Premiere CS6 Capture Problem

Hi,
I have a HD Sony Camera output HDSDI to a Blackmagic ATEM 1 switcher. From there I output to a Blackmagic UltraStudio Express via HDSDI. I capture in Premiere CS6. We capture about 1 1/2 - 2 hours of footage every session. A number of times, when I press stop on the capture window, the save box never comes up. I would wait up to half and hour sometimes and it doesn't come up at all. I'm forced to close the capture window and I have a dud file that's about 140gb.
Does anyone know why the save window wouldn't come up after I push stop? Premiere still works fine after I close the capture window. It's like the capture crashes but Premiere is fine.

I ev been Using Premiere since ages .. Same setup works fine on my other machiene But I custom Made this and put very expensive Quadro6000 in it and now what ever setting I start it only Captures .mp3 formate ... last nite funny thing happened I Played That mp3 File on a Video Conveter's Player and it played all fune with Video and Sound ..
Premiere is creating this File but unable to read it makes me Cry .. I thing there is some Codec missing .. I am ZerO when it comes to Computers Hard and soft wares .. Plz see if you can hel me ..

Music slightly out of sync when exporting in Premiere CS6, format problem?

Hi guys, i have a quick question.
I edited together a promo for a local band and everything is perfect in the sequence as far as being on point with the music at certain beats and such. However when I export it the music is slightly out of sync, which is bad when you edited everything specificly to the song. I am not using ANY audio from the footage but instead layed a music track over everything. I'm not sure what else to do, could it be a format problem? I am using h.264 (see below), but would AVI or anything else work better? any help is appreciated thank you!
I am exporting directly from inside Premiere CS6 using a custom H.264 preset. 24fps, VBR 2 pass encoding. Target 7MB, Max 11MB. (with render at maxium bit depth, and render at highest quaility selected.)
I put the audio settings to high, 320kbs AAC format.
I use a custom built PC with an i7-3770K, 32 GB RAM, and I exported to a 120GB SSD.
Any other info you need just ask.any types for uploading to vimeo so it doesn't get out of sync there? thank you in advance!

I dont think that you will really get a problem while exporting in any of the given formats. But i would really like to check if the audio layer is exactly same as of the video. for eg - if my audio is 00:05:30 and my video is 00:05:20 , we might face issue with the sync.
We can try to put more black video to make it a match with the audio and then try to export.
Where do you have the media files , on a internal drive like c: or desktop? In case not , try to move the media files to desktop and then try to export.
Also instead of exporting the files to your 120GB SSD , try to export it on the desktop.

Hi since i installed premiere CS6 i have a lot of problems
THE PC that i have is win 7 pro 64 bits SSD disk for systems and 2 HDD SAta of 2TB each one

first problem >> premiere don't start usually i have to press shift + left control in order enter to premiere
also on the timeline the video always freeze
sometimes proyects don't open, i have to create a new one and them import the proyect that didn't work
today i have problem with Error Compiling Movie: Unknown Error
i can't render now
i try to render in little part, but before it get 100% the render increase and decrease and never end to render??? for example 98.5% them 98.1% them 98.7% 98.9% 97.5% and the loop continue
i think could be problem due to MXF fileS?

also make a new sequence each time that i have problems fix all but today, i create several sequence but Error Compiling Movie: Unknown Error can't fix so i'm not able to render this proyect

Premiere CS6 install problem

I just attempted to install Premiere CS6 on a system that already has Premiere CS5 - it meets all minimum requirements. I also installed After Effects with no issues. The installer gave me 24 non-fatal errors - mostly some temp files it could not remove. The installer now indicates that Premiere CS6 is on my computer, but it isn't there. I do have some folders for Premiere CS6 Family and it shows up in my control panel under installed programs, but I am unable to find it in the start menu or even in the program folder (this is a Windows computer running Windows 7), 8 GB memory and a high-end GeForce card, Intel quad-4 processor. Can I uninstall using the control panel and attempt a reinstall?
Update - I uninstalled Premiere CS6 and tried again - still getting the following errors:

However, the Manager indicates these are optional components - still can't locate Premiere CS6 - it simply isn't on my system!

Palm-harbor please make sure you don't have any Adobe Creative Applications running when you are installing. Also the DW063 and DF024 errors can be indications of file permission issues. If you have closed all Adobe Creative applications but continue to receive the same errors then please follow the steps listed in Error "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" | Install log | Read, write, system file errors | CS5, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-exit-6-exit-7.html to adjust your file permissions.

Multiple Adobe Premiere CS6 workspace problems Win 7

Here's a screenshot of my workspace [img]http://i.imgur.com/jseNN6c.jpg[/img] to help to describe the problems I'm facing.
1. Why can't I get the top right pane to match the top left's aspect by default?
After madly mouse clicking around the top right pane image crosshairs come up and I've managed to manually adjust the image onto a black background, see this screenshot [img]http://i.imgur.com/m2CccdH.jpg[/img]
And after all this fuss I'm worried my output video quality will not be the crisp resolution of the left hand frame, but the much more blurry right hand pane.
2. I'm trying to insert keyframes with stuff like people's names.
Adobe help keeps on telling me to locate a 'wrench shaped' icon in the bottom timeline frame - I can't find one and continue following the keyframe instructions.
3. If I undock a panel, and say drag it across my extended desktop to my second screen - how do I re-dock it? Can see an undock command but not a re-dock?

