Premiere Element 12 does not recognize AVI movies.

Premiere Element 12 does not recognize AVI movies created with Casio Exilim EX-FH100 camera.
The operating system (Win 7 and Windows Media Player) recognizes these files without problems.
While trying to load an AVI movie in Premiere appears this inscription: This file type is not supported, or the required codec is not installed.
How can I fix the problem?

Thanks to your advice I solved the problem.
I installed the codec Morgan M-JPG from an existing link (http://morgan-multimedia-mjpeg-codec.en.lo4d.com/download) different from what I have proposed, this link was continually blocked by my anti-virus.
After restarting Prenmiere Elements 12 (without reboot) AVI movies of my Casio have been read.
The operating system of my PC is Windows 7.

I am not able to burn to my LG Bluray Burner (model WH10LS30).
I am able to burn to another standard DVD drive, but I am trying to burn a HD Bluray now.
My drive does have the latest firmware as of 12/2013 and works fine in my Win7 64bit environment

1. Did you overcome the Shared Technologies error on reinstall? That is a troublesome issue that is independant of Premiere Elements version and computer operating systems. There are many suggested remedies. The one that has been working for me lately is renaming the OOBE Folder to OLDOOBE before reinstall.

and in the Adobe Folder is the OOBE Folder that you rename if this Shared Technologies error is blocking an install or reinstall.

Opening to Task Manager/Processes, finding those .exe files, and doing an End Process typically takes care of those problems.
Since you have reinstalled the program, you must have succeeded in the above. Great job.
Have you done an inspection, seeking pile ups of preview files, conformed audio, and conformed video files? Is the computer defragmented? These days the defragmentation is done automatically, but worth checking.
You indicated that the video card driver is up to date. Was the latest update done after Premiere Elements 11 was working well? If so, you could look at roll back of the video card driver version. If it does not improve the situation, you could always revert to the one that you know to be current.
A remote possibility that an antivirus update might be involved in the recent events. Have you looked at your present situation with and without the antivirus enabled?

Premiere elements does not recognize Blu-Ray disc, says media not present. Under 12 I was able to record 3 blu-ray dvds using the same burner and discs I'm trying with 13. What is the problem?

I installed PE13 and cannot burn blu-ray DVDs. I was able to burn 3 blu-ray DVDs using PE12. When I select DVD from the menu it recogniazes that it is not a stadard DVD as I get an 'incorrect media' error message. It will burn standard DVDs of the same video using standard DVD mefia.
What is going on here?
When I loaded PE 12 back on the computer I cannot load a file created with PE13. Looks like a format change? Can I convert file back to PE12?

Look to Burn To: in the Burn Dialog, and scroll down there to the option that you want.
Please let me know if this ISO Image choice is going to work for you. But I will keeping searching for the answer to these no media present situations.

I have consolidate my folders related to the video I am in the progress of working on. Premiere elements does not follow their new location. How do I syn them back up all at once so premiere doesn't ask me for their location when I open the project

When you open the project, it should ask you where the first file is located. After you tell it where it is, it should be able to find the rest of them if they are located near the first one. Then save the file. If you move the files again, you will have to relink them again.

Adoble photoshop elements does not recognize printer although other software programs do print...

Adobe Photoshop Elements does not recognize printer..error message says you must install printer. Other software does print documents.

Try opening an image in full edit, then press crtl+p
Wait for the print dialog to open and try to select your printer by clicking the dropdown menu.

Photos does not handle AVI movies

iPhoto permitted the import of AVI movies from a "deer cam" SDcard. Plug the chip in and iPhoto asked to import all items on the SDcard, just like photos. Double click on an AVI movie and I could watch the 30 sec clips with no problem. I do have the latest version of Flip for Mac on my iMac as well.
Photos imported the entire iPhoto file (250GB) but will do nothing with the AVI movies. In fact, Photos provides an error of "not being able to find the file" but all the photos and AVI's are in the same places as in the iPhoto library.
Has anyone had this problem yet and/or know how to fix it?
Second question - Does anyone know an easy way to extract all the AVI's from the Photos library and convert them to Mov if I have to do that?

