Premiere CS5 fail to load if not administrator

We need to be able to run premiere pro without beeing administrator. We are using it in a computer lab so the first ting we know when everyone is admin s that we will need a complete reinstallation after 24h.
It was working fine with CS3 and CS4 but with CS5, only Premiere generate an applcation crash. Here is the error from the event veiwer

I have set compatibility mode to Vista SP2 on the executable and I'm now able to launch Premiere CS5 without having administrative privilege .

Encore CS5 fails to load in Windows 7

I have been using a trial version of Premier Pro CS5 and today paid up to get a S/N and registered. Premier loads fine and seems OK at first glance, but Encore CS5, which looks as if it came in the package, fails to load. It freezes at the loading graphic with the 'Initializing transcoding' apparently stuck. Is Encore not included in the package I paid for or have I missed something?

Well... this is what I found out and what I did to "fix" my problem. First my situation was that I had 2 drives, a lite-on blu-ray rom drive that was supposed to basically read anything, and a pioneer blu-ray burner. I was going to use the rom drive to do my reading and reserve the burner for just that, burning. What I found out, because Encore would freeze when loading, was that Adobe uses a Roxio routine to go out and get the information about all the drive in the environment to know how to use said drive(s) for this session. The Roxio routines hang in an endless loop, for me, on the rom drive. When I go into device manager and disable the rom drive, Encore loads just fine and I can master... whatever, and burn or create ISO images and go on my merry way. When done, I can re-enable the drive and use it as intended except for trying to use it in Encore.
This happens in CS3, CS4, CS5, and I think I tried it in CS5.5. Roxio never has "fixed" the problem.
My fix to fix the problem.. I replaced the blu-ray rom drive with another pioneer burner. Turns out the new drive was a newer version. So I moved the older version pioneer to the lower drive letter and use it as the reader drive for anything and setup the newer pioneer drive as my burner drive. Encore loads with both drives enabled, I can master anything, and eveything works fine. I've given up trying to have a rom drive for "just reading".
Also, given up testing to see if Roxio has ever "fixed" thier init routines for Encore. It always works this way with 2 burners on my system. One I use as a "reader" all the time which is also my backup burner and one as my "production" burner. And BTW, I usually build on ISO image with Encore and use Image Burn to burn my multiple copies output.
This is my "fix"!!

Soundbooth (CS5) fails to load a set of .aif files (that other programs can happily open)

Soundbooth is failing to open a set of .aif files, has anyone had a similar problem? I have tried loading these .aif files in other programs, but every program in CS5 fails to open them.
Does anyone know why this is happening, have any similar experiences or know if and when this is going to be resolved?
Considering I paid for this I am very disappointed that I've been having so much troubles loading aif and wave files that so many other programs open without any issues - and I've not heard a word in response to my actual problem that I have been reporting on for a few months now.

When I say "I have tried loading these .aif files in other programs", I mean outside of CS5, and they open the files without any trouble.

Hi Vipin,
Might be the way you're deploying your ADF UI project.
Are you right clicking the name of your ADF UI project in the Application Navigator tab and then clicking "Deploy"? While this works great for your BPM composite project, you'll get errors like this when deploying the ADF project in the same manner.

Thumbnails not loading, crashing in Premiere CS5.5

I'm working with a ton of Apple XDCAM EX 1920x1080 files. It was shot over the course of five days, organized by day and then each day has folders for each card. I'm importing all the footage into Premiere CS5.5. Because there is so much footage I like to look at things in thumbnail view to quickly see what's what. But, starting in Day four and going into Day 5, the clips stop loading thumbnails. When I click on some of these "blank" clips, Premiere freezes up and crashes.
I have an older build of CS6 (my company has yet to actually BUY CS6) and the problem doesn't happen. All the clips have thumbnails. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm working on a 2010 Mac Pro, OSX 10.6.8, with Premiere 5.5.2. The issue is happening in the Project panel. Nothing has been added to the timeline (but the Sequence settings are Sony XDCAM HD 1080p, 23.976fps). The crash is indeed from a corrupt file, but it was only one. The rest play back fine in the Source monitor, no crashing, just no thumbnails.
For testing, I opened a new project in FCP and all the thumbnails show up and it even plays back the corrupt file. And, as I said, they show up in an older CS6 build of Premiere.
It's not THAT big of a deal, just a minor frustration. Wanted to see if its happened to anyone else. Thanks guys!

