Premiere cs6 cc cannot export to media encoder

Suddenly today, Premiere cs6 cc sequence export to queue not appearing in media encoder.

This sounds like a glitch in Dynamic Link that is the communication portal between Premiere and AME.  I know this sounds too simple, but alot of time a simple reboot solves this problem.
Also, you wrote "Premiere CS6 CC sequence".
So are you using Premeire CS6 or Premiere CC?
You should also keep Premiere and AME in sync.
So if you update Premiere to 7.0.1, you should also update AME to 7.0.1.
Otherwise there could be a mismatch in Dynamic Link.

  • Premiere Pro CS6 stops during export (Adobe Media Encoder also)

    Hello,
I have been using the Adobe CS6 Video Bundle for a few years now and suddenly I've been having an issue with exporting my timelines in an H.264 format.
Any H.264 video that I try to export that exceeds approximately 900MB stops in the middle of the export and gives me this message:
My video bundle has been doing some odd things lately and this is possibly the most annoying. My computer is a custom built workstation so it's not like my computer can't handle it.
    -Intel i7 4.2ghz overclocked CPU
    -32GB RAM
-Adobe Video Bundle installed in 120GB SSD
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Nate

    Thank you for your response.
-I tried exporting an AVI and the file exported succesfully but with a warning "Adobe Media Encoder Could not write XMP data in output file." The file plays fine though and is over 5.5GB. So that's odd that my h.264 which is under 1GB won't fully export.
-Yes, the same thing happens when exporting directly from PrPro instead of using AME.
-In this project I am using NO Dynamic Links.
-I have not installed any codec libraries.
    -I do not use 3rd party plug-ins.
-My destination drive has several terabytes.
    Thanks,

  • Premiere Pro freezes after exporting with Media Encoder

So I'm running the latest version of CC.
Mac Pro, OSX 10.9.2, 8-Core Xeon, 24GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB
I've got a very simple and straight forward timeline. After sending "Exporting Media" via queue to Media Encoder, everything exports fine. But after returning to Premiere, it has become impossibly slow--practically frozen. No crash, no error message, just takes about 60 seconds for any clicks to register. I click save project, and the saving progress bar does not visibly progress, yet it seems to actually successfully save the project, because closing and launching premiere, the file is saved up-to-date just fine.
So for the past few days, I've been saving --> export/queue timeline --> quit premiere --> allow queue to complete --> then relaunch premiere... Of course, this is only a temporary work around.
Now, if I "Export" the media only without queueing in Encoder, it does fine and premiere remains stable and normal.
    Ideas?

  • Why will After Effects not export to Media Encoder?

After Effects cannot export to Media Encoder. I've tried to queue it within After Effects (nothing happens,) I've tried to import it from within Media Encoder (it hangs on a loading dialogue forever,) and I've tried restarting my computer. All to no avail. I've also tried multiple AE projects. And yes, I've made sure I am viewing the queue in Media Encoder. Any clues?

    Ok.
Running Adobe Creative Cloud, latest versions on both After Effects and Media Encoder. As for render settings, I never get to that part. When I export to render in Media Encoder, nothing happens. Here are the settings for one of the compositions and projects I was trying to export:

  • Premiere Pro CC not queuing exports into Media Encoder CC

I try to make this simple...
standard export from PP CC to ME CC
File -> export -> media, then hit queue.
Media encoder opens and just sits there. Left it for hours to see if anything would ever happen, and nothing ever did.
I've restarted the programs and machine dozens of times and that does nothing.
I can still export from PP CC.
I have no CS6 products left on my box.
I also tried to open the project from Media Encoder and load the sequence that way with no luck.

