Premiere CS5.5 importiert bei AVI-Dateien nur den Ton?

Hallo,

  • Premiere CS5 import avi clips without sound. How can I import avi clips with sound without convert?

    Dear Adobe Forum,
I have the following problem, please help:
I would like to import avi clips in adobe premiere. All clips have the same avi codec. But unfortunately my adobe premiere does not import the sound of a few
avi clips. It is wired because about 10 out 70 avi clips which have all the same avi codec does not work with sound in premiere CS5. In the timline premiere import the video and audio line but there are no audio waves in the about 10 avi clips. additonally premiere plays the 10 avi clips in the source monitor without sound. Furthermore when I open the 10 avi files without adobe premiere they have sound, but with premiere there are no sound in the 10 avi clips.
What can I do, so that I can import all avi files with sound. I do not want to convert each of the avi files because then they have not a good quality and it is to complicated and it takes to much time to convert all files in this video project and in the other video project in my future.
Consequently How can I import all avi files so that they have immediately sound? Do I have to change some premiere settings?
    Thank you in advance
    Leonardo

  • Importing .avi file into Premiere CS5 and losing on quality

    Hello Adobe users,
I'm having a problem with importing my material in Premiere CS5. It's file extension is .avi and I'm not sure which step I do wrong to get his but it's pretty important to me to find out what's the problem.
Every time I try to import material which was captured on another computer, I get it all lossy in Premiere and it's really obvious.
Maybe I make mistake with opening new project?
I'm not sure which camera is used, but I'm sure it's Panasonic and it films in cinemascope (widescreen).
I would really appreciate your help here!
    Thanks in advance, Filip!

    Flip,
    Welcome to the forum.
AVI can hold all sorts of things, and those will be all important in addressing your problem. This ARTICLE goes into more detail, and shows how to "peek inside the AVI wrapper." Please let us know what CODEC is used in that file.
How are you Importing/Capturing the AVI file?
    What Sequence Preset was chosen?
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Probleme mit AVI Dateien

    Hallo,

Before we go further into your questions, what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 10 running on and what video card/graphics card does that computer use? NVIDIA? If NVIDIA, please read the Announcement at the top of this Forum regarding the known serious issue specific to Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA users. For your convenience, the following is a copy/paste of what is written there.
Announcement: Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA Video Card Driver Roll Back
    Hide Details
If you are a Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card and you are experiencing Premiere Elements 10 display and/or unexplained program behavior, then your first line of troubleshooting needs to be rolling back the video card driver version instead of assuring that it is up to date.
Since October 2013 to the present, there have been a growing number of reports about display and unexplained workflow glitches specific to the Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer has a NVIDIA GeForce video card. If this applies to you, then the “user to user” remedy is to roll back the NVIDIA GeForce video card driver as far as is necessary to get rid of the problems. The typical driver roll back has gone back as far as March – July 2013 in order to get a working Premiere Elements 10. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has taken any corrective action in this regard to date, and none is expected moving forward.
Since October 2013, the following thread has tried to keep up with the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA reports
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1317675
Older NVIDIA GeForce drivers can be found

A February 2014 overview of the situation as well as how to use the older NVIDIA GeForce drivers for the driver roll back can be found

Please review the Announcement that I wrote and let us know if this applies to your situation.

  • Videofilter PPro.TimeWarp beim Öffnen eines Projektes in Premiere CS5 fehlt

    Hallo,

  • Premiere CS5 - Project Monitor playback is jerky after resintall of operating system and CS5

PROBLEM: Premiere CS5 - Project Monitor playback is jerky
This had NOT been an issue prior to reinstalling the operating system and all software.  I have read numerous articles on the forums and have tried everything I can find...with no results.
STEPS TAKEN TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM:
I have scoured the articles here http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/search/index.cfm?loc=en_us&term=choppy%20video&cat=support&pr oduct=premierepro and others at Cretive Cow
I have installed all updates for CS5 Master Collection, immediately following a fresh install of the operating system and SC5 Master Collection.
I have ensured that sequence settings match resolution and frame rates of footage - the problem persists.
I have tested by importing both standard def AVI files created from tape and high def SONY MP4 files - the problem persists.
I have ensured the latest Video drivers are installed (clean installation selected, so that the Windows default would be removed) - the problem persists.
I have tried the 3D settings in NVIDIA control panel | Program Settings tab... selected Adobe Premiere Pro from the drop down menu | and chaged 'Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration from the value of 'Multiple Display performance' to the value of 'single display performance'; although, I ran two monitors before using this latest NVIDIA video driver and I didn't experience this jerky footage issue - the problem persisted after affecting that change; so, I switched it back.
Since I have 96 GB of RAM, I don't use a pagefile.  A zero MB page file is the same setting I had prior to rebuilding the C:  Regardless of whether I have a pagefile or not, the problem persists.
I have tried creating a fresh user profile, where the user profile is created on the C: drive by default; and, where I left it there on C: to test for the jerky playback in a new PrPR project  - the problem persists.
Regarding the C: (system drive) and why I reinstalled everything, it had become unstable and was locking up.  I ran DISK ERROR CHECKING with the FIX parameter and the system was still locking up on me.  Keep in mind that the System drive is a solid state drive.  Anyhow, I had no choice but to dive in and reinstall everything.  I wiped the system partition of the SSD using quick format and started installing the operating system.  Now, I've read the CLAIM that this cuases performance issues; but, the only place I see issues is in the video monitor playback in PrPr.  Everything else - Office applications...printing...browsing the Internet...works just fine, everything is responsive, whereas, I couldn't do ANYTHING with it before.