Waves plugins in Premiere CS5 (Mac) not loading.

I have the Waves "Masters" plugins and would like to use them in Premiere CS5 for Mac. Problem is that they do not load.
Here's what the "Plugin Loading.log" file says about it:
Scanning /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST and sub-directories
Loading /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/WaveShell-VST 8.0.vst
The registry tells us to cache so the plugin will be loaded from the cache.
The plugin is marked as Ignore, so it will not be loaded.
What does this means?

I don't know anything about Waves "Masters" plugins,
but if they're not 64bit versions they won't work.

Long load times normal for Adobe Media Encoder from Premiere CS5?

When I export a sequence from Adobe Premiere CS5 using Adobe Media Encoder, the system freezes for several minutes before giving me the exporter screen. Then, when I've loaded my settings and clicked "export," the system again freezes for several minutes before beginning to encode. I'm using a system with an Intel I7 CPU 930 @ 2.80Ghz 2.80 Ghz., 24 GB of ram, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit operating system and an Nvidia quadro FX4800 graphics card.. Everything else is fast, but AME is slow. Is this normal? Should I reinstall AME?

Not sure what you mean about the process. From Premiere CS5, I click on "export" which brings up a menu. I select "media" from the menu which brings up the Adobe Media Encoder. I adjust my settings and click "export" from the bottom of the screen to immediately render the Premiere file. Clicking "Queue" would put the program into the AME Queue. Am I missing something? On the slowness issue, looks like I need to reinstall AME. I've been reluctant to do that, partially because I'm using some Matrox hardware and I'll have to reinstall the Matrox softare to populate the matrox settings into the media encoder. Looks like it may be worth it.

Gentlemen, I have wasted a day and probably lost my entire Itunes music collection by allowing an upgrade of Itunes version 11.1.4 Interesting because the other upgrades were routine. This failed to load and the message of missing MSVCR80.dll file and verify that you have sufficient privilege to start system service are of little comfort. Have re-installed numerous times to no avail. Wassup? I need help.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (If this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

"Library not found or failed to load" on other system

Dear all,
I have searched the forum a little and found similar problems, but not really a solution. Therefore I will give it a try with this post:
I have two computers both similar: Windows 7, 64-bits, Labview 2011 (service pack 1) installed.
And the goal is to acquire images from a BitFlow frame-grabber.
BitFlow provided software for the frame-grabber, which is tested for windows 7, 64 bits and Labview 2011. With one of the machines (machine A), the programming is working fine. No problems there.
On the other machine (machine B), Labview is unable to read the provided library: After selecting the library in the Call Library Function Node, Labview gives the error "Library not found or failed to load" at the Call Library Function Node.
Machine B has - in all my knowledge - the same configuration of all the software compared to machine A, therefore I have no idea what the problem is here. The only difference is that machine B has a different computer security protocol - but it does have administrator rights...
Additionally, I have tried a stand-alone executable (and installer) which did work on a third machine, but not on the machine B - due to the same problem.
Does anybody have a clue in what direction I should search for the solution? Or what the problem may be? Or what I am missing here?