Adobe Premiere Elements does not open after installation

Hello,
I have written before last week. I have bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 and Adobe Premiere Elements 11.
I had a trial version of Photoshop Elements 11 and with the code I could access the full version.
However Premiere Elements did not open after installation. I did not had a trial version so I first downloaded the full program. I went through the whole installation process and everything seemed ok, no error messages. But when I tried to open Adobe Premiere Elements after restarting the computer it did not open at all. Nothing happened.
I have de-installed and re-installed the program for a couple of times over and over again but with not result. Also tried to download the trial version first and also this didn't work. I checked my Quicktime and updated to the latest version.
I use a Windows laptop: Asus Intel Core i5-2430M, 2,4 GHz
I hope you can help me out!

Yes I saw it but PSE (refers to Photo Shop Elements??) and I have trouble with Premiere Elements..(so the video program)
The Photoshop Elements worked.
I am not sure what to do here also the link at your reply "working with your operation system tools" didn't work..(got the "broken link error")

Adobe premiere Elements does not find my Sony HDR-CX160

When I try to use my Hi-DEF Sony HDR-CX160 video camera, Adobe premiere Elements 10 does not "find" the camera. Why not?

When you do use Windows Explorer (or Mac Finder, I think... I don't have a Mac... and you did not say) to copy the files from the camera to your hard drive, do as it says in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1015001?tstart=0 so you don't lose the metadata

DVD does not recognize any movies

Hi everyone.
I have just realized that I have a problem with my DVD drive. It will not play any movies.
It does recognize and play CD's, DVD's with software and even Blank DVD's, but won't display the icon of a DVD with a movie on the desktop.
I have checked the System Preferences for CDs and DVDs and I have the check mark to be displayed on my desktop. It also appears as an active drive in the System Profiler (MATSHITADVD-R UJ-857D:).
I have erased the hard drive and installed a new copy of the OS and it recognized the DVD and played the movies, but after I have installed some other software (Google Earth, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Skype, Photoshop, Quick Time Pro, DIVX, and MacFuse I get again the same problem).
It certainly has to be a problem with incompatibility with any of this software.
Could that be with MacFuse?
Does anyone have any idea of what's happening?
What can I do / suggest?

Juul18 have you removed and reinstalled the software? If so did you receive any installation errors? Premiere cs6 does not recognize USB3 intensity shuttle?

I recently purchased Adobe premiere cs6 and a blackmagic intensity shuttle USB3 for windows. I have succesfully captured video from a deck using the media express software but premiere does not see the blackmagic device. Any ideas?

I recently installed the Intensity USB 3.0 on Premiere Pro CS6.0 windows 64 bit on an Intel Motherboard.
The capture device is installed and works fine and captures ok with the blackmagic capture utilities.
When capturing using HDMI 1080i 50 resolution on Premiere it stops after 1-2 secs.
Tried using the Video for windows capture it works fine there too but does not seem to work with Premiere CS6.
Any advise help suggestion

Updated Windows to 8.1 and now Premiere Elements does not see my Panasonic video camera as source

Is anyone else having issues due to the updated Windows 8.1? I have a panasonic digital video mini casset camera that worked fine using a USB cable to upload video. Now the program will not see the camera as a source. Using a firewire is not an option and was not an issue in the past.

Premiere elements does not accept a serial number

I installed Premiere Elements 11 on a computer one month ago with a serial number.
Yesterday I bought a new computer, and threw the old one away.
Now I want to install Premiere Elements 11 on my new computer, but the serial number is rejected.
How can I manage this problem?

HT3775 Quick Time player does not support AVI movies?

I can't play an AVI movie on quick time player. Why?

If you cant play it in QuickTime, then another media player may be more successful. A couple of good options that generally pick up where QuickTime falls short are VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html) and MPlayer OS X Extended (http://www.mplayerosx.ch).

Premiere does not recognize Codec MOV?

I have Premiere 5.0.3 recently updated and tried to import MOV files recorded with Sony PMW-EX3.