I had this exact same problem, and I figured out the solution in my case.  I know the original problem report is ancient, but there are recent replies, so I am adding my solution here.  I spent untold hours figuring this out, so hopefully this will save someone else some time.
There can be other causes to this problem, I'm sure.  I'm just telling you about what fixed this problem for me.
Just to clarify, here is the symptom: Running Windows 8.1.  Standard export from Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 to Media Encoder CC 2014.2, using File -> Export -> click Queue.  Media Encoder opens and just sits there.  Premiere Pro is hung and has to be forcibly terminated.
I spent countless hours on this.  I thought I had messed up my computer's configuration somehow, so (believe it or not) I re-installed Windows on a freshly formatted hard disk, re-installed Creative Suite, same problem.  (I can't believe I wasted all that time; I feel like a dummy.)
I finally narrowed it down to a very simple test case with a very tiny one-clip sequence that is less than one second long.  Same problem.
It turned out to be a problem in the Premiere Pro project file itself.  I suspect that a small file corruption somehow snuck into the project file, that was completely invisible.  In that clip in my project, if I removed the "Vocal Enhancer" effect, the problem with exporting to Media Encoder went away.  If I then re-added the very same "Vocal Enhancer" effect, the problem was still gone.  It must be some small corruption in the ".prproj" file that went away when I removed the "Vocal Enhancer" effect and re-added it again.
NOTE: I DON'T think that there is some kind of bug with the "Vocal Enhancer" effect.  I don't think this problem has anything to do with "Vocal Enhancer" per se.  It is just some kind of small generic corruption in the project file.  When Premiere Pro tries to export that sequence to Media Encoder, the problem occurs.  It was just a coincidence in my case that removing and re-adding the "Vocal Enhancer" effect made the problem go away.
BOTTOM LINE: If you find that you have this bug where Premiere Pro hangs when exporting to the Media Encoder queue, try the following: Create a brand new project with a single clip in it, and export it to the Media Encoder queue.  If that works, you know that it is not a problem with Premiere Pro in general; it's a problem in your specific project file.  Once you've made this determination, make a copy of your original project file, and remove clips from the project until the problem goes away.  Keep narrowing it down until you find the clip(s) that are the issue.  Then, try removing and re-adding any effects on those clips, or even removing and re-adding the clips themselves, to fix the problem.  Eventually, by removing and re-adding a specific effect or clip to your project, the problem will vanish (hopefully).  It's just a matter of narrowing down which half of your project the problem occurs in, then which half of that half, etc., until you have it narrowed down to one clip or group of clips that need to be removed and re-added.
Having said all this, it is a bug that ideally should be fixed so someone else doesn't spend untold hours trying to figure out the problem.  To that end, I create a tiny ZIP file that just has project file and the single media clip needed to reproduce the problem, along with a small description "READ ME.txt" file that explains the very simple steps to reproduce the problem.  I have submitted this as a bug report to Adobe using their official online bug report form at www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform along with a link to the ZIP file so they can download and reproduce the problem.
If anyone else is curious about reproducing this same bug, you can also download the small ZIP file if you want to.  I guarantee it doesn't have any viruses or anything - it's just two small files to reproduce the problem.  To download the ZIP file containing that project file, media file, and "READ ME.txt" file, you can get it at www.forgaard.com/files/PremiereProBug.zip.
I hope this saves someone some time.  This one sucked up a zillion hours of me chasing apparitions.
I was having a problem with exporting a sequence to AME.  PPro would freeze and I would have to force the program to close.  This was on a project where I was just running out a bunch of interview clips for the director to look at.  One of them had a audio effect (DeHummer) on it, and it was the one that was giving me troubles.  I selected the audio and right clicked then "Render and Replace" then it would export to AME with no issue.  Thank you for your well written response to this thread.  While it may not have fixed the OP's issue, it did help with mine....
    Thanks,
    Phil

  • How do I export on Media Encoder CC and play on Premiere Pro CC without affecting the export?

I can export on media encoder and play on Premiere at the same time if I save my project > Close premiere pro > open Media encoder > import premiere pro sequence > start export > and open my project on premiere again.
But I`m having some issues with the playback quality (sometimes it stop and the audio starts getting out of sync), and the export gets slow.
Is there anything I can do to export and play at the same time?
I need the full quality of preview.
    Working with codecs XDCAM HD 422 and ProRes 422 on Mac Os X 10.7.5 (2 X 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon) wiht 24GB 1066 DDR3 RAM
    Hope u guys can help.