Well while the message could be more elaborate and make an explicit difference between file not found and not being able to load it, if LabVIEW would do some extra humba mumba woodoo, it's exactly what Windows tells an application when it tries to load a DLL. That error code simply says, sorry I couldn't load the DLL and that could be becuase it doesn't exist but also because I couldn't load it for other reasons, such as missing dependencies, (or a corrupted OS, or whatever else). Not very helpful for sure, and I'm not sure LabVIEW should try to be smarter than Windows here, by trying to see if the DLL did actually exist. For all it's worth it could be a text file, or anything else that is not a DLL at all, having the DLL name!
An interesting read that actually explains the problem a bit more can be found here. You see that it is not a LabVIEW problem but just about anyones problem who has to deal with DLLs that can come just about from anywhere.
The best way to see what dependencies your DLL has, is to load it with the Dependency Viewer program mentioned in there. It has it's problems nowadays on Windows 7 systems but still can give you some useful informations.

Premiere cs5 and message "not responding"

I Have a brand new i7 system with windows 7 64bit, 6Gb ram, gtx 280 graphic card, one ssd disk 128 gb (main)
and two hard disk 2 TB as raid, proper for video editing (sata II, 7200rpm), i use intensity pro as outpout card.
I am trying to edit with premiere cs5 and I use few AE project.
Unfortunately the programm is unstable, very often i have the message "not responding", especcially when I load
projects and when i try to save my project. Also the programm working very -very slow.
Help, can someone help me? Iam very-very-very dissapointed and iam thinking if i have to try another programm.........

i have installed 3.9.1 version and its seems to work properly.
I restarted the system.
I found that probably small projects (220 min avi ) work better instead
of the bigger projects (220 min avi video+10 AE proj+3 phd proj)
where the system frozen.
I think the problem is the volume of data transfer and the transfer capacity,
probably this is problem with the disk or partition?
Unfortunately I am not the expert about computers, basic electronics and
computers skills.
I wonder why cs5 worked properly when i worked with ouadro fx580 and
1tb hard disk (until 30 ayg 2010) and know -after the changes- with
raid 2 tb hard disk ang grx 285 graphic card the system ia almost
out of order.

FireFox images not loading in local folders (firebug error-Failed to load given URL)

I am having difficulty when developing websites in local folders (Windows7 computer). The webpages I make are showing images in IE9 & Chrome but not FireFox (nor Safari nor Opera).
In FireFox I get Firebug "Failed to load given URL" prompt.
I am using html5 & external linked css stylesheet & the html/html5 & css code validates.
I have tried using rel path ie images/image.gif & absolute path references ie C:/RPD_Programming/RPD WEB/amwcsnew/index.html
and have tried using % to eliminate whitespace in references but I cannot get FireFox to display images!!
This has been a problem for me for around 2 weeks now & is very frustrating. Some website code/templates I have downloaded from the internet display the websites properly (ie load images fine) when I open them locally in FireFox. Why does my code not allow the images to load in FireFox (paths/permissions/other issue??). How can I fix this?

You need to use file:// as the protocol instead of C:/. The latter may never work (C:\ might).
Where is the main HTML located ?
Easiest if to store the images in a sub folder of the location because you can't go back via ../ beyond that root location for security reasons.

Just did a downgrade and it's working again, here are my versions.
linux 3.9.9-1
linux-headers 3.9.9-1
nvidia 319.32-2
nvidia-utils 319.32-1
bbswitch 0.7-4
If you have conflicts, I found it easiest to remove those (bbswitch, virtualbox in my case), downgrade linux and then install the appropriate bbs/vb packages

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

I uploaded 2 x small Wordpress sites to Azure this morning using the local Git repository on my iMac. They worked fine when I checked them earlier and now I see the websites are not loading correctly with 30+ errors on each effecting all .css, .js and
.jpg files - using view source, these are the error messages.
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
When I open the web root in my ftp client the files are definitely there as you would expect. I am using Azure Small Basic Hosting, any thoughts on what has gone wrong and how to fix the websites?

http://templestudios.azurewebsites.net/ ,so I think you create templestudios as your azure website name. it seems that the page will go directory to another page, one image html code as below.
