a photoshop process. I found photoshop open even though it was not "alive" on my task bar. I had used it yesterday but had closed it. I also had to close dynamiclinkmanager.exe *32 as well as one of the three Adobe CDF Helper.exe*32. They popped back on but Encode closed and then I got a message that Premiere needed to close and did when I clicked the button to let it close.
After all this I re-opened Encoder by itself and checked the Preferences finding that Import Sequences Natively option was again checked.
By the way for me, "Launch AME manually, then drag the sequence from PPro's Project panel to AME's Queue (or to a preset in the Preset Browser). That uses a different code path than the File>Export>Media workflow." won't work most of the time because I do live events of panel interviews that may run 2 or more hours. I need to break them down to chapters for the web
Also I know this isn't part of this problem but I and many others would still love dynamiclink to work to Encore because the DVD is not dead yet. The current work path is a drag.
Looks like some programers and engineers have some work to do.
    Thanks
    Dennis

  • Aspect Ratio issue when replacing a clip in Premiere CS6 with an After Effects CS6 Composition

Please assist! When I attempt to right click on a clip in my Premiere timeline and replace it with an After Effects composition, I can do so, but problems ensue.
After Effects will start up, but the composition will be in 4:3, even though the Premiere project and clip that I'm altering were both 16:9.
I was able to change the aspect ratio to 16:9 in After Effects and then edit what I wanted, but an hour later when I had finsihed, saved, and gone back to Premiere, it had smushed the replaced clip into 4:3 within Premiere.
    So to reitterate:
When I replace a clip in Premiere with an AE comp, AE opens in 4:3.
I can change the AE comp to 16:9, but when I save and go back to Premiere, it has smushed the AE comp down to 4:3.
What can I do to stop this?

If you right click on the clip in the Project panel, then select Modify / Interpret Footage you will see a Pixel Aspect Ratio.
    What does it say?
If it says 0.9091 then change it to 1.2121
If it says something else, come back and let me know. I will then have a different answer for you.
Also, what is the frame size of the video.

  • Premiere Pro only giving Trial Version after hardware change

I am a teacher at a high school.  We have CS6 installed on our machines.  Recently, I was having problems with the machine hooked up to my projector not getting signal to the projector.  Since our computer techs fixed the hardware to correct that problem, our Premiere Pro had only opened as a Trial Version.  Now it says that the trial has ended.  Do I need to re-install the product?  Will I be able to install it without taking up an extra license?
I tried to get help via adobe web chat, but I was told my only option was the forum.  Any help would be appreciated.

your trial window should give you the option to license.  click that option and enter your serial number when prompted.

  • Adobe premiere CC freezes when editing large files

    Hello
Recently i had a project editing a one shot movie. Its a 11min movie, shot ot Canon 5D mark II ( 3.7 gb  MOV file )
When i imported it in Premiere, i had so much problems. Anything i did, program freezed for 30s aprox. Im not talking about some major plugins or effects, its simple cut, or movie file 5s forward, or scale it a bit.
    Just saving takes ages.

  • Premiere CS5 Video playback problems

    Dear All,
I hope someone can help me out!
I have finally managed to get the 64-bit upgrade sorted out. However, most of the time I try to start my trial version of Premiere, I get an error message saying "CS5 has stopped working". No explanation. Nothing. It just doesn't open.
However, if I persevere long enough, after four or five attempts to start the program, it will inexplicably do so. My problem THEN is that a project I saved in CS4 seems to load OK but then I cannot get the video footage (unrendered) to appear in the preview window. Which makes the whole thing useless really.
If I then click in the preview window, the footage WILL appear but only as a still on whatever frame it happened to be on. Again, making the entire shebang useless.
So, if anyone has any brilliant tips on why these things are happening, do let me know. I feel like shooting someone! LOL
I am quite happy to buy a copy of this thing IF I can be sure it will work. But I fail to see why Adobe are pretending these problems don't exist. No help from the support team via phone at all.
    Thanks
    Mark Birkett

Thanks for the welcome. I'm no expert on this subject so I'm not even sure I would know where to check the video-card driver. LOL.
All I can say is that the trial version of Premiere CS4 had no such problems on this laptop. I'm now using Windows Vista, Home Premium, 64 bit. The CS4 trial ran fine on Windows Vista 32-bit (as it was before I upgraded) so I'm unsure why Adobe would have moved the goalposts in that regard?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Premiere Elements 10, unable to launch projects...