You can just queue up the export right from PP, start the encode and then go back to PP to continue working.  No need to close anything.
Doing this will slow down the export process, as PP will steal whatever resources it needs to run, often pausing AME to do so.

  • Exporting to Media Encoder crashes Premiere Pro CC 2014

    Greetings,
I am experiencing a problem with premiere off and on. Right now it is an on problem. When I am exporting from Premiere Pro CC (and CC 2014) it will intermittently crash Premiere. I have tried this with several different audio and video formats (AVI [Lagarith and uncompressed], WAV, H.264, MPG2, AAC, etc). At the moment, every time I go to export to queue it locks up and hangs on the "Preparing data for export..." Media Encoder Launches and then it just freezes. I get "Problem Even Name: AppHangB1" over and over. Sometimes a full restart will fix this temporarily and sometimes it goes away for a long while. I managed to get a few sequences exported and then it just kept freezing on every PP CC restart.
    Here are my system specs:
Premiere Pro CC (up to date)
Win 7 64bit (up to date)
    i7 970
    24GB Ram
NVIDIA 470GTX (driver up to date)
    3 x 1.5TB internal
    4TB internal
    3TB internal
    12TB RAID 5 via USB 3.0
    USB 2.0 and 3.0 drives
FireWire audio device (M-AUDIO FireWire1814)... although, I am not using it for playback. It is connected.
Footage is from C100 H.264 .MTS, H.264.mov from 7D, and H.264 .MOV from iPhone.
All stock video plugins with a few third party audio plugs.
This problem happens with and without third party plugs, but it happens that this project uses them.
I have chatted with Adobe help twice about the matter and nothing has come of it. Log out, log in = same. Restart = same (sometimes), create new user account = same, and so on. The only thing I haven't done is completely re-install premiere, which seems a bit overkill. One of the reps said he would get back to me in a few days after he watched the issue via screen share. Never heard back.
I get the sense that this has something to do with PProHeadless.exe not launching or not running properly. When the crash happens on a fresh restart of PP CC 2014 PProHeadless is not running. I can start PProHeadless and it will send sequence to media encoder. When I try to export another sequence from the same project it crashes and I see another instance of PProHeadless launched.
Also, once the projects are exported to Media Encoder, I can encode them to any format with no problem. The problem is getting the sequences there!
Is there anything that I am overlooking here?
    Thanks for the help!

    Hi
    Premiere pro cc 2014  8.0.1 (21) build
    Encoder CC 2014 8.0.1.48
I use CC for Teams so it updates all the time.
Again when I tried to use it today by letting premiere open it by sending an output into Queue it crashed both Encoder and Premiere.
In order to shut down Encoder and Premiere I had to go into Task Manager and "End Process Tree" on everything adobe I could find because just ending Encoder did not work it would not close. I remembered that years ago when Premiere would crash we had to end a photoshop process. I found photoshop open even though it was not "alive" on my task bar. I had used it yesterday but had closed it. I also had to close dynamiclinkmanager.exe *32 as well as one of the three Adobe CDF Helper.exe*32. They popped back on but Encode closed and then I got a message that Premiere needed to close and did when I clicked the button to let it close.
After all this I re-opened Encoder by itself and checked the Preferences finding that Import Sequences Natively option was again checked.
By the way for me, "Launch AME manually, then drag the sequence from PPro's Project panel to AME's Queue (or to a preset in the Preset Browser). That uses a different code path than the File>Export>Media workflow." won't work most of the time because I do live events of panel interviews that may run 2 or more hours. I need to break them down to chapters for the web
Also I know this isn't part of this problem but I and many others would still love dynamiclink to work to Encore because the DVD is not dead yet. The current work path is a drag.
Looks like some programers and engineers have some work to do.
    Thanks
    Dennis

premiere cc 2014 don't let me export thru media encoder its stop and close the software after few min