    I'VE RESOLVED THE PROBLEM!
    PREFACE:
OK, I am hoping that through this week-long Operating-System-and-Software-reinatalltion excerise of mine, I have revealed something that everyone -- whom have been cursing Adobe over -- can apply to their systems to resolve this jerky video problem within PremierePro CS5 (and quite possibly other versions, too).
If you've read my post above, you've seen all the steps I've taken to resolve the problem.  I've read many posts, some of which have mentioned  hardware upgrade / opitmization steps that one may take to enhance performance, and hopefully resolve the problem.  I've read where people have taken these steps and have still experienced the problem...and then they curse Adobe.  Fer-shame, fer-shame, fer-shame! (nod to Gomer Pyle).
In my case, I knew it wasn't an Adobe issue, as it had worked flawlessly before; and, it wouldn't require a hardware upgrade or reconfigureation, as my system is completely maxed out with two processors, a system drive and a hardware RAID5 array, a CUDA-suported nVIDIA 4800 FX card, and 96 GB of RAM.  bla bla bla, puke...whatever.  Bottom line is this:
It's not a software issue.  It's not and Adobe issue; and Gawd no!  It's NOT a PC vs. Mac issue!  HA HA.  The software had worked swimmingly well prior to the reinstallation / 'lobotomy' I perfomed on the system drive.
    SOLUTION FOR ME:
Download and install the updated drivers for the motherboard.  Mine is an Intel Workstation Board S5520SC.  Intel has an INTEL DRIVER UPDATE UTILITY which automatically scaned my Intel system and identified drivers which needed updating.  A very handy, time-saving tool!!!  Here's the URL: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect?iid=dc_iduu
The scan revealed two Intel drivers needing an update:
    Intel Chipset
    Wired Networking
    and one non-intel driver:
    Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-fi
I downloaded and installed these three drivers, rebooted, and tested PremierePro, and was extatic to find this resolved the problem.
If you have a motherboard from another manufacturer, then you may want to navigate over to their wibsite to locate chipset and other updated drivers for your motherboard.
    ROOT CAUSE:
While Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate was able to install certain default drivers during the Operating System installation (keeping in mind that this was done on an Intel Solid State Drive that I formatted using Quick Format) these default chipset drivers apparently weren't current and were ultimately the root cuase of the jerky video playback within PremierePro CS5.
    Peace

  • Windows edited/saved project crashing on  mac (adobe premiere cs5)

    hi there
i really hope you can help.
i have edited video files on adobe premiere cs5 on a windows 7 machine and saved the project ffiles on an external drive formy friend to colour grade and finalise etc
he can open the video files in adobe premiere, but its crashing his mac system and some video files arent opening
he says he has all the latest codec files but it has gone to the extent of the files crashing his system and it won't boot..
my files were a mixture of mpeg and avi files...
is there anything that can be causing this problem.
he is in a different city from me, so i am not going to see him for a while and i want these video files edited as soon as really
thanks and i hope you can suggest thingss that may help finding the problem

Welll you wont be able to if you do not have the computer anymore.
Do a search on EDLs in Premiere (or any NLE) so you know about them for next time.
Whatever...I suspect the issue is at your colleagues end and needs to be sorted there.  Someone with a Mac may chime in on how PPRO win project files and PPro Mac project files work.

  • Premiere CS5, Render with Filters/Plugins or Export with Filters/Plugins without Render???

Hey People, my Very First Question on Here,
Does anyone know if i use CS5 Premiere, and used a Plugin such as NeatVideo or even a Filter, do i first need to render the file before i export or can i just add the plugin make the changes and export to a file format of my choice.?

Great Thanks for this, i used Canopus Eduis 5 to edit this footage from AVCHD to Canopus HQ. Then Exported the file to a Uncompressed AVI RGB File and Imported into Adobe Premiere CS5, Applied the Neat Video Filter, Setup it up and Now its ready for Export. But you have Said i Can Export Without Render and It shoul dbe fine. Which is Good. As Render would have taken 55Hours on my Intel i7 X980 CPU with 12GB Ram. Export will Take about 42Hours into a AVI File.
Thanks for you help if you think of anything else to sace time please message me.

  • Premiere CS5.5 y CS4 andan lento Problem: ¿Hardware o Software?