    Hi there, first post.
I've managed to sort out one problem already this morning - I've now got virtualdub set up for processing files before I import them to PE.
However I'm still stumped on why it (at the moment) still crashes (just 'stopped working' message) as I move from the 'Choose organizer/new project etc.' screen into the editor screen.
I downloaded this as a trial last week because I couldn't afford to buy straight away for my art degree work and so far I'm glad I didn't.
Unfortunately Adobe UK aren't allowed to offer any direct support until I buy it.
I've looked at most of the suggestions relating to firewalls, antivirus, graphics cards and so on - but the program at least tells me that its installed fine, which I would've thought it wouldn't if these were the problem.
I've seen many complaints about 32-bit vista and this, could it be some kind of basic system resources problem?
I have - Vista 32, 4Gb RAM, ATI radeon Graphics display.  How much could HD space matter?
The AVI/codecs explanation page was excellent, by the way.
This is probably something really simple!
Would be very grateful to anyone who could help as it would be v helpful to be able to get this running -
    Kevin.

Well, I've installed that (virtualdub, with a DV codec for export) so that when I can get Premiere working as it should - hopefully the files/video will be unproblematic.
The first time I installed premiere I had the same problems with crashing, but if I ignored them sometimes buy cancelling the solution check windows was doing, or just restarting sometimes I could eventually arrive at the project screen.
However, the previews of videos I tried to import had sound but no picture when played.  I looked at these problems, which other people were having and thought it best to convert them from avi, mpeg, flv etc. before importing.
So far I haven't tried importing any of these yet since I tried reinstalling premiere, because the problem with the project/editor loading still continues - I've only given a name to a project and from there haven't been able to get any further.
I would have thought if it 'stops working' before I try to import any video there must be a problem with premiere, or my system and premiere at least, which needs resolving?

  • Exporting Settings (Premiere Pro CS4 with Matrox)

    Premiere Pro CS4
    Canon XHG1 camera (HDV/Mini DV/NTSC)
    Matrox RT.X2
HP Z800 with 2.4GHz Intel Xeon processor, 12GB RAM, and running Windows 7
I have experience with digital video editing in Premiere, exporting up to 40-minute videos (that took maybe 2 hours to export), but the last version I used was maybe Premiere 7 and I didn’t have the Matrox card (and was using a computer much less capable than this one). I was also just using a consumer-level camera, not the big Canon. Now I’m trying to export video and there are way more choices than I had before, and it seems like the estimated time to export is quite high, despite having a good machine and the Matrox card.
So my question is, is there a chart anywhere that says what settings to use for the particular output you are looking for? For instance, what should I pick for the web that is good enough quality but not a giant file? What should I pick if I want to make a DVD? Is there a way to directly export to a DVD if you aren’t manipulating the video at all? I’ve been told I should be able to utilize the Matrox card to reduce the export time, but it seems like it takes at least 5 times the length of the video to export no matter what.
I guess an important question here is, what is the normal amount of time I should expect something to take to export? I have a 2-hour video that just needs to be transferred from the mini DV tapes and burned to a DVD – no effects necessary. The lowest export time estimate I can get is around 10 hours, and I have no idea what that will look like in terms of quality when done.
In the future I will be doing mostly short (2 minutes or less) videos for web, so export time should be short, but I’d still like to know what the best settings are and how long it should take.
I hope this makes sense – thanks for your help!
    Genevieve

Thanks for your help. I have copied and pasted my results below. It seemed to get through that queue very quickly, so perhaps the slowness is do to something more specific in the project I am working on. Perhaps a large mismatch in what I am capturing vs. what I am exporting? The camera is recording in HD.... I don't know much about hardware at all, and only know very basic stuff about exporting, so I know it is probably difficult to understand what I'm looking for. The last version of Premiere I had basically allowed you to choose format, size, quality, and codec whereas this version has so many different export settings I can pick from, it is hard to just guess and check which ones work best.

  • Premiere 10 can't install, 64 or 32-bit

I just purchased Elements 10 (Photoshop and Premiere) no problem installing Photoshop. But when I Installed Premiere, I had a problem, it says I don't have the right operating system.  I have 32-bit.  Question is, do I need 64-bit or is there a way around it.

Premiere Elements will run fine on 32 bit systems. If you have problems installing from disk, download the trial version (it’s the full product) and then after installation input the serial number from your DVD box to make it permanent.