After looking at the screenshot of the issue you have, I can say that you have not selected the correct sequence settings.
After Import all the clips in Premiere Pro please right click on one of the clips and choose the option "New Sequence from Clip". It will create a new sequence for you with the correct settings and you will have full image on the program monitor as well.

Premiere CS4 capture problem?

Well.. my capture was sucessfull, but I don't know why all captured video clips (avi) from my camera have horizontal lines in all movements.

Premiere CS6 Interlacing Problem

I have some DV widescreen footage that I have captured via a Canon Xl1. I create a new sequence from the DV widescreen format and drop it onto the timeline. I have my Canon Xl1 hooked up to firewire feeding a CRT PAL monitor. The playback flikers on the CRT monitor. If I then reverse the fields the playback is smooth yet the timeline becomes red indicating the footage no longer adheres to the sequence preset. The sequence preset is Lower Field first. The footage is showing as Lower Field First in the Project Panel.
If I then create a DV sequence with a setting of Upper Field First and drop the same footage onto that timeline, Premiere states that the footage is incorrect for the sequence. Very strange, anybody help?

If you open up your media in the Source Monitor and play it back does it flicker? If it does right click the media file in your bin and go to Modify ---> Interpret Footage and go down to where it says Field Order and check if it says Lower Field First in Use Field Order from File. If it does check the Conform To check box and select the reverse field order from there, which would be Upper Field First if the above holds true. Now play back the same video file in the Source Monitor. Does it still flicker?
If it doesen't, select all your media files, right click Modify ---> Interpret Footage go to Field Order and check Conform To and select Upper Field First. This will change the field order for all your media files.
Now drag a video file from your bin into the New Item icon on the lower right of the project panel, this will create a sequence for you with the settings of your file and you should be good to go.
If it still flickered after changing the field order and viewing through the Source Monitor go to preferences and see that your video out settings are set right.
I can't remember if PAL DV 16:9 should actually be upper field first since it's been ages when I last worked with interlaced SD.

And the display is not smooth and i get a choppiest playback.
i use a footage from my sony ex3 (mp4) (and i mach the sequence to the footage).
on the time line there is a yellow line.
So far so good and we can say that the system can not handle the file.
but - i am using the quadro 4000 and the tesla c2047 THE maximus technology of nvidia compeny .
But here is the big question
I stop the QUDA in the project setting (video rendering and playbeck ) and use the mercury playbeck engine software only (red line on the time line) and
Magicly video displays smoothly.
If something has an idea I'd love to hear

I'm sure I used to get all 4 tracks from my XL1s, If I rememder correctly there was one Avi with a stereo track and a separate wav with the other pair. When in 4 track mode the audio is only 12 bit. The computer I used back then had a Matrox RT100 board, It might have been a Matrox utility that I used for the capture.

64 bit support is required to install Premier Pro CS6. You will not be able to install it on 32 bit machine as it does not meet the minimum system requirements.

XDCAM-EX problem with .MOV files on Premiere CS6

Hello!
I've been working in a video project on Premiere CS5 with video files .MOV from a JVC camera and from a Sony XDCAM EX. I've installed the Premiere CS6 TRIAL. The project has been converted: I get to watch and edit the .MOV files from the JVC Cam, BUT I can't load the media .MOV from XDCAM EX, It says the codec is missing or unavailable... I got the same problem with some .DV files working before on CS5...
I looked for the codec info and I found this one: MediaCoreQTCodecRulesCS6.xml
It shouldn't be working?
Why if all the files were working with Premiere CS5, They are not with Premiere CS6, being this one the latest version of the software? Is it due to be a trial version of the software?
I would really appreciate your help on this issue!

Officially you need FCP installed to work with XDCAM EX Movs. Are you on a mac or PC?
However, this is an update for quicktime on macs that gives you the XDCAM EX codec:

Not sure if there's an equivalent for PCs.

Premiere Pro CS6 Capture Error after update

After updating Premiere Pro CS6 I can't capture with the Sony HVR-M10E (HDV MAZ) anymore. The tape-deck is connected to the computer via firewire. Using OSX 10.7.5. System message: Critical Error. Premiere CS6 is not responig in any way. Please help!

Premiere Pro CS5.5 Batch Capture Problems

Hi,
I'm sorry for the repost, but the older questions I can find on this topic won't allow me to reply and they were never answered (last post several months ago).
I'm having the batch capture problem with Premiere Pro CS5.5. Capture with device control works great when single capturing. When I log clips and attempt to batch capture, though, I get the "capture failed: device not found" error in my capture log. I have checked through the FAQ and the complete premiere manual on batch capturing. I've set my device (still using a Canon XL1) and even checked the video size...it matches that of my project (someone on another forum mentioned that this could be an issue). I have had no luck.
Could anyone tell me if this issue has been resolved, or redirect me to a resolution?

I have encountered this problem if the current tape position is beyond the last recorded point when you start the batch capture or if any "OUT" points are beyond the last recorded position or if the capture spans any unrecorded portions of the tape. I always thought it was my camera but maybe it is a PPro issue.

Problem with Premiere CS6 download

Hello,
Premiere CS6 is showing as downloaded in my creative cloud apps, but is not on my computer. I can't uninstall it (because its not there) and reinstall and I can't download it again until I've uninstall it (but there's nothing to uninstall). I'm not sure how this has happened but can anyone help, I use CS6 for work.
