Premiere CS6 won't open

I now have a serial number for CS6, and had a trial of CC beforehand. Whenever I open up CS6 now it says my CC trial has expired and won't let me open the program.

Had the same problem, I had to remove CS6 and CC completely and run the Adobe CC Cleaner and reinstall CS6. Make sure you Deactivate CS6 first.

Premiere CS6 is saying "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type." The project is all .SWF files and it was working just fine. It all of a sudden started this. How do I fix this?

Here is the solution. It appears this a Creative Cloud Issue. Very simple fix:
Solution 1: Deactivate, and then reactivate Adobe Premiere Pro
     Launch Adobe Premiere Pro by clicking the application icon. Do not attempt to load a project file.
     Choose New Project, then create a project. The settings you choose in this step are not important. Launch Adobe Premiere Pro so that the Help menu is available.
     Choose Help > Deactivate. Then on the Deactivate, screen click the Deactivate button.
     Launch Adobe Premiere Pro as you did in Step 1.
     On the Sign In Required screen, click the Sign in button.
     If prompted, sign in with your Adobe ID. The full list of sequence presets is reinitialized.
     Open the project the generated the error to ensure that it opens correctly. If you are still unable to open your project, contact Adobe Technical Support.

     Get ready to press the Alt (Option) + Shift keys simultaneously.
     Launch Adobe Premiere Pro by clicking the application icon, and immediately press and hold the Alt (Option) + Shift keys.
     Continue to hold the Alt (Option) + Shift keys down until you see the Welcome Screen. Note: If the preferences have been reset successfully, the Recent Projects area of the welcome screen will be blank.

Premeire Pro CS6 won't open at all. It locks up when it says "Loading QuickLooks_AE10.plugin" and the entire program doesn't respond at all. I think I just did the latest Creative Cloud update for the Premiere CS6 family. How can I get it working again? I have so many videos to edit! Thanks!

Try to remove all the Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable and Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Packages (both x86 and x64) from the Control Panel

You may be able to get round the legacy JAVA requirement as follows:
Create empty folders at “/System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk” and “/System/Library/Java/Support/Deploy.bundle”, to make Illustrator use Jave SE 8 as it should.

MOV is a wrapper that can contain many different codecs. The message you get is indicative of a distribution codec inside the MOV wrapper. You may need to convert the material to an editable codec before importing.

InDesign CS6 won't open files

InDesign CS6 won't open some files. No error message, simply returns to previous 'Open...' view. I've tried restarting, rebooting, resetting my InDesign preferences and re-unzipping the original zip file. I can still open previously worked on files, though. (Even in the second folder of unzipped files, it's the same files that I can and cannot open.) Any ideas? InDesign

That sounds like you have the resource fork for a Mac-generated .indd file. Check to see if there is another file with the same name but a real file size in the zip archive. I suspect the "real" file (the data fork) is being unzipped first, then the resource fork is overwriting without warning and you could solve it by extract9ng the files manually.

WARNING: Premiere CS6 won't load past "Loading ExporterQuickTimeHost" after QT 7.7.3 update

Just what the subject line says, Premiere CS6 won't load up past the splash screen and "Loading ExporterQuickTimeHost" after I updated to QT 7.7.3 (Win7). No other updates done, my CS6 is up to date. I reverted back to 7.6 and problem went away. Just an little word of warning to those who see the update pop up.
If you run into the problem, here's the link to download 7.6. You will have to uninstall 7.7.3 then instal 7.6.

I ran into a similar issue on Premiere Elements 11: On program launch, the system hung on "Quicktimehost.pm". After some troubleshooting with no success, I:
1) Uninstalled Quicktime version 7.7.5
2) Installed Quickitme version 7.6
3) rebooted my machine
4) SUCCESS-> launched Premiere Elements 11 without issue

Premiere Pro CS6 won't open (nor will After Effects)

I'm using a Mac, and this morning my system needed to run two updates. The first was an update for OS X to 10.9.2. It's focus was on improvement to stability, compatibility, and security. The second was a CUDA driver update to 5.5.47. After both of the updates, neither Premiere CS6 or After Effects will open. They get stuck on the loading graphic with the spinning "beachball". I have to force quit both programs. What's weird is that the CUDA update in my system preferences states that "No newer CUDA Driver available" yet below that in red it says that an update is required. This has been extremely frustrating all day long. I've tried all of the following:
Uninstalling both programs and reinstalling
Restarting the computer after each step
Updating the programs usnig the adobe application manager
Launching both from the program icon as well as a project file
I'm guessing this is primarily to do with the CUDA driver situation. I'm not sure how to fix this..

Please go to below mention location on your MAC and delete the referenced file from it and then try to launch the program.
MACINTOSH HD or “Startup drive/Library/Frameworks” and delete “CUDA.Framework”