Peferling... I have a positive update! I went to the area that typically made things die. I noticed it was at the tail end of where I inserted a sequence into another sequence. I also noticed I had three tracks in that section with graphics. So I copied all the tracks from the inserted sequence... then removed the inserted sequence and re-inserted the actual tracks. At this point I no longer had an inserted sequence. I then simplified the three tracks of graphics into one. Re-applied my transitions and did last tweaking. I once again tried exporting as H.264 HD... et voila! It worked! Something must have been breaking it.
For now I'm okay and have been able to export into other formats. I want to thank you so much for your input. Regards, Nelson

  • Clips exported with Media Encoder from AE are choppy (CS6)

    Hi!
I'm using Media Encoder (6.0.3.1) to export clips from AE (11.0.4.2) so that I can work with them in PPro (6.0.5).
In Media Encoder I go to add AE composition and I've tried the YouTube HD 1080p 25 and the Broadcast HD 1080p 25 presets (the latter creates a much bigger file but I don't think the file size is the issue - for example, the biggest clip of approx. 1 mintute is 276MB).
The curious thing is that most of the clips that are exported are fine, i.e. they play back fine - the problem is that some of the clips go slow or choppy towards the end of the clip. So the last couple of seconds will be choppy. It basically looks like the frame rate isn't quite right.
Once exported from Media Encoder, I import them into PPro to do some more work - the problem with the clips is apparent when I play the original file in VLC (for example) or in PPro. So it seems like the problem occurs during the export from AE. When I export the video containing the AE clips from PPro the problem is obviously still there (wishful thinking on my part). I use AE just for keying and making some basic titles, nothing massively complex.
I had some problems with RAM preview in AE before, in other words, it wasn't playing the clips back in realtime and the exported clips with the problem look exactly like that (i.e. looks like the frame rate isn't right). I deactivated Enable Disk Cache in AE (Multiprocessing was already deactivated) and now I can play back clips ok in AE using RAM preview - even the ones that go choppy towards the end when they are exported with Media Encoder play back fine in AE.
Could Media Encoder be going back to some previous render files saved somewhere on my system and could that cause some of the exported clips to go choppy?
I'm new to Adobe so I'm just guessing here and I don't want to go about and delete stuff that might not have anything to do with this problem. As I've adopted the computer I'm working on from my predecessor and it's had several users since, the system is a bit of a mess and there are files all over the place. Empting the Disk Cache doesn't actually delete anything for example.
I'm really stuck here because I can't finish the projects I started working on with AE.... I would appreciate someone's input!
    Many thanks in advance!
    My system specs:
    Intel Core i7-3930K, 3.20GHz, 16GB RAM, 64-bit operating system, GeForce GTX 680, Windows 7, Creative Suite CS6
Before using Media Encoder to export clips from AE I was just relying on Dynamic Link between AE and PPro by the way and that made all of the clips choppy for the whole duration (this was before I solved the RAM preview problem and I haven't checked if a working RAM preview would make a difference to dynamic link). So Media Encoder nearly solved the problem. I posted this original problem on creativecow (http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/1045810) but no one has gotten back to me about the new issue unfortunately.

    Thanks for your reply!
I tried using Quicktime with PNG and it created a big file (1.18GB for a 1 minute long clip) that doesn't play back nicely in PPro unfortunately. But I then tried rendering the clip using a lossy format, H.264, in AE and it's playing back ok in PPro! I will just do that for the rest of the clips and hope that this is finally resolved. Many thanks for the tip!
Out of curisoty, do you know what might be causing the problem when I use Media Encoder?

OK, So to be more specific it's hanging when I send it to Media Encoder Queue. I was just able to just do a direct export.
I found the article on permissions and that was not the issue.
I've made no changes to hardware and have done three projects with the same codecs, type footage, duration (1 hour range) with no problems.

Yesterday I've downloaded Quicktime (of a CD which needed it for playing).
But after uninstall Quicktime, the problem is still there.
So I've set back the date to Wednesday (two days ago) but nothing will help.