    AMD Athlon X3
    ATI RADEON HD 5770
    4 Giga RAM
    Mother GIGABYTE 870A
    Disco 1 TB partido
    SO Windows 7 64 Bits

    http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/tech-specs.html

  • Lagarith+premiere cs5 help

sorry if this is a dumb question, but can someone tell me how to use lagarith? I know i installed it because I went to WMP-abouts-technical information, and I can see Lagarith under Video Codecs. But when I go to premiere cs5, I can't find lagarith under one of the export options. Is there something I should do?

    hello Ann,
    regarding lagarith and uncompressed video
i have an lcd hdtv bigger than my monitor
i want to see what 1920x1080 30p looks like big
can i render my canon hfs10 avchd 24mb/s footage as a lagarith avi
and then run it through an hdmi cable
and get a true full hd 1920x1080 signal
    OR
because i had to manually raise the HxW scale to 1920x1080 from the default scale settings of SD (standard def)
    that LAGARITH offers
the footage is somehow 'upsampled' to 1920x1080
and i'm not seeing a true hd signal
(i can't afford buying blu-ray discs yet, but am doing a lot of exporting tests)
(i've been following Shooterenz thread about AVCHD as a professional medium
    and have seen your comments)
    thanks in advance,
    jeffrey school teacher
(don't know if i am complicating a simple process)

  • Premiere cs5 and message "not responding"

I Have a brand new i7 system with windows 7 64bit, 6Gb ram, gtx 280 graphic card, one ssd disk 128 gb (main)
and two hard disk 2 TB as raid, proper for video editing (sata II, 7200rpm), i use intensity pro as outpout card.
I am trying to edit with premiere cs5 and I use few AE project.
Unfortunately the programm is unstable, very often i have the message "not responding", especcially when I load
projects and when i try to save my project. Also the programm working very -very slow.
Help, can someone help me? Iam very-very-very dissapointed and iam thinking if i have to try another programm.........
    any help is accepted..............

i have installed 3.9.1 version and its seems to work properly.
    I restarted the system.
I found that probably small projects (220 min avi ) work better instead
of the bigger projects (220 min avi video+10 AE proj+3 phd proj)
    where the system frozen.
I think the problem is the volume of data transfer and the transfer capacity,
probably this is problem with the disk or partition?
Unfortunately I am not the expert about computers, basic electronics and
    computers skills.
I wonder why cs5 worked properly when i worked with ouadro fx580 and
1tb hard disk (until 30 ayg 2010) and know -after the changes- with
raid 2 tb hard disk ang grx 285 graphic card  the system ia almost
    out of order.

    KISCH
H.264 or AVCHD (MPEG4 AVC/H.264).avi is not supported by Premiere Elements 13 or earlier. You will need to convert this file to a format that
Premiere Elements supports. Consider H.264.mp4 or AVCHD.mp4.
Depending on the video compression, Premiere Elements 13 does support files wrapped with the .avi file extension. And, the AVCHD video compression is a supported video compression. But the combination of H.264 or AVCHD with .avi (wrapper format) is not.
Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thank you.

  • Exporting video,adobe premiere cs5

I used adobe premiere cs5 to make a video which includes photos and videos. It's 40 min long. When i do export, microsoft AVI format, it comes out too big (8.5 Gb) and i can't copy it to SD cards or memory stick.
How can i make it "copyable" and smaller (Gb)?
    The sequence settings:
    Editing mode: desktop
    Timebase: 29.97 f/s
    Frame size: 800x600
    Thank you!

There are endless choices of codecs and settings you could use. If you tell us the intended delivery, we can narrow it down. Do you want to share with friends to watch on other computers? Online streaming? DVD?
    Thanks

  • Camtasia 7.1 with Premiere CS5

I'm using Premiere CS5 (NOT 4 or 3 or 2 or 1.5 etc.) and am trying to import a good hi-res file from Camtasia 7.1 (NOT any earlier versions).
I have had no success at getting a full-length file from any codec (including MS1, MSU, Lagarith) to import into CS5 properly. MSU gave me audio only (not 64 bit, I guess). Lagarith gave me about 1.5 minutes of a 6 minute video (not avi II, I guess). MS1 did the same as Lagarith (again, incompatible avi wrapper).
I'm not sure why a program as simple as Media Player can handle files that something so complex (read: expensive) as Premiere trips over, but I would certainly appreciate any help with CS5 (NOT 4 or 3 or 2 or 1.5 etc.) and Camtasia 7.1 (NOT any earlier versions). I have done the search for such on this CS5 forum but keep seeing things from non-CS5 users and I'm not finding answers in their posts.

Well, I am looking to solve that. Any suggestions?
Again, Media Player has no problem with the files, they appear intact end-to-end. That looks to me like less of a Lagarith problem than an Adobe problem. Even the Camtasia uncompressed avi won't import through CS5's narrow gateway. I'm aware that "standardization" is a vulgar swearword in the software world and, sadly, an avi isn't an avi isn't an avi, but I'd expect a little broader latitude from a program aimed at video professionals who often have to deal with a considerable variey of customer files.