  • Premiere Pro cs3 performance slow

Hello, I tried checking various places for this answer but could not find the answer, so apologies if this can be answered somewhere else.
I use Premiere Pro CS3 (I have the suite).  When I start to work on a project, all is well.  When I get to about the fifteen minute or twenty minute mark in terms of footage that is on the time line (perhaps just one or two video tracks and then a title or two on tracks three and four), then Premiere behaves very sluggishly.  When opening the project, it takes a fairly long time (about two minutes) to open.  Playback always stutters, no matter what.  If I select "File" or "Edit" on the top bar, I might have to wait a few seconds, or longer, for the drop-down items to appear.  If I dare to do something like add color correction to a shot, or some other effect, Premiere is even more sluggish.  I used to use Premiere 6.1 for years and never had a problem -- even did a massive production with enormous number of SFX, green screen, etc...no problem.  My system smoked.  I have a great system now (see below).  Now I do a project in CS3 and am so very careful not to get near the 30 minute mark (otherwise very slow performance) and even then I feel very limited in terms of what I can dare do, lest CS3 crashes altogether. And sometimes it has.  "Premiere Pro had encountered problems and will now close..."   Any suggestions?
Here is what I am working with:
    Pyro PCI card
    650W Power Supply
    Supermicro X7DAE Dual-Core Xeon Motherboard
Dual Intel Xeon 5150 (10.64 GHz Total)
    4GB DDR2-667 FBDIMM RAM (4x1GB)
ATI FireGL V3350 256MB PCIe Video Card
    Creative Labs AudigySE Sound Card
    80GB OS/Application Hard Drive
1000GB SATA Internal Video RAID (2x500)
    Microsoft Windows XP Professional
    Adobe Production Suite CS3

I guess what Harm is saying is that if your hardware checks out, your footage is "typical", and no immediate solution is evident, then a re-install is often the fastest and most effective solution. If you have your OS on one drive and all your data on another, this process becomes pretty straightforward, even more so if you've "slipped" your copy of XP with all its updates. Why spend 6 hours troubleshooting and get a possible solution when you could spend 2 hours re-installing and get an almost guaranteed solution!
If you want to have a tinker before taking the plunge, there are a couple of things that I'd look at:
    1) Virus Checker. Download MS's "Process Explorer" (overblown Task Manager) and see if anything is going nuts when you open a larger project
    2) CS3 all patched up?
    3) Hard disk cache setting. You say things go pear-shaped at about 30 minutes (about 6 gig in DV language) maybe there's an issue with your Windows Page File that is slowing things down. If you have a "hard" setting in there, change it back to automatic and see if you have any improvement. Also, where is it? across two disks? check you have enough room on your OS disk for the pagefile to work as it should.
    4) Check the location of your Media Cache files. Think about trashing all the cache files for the project and see if that improves anything. Make sure that anything that Premiere will be accessing (the Media Cache Database, the cache files etc) is where it should be and not in some wierd place (like on a network share)
    5) On the timeline, what display options do you have turned on? First frame/last frame? or "movie strip" view?
That's all I can think of for now... is the re-install looking more attractive??  ;-)

  • Premiere CS3 and CS4 Crashes

I'm having trouble with Premiere Pro versions CS3 and CS4 crashing and am not sure why. The problem usually occurs after a few minutes of the program being opened or when we either try to scrub through the timeline or try to capture. • Premiere CS3 load fail

Hi all, I'm an owner of the CS3 master collection. I have it since 2008, but it is only since today that I wanted to install Premiere. So i did it, the installation went fine, had enough disc space etcetera. But now when I want to open Premiere, I see a welcome screen loading all the plugins and so on, like in all adobe programs... But I can see it's loading .dll files from another software in my Program Files (Windows 7). And when it should be loaded, it crashes giving me an error about that other program. I checked the program directory and couldn't find no .dll files from that other software. But it keeps on loading it and fails. Any suggestions this is very odd?
    Thanks i a
    DESE

    Hey robodog2,
thanks for taking your time to find a solution...
    I'm sorry I didn't explain well..
So basically, as said before, loading Premiere doesn't go so well.
I immediately noticed that Premiere tries to load wrong plug ins.
In the screenshot below you can see Premiere trying to load 'Toxic Biohazard.dll'...
after the plug ins appear on the 'welcome screen', I see a big white screen (that should be Premiere) and it crashes. It closes itself.
I have a Digital Audio Workstation on my computer and the toxic biohazard plug in belongs to that DAW.
How it got messed up in Premiere I really don't know. The directories of both Premiere and my DAW have nothing to do with one another and are well seperated in my Program Files...
I was never able to open Premiere, I had this since the first start up (today).
    These are my computer specs:
    Dell Studio 17 laptop
processor: intel core 2 duo @ 2.00 gHz

  • What happened to Premiere Elements forum?

The Premiere group http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere has had a sub-forum for Premiere Elements "forever"
    Today, Premiere Elements doesn't work
    What happened?
Well... PreEl still works in the links on the RIGHT... but the main list on the left is no longer a link

Well, Elements always had a forum... with a link from the Premiere page
That Premiere link on the Premiere page has simply been moved/restructured
Link is still there, just moved from the "main" section over to the right side
    All is well
